I came here orignally just for ice cream, but their brunch and lunch is amazing.
For $12, I got a giant bowl of the best chicken noodle soup I've had in a long time, a fresh Greek salad, and a huge bowl of frozen yogurt.
Everything was amazing. Hard to finish, even, because it was so big.
Better than Pinkberry. The best small joint in NY, I think

BEST frozen yogurt, except Flurt & Red Mango, in the city!

amazingly smooth and creamy, yet extremely sour which me LOVES!

when I heard "15 dollars" for 2 plain fro-yos with fruit toppings (blueberry & strawberry), I thought it's INSANE..  2 dollars for only one fresh cut fruit topping??  arggggg..

when I got 1 small plain for me + 1 regular plain for my bro with berries, I thought it's INSANE..  look at The Tower of Babel..

money wise, worth it!  it fulfilled my belly..  like good portion of meal..

** Fro-yo itself, it's 4-star..  however, cuz they do serve my favorite, S&S cheesecake, let me add one more hi-five star!

Froyo review only. I have to say, after the hype, I was a bit disappointed - I was expecting to be blown away, and while I enjoyed my dessert, it simply didn't hold a candle to the 5-star froyo establishments (Berrywild, Flurt, and Red Mango - in order). Froyo is a burgeoning enterprise in this city, making competition stiff, and the gap between the very good and the amazing vast. This place deserves 4 stars in its own right, but I doubt I will come back here when I could go to any of the others instead.

Nearing 6:30 pm on a weekday night, this place - sort of a cafe/restaurant, with casual seating across from the register, and a more formal seating area for full meals in the back - was full of fro-yo eaters, but there was no line.  Lara R. and I were both eager to try the strawberry (nonfat) flavour, and each received a heaping spoon. Other flavours were plain (at 2 machines out of 3), coffee, and chocolate. I also asked to tried the chocolate, which was delicious - very rich and well, chocolatey - not always achieved in nonfat fro yo.

The plain, if I recall, is actually lowfat based on what I could read of the label on the machine; I opted for a small with strawberry and plain side by side. The strawberry, like the chocolate, was intensely flavoured - quite sweet, very fruity - and had an identically smooth-fluffy texture. It wasn't overfilled with air, but it had this lightness to it and the way it melted reminds me of Smoochies. If you like REALLY smooth, SOFT frozen desserts, this is for you.

Neither the strawberry nor the chocolate had a yogurt flavour - no tang at all - much like Colombo's froyo. Who knows if they are even cultured - I saw no info on ingredient or nutritional content posted anywhere. So I was surprised when I first tasted the plain, which DOES have that sour, yogurt-y tang. However, it's not nearly as sour-authentic as any of the 5-star spots - it lacks the depth of true yogurt flavour. Texture wise, it's very smooth - not as smooth as the other two flavours - but still very pleasant and without flaws.

The size of the 'small' (rather pricey at $4.88 with tax) overwhelmed me; while the clear plastic dish is maybe 8 oz or just under in size, a serving looms over the edge by at least the same amount. I actually almost struggled to finish it all, and can't imagine how I would finish a larger size. Lara's portion of oreo topping was similarly gargantuan. After finally demolishing my small mountain, I felt a bit uncomfortably full - the froyo sat in my stomach rather heavily. While I'm sure that's partially due to sheer volume, I also think the actual product lacks the lightness of many counterparts in how it feels once consumed. I would have preferred a smaller, cheaper size option.

If you want a very creamy, soft frozen dessert that I presume is lower in calories than soft serve ice cream, 40 carrots is a great choice. If you want refreshing, tart frozen yogurt that you know is low cal and light on the belly, go elsewhere. Note: they do take credit cards!

Recommended for:  Fro-yo, soups, salads, sandwiches.

Food 5, Service 3, Ambiance 3.

Working in a building very close to Bloomies I'm surprised I never heard of this place before.  My Sassy Sista J decided it was time to re-introduce me to the wonders of Bloomies and specifically Forty Carrots.  Tucked up on the 7th floor of Bloomies (bedding section) is this mini-restaurant/fro-yo bar.

