6 reviews for Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles Westside
Staying here for business and it's a good deal in a very convenient location. The staff are friendly (especially those that work in the breakfast area) and the room was nice.
It has wireless internet service (which is always useful) and I was happy to see that they include Q-tips in their toiletries collection for each room (a small touch that was much appreciated). The shower was hot and powerful, which is great after a long day of work on the road.
The beds and pillows were comfy and although the room is small compared to what I've stayed in at other places, it had all the necessary pieces (bed, chair, desk area, closet). My only complaint was that my tv had a weird volume issue and would fluctuate for no reason. That's not a deal breaker for me though...
Parking is $10 and the rooms come with complimentary bottles of water and fancy m&m's. I would gladly stay again.
This hotel is great. I'm there right now. I was able to check in early and get cleaned up and changed for the day, was exceptional for my planning. The hotel is very modern and updated, and for the lower level to have such a full service hotel is great. The parking thing is odd, just a way to get another $10 a night without putting it on the room rate, but every hotel in LA area charges for parking, for the most part. It's close to freeways and beaches. Staff was very nice, and room was clean and complete. Would definitely reccommend this for the budget concious shopper who doesn't need a ton of luxury. Only downfall was movies were all over $10 a piece!!!
This is a typical Four Points by Sheraton. Nothing fancy, just a decent hotel in a central location. It is close to the LAX airport, Sepulveda Blvd, the 405, Culver City, and surroundings.
It is old, but has been remodeled in the recent past. It has a gated parking area that will cost you $10 per day to park as a guest. The lobby is small and it is really just a sleeping hotel. There is a restaurant, but the Four Points at LAX (on Airport Blvd) actually has a nicer restaurant and exotic beer bar.
Last year I stayed here because it was cheap, just about $100. This year, I stayed here because the LAX Four Points didn't have any rooms. The rate in May for this Four Points was higher this year, $155. I think for that rate, you might do better, like a Suite hotel with a larger room, right at the airport, or in an outlying suburb.

I had a very pleasant stay here. The free wifi made me able to work very efficiently in my bedroom. The room was small, the smallest I've had but it was very comfortable and my King size bed made me want to stay in all the time. I liked the fact that I could plug my laptop right into the bed's headboard. That's very clever! The TV has a lot of channels, including HGTV. I love HGTV! I also liked the daily free Arrowhead bottle and the fact that you do not only find coffee in your room but tea as well. I was very pleased since I don't drink coffee and most places don't do that so thank you!
The housekeeping and staff in general is very polite, courteous and friendly. Front desk is very helpful and efficient. From the moment I step foot in this hotel I had a good feeling about it. The location was perfect for me as I needed to be in Culver City and meet people in Culver, Marina del Rey and Venice. I had breakfast and dinner here and it was good. The burger was just ok but the French fries were good. Try their chicken masala. Fox Hills mall right across the street makes it easy to get food if you don't feel like eating at the hotel and there's a See's Candies. Ah, chocolate...
Room service is prompt. Definitely try their apple pie. Yummy.
I met a friend in the library for two hours and it was very enjoyable: quiet, private enough with a large table for my laptop and our teas, croissants, etc.
The staff really makes this place what it is: comfortable and warm. For the price, I'll definitely stay again.

As a Starwood member, I decided to use a bunch of my points recently that I'd been accumulating for several years. I decided to stretch out my points and stay at a mid-level place. I had low expectations based on my other experiences at Four Points Hotels. I am happy to report that this hotel was better than expected!
Let me make it clear - this is NOT a Fancy shmancy hotel. I'm giving it 4 stars for being a great medium priced hotel.
For what it cost (points-wise and actual price-wise), it was well decorated and very clean. It looked modern. The staff was nice.
I didn't use the gym, so I cannot comment on it. But, the place was definitely up to my expectations as a starwood member.
I read the the first yelp review about this place and I was shocked at her comments. I think she got a little too upset about some of the things that happened to her. They hardly warrant a 1 star rating, but I guess that's her opinion and she's entitled to it.
Still, I'd recommend this place to friends on a budget who want to stay on the westside.

Obviously from my other Yelps I am a Starwood member and fan. I normally will not stay in anything below a 4 star unless I have friends or family nearby. i was traveling with a friend and we stayed here.
Now, let me back up and tell you why I chose this place. Four Points is your lower level Starwood property. My friend is both frugal and spartan so I thought this would be a nice compromise. I stayed at a Four Points in Detroit. I got lectured by little old lady after little old lady that I am _NOT_ to drive through Detroit at night. I should stay at a nice hotel and wait for the morning before heading on to Saginaw. The Four Points in Detroit was just this side of glamorous. My room was gorgeous. They gave me that special Starwood treatment. Clearly, I saw the soft side of Detroit, back to Culver City.
Just say no like it's crack. I registered as a Starwood member and didn't get my perks. There was missing furniture! FURNITURE!!! They botched my breakfast order. The front desk told us they'd hail us a cab. They told a lot of guests that same lie. There was jacked up equipment in their workout room. If I remember correctly there was a pile of funky towels.
I complained. I was angry. I was perturbed and disgusted. Obviously they gave me enough points for another stay at a Sheraton. I do like the way Starwood handled it but it truly was the very least they could do.
