I came to Fornino at about 5:30pm, right before the dinner rush. I love the exposed brick and funky glass sculptures in the back of the restaurant.

I highly recommend the appetizer sampler; it's a great, tasty deal for $15, and a great opportunity to try a lot of different things. The basic margarita is great. We also got a pizza with ricotta and arugula, which was very tasty - almost overdosed on arugula!

As a friend recommended to me, the simpler Fornino pizzas are particularly good. The pizzas with more stuff on them tend to be heavier. Two small sized pizzas were just enough for four of us. We were left pleasantly stuffed.

In case you weren't already aware, there are an overwhelming number of places in New York to get pizza.

Somehow we managed to pick Fornino out from the crowd, and we journeyed to Brooklyn to give it a try.  The space is cozy and cute -- it has a molded ceiling and an exposed brick wall, you know the type.  (It did have some baffling toys climbing in the brick wall, which was unexpected.)  I had been whining that I needed my boyfriend to take me out on a date, and it definitely had the right atmosphere.

We had the Margherita Classica and the Funghi Misti.  (And the house red, but this review is about pizza!)  The pizza crust was great: it wasn't too thick, it wasn't too thin, and it was just chewy enough.  Each pizza was tasty in its own way: the margherita was a total classic and the funghi pizza was an instant winner because it had mixed mushrooms.

Our caveat: we weren't too taken with the tomato sauce that was on the margherita, and I would have appreciated some sauce on the funghi ... but those are just personal preferences.

Fornino is my favorite place to get this "type" of pizza.  You know, the small pies with creative toppings.  Do yourself a favor and get the Bianca.  It's the one with mozzarella, arugula, red onions, and maybe something else I'm forgetting.  But trust me and get it.  Even my brother, a former slice joint purist, loves this pizza.  I don't know how they do it, but I'm convinced that even someone who hates arugula would love this pizza.

Oh, and btw, Fornino is far better than Motorino.  It must be said.

As anyone that knows me can attest, I love pizza. A LOT.  I have also heard quite a lot of buzz about Fornino for a long while now.  Good buzz. Normally, I am not too swayed by that sort of thing, but when one of my Italian (as in, from Italy) friends tells me they make delicious AND authentic pizza, I have to believe it.  And the pizza here is scrumptious!   It's definitely Naples-inspired, and definitely delicious.  Anyone who loves good pizza, and cares enough to seek it out from the ubiquitous "just-ok" pizza joints in the city should go to Fornino.  Hooray for the outside seating too!!! I likey! A LOT!

I found a small hair in my margherita doc pizza. and the $9 portobello appetizer was comprised of a single small portobello slice. i honestly thought my boyfriend ate the other part on the way home... but no--i called to check, because it was laughable. and indeed, they confirmed that it's just that small...also, the caesar salad was anemic.

on the plus side, the pizza was absolutely delicious once i have removed the offending hair and the piece of cheese in which it had made its home. and the portobello was yummy as well--all carmelized and balsamicized.

i was bummed that it wasn't more consistently delish and well-priced, as i'd love to go back. ho hum.

I was visiting some friends in Brooklyn and we decided to grab brunch in Williamsburg.  They suggested Fornino, and the sign outside sealed the deal with its promise of free Mimosas.  We headed in and selected two of their brunch specialty pizzas.  One had pancetta and peppers and the other had roasted peppers and onions, and both had eggs baked into the crust.  Thin, crunchy crust baked to perfection in a wood-brick oven.  The three of us ate 2 pizzas and were pleasantly sated. Delicious!

This is by far the best pizza I have eaten in NY. They are very creative with the toppings and it really is delicious.
I've been there 4 times and one of the times the crust was burnt! and I do mean BURNT!

Maybe it's just bad luck though since the other three times the pizza was perfect so I don't want to be too quick to judge.

If not for that one incident I would have definitely given this place 5 stars.

I preface this review by saying that I'm griping mostly about the delivery service and not the food.  The food is great and the service at the restaurant is decent.  But Fornino has finally pissed me off.

Here's the deal:  we've been ordering from these guys for 3 years.  They are CONSISTENTLY the worst option for delivery in the neighborhood.  The food is great, but what you have to put up with to get it is ridiculous.

Gripe #1:  Delivery guys always call from downstairs, they don't ring the buzzer.  And then you have to argue with them to ring the bell so you can buzz them up.  Why? Because they're freaking lazy and they don't want to come up.  I live in an elevator building, asshole!  Come up to my freakin' apartment.

