We just got married at the Foundry on Halloween, and it was fabulous! Casey Gray, our Foundry wedding contact, was super detail-oriented and really took care of us. The venue is beautiful for pictures (inside & out), the spa is great, and our guests are still raving about how great it was - and how wonderful it was to have everything all in one place: the ceremony upstairs, the reception downstairs, a bar (Melting Point) right behind, and a great restaurant (Hoyt House) onsite where we hosted our brunch.

Almost all our guests stayed there at the hotel, and it was so self-contained that it made it easy for all the travelers we had there in Athens. And our photographers loved it, too. Lovely venue, lovely staff - I highly recommend the Foundry for weddings!

The Foundry is the place I stay whenever i'm in Athens and they have never let me down.

This place looks awesome. Its an old converted foundry with several buildings and a nice little house in the middle of the compound like center area. The rooms are super comfortable and the beds are top shelf. I've only found one other hotel bed this nice and it was at Bellagio in Vegas.

The resturant in the main building, called the Hoyt House, is great. I've really only eaten breakfast there but i'm a big fan of morning food. Its a very classy atmosphere complete with fireplaces and white table clothes. Be warned, its pricey. Cheap food is all over the place in Athens but not here, but its totally worth it.

The other building contains a space for special events and they often have entertainment. There is a little dark pub time area that i really enjoy late at night when the air is crisp and they open up the windows so you can hear the music, have a beer, and just enjoy Athens. If you must leave, its cool, Its walking distance from downtown and the cab fair back, assuming you remember where your going and can still speak, should be pretty cheap.

I really can't say enough about the Foundy. I love it and can't wait to go back. I've already got reservations for the spring when i'm going up for a wedding.

One of my best friends got married here this past December.  The staff was really helpful, the space was beautiful (especially after we, her girlfriends, spent all day decorating!  ha), and the overall ambiance of the place is pretty nice.

It's actually a converted old foundry, where they used to make/design/mold/carve/whatever-you-do-to-prettify -iron iron up until this past century. The remodeling and renovations kept the original brickwork, so you are definitely met with a sense of history and time as you approach the buildings on the property. Its placement in Athens is interesting, too, caddycorner to the Visitors Center (which is awesome! Everyone, take a tour!). The Foundry is at the northeast corner of the downtown square, so staying here means you're just at the tip of the action. (Though there's nothing much directly around you--you'll have to walk a couple blocks to find any restaurants and bars.)

The spa's supposed to be pretty nice, but it's too pricey for the likes of me.

I like it.

Historic looking hotel within a compound of different style buildings.  Great for a wedding, which is why I was there.   The rooms are nice including the suites.
Nice looking outdoor restaurant.  Decorated banquet room and a Brewery type bar with outside seating.... what else?

This place has it all.  Especially atmosphere.

Walking distance to central Athens, where everything else is happening.

If you're in Athens, and you need a hotel, you better not go to a Holiday Inn.  Trust me, this place is beautiful.  Sometimes, I space-out at work, and I dream of just spreading out on a breath-taking queen size at the Foundry.  Then I wake-up, and gently place the barrel of the pistol on my temple because live in New fucking Jersey, and not The Foundry.