From the get-go, I have to say this disco 70s white thing is blinding.  I get that they want to be hip and cool, but this is just pure overkill.  To top this off, they have plasma menu screens with blueish backing and letters in orange and yellow.  Its bad enough I'm sorta blind, but to make it practically impossible for the visionly impaired to see is just cruel.  Add to this the sub-par Bloomies service and I wasn't feeling this place.  But the fro-yo, it changed all that.

Their greek style fro-yo is tart, yet smooth and filling.  I didn't like tart yogurt at first, but I think it was because it was in a mock-green tea type form instead of an original state.  Here, they have 2 sizes - regular and large.  The regular is piled VERY high.  The toppings I've found here are among the freshest next to Flurt; however unlike Flurt, the size of the fruit is quite large.  Instead of mincing the strawberries into cubes, they slice them.  I like a good size portion of a topping and unlike other places, they put the toppings in the middle  of the fro-yo.  I like this as it allows you to enjoy the yogurt, and then when you reach a point, start getting your toppings.  Plus, I like combining, and turning my original yogurt into a strawberry or blackberry yogurt... Their yogurt does come in 3 or 4 flavors, but I always get the original.

You can go to the right or the line and sit down and eat.  They have sandwiches, snacks, soups and salads which seemed good according to the patrons, but I'd get dizzy and irratated by the service and decor; so stick to what they are good at and known for, and grab your fro-yo and go!

Sean Approved:  Definitely YES!

Never before have I been inundated with so much frozen yogurt in my life.

I ordered a small plain yogurt to see if this uptown cafe can get the simple stuff right, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was presented with a tower of white, swirly creaminess poking out from a plastic cup, with a "Here you go, baby face" from the lady at the cashier for good measure.

I'm glad my friend was with me to split it, as it was almost laugh-inducing how large this, this THING was. And it was smooth, incredibly dense, and not too tart (a surprising observation when everyone else seems to find it very sour); in many ways it brought back fond memories of what I'd remembered "frozen yogurt" to taste like, not this airy transparency we've been trained to indulge in nowadays.

Definitely stop in and spend your 4.50. Don't be intimidated by the lines, as service is surprisingly quick.

Oh yum... how had I missed this one before, with my oh-so-frequent visits to Bloomie's? Although, I feel like this one's a bit tucked away. I totally echo everyone else who said the small? Yeah, it's more than enough. Large and I'd probably have an ice cube for a brain...

I went for my inaugural trip with Julia N on I believe a Wednesday and found myself back there again a couple of days later. Addicted much? Hah yeah.

The vanilla (original) is a bit tart. It does have sort of a cream cheese after taste. It was good, but not my favorite out of the offerings. This one is low-fat (I believe if my memory serves me correctly the others are fat free).

I really liked the double chocolate and the red raspberry. The chocolate had just the right degree of chocolate-y-ness about it -- not where you felt hit upside the head by chocolate, but also not like Tasti D-Lite where it's more like an "essence" of chocolate. The red raspberry was just amazing. Oh. My. If I didn't know that they rotate flavors, I think I'd be back more often to get this one.

I also had the strawberry. Quite tasty as well, although I'd put it just a smidge behind the chocolate and red raspberry offerings.

All of the above, by the way, I had with Oreo. {drool} And they don't skimp you on toppings. They put a heaping chunk of them right in the middle of the ice cream. And this? This is perfect. It sort of manages to work its way up into the top half and, of course, is perfectly mingled with the bottom portion of your fro-yo.

Oh yum yum fro-yo...

The frozen yogurt here is unlike any frozen yogurt that you can find in all of America. It's tart and tangy and is a bit grainy. Mix that with fruit and honey and you've got food of the gods. It's filling. It's cool. It's great in the summer, it's fantastic in the winter. It soothes your throat, brings a smile to your face and makes your tummy happy.

When there also check out their vegetable soup. Hearty, flavorful and oh so good to the last drop.

