They have a complete menu for dogs! And a separate pet-friendly area for humans and their pooch..

Food is pretty basic, almost chain-ish feel to it. Pricey for what you get. The mashed potato with green onions and bacon is good for sure!! Had some scallops with angel hair and it was ok.

The server brings a nice water dish for Mabel, the pug..never did bring us bread though. A small house salad is 8.50 which is a lot for a place of raw basic veggies.

After my parents spent the better part of a week on the Central Coast, we planned for their friends to drive them halfway up to hand them off to me, eat some lunch, and then we would drive back to the Bay Area so that they could fly home. We picked Forge in the Forest for our meeting place and spot to grab lunch.

I had a BBQ pork sandwich with garlic fries. For the most part, i found the food underwhelming and over priced.

One of the things they are known for is a dessert that is a huge cookie cooked in a skillet, then topped with ice cream, whipped cream, hot fudge, and a host of other toppings. We had talked about it in passing while our waitress was standing near by. At the end of our meal we asked for the check and she informed us that even though we didn't order one, our cookie was about ready.

I guess it wouldn't be a huge deal if this cookie dessert was $5 or less, but the damn thing costs $16. For a waitress to decide that your having the cookie without asking was really unprofessional. Luckily, i wasn't paying, or i would have freaked out about it. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty, just not $16 tasty.

The other major selling point of the restaurant is that it is dog friendly. We ended up sitting out on the dog patio.

I like dogs a lot. I don't currently own one (apartment won't let us have one), but i'd like to get one. I've even been known to play with dogs at parks. But to sit out on the patio and watch all of these people treat their dogs as if they were their children, and to have a menu with 'gourmet' food for the dogs to eat, was just a little bit too much for me.

Carmel isn't really my kind of place, but if for some reason i'm  there around meal time and i'm looking for a place to eat, you probably won't find me at Forge in the Forest.

This place is ok, but honestly it's kind of like on the level of TGI Fridays or some other chain-type place- except that you're paying about two or three times as much as you would there. Drinks weren't that great and it just had a slightly cheesey feel to it. I went slightly simply and had steamed veggies, which thankfully were fresh and actually really good.
Kudos for the two outdoor patios, one of which is pet-friendly. They are super pet friendly here, actually (like most of Carmel)- brought out treats and a water bowl for our dog, plus I think they had a few (overpriced) doggie items on menu as well.
Overall overpriced but not bad.

We went here on our doggie Carmel weekend.  It was one of the more reasonably priced places in town and had heaters.  They have a back patio specifically for dog owners with a nice fireplace.  You can also order off the dog specific menu.  Overall the place was good but I'm sure if you're looking for great food there are better places in town.

I've definitely had better food, but their pizza was good enough. We really went there because they are a pet friendly restaurant, and we had Delilah the Pug with us.

We were seated on a side patio with other pooches and their owners. The patio is very nice and has a gas fire pit. The waiter brings you menu, a doggie menu and a bowl of water as well. You can go complex by ordering chicken or beef and rice - or as simple as kibble or milk bones. The human menu was good as well, I had a pizza and it was decent.

All in all, a great place to eat with your favorite four legged friend while visiting pet friendly Carmel by the Sea.

The ambiance is a little half assed. They do indeed have a beautiful patio with lots of flowers, heat lamps...it's terribly romantic except for these interrogation lights they put above some of the tables. I felt like my sweetie should have been asking me where the microfilm was...
Service is great, each time I've been. They're not CRAZY professional, but very clean, friendly and knowledgeable.
Menu is  pretty big, and there are options for those of us not willing to spend more than 15 dollars on an entree. It's a nice balance between food and price. And the food IS very good.
Get the calamari steak. The sauce is some of the best stuff I've ever put in my mouth.
I will continue to go back here. The great food and big menu makes up for the half-assed ambience.