Gripe #2:  This is what happened tonight, and this is the straw that finally broke the camel's back.  We ordered our food at 8:25 PM on http://delivery.com: a salad and a large pie.  The salad showed up, not the pizza.  From a PIZZA PLACE.  I called and complained.  All the food showed up about 15 minutes later (I live 3 blocks away).  The person I spoke with on the phone promised that she needed to speak with the manager who wasn't there and call me back with compensation.  Guess what?  She called me to say that "next time you call, you should mention this and we'll do something for you."  Yeah, sweetheart, that is SO going to happen.  Oh, and 15 minutes later, the delivery guy showed up again with a salad (you know the one that was originally delivered, the one we received first?)

Three years ago I would have ordered again simply because Fornino was the only decent pizza place in the neighborhood.  That is no longer the case. Baci e Abbracci has excellent pizza, Motorino is a quick subway ride away and Vertuccio's just opened on the park and they all deliver around here.  So you know what? Screw you.  I'm done with your bullshit.

Any other time I would have walked by this place since I'm broke and this place would seem overpriced on the surface for an unemployed recent college graduate such as myself...but they were having a 5th anniversary week long special where you could get their margherita pie for $5. A whole pie (well, the smaller of the two size options, but still) for only 5 bucks? I'm there.

The pizza was pretty solid but I felt that there was just sliiiiiiightly too much sauce on it for my taste, and I could have used a little more basil, but that might just be my personal taste.

I felt that I saved enough money on the pizza that I treated myself to a glass of their house red sangria - it was GREAT. nothing wrong with eating a whole pizza and a glass of sangria for breakfast after sleeping until 2pm...right? It was just strong enough, and the chunks of apple and orange floating in it were not only pretty, but there's nothing like chomping into wine-soaked fruit.

mmmm.

would return, maybe after I get a job. Love that anniversary promo, and hope they do more things like that in the future.

What's with the truffle oil on everything?

Kind of kidding, though they really do put a lot of truffle oil on their pizzas. I guess that makes them "artisan". Fornino is pretty good, truth be told. A little bit on the pricey side, but I guess you're paying just as much for the atmosphere as the food.

I went here for a sampling last year, and had most of their pizzas. I think there's a little something here for everyone. Whatever you like, you're going to find it, even if you find it on a somewhat undersized pizza.

I am very particular about pizza. Traveling the world tasting pizza and learning the local concept of it is a hobby.
Arriving in new York, I tried many New York pizzas to see what is the American hype on its pizza. From local neighnorhood joints to the famous Grimaldi, wich is not bad, I was still a bit unimpressed. The best pizza I had tasted was still in South America, in So Paulo, Brazil,  at Pizzaria do Braz. It is hands down considered the best pizza on the planet . That is up to tasting Fornino's pizza. I tried the fungi, infused with truffle olive oil. Right texture, flavorful bite after bite - it absolutely can  compete with Braz pizza. Each slice is a taste of  HEAVEN!
THE BEST in New York and I am serious about pizza!
THIS IS IT in New York. TRY it!

This is def the best pizza I've had in nyc. I had the classic margherita and it was so flavorful. Better than lombardi's actually.  I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the other pizza my friend and I  had along with it. It was some eggplant vegetable mix but there was this nasty bitter broccoli on there that was just SO gross. Once we picked it off it was good but for that I give it 4 stars.

First word that comes to mind: Authentic. Second: Rome. This is not your typical NYC pizza. It's very similar to Grimaldi's in Dumbo. Super thin crust, minimal toppings as not to overwhelm the taste buds, and creative combinations of toppings that will leave you wanting more.

The service is great. The don't do slices. It's a bit pricey and don't be surprised if you order a large (for two people) and are still hungry.

This pizza is amazing. Seriously. The salads are great too.

BF loves the Lombardi - a light layer or mozzarella, fresh crunchy arugula, a healthy amount of prosciutto and shaved pecorino to finish it off, all on top of a crunchy but still ever-so-slightly-floppy crust, with just a hint of a burn. YUM. Other pizzas I've had there are good too, but the Lombardi has become the bellwether of pizza for us.

The salads though, really they are worth having. The pear and gorgonzola is a good bet, and the chopped salad is a perfect example of a chopped salad. Whatever their special salad is has always been a winner for me too.