I'm really partial to this place, can you tell? I more or less grew up in this restaurant. When I was small, my mother during the work week, would frequently walk into my bedroom early in the day and say to me, "I'm going to the City, I have to go to a few showrooms in the D&D building, then have lunch in Bloomingdales. Do you want to come along, or do you want to go to school?"

Gee what type of answer do you think I gave her?? As a child I was always amazed how busy Bloomies was during the weekdays. After walking through the calm and quiet of the D&D (Decorators & Designers) Building, Bloomies was a loud, fun and raucous wake up call.

Going down, down, down to the basement for a lunchtime treat was so much fun. I'd be surrounded by oh so sleek tall and gorgeous women, women who looked like they stepped out of the pages of Vogue to have lunch with the rest of us. I would look longingly at them and vow to myself that I would look as sleek and gleaming as they did when I grew up.

There was a waitress who ruled that cafe. Tall and regal, she'd looked down her nose at you if she felt you weren't being polite enough to her. If you'd ask her what something tasted like, and if she liked you, she'd grab a large spoon and lob whatever it was onto your plate, bowl or any flat object near you. You never questioned her, you just tasted it and said thank you.

As I wrote before, I spent most of my childhood and I feel like half my teens and early adulthood here with Mom having lunch after  spending time in showrooms.

When I moved back to the city, I was hesitant to go back to the restaurant that seemed to be a backdrop of my life, so much in my life had changed. I was older, wiser and sadder.

My mother was nearing the end of her struggle with Alzheimer's, she'd no longer be my giggly lunch companion. No longer able to sit next to me, gossip about the other patrons and what they were wearing, not able to talk about the fabrics and the furniture we saw, no longer able to talk about the sales, the shoes and all the silly things mothers and daughters talk about.

Could I do it? I tried. I walked in, sat down at the counter and burst into tears. I left.

Mom died not to long ago, and Oh I miss her, I miss sitting in this hectic place and discussing what is the perfect topping for this heavenly yogurt.

Mom I hope you have Bloomies frozen yogurt in heaven.

To me, Forty Carrots isn't just a place to eat yogurt, it's where I learned to be a woman.

23 years ago when my mum re-entered the work force after having 4 kiddies, she decided to own her own business and took over the Honey Treat Yogurt Shoppe. She sold two brands of yogurt, the good one I can't remember the name and the second was Honey Hill, which was just okay. Honey Hill was really rich, sweet, and creamy. Guess what? Forty Carrots tastes exactly like Honey Hill. I've had Forty Carrots yogurt before. It's nothing new.

I was charged 5 bucks for my dutch chocolate and Reese's bits. Forty Carrots serves a little yogurt on the bottom, fills the middle portion with your topping, and then piles the yogurt on top as much as the little plastic container can take. A small is a huge portion. I was kinda bummed I couldn't even finish mine. It ended up being too sweet. Sugar overload.

The line is out the door at Forty Carrots and people get the large sized yogurt. I don't know how they do it. The crowd is interesting. There was a little boy who was riding on his Razor scooter. I guess if you can bring rodent dogs into Bloomies you can bring your scooter. Everyone was dressed casually in borderline house/workout clothes covered up by their Burberry jackets. My favorite fashion rule: "You can have the worst outfit on but no one will care if you are wearing a fabulous jacket over it." And my favorite observation of the clientele of Bloomies was, well actually, it is what I over heard.

"What? You don't have a Blackberry?!" said by some Sweet 16 teen.

Oh my bad, yea I thought everyone had one too.

Anyhows, I didn't think the yogurt at Forty Carrots was all that. I love how the menu said to come and see what all the fuss is about. Give me a taste of something innovative Bloomies. If my mom's shoppe were still running and in NYC, she'd kick your @ss because her yogurt was so much better.

I'm shocked I've yet to review this place. I'm constantly @ Bloomies- shopping and eating a HUGE portion of fro-yo.

I'd suggest sitting down and having a meal here- they've got great salads and sandwiches! They've got a great combo of half a sandwich and a small yogurt- which is awesome and totally filling.

