Plus and minuses to this place but overall I had a great stay and the staff was very friendly.

Lets start out with the perks:
1. BIGGEST perk is the fact that the Emeryville Go Around stops right across the street. Takes you straight the the MacArthur BART station which you can then take to across the bay
2. As mentioned before this has easy access to I-80 which will take you into Oakland or San Francisco (assuming the Bay Bridge is open!!)
3 It's near the the E'ville market place and the Bay St. shopping center so you can easily grab a quick bite to eat if you need too and there is a Trader Joe's, a Bev Mo and a Chase bank across the street.
4. Short drive to Berkeley and Berkeley state park (great view of the sun setting and the Golden Gate bridge.
5. Free Seattle's best in the lobby.

Now for the negs:
1. Hallways felt cramped and narrow
2. Only two computers available in the business center
3. Bar opens late and closes early... I'm not sure when but I was suprised when I walked passed on Sunday afternoon and it was closed. Also limited selection of beers and only two on tap.

this place is conveniently located near shops and eateries. when it comes to location, you can't beat this place as it is central to Emeryville and close to freeway. This is the only hotel in Emeryville which offers free parking :)
I think if u are staying here for under $80, score! otherwise u got punk-ed. i have stayed here on several occasions. on my first stay when i got to my room the AC was blowing, lights were on, door was open and bathroom smelled of chlorine. yup! scared the hell out of me too. For subsequent stays i knew what to expect but the first episode never repeated itself. Thank God. One fo the few places which offers free water bottle
I rather be in Hilton garden inn or courtyard but than they are usually more expensive and charge for parking :(

I agree with the others: great location, reasonable price.  If you're looking to be pampered, this is not the place for you.  But if you are looking for a hotel in a great location with a reasonable price tag, it doesn't get better than this!

I pricelined the s&%t out of a room here.  ($51+tax on a weeknight)

It was very clean and comfortable, if basic.  I was on the top floor, and it really felt like I was the first person ever to stay in the room.

Staff was friendly, and it's right across the street from Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and Circuit City (ohhh, too soon!).

Super-easy freeway access, and right next to the Bay Bridge.  (Don't be thrown off, out-of-towners - despite its deceptive name, this place IS NOT in San Francisco.)

Not the place for a romantic getaway, but if you're looking for something cheap, but better than a Super 8, this is a great option.

This place was good enough for what it was. A clean and convenient place to rest your head. The lobby was nicely decorated and the bar was hopping on a Thursday evening. Go figure. The room was a good size, but the bathroom itself was extra tiny with the sink and vanity located separately from the shower/tub and toilet. I must give them points for the free water bottle and the updated decor of the room.

FYI, I scored a deal (under $100 per night) for this place on http://Hotwire.com. There's lots of shops and chain restaurants located just across the street from this hotel, including a Trader Joes. I just increased my star rating because I remembered that they have a free business center where you can use their computers and printers. Oh - free wi-fi in the hotel too.

Super convenient location!  This is where my parents typically stay when they are in town house hunting.  Although it's an older hotel (at least it looks that way) and it's fairly modest - don't expect a grand lobby, the service is solid and friendly.

The elevators are very slow.  But the rooms are clean and don't smell.  (I hate those "non smoking" rooms that smell like ash trays).  Despite the proximity to the freeways and local businesses nearby, ambiant noise even on the lower floors is minimal.

I stayed at the Four Point Sheraton Emeryville for about a week when I first moved to the Bay Area.   I started working for a very cool tech company in the FiDi and was looking for housing in North Beach, but I didn't have anything lined up at the time.

Since I was pretty broke, having just pulled the plug on my startup about a month earlier, I didn't want to get a hotel at $150+ a night so I actually scored myself a week at this hotel for $79/night by using Priceline.

Anyway, the hotel's nice and the staff was very friendly despite the glare I picked up when I checked in:  "Oh... you're on the Priceline rate, eh?" as they eyed me up and down looking for signs of my being broke or cheap or ???    All in all though, I slept well and I had access to cable TV and this place felt very soothing, always a nice thing when you're moving to a new place which, while stimulating and exciting, is equally terrifying.

Thanks, Sheraton, for facilitating my life back in the Bay Area.

A reunion to remember right here.  I met up with my Xo after not seeing him in years.  I came here with my best friend & requested a double queen size bed for the room.  The only thing in the room that we didn't like was that you cant smoke.  Luckily, there was a sliding glass door for the balcony where we can go out to smoke.  We had a mini drinking party, just the 4 of us.  While getting drunk, we started craving the munchies so we ordered room service.  The room service was quick enough for 4 orders (Mediterranean salad, burger & fries, etc).  We stay here for at least a week so the maid service was great.  New sheets, towels, toilet paper & all the necessities we wanted.  The hotel is close to the freeway, local restaurants & shopping centers.

Overall  it would've been 5 Stars but 4 Stars for everything minus 1 Star for Not Smoking

Stayed here for the first time over Thanksgiving and it's worth a mention just for the oh-so-comfy bed. Wow... I slept soooo well in this king-size bed it made me question my own Sealy mattress' puny existence.

Nice, too, that the Bay Street is a short walk across the parking lot for when you're feelin' the megamallomovieplex experience... With a car, the location is easily accessible to Berkeley, Oakland, and SF.

This hotel serves its purpose very well. The location's convenient since it's right next to the Oakland-SF bay bridge, and it has plenty of free parking. So next time you're heading to SF, especially to the Embarcadero FiDi, consider staying here and hopping on the F to head over to the city. It'll probably save you a lot of dough.

If you're hungry, you can always trot over to Lyon's for a meal. Rates are reasonable (~120/night) unless you decide to stay on the eve of move-in day or graduation days for UC Berkeley, during which prices are increased substantially.

So when booking a hotel I will do plenty of research to get the highest star rating for the cheapest fare, I consider myself a bargain shopper with a taste for luxury! I typically end up booking through hotwire, which is how I ended up with the Four Point Sheraton Bay Bridge in Emeryville for about $75 a night.

My expectations weren't too high considering it was a 3 star hotel but I must say that the service was great. When I checked in I felt that they were asking too many questions, maybe it was because I was in a bad mood and just want to get to my room, but I did feel a little interograted. Not to mention they also asked for my guest's information which was orginally bothersome considering all payment was under my name but eventually it made sense. Everytime we entered or exited the lobby they greeted us and we even got a call maybe an hour after check in to see if everything was ok.

The room itself was decent, good but not great. The bathroom was insanely small, made me feel like I was in an airplane or something.  I did like that we had a balcony that had a beautiful view of San Francisco.

The location was perfect! Close to everything, couldn't ask for more. All in all, I would recommend this place, just beware of the compact bathroom!

Houseguests and fish go bad after a day or two.  That much is true.  This is where we park the out of town guests who went bad last time they visited.

Us:  Oh, you're coming to visit?  That's great, but the 2nd bedroom is wreck, and we're using it to store a lot of stuff.
Them:  Oh, we don't care, we won't take up much space.
Us: No, get a room at the Four Points, they give you daily maid service, and you can get your groove on with a modicum of privacy.
Them:  OK, but you'll pick us up for breakfast, right?

Problem solved.

Rooms where pretty nice.  They lose a star because the bathrooms were on the small side and they don't have connected rooms.  Other than that can't complain.  Parking is cool and Lyons is right downstairs.

These people have the worst billing / costumer service department that I've seen. I would definitely avoid using them and look at the Marriott or other hotels in the area.