You should go, right now, especially if you're in Williamsburg. There's no excuse for eating crappy, greasy, floppy, sitting-out-all-day pizza when there's Fornino.

Was walking around the 'hood looking to try a new place out, and was soooo overjoyed that Fornino has the most delicious pizza I've had in a while. I recommend the Spinach third generation pizza, complete with mozzarella, pecorino and ricotta cheese. The truffle oil doesn't hurt either. When something is so good, and the ambiance is great, what could possibly be wrong?
Good for small groups and take out. I would bring anyone who likes thins crust back here.

This is the pizza i have been waiting for....

i have tried so many different places in NYC for pizza... this is my fav...
the fungi misti (i think) pizza (mixed mushrooms with truffle oil), is to die for. we added chicken sausage. wow. amazing. the flavors were just to die for. it's homemade... so having the crust a little burnt is part of it.

my friend and i got the white sangria... the fruit inside was like a bonus.. soo yummy.
The salad was excellent... simple and good.

the mint gelato was so refreshing and nice.. you have to get it. if you still have room...

the staff and owner (i think it was him), were so nice and welcoming... makes me want to go back all the time.

if i lived in new york, this would be my regular place.

Got a takeout Margarita personal pie, and went back to my girlfriend's apartment b/c I'm pretty broke and I wasn't expecting this place to be as good as it was.  The staff was very nice, and the place look pretty good inside.  The pie was a little small, but all the right tastes were there.  Creamy mozzarella, robust, flavorful sauce...my only complaints were that it wasn't filling and the basil could've been more equally distributed.  But all in all this was a great Neapolitan pie

After seeing countless people lugging Fornino boxes all over Williamsburg (more and more as the weather gets nicer and nicer), I was happy to finally try it out for myself a few weeks ago.

I was with a big group, and though it was a Sunday night, we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table.  This was ok-- we were seated outside in the garden, and it was a nice evening. We split four large pizzas between eight people, and we just about finished them.  With stomachs busting.  6/8 people were vegetarian, and the veggie-friendly options were plentiful...particularly the delish Fungi Misti, covered in mushrooms. Delectable.  Lord knows I've forgotten all the names, but we had another fabulous one with goat cheese...sausage....mm.  My mouth is watering. The crusts were well-done, puffy, and crispy-- a hard combo to achieve, and just the way I like them.

Fornino reminds me a lot of the wonderful Upper Crust that I left behind in Boston, though it's slightly pricier. It's fun with a group, but I can't really see coming here with just one other person. It'd be nice to order out..and bring to the park. Though then I wouldn't be able to wash it down with mass quantities of sangria like I did in the restaurant...

I think Fornino might be the last of the "big pizza" places that I hadn't actually visited until recently. Be it known that I don't consider myself a pizza connoisseur, but I do somehow end up at these places and usually enjoy myself. Fornino is certainly no exception that rule.

We stopped in quickly, so we didn't order much - Actually, just one large pie, which was a classic with sopressata picante (I dare say, consider it gourmet pepperoni) on it. I don't know what it was, but this really was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The toppings in my opinion were good. The sopressata was offset by salty grated parmesan cheese and a lot of tomato sauce which blended nicely together. I really think it was the crust that got me going though - It was puffy and light, but full of flavor. Some pizzerias have harder or more buttery crust, but this was the kind that really tastes classic, and it was exceptionally executed.

The atmosphere at Fornino is a bit less trendy than at other gourmet-type pizza places nearby. Exposed brick and warm colors create a more classic feel, but it's cozy and the staff (in all their hipster glory) is really friendly and accommodating. Fornino offers a thoughtfully arranged menu of pizzas ranging from classic to more unique styles of toppings, a nice wine menu and overall, I can see why it's so well-liked. They also offer take-out and delivery, so if you're on Bedford Avenue on the North Side and need a reliable place to grab a pizza, this is it.

Fornino is pretty good. I eat there when it's convenient because it's a couple blocks from my office. But the pizza is not amazing, and is certainly not moan-inducing. It's good and dependable, but I don't crave it. It's no Kesté or Co. or Motorino. The service is good and it's a cute atmosphere, I definitely appreciate the garden in back. I've had their Margherita pie and the Bianca pie, which are both tasty, but once again Fornino just doesn't wow me.

After a long and trying day at work, headed for Williamsburg - unexpectedly.  I've been wanting to check out Fornino for some time.