The tart greek style frozen yogurt, is always served in a pile high manner, so the small serving is HUGE- and get the melba topping  (raspberry sauce) it's my new passion.

All in all, I'd suggest coming here, it's well worth it. Then go buy yourself some $300 shoes.

The best fro-yo in the City (this coming from the person who first said that pinkberry is overrated!).  I tried their plain frozen yogurt (which is great cuz it has just a lil bit of tang to it) and I tried their Chai Milkshake (my favorite thing ever). It uses Tavalon Tea's (best tea in the USA) chai tea and chocolate fro-yo for a combo that will make you want to keep shopping for hours (something I can do anyway).

I was delighted to learn that Tavalon's tea is also served at 40 Carrots - my favorite teas and my favorite dept store together in one place... 40 Carrots!

Highly recommended!!!

While shopping for my overpriced Calvin Klein bedding, I stumbled across a random bright themed froyo joint that is worth trying.  I introduce to you Forty Carrots.

The portions are seriously gynormous. Honestly, it gave me a stomach ache after awhile yet I kept eating it because I was greedy.

Anyway, the ambiance is bright, cheery, and clean. Very "Asian". I felt like I was in Korea or Hong Kong.

The yogurt comes in different flavors- Plain (tart), Blueberry, Coffee, and I believe another flavor but I didn't bother.

The flavored flavors were a bit creamy and airy, which I didn't care for. However, the plain tart was interesting at first.  The texture was much more creamy than I would have liked, and at first I cringed tasting it.  It reminded me of cheesecake or cream cheese... however as you eat more and more, it gets addicting. I actually started to enjoy it.

The only wish I had was that it was more "icy" in flavor and less creamy.  The cream made it melt a lot quicker and it was hard to eat when it was melty.

Toppings are $1 each.  Some exotic ones were the honey, Melba sauce (raspberry) which was delicious, chocolate covered goji berries (ancient auspicious berry from Tibet that improves your eye sight).

Slightly pricey if you sit there, but it's a cute ambiance.  The food looked delicious as well. Great lunch place. 3 stars for the yogurt but an extra star for the theme, unique toppings and the ambiance. Minus 1 star for not having carrots as a topping and I didn't count 40. There were like 3 big ones on display. False Advertisement.

I am reviewing the plain frozen yogurt and the chocolate one.

first off, lemme just say, what is up with the OVERPOWERING perfume at Bloomies?!  it gave me a such bad a$s headache. maybe that's why i couldn't use my five (six? kidding) senses enjoy this fro-yo. MAYBE.

but whether my review is tainted or not, i'm gonna write it true to what i felt when i was there.

OKAY. so finally... today, i decided to travel half an hour to the Bloomingdales on Lexington to try their much-raved Forty Carrots froyo. You see, lately i have been addicted to frozen yogurt. at first it was Pinkberry, but then i discovered Red mango and Flurt, etc...so now i'm on like a conquest for the best froyo in America. (you can probably tell that i'm an addict seeing how I have even picked up on the term "froyo"..o i am so corny :P )

ya'll are gonna start trampling over me for saying this but it's got to be said.

WELL...... Forty Carrots was definitely NOT even close to its competitors! I got on the line and was all excited because omg this might be better than Red Mango! holy shiz right? NO!
it sucked. sorry but it really did. something was just really off. there was some foul spoiled-milk taste in my plain frozen yogurt (i got it with malt balls and carob chips) and the chocolate one tastes just like that of Mister Softee's (which costs, mind you, like five times less than that of Forty Carrot's).
not to make this any worse but the toppings sucked too. you need to add two dollars for the mystery "fruit of the day" and a dollar for like a spoonful of candy/chocolate.

yes i do have to admit that the portions are BIG...and the designs are cute and all...but honestly i would rather pay more to indulge in Red Mango's frozen yogurt (which is currently my favorite) or maybe even Pinkberry, than Forty Carrots.

WAY overrated!

#1 Frozen Yogurt in the city - It's creamy with a real tart yogurt flavor. I usually have it plain because why should you mask the flavor of something so delish!

