3 reviews for Foundation CrossFit
Foundation Crossfit - What can I say? These guys treat me like family, and kick my ass every time I work out. I keep going back for the challenge and the fun of it.
If you don't know Crossfit, go to http://www.crossfit.com. It's a great workout that is different every time, focused on being able to do anything you want to and be good at it - ie martial arts, mountain climbing, or running. That all around kind of fitness.
Every Saturday at noon is a free workout - come check it out, I can't say more good things about Foundation.
I love Foundation Fitness! If you haven't done Crossfit before--you'll be amazed by the results!
Foundation Fitness is something that has truely changed the way I think about working out. The level of teaching that goes on in their classes is amazing, and I have gone from someone who was intimidated by lifting and doing anything other than cardio work, to working my entire body with almost all of my workouts. Their ability to adapt to any skill levels is also a huge plus. Highly Recommended!!!
Specialties
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for everyone from housewives and business professionals who have no exercise experience to military, law enforcement, and professional athletes worldwide.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We've used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don't change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, professional athletes, weekend warriors and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
History
Established in 2007
We started doing CrossFit workouts at Greenlake park in the summer of 2007. After building a gathering in the park using only two kettlebells, a pair of rings and our bodies we bit the bullet and opened a small box on Lake City Way where we really grew our movement as well as refined our training styles.
We stayed there for over a year and a half and now we're moving to our newer, bigger and better operation in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood to share elite fitness with everyone.
Meet the Business Owner: Andrew B.
I've been a trainer since 2006, worked my way up the corporate ladder to management positions, found CrossFit, became certified and opened my own box.
I have a background in gymnastics, powerlifting, olympic lifting, martial arts, competitive cheerleading and am looking to get a degree in Exercise Science.