I was happy. . . Shared the basic Margerita without the parmesean with a friend.  Added the carmelized onion.  OMG!!  I was in thin crust pizza heaven.  The crisp, delicious crust brick oven flavor was bursting.  And, the tomato sauce was perfect - not overly done.  The friendly waitress informed us that the mozarella was homemade.  It was defintely fresh.  I would have rated Fornino 4 stars, but some of the crust was slightly charred.  We ordered a small, but I'd go back for the large and experiment with other choices - there is a WIDE variety.  Delicious!  BTW, the atmosphere is subdued and casual and outdoor garden.

We just happened to order a pizza that wasn't as good as the others probably were. We ordered the Four Stagiono- tomato, mozzarella, shitake mushroom, olives, bellisse proscuitto, eggplant..... sounds good, eh? def v fresh ingredients!

Sauce: very good base
Crust: very good- not too soft, not too thick and def has some character that those thin thin thin crusts just can't have
Olives: waay too overpowering. I know they kept the olives whole to try to keep a rustic look.... but biting into an entire olive was just too much flavor for one bite! perhaps if they tore them up or crumbled them!
Proscuitto: too thick! the thickness makes it hard to bite a bite! i had to use my knife and fork!

otherwise- GREAT PIZZA. i should've ordered a different one though. The bases to the pizza are SO GOOD!

the prices were kinda expensive......... so im not too sure if im so eager to go back

ambiance was great. good candle lighting, good decor but LOUD LOUD LOUD music.
However... i suspect that is just the theme of the entire neighborhood....

wait staff was nice. took a LONG time between us finishing the meal and waiting around for the bill. We waited so long we just plain ole asked for the bill.
however, one waitress was so strikingly beautifully hot-- model hot. I didn't mind sticking around

I LOVE Fornino! Their pizza is amazing. I'm a pizza snob - I grew up on Long Island, and we know a few things - malls, pizza, bagels. I'm not big on the malls, but the latter two, I consider myself to be a connoisseur.  Fornino's pizzas are amazing: the flavour is so intense, you might start to cry. Or at least close your eyes and think, "I never knew food -- I never knew pizza -- could be so amazing."

I've been there probably ten or fifteen times, and I keep going back. Everyone that I've taken there has adored it. There are SO many different kinds of pizza, and they are very good if you want to substitute or alter something. I'm a vegetarian, and I can easily find a bunch of things here -- plus I can always ask for a pizza without something. The herbs are grown in a greenhouse, the service is pretty good, you never have to wait too long, and it's a nice atmosphere.

I love Fornino. I am going tonight. My boyfriend went two days ago but he is coming with me anyway. YUM!

Fornino's makes just the kind of pizza I love!  Very thin crust, with a bit of chewiness, and super fresh toppings.  We had the margherita classica and the bianca (a white pizza with arugula, ricotta and red onion) in their back garden, with a couple of glasses of white sangria.  Why don't more people put arugula on pizza?  It's the best.  We were very sad when Cronkite's closed on Norfolk Street in the LES, but this place has the same owners and was worth the trip to the foreign land of Williamsburg.

I think this is my go-to place when I'm on my way to the Music Hall of Williamsburg (formerly known as North Six: RIP). Maybe it's because it's right off the Bedford Ave. stop on the L or maybe because it's just happiness and joy in my mouth.

Crispy crusts, with a good amount of char and flavor. Tangy tomato sauce and mozz/parm awesomeness on the Margherita pie. Since I was there with three others (including a vegetarian) we decided on a second pie and with assistance from our very helpful waitress, we settled on the Funghi Mista. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say "settled" as it was delicious! However, I wouldn't say the white truffle oil was "drizzled" on as there were generous pools of it on each slice. (Burping that during the concert was odd.)

Each time I've come here, I've been pleased so I just can't recommend it enough. The only reason I don't give it five stars is probably because of the amount of oil (just not my thing) and that it's on the small side so it gets busy fast. They do have a backroom but I've only been offered a seat back there in the summer.

I lived next door to Fornino in 2006 and part of 2007.  I went there. It tasted good.  And in early 2007 I got a pizza to go, brought it upstairs, had a slice, and it tasted good.  Then I picked up another slice and saw something in the box.

It was a dead cockroach.

I will be specific.  The bug had not been baked into the pizza.  It seemed as if it had simply wandered into the box and died long before my pizza had ever been placed in the box.  There is no chance that this dead cockroach entered the box at any other point besides in the restaurant.  I took it back, showed them the cockroach, and they offered me another pizza.  I balked at their offer, demanded my money, and have been telling people for two years never ever ever to go to this place.