Pinkberry does not even come close in texture, flavor and value for money!

The frozen yogurt is 5 stars. My advice would be to hit the left line, and get the fro yo to go. Right line is for table service in the restaurantm which can range from ok to really really lousy. For some reason, I thought they opened at 11am, but we ended up browsing some more until they opened at 11:30am.  It should hardly be a shock to the restaurant that there would be a lot of people coming in on a saturday on the early side. Within 5 minutes of opening, 7-8 tables were seated. By 11:45am, about half the restaurant was full. There was ONE WAITER. It was a hot mess. We waited 30 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged because the poor guy was running around. Impossible situation for a single waiter. I've loved 40 carrots since I was a kid, and it is the best frozen yogurt by far in Manhattan (it was Pinkberry before Pinkberry was even a twinkle in its momma's eye), but like with burgers, cupcakes, pizza, et al, NOTHING is worth waiting this long for. If there's no wait, then go for it. Otherwise, just get it to go.

One of my favorite frozen yogurt places in Manhattan.  My favorite flavors are plain, mango, banana and butter pecan.  The food here is not bad either and has gotten much better since they moved to the 7th floor.  Try the Zorba Salad, tuna or sonoma chicken sandwiches.  The bunched lunches come with frozen yogurt and at 11 dollars is the most bang for your buck!

As far as I'm concerned, it could be -40 DEGREES outside and I'd still go for FroYo at 40 Carrots.

I've never had PinkBerry (!!) so I can't compare the 2, but the Plain Yogurt at Bloomie's is a-ma-zinnnng. The small is like a large (I don't even want to see the large) so even though they are overpriced (which is the reason for losing a star....) you ARE getting a lot for your $.

Great, now I want some.

Ok. This is hands down the very best real frozen yogurt in the city. It's tangy, not too sweet and good for you. The plain flavor is the yummiest. This is one little slice of old New York that few people know about. It has been around, I believe, since the late 70s. It is no longer on the metro section, you have to travel up to the top floor where the bedding is sold which is a bit of a pain but it's worth it. The only other place to get it, if they still have it, is at Cafe Lalo on the upperwest side.

Pinkberry fanatics beware-- fro-yo at 40 Carrots is a bit more creamy, a bit more tasty, a no frills yogurt of unadulterated one-flavor goodness.  This is NOT your Pinkberry substitute.  Whereas Pinkberry is for instant gratification, the equivalent of your daily cup of coffee, or if I dare make the analogy, your neighborhood DQ ice-cream--40 Carrots is a bit more decadent...it is the gelato of yogurts!   What are you waiting for?  If ever in Bloomies, this fro-yo is every bit worth the trip to the 7th floor, past the bedding & linens section,  where you'll be greeted by the bright, cheery enclave.  Cute spot. Must check out, and for the size of their small cup, definitely worth the price.

YUM!

I hadn't expected anything particularly special, especially since froyo is one of my favorite things on earth... but Forty Carrots was one of those happily unexpected things that you get to try every once in awhile.

While walking home one day, my friend and I decided to check out this "amazing froyo" place. Well it's on the 7th floor of Bloomie's. Just take the elevator up and walk straight (past some bedding items) and turn left and you're greeted by the Forty Carrots cafe.

I got a Chocolate Banana Shake and my friend just got their plain yogurt. I have to admit, both were quite delicious. A little pricey, but well worth it if you don't like the tanginess of Pinkberry and think Dairy Queen is too sweet. Their froyo has the right in the middle taste... tangy, but slightly creamy and mildly sweet. :)

Basing this review only on their 'Yogurt-flavored' Frozen Yogurt and comparing it with 'Cafe Lalo' and the 'Pinkberry's and the 'Flurt's' of the city, I give it a low above-average.

Pros:
1) ||Huge Portions||
2) ||Texture||. Creamy

Cons: ||A bit too Sugary for my taste & not as tangy||., ||Lack of Fruit Fruit topping options||, ||Long lines @ peak shopping hours||

Now, if I had to pick between 40 carrots and the Tasti-D's, Crema Delita's, and TCBYs of the world... 40 carrots would be on top.