Holy Eggs Benedict.  I am on my knees praising the egg gods.  This is, hand down, the best eggs benedict dish I have had.  The hollandaise sauce is light and gives off a hint of lemon, and is served over three huge eggs and ham.  I am sure that there are other dishes here that are equally as good, but why rock the boat when I have found such a winner.  The atmosphere here is awesome.  I have always sat outside, even on a cold foggy day, and they have a huge outside fire place that keeps the entire patio area warm.  And, if you love dogs, and have one or two of your own, feel free to bring them.  They have an area where you can sit with your dog and order anything off a special doggie menu.

this place is prech.... so cute... i felt like i was eating in a very special secret grotto in the woods.... we found out about this restaurant from a man at the cheese shop (see review)... we knew to save room for desert which was the most amazing chocolate chip cookie served in a cast iron skillet  fresh from the oven with vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge, whipped cream and a strawberry.... omg!
For dinner I had the grilled artichoke... so perfect...
- one star for the pretty steep prices...

After a long beachy day at the local Carmel City Beach, we needed a place that would seat seven people and three dogs.  Forge in the Forest was a great choice for our little group of canines and city people.  We sat outdoors near the fireplace, and the wait staff was nice enough to turn up the flames when we requested it.

Foodwise, it's not the most spectacular.  The ribs were a little chewy, and the steak was only okay.  (You can tell we did dinner family style, can't you?).  I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which I liked ... but then again, it takes talent for a restaurant to screw up spaghetti and meatballs.  Everybody else seemed to like the food, but I still say don't go in there with high hopes for a foodie fun experience.  Also, the waiter had a little difficulty with the bill (he almost ended up over charing us 100+) ... instead of admitting a mistake, he said he'd go "check on it" again.  It's ok to admit your mistakes, kind sir.

Anyway, positives were that the dogs felt right at home, and there is even a dog menu!  The dessert was a cookie that came in a pan with ice cream, whipped cream, and strawberries on it.  If you're a dessert fanatic, I highly recommend you add that to your order.

So go if you have doggies and love dessert!

Carmel is truly a pet friendly town.  Checked out Forge in the Forest for dinner on a Sunday night.  No reservations needed.

Hubby had Cobb salad w Ranch dressing.  We forgot to ask for the dressing on the side :-(    so it was heavy

I had the Portabello Sandwich w Garlic Fries.  It was pretty good.

My little guy had a bowl of clam chowder and Kids Chicken Strips w Fries.

And our Aussie had herself a Quarter Hounder - - hamburger patty!  Wolfed it down in 5 seconds.. I almost didn't have a chance to snap a photo.

We love the ambiance; and thought the food was good.
I think we will be back because of the ambiance and how pet friendly they are.  As for the food... it's OK.

This is by far my favorite place to dine in the Monterey area ! The location in Carmel is perfect, food is delish, and they even have a dog area with Fido's own menu ! The Chinese Chicken Salad is slap your momma good ! Love love love it ! We always ask to be seated in Janet's area. She is an awesome hostess. Whatever you do.. order the Reuben Eggrolls for an appetizer. They are amazing ! And sit outside.. it's so much more Carmel !

One of Lucy's friends on the trail (Rocky's mom) asked us where they should dine in Carmel that allows dogs.  I had to go on Yelp to find Forge in the Forest and how is it possible I hadn't reviewed them yet?!?!

If you have a friendly dog, pack him/her up and head down to Carmel for lunch.  This place is great!

The menu is pretty comprehensive... lots of choices.  I have been here a few times and usually get a salad or a tasty sandwich with fries.  They also offer items like quesadillas, pizza, etc.  Good quality, fresh food and tasty ingredients.  Good drink menu too.  I'm not positive, but I believe they have a full bar.

The BEST thing about Forge in the Forest is that they offer a menu for the pups!  Only in Carmel, right?!?  Love that Lucy got to order lunch too - choices ranged from dog kibble, chicken breast, HOT DOG to a New York Steak entree that cost more than most of the items on the people's menu!

There are many fabulous dining choices in Carmel, but Forge in the Forest is our Go-To spot.

Came here for our sweet Mother who wanted something special for dinner. We wanted to eat outside since the ambiance was beautiful, but when we got to our table, the outdoor heater unit was broken. And Carmel-by-the-Sea isn't known for warm weather.

The ambiance indoor wasn't too impressive as it is out in the patio. The menu was inviting, especially the special low carb menu.