To be fair:
It is New York and even worse Brooklyn.  There are bugs everywhere.  If I had eaten the cockroach I never would have known and would have been fine.  Everyone always tells me how great Fornino is.  It has been 2 years since this happened.

That said, though... the way they responded to what had happened was completely inappropriate.  I won't forget that.  Nor will I forget what it's like to look into a box of pizza and see a dead cockroach sitting where the food that is in your mouth had just been.

This pizza is too good for hipster dick tards, and that's why they're slamming it in the other reviews. The truth is: Hipsters would rather eat at the shitty pizza place down the block and claim it's better, but they don't appreciate what Fornino is all about.

The pizza is good. How good? Really good. It's the best pizza in Williamsburg, which, let's be honest... Isn't that hard considering places like La Nonna (which i now call, La No-No) where Hipsters dressed like peasants eat slices of shit with cheese, and love it.

I had the Margherita, and the Margherita Extra, and preferred the extra. I really was amazed how much this pizza quenched my desires for an Artichoke slice, or even Di Faras.

I also had a Pear and Arugula salad which despite the comments from the peanut gallery, ended up being a favourite among all.

The pizza was good, really good even, but not enough to make me wanna tell my mom about it. And the service was less than friendly, if anything, it was okay, but to get 5 stars, you've got to be the best at everything.

Now, I'm looking at a few reviews here to my right, and I want to say a little about that: Shut it. You're a hater, and you're an incorrect hater at that. So shut... IT. This place is a solid 4 stars on good pizza alone.

I love this place.  Absolutely love it.  There were times I'd come here every weekend, and then I'd have to stop because I'd notice my jeans getting tighter..  My favorite is the bianca..  It's just so amazing...

But one evening, I went there with my boyfriend and as I'm eating my pizza, I see a little bug crawling around by my coke.  Thinking it was a fly, no big deal, I blow it away.  It tumbles across the table.. didn't fly away.. no wings.. not a fly..  I then realize it was a roach.............................

It was gone by the time I was able to kill it or point it out to anyone (my boyfriend didn't even see it because the huge platter they put on the table makes it difficult to see the person across from you).  I ate the rest of my meal very freaked out--thoroughly examining my pizza for any questionable ingredients.  I kept glancing at the wall to my left, praying I don't see the bug again.  Once we got the check, I left so fast.

I should have complained but I had no real proof.. =/   I now refuse to go there.  I'm just too freaked out.  I can't have an enjoyable meal knowing there are bugs crawling around.  I mean, it is Brooklyn, and I'm sure I've eaten at other bug infested places, but when you see it crawling on your table.................

Now I need to find another pizza place that has pizza as phenomenal as theirs.

I didn't even eat the pizza.

Their delivery restrictions are retarded.

I could walk there in 10 minutes.

FORNINO IS AMAZING.

I'm all about this artisan pizza trend (and so is Frank Bruni as of today, apparently) and have tried a ton of the poppin' places, and I gotta hand it to Fornino as my favorite (well..after Totonno's but I'm not sure if that fits into the 'artisan' genre...it's more traditional).  The crust is crisp--not soggy, sauce is super fresh and tangy, parmesan is sharp, muzz is creamy and stretchy and mmmmm...It's really one of the perfect pizzas in New York.

The salad with white balsamic dressing is amazing and the outside garden is pleasant.  The staff is totally bitchy (like...I've been going here since 2006 and though the staff has changed, the attitude has not) but it's Williamsburg, what do you expect?

Writing this makes me want to go there right now.

I must say Im preety picky and this would be a 3 star in AZ but considering the rest of the food I ate out in NY this was a relief.

It is wood fired pizza, pretty decent.  I got the margarita without parmagian or olive oil.  Which seems gross to have either one.

Anyway it wasnt bad but not wonderful. It was pretty good.

I did however have an experience that was weird.

The guy who was getting my pizza I ordered to go, was washing the tables with a dirty dish rag, and then the floor. After that he walked right over to my pizza and grabbed a handful of basil and dropped it on my pizza WTF!!! He didnt even wash his hands.
I immediatly started picking off the basil and told him next time wash his hands or use a utensil.
So later I looked up there health code inspections and saw thAT THEY HAD FAILED HORRIBLY IN 2007, didnt see the one for 08 couldnt find it

If your staying in the area definatly eat there you wont be dissatisfied.