I finally got around to trying their frozen yogurt, and I'm kicking myself for not going there sooner.

At first I was horrified by the price for each size, but when I saw what a small looked like I was more than appeased, I was slightly shocked. So was the woman in front of me, who ordered a regular size and stared in near horror at the pint-sized portion that was doled out for her.

I had the coffee and plain flavor, and both were scrumptious! Coffee was creamy, a little bitter yet still sweet, but the plain was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Forget Pinkberry - this is clearly REAL yogurt that's been frozen and blended, rich and creamy with a delicious. refreshing tart taste. Unlike Tasti-D, this frozen yogurt is rich and creamy, a small size is satisfying for hours. A perfect treat, and a less guilt-inducing one (except for the size).

I only came here for the frozen yogurt - looks like that is what everyone else does too, and it was amazing! It's not the "ice-cream-like" froyo, but more like frozen real yogurt (the sour-ish kind; think of a frozen sweet lassi). It was so delicious and pure.

There are tons of topping options and different flavors each day to choose from (mango, often coffee), but I love just plain.

The bad news is that it is fairly pricey (I think you end up spending over $4 for the least expensive option) and you can't get anything smaller than 8 oz!

Wanna know how it compares with Pinkberry? It's similar in flavor, but it is thicker and has this almost cream cheese like after-taste. I still like pinkberry too though.

So I thought my friend and I were so smart for discovering that this fro yo is very much like Pinkberry's fro yo, but so much better...and then I see you yelpers have beat me to it.  Sigh...

So yeah...what the rest of them said. It taste like Pinkberry's yogurt, but it's so much better (and I happen to think Pinkberry is pretty darn good!).  And today they had peanut butter yogurt as well, which mixed very well with the plain yogurt. And don't forget the carob chips on top! I'll be back tomorrow for more!!

I was there for lunch yesterday. The bundled lunch is a very good deal (my friend got that). I got the big yogurt, which is a much more honest yogurt than Pinkberry, which leaves a giant hole in their serving. If you ask the server at Pinkberry politely to fill your hole, they ask you leave. What is a woman TO DO?!

Anyways, we were sitting next to this suburban looking couple planning their wedding. I wanted to reach over and slap this man silly, as he tolerated his fiance's insane rantings. This bitch didn't even talk to him the whole time--she was on her Blackberry. WHAT IS HE THINKING? And bitch had a Steve Urkle voice. You are going to be legally bound to that lunatic, sir. Back out while YOU CAN.

NO GOOD!

1 star for the yogurt.
1 star for the nice Asian waiter (explained below)

First, what the hell is wrong with the staff there?  They are all bizarre and incompetent.  We line up for 15 min, get to the cashier and she says they are out, come back later.  Couldn't they have stated that earlier?  We come back 15 min later and wait in line again.  I see one woman throwing apples into the bag, each one bouncing against the table - PLOP & THUD  (they were cleaning up for the night - packing the fresh fruit for the next day, SO DON'T EAT THE FRUIT THERE - THEY ABUSE THE APPLES THERE!!).  I notice that these women pipe the yogurt sloppily looking like turds; very unappetizing, but then notice the cafe guys piping beautiful cones of yogurt.  We move over to the cafe (sit down area) where there is no wait.

Second, the yogurt is way too creamy and too sweet.  I think Pinkberry NYC is much better (even though I believe it to be sub par to the LA Pinkberry).

As for the asian guy, he was nice and polite.  Before he served us our water, he noticed the cup was dirty and returned with a new one.  Any other waiter probably wouldn't have cared.  Plus, I love him for giving me extra addictive chocolate covered mint sticks.  Bite, crunch and chew for minty goodness!

5 stars for the froyo. 4 stars for the rest.
I went the day the new Forty Carrots opened on its new floor and the staff was super friendly. I just love this place! It's a cute little cafe with a tasty, healthy menu and absolutely delicious frozen yogurt.
Sure the yogurt seems expensive, but they give you a hell of a lot and it is SO GOOD.
And should you decide to eat a sandwich or entree, the service is usually very good. On the downside, the blueberry pie was nothing to write home about.
I can't resist the lasagna. I almost feel I have to eat it to have the complete Bloomies experience.

Ok, I thought Pinkberry was the best thing ever till I tried this place - Forty Carrots has the best frozen yogurt in New York - hands down!! Their plain frozen yogurt has the "bacteria" flavor that Pinkberry yogurt has but you also have the option of trying their other flavors like Peach and Coffee. Plus they're not stingy with their toppings!! My favorite combo? Plain and coffee froyo with granola topping - nothing beats it!!

I pretty much agree with what the other Yelpers have said so far...  The fro-yo here is tasty and very much like Pinkberry's.  I ordered the smallest sized (8 oz.) plain yogurt with bananas and pineapple and enjoyed it thoroughly.

The sizes are pretty big; I'm glad I only ordered the 8 oz. because I almost couldn't finish it!

My friend ordered a large-sized coffee-flavored yogurt and let me sample a few spoonfuls of it.  First of all, a large is waaay too big for any one person to eat (at least I think so).  Secondly, the coffee flavor is really different from the plain flavor. It's much more like ice cream frozen yogurt, not the tart kind of yogurt that I had ordered.  It was good (very strong coffee flavor) but nothing special, and my friend remarked that he wished he had ordered the plain instead.

I tried it a few times and liked it but only tried the coffee flavor because they were out of the plain.  It was good but I like that sour fro-yo taste and the coffee flavored was a bit to sweet for my blood.  next time I go I will try the plain.

Trust me, I love me some frozen yogurt and, hence, have tried it all.  Pinkberry is good, and I know it's the "it" yogurt establishment right now, but Forty Carrots has offered tart, fresh, frozen yogu for years and years and the quality has never wavered. Be Prepared! Even the size small is quite large. I must say, however, that I've never had trouble finishing mine with a smile :-)  BTW, this yogurt tastes like yogurt which is what makes it good, if you ask me. If you want your yogurt to taste like ice cream than buy a pint a Hagaan Das.

Come here for frozen yogurt that actually tastes like yogurt--tart and not too sweet. The small is very large, so opt for that unless you're ravenous or in possession of a tapeworm. I'd gladly give the yogurt five stars, but the staff deserves far fewer, hence the downgrade to four. They are slow, disorganized, often rude, and prone to messing up orders. In essence, you have to run a gauntlet to get your hands on the good stuff.  Bon chance!

seems like i'm one of the few who doesn't like this place...

space: on the 7th floor of bloomie's, a bit of a journey to get there. they have a small sit-down section for you take-out folks, but a sizable section for the sit-downs. really bright and epileptic colors/stripes in the image of pinkberry.

food: if you don't like protein-salads of any flavor, you won't like the sandwich options. tuna salad, chicken salad, tuna salad again... i'm a really picky eater, so i only found the caesar salad and noodle soup interesting.

service: hmm, slowish. unimpressive.

yogurt: if you hate pinkberry - don't. get. plain. yogurt. just don't do it. the chocolate is pretty sweet too. i don't see what the big deal is about. oh, the large for $7 is enormous. like, a laughable giant bowl of yogurt.

price: i spent $12 for a chicken caesar salad. you tell me.

This is a cute and convenient place to eat lunch while shopping at bloomingdales.  The carrot juice was really good!.  I also had the no-mayo tuna salad sandwich on whole grain which was really great as I don't eat mayo.  I also don't eat dairy but the frozen yogurt looks great!

Totally, absolutely, a bowl of cold, dreamy delight. Better than ice cream.  There's almost a cult feeling to how people eat theirs....toppings in little containers... take a bite, sprinkle, add a nut, swallow. Too delish for words.

Come here for the frozen yogurt alone!  My favorite flavors are the good ol' original plain or the fantastic strawberry.  Tasty soups, sandwiches and salads as well...