Oh but the topping are 3 bucks a piece

Operator: 911?

Caller: Hello, I think I have an emergency here.

Operator: What seems to be the problem, sir?

Caller: It's Sam P. - he seems to be having some kind of episode.

Operator: Can you describe the situation?

Caller: Well, I came in to find him passed out on the floor clutching his stomach with a clearly engorged belly groaning and saying something about mushroom and truffle oil white pizza.  He also has some crispy thin slightly-burnt-but-in-a-good-way crust hanging out of the corner of his mouth.  It's not pretty, but it sure smells great in here.

Operator: Any signs of a struggle?

Caller: Well, there are about 5 or 6 pizza boxes scattered around from a place called Fornino in Williamsburg.  I'm not sure how he got it all here, he doesn't even live in Brooklyn!

Operator: Sounds like a clear case of pizza overdose. This must have been some seriously good pizza. Stay where you are, sir.  Help is on the way.

Bowling and beer and pizza - the world's best combination.

For the Yelp Elite Event at Gutter, we was fortunate enough to have pizza from Fornino's. There was alot of pizza. Alot. How much is alot? Well, don't let anyone know this, but I ate about four slices, shhh.... Hey, I was starving and the slices weren't exactly large like Koronet or even Artichoke.  But four slices will do ya.

One of the slices I had was the mushroom, which had a very thick garlic taste to it. Oh man, did it have a thick garlic taste to it. I also had the margherita, and that was pretty good too.  The thing I loved about the slices was that, being the pizza expert I am, they tasted like they came out of a brick oven.  Having never been at the shop itself, I don't know if it was from a brick oven, but it had that distinct, coal-burnt flavor. I totally loved it.

So next time I find myself in Hipster Heaven, I'll have to stop by Fornino's.

I have ordered pizza twice from here, Both times I am just gonna say ok. I have had some amazing pizza in my day. Both times the crust was burnt. I had an Arugula salad it was good, and I had the gorgonzola pizza with carmalized onions and rosemary. Pretty good but I dont think I am going back. Just not super impressed.

This place kept me in the neighborhood, period.

I was sick of how lamely follower-chic my once outsiderdomed neighborhood had become, and thought if I was going to get no stimulation from my surroundings, I might as well go to California where atleast the weather would be nice.

BUT THEN CAME FORNINO. So there but for the grace of God....

Eating this pizza can only be compared to eating a really good chocolate cake. The way it melts in your mouth. The way it fills you with wonder. The way you think "Can it get any better?" ... the way you tilt your head til it hits lightly upon the wall, soaking up your inner-gasms.

If you're not in Manhattan to get you some Lombardi's or John's BRICK OVEN WONDERLUST, then you need you some Fornino's. Patsy's, good luck! No one in Brooklyn can match these maestros!!!!!! Their DELIVERED pies are even BETTER, as the additional time staying hot in the box compresses the cheese and crust into one naughty congealed love potion of pizza.

(oh, and check out the hand-crafted pizza shaped light fixtures created by the owner artiste!!! Niiice!)

I'm very surprised about all the favorable reviews here. I found Fornino to be a bit disappointing.

Where it's positioned right by the train stop, at the busiest intersection in Bedford, and offering the abstract concept of "Blending Art and Pizza" all sound very promising but I didn't really see any blending of art and pizza in decor or food design--it's brick oven pizza with classic Italian ingredients. With that quotation over the door I was expecting a play on brick oven pizza which as a baking method has become somewhat trendy recently, but it alone isn't a new discovery. Be careful when you suggest something enticing and then don't make that delivery clear.

Of the two pizzas we ordered one was successful and one was not. The good one contained roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and goat cheese it was rich and delicious. The other pizza contained overly salty prosciutto and a very dry form of weedy green (looking like broccoli, tasting like grass). I could see the combination in theory of a salty meat and a bitter green but both were too extreme and the combination didn't actually bode together that well.

Additionally, service to me is usually a non-factor unless it's astounding or lacking, but I found the staff very removed and inattentive as I repeatedly had to ask for water. If you're going to serve me like a toddler with a sippy-cup sized glass than be attentive and filler up mom.

I also take some offense to ordering a pizza and receiving a lot of dry and useless outter crust. For pies that are already small to begin with it cuts down on the already small topping area.

Overall, the place was okay. I've eaten brick oven pizza I've liked more which makes less hullabaloo about itself.