First off, we ordered the fondue. When I think of fondue I think of a pot over a candle with cut bread cubes and picks for dip. Ok, what we got was a bread bowl with melted cheese in the middle. Uh, when cheese gets cold, what happens? Well, my friend we ended up eating a thick layer of cheesy bread that was so solid that a steak knife was not cutting it. Not a great idea. Pass.

I ordered the low card stir fry broccoli, because I wanted to be some what healthy. Once I received my meal, it didn't seem low carb since it was a big bowl of rice noodles with not much vegetables. It needs more vegetables and it was greesy! So much for being a little healthy. OK, for the record, I'm not one of those freaks who avoids carbs. Are you kidding me, I love carbs!  Your brain/body needs it. I don't care what the Atkin's diet says. BTW, tell me where is the creator now? Didn't he have a heart attack or something? RIP Atkin.

Anyway back to the review, Forge in the Forest was just OK. Reading the other reviews, I guess it's dog friendly. That's really cute, but I didn't see one dog there though.  :(  Overall, I wouldn't drive to Carmel to eat here again. It's over priced, even though the location is great, the quality is not. A 2.5 rating.

went here and took my pup to get something off the doggie menu. The waitress we had when we were taken to the dog area was certainly not as friendly as the staff that greeted us upstairs. I was kind of disappointed because I do usually visit this place when I go to carmel. The food was okay and the prices are kind of expensive...Im not even sure that the 25% off for happy hour is worth it...but its a nice spot to stop and have a drink at and get your pooch a meal. I will certainly make sure to choose another place for my main dining experience next time I visit.

We ate there and it was ok. I had some mediterranean chicken dish that was quite greasy. The only thing good was their creme brulee. It was fabulous! I would go there only for dessert. Not their dinner menu.
The other thing I didnt appreciate was the evil eye I was getting from one of the patrons for having my 6 month old (at the time) grand daughter there. She was in her stroller and slept the entire time. No crying, no whining, no dirty diaper. I can't imagine what his problem was.

Fabulous! I couldn't stop saying that while I was eating. I had the sea scallops in risotto... fabulous... husband had the peppercorn fillet with mashed potatoes and green beans.. he let me try it.. fabulous! We had a calamari appetizer which was tender and delicious.. and forge appletinis... which had a lemon, sugar, cinnamon rim.
I wanted to go back the next night. Loved the outside atmosphere.. and the forge was fabulous too!

I LOVE their baked onion soup.  We have gone to Carmel frequently, and we always make sure to stop and get the soup.  It is not unusual for us to get it multiple times while we are in town.  My husband is not even a soup person and he loves it.  The staff is amazing.  Yesterday, we went by before leaving town and we did not know their opening time.  We got there early, they let us in the inside dining room to stay warm and have beverages while waiting for them to finish opening!  Love it, will be back shortly.

The price tag at the end of the meal was reasonable, and left me remembering that you get what you pay for. We paid $51 for 3 people. On average, elsewhere, we had paid $35-40 and been disappointed. This was a real treat, I must say.

Like the 35 other reviews that mention their dogs, I too must admit that I was here with my dog and my mother-in-law's dog, both chihuahua mixes, but not those yappy things...these are calm, (one well-mannered, one timid) dogs. They sit you on the doggie patio, which starts to feel a small bit outcast, but the patio is still nice. I have to say, on the subject of dogs, there were two people there who did not know how to control their dogs behavior....one couple had a pair of what looked like poodle mixes....and whoever came in after them, they were on it like sh*t on velcro, defending their space with a lot of loud, yippy barking. I'd like to think the owners were embarassed, but in Carmel, I think we all know the truth....

AND THEN....this larger group, who came in after us, who were apparently regulars, because when they were finding a seat for us, they were reminded that "so and so is coming, and she's requested table xx," had this lovely, sweet, golden retriever. Granted, on the way to their table, the dog had to stop and talk and play with everyone, but I'm a dog person, so that was OK. Looking at how his owner jerked him around on his leash, he probably didn't get much play time or socialization. I gave his owner the evil eye a few times across the patio so that she knew I had the real scoop, and that I didn't approve of her yanking her dog around like that. BITCH.

Like I said, the food was some of the best we had on our vacation. And service was kind, courteous and prompt, always. I would certainly recommend your coming here again....but I would say the decor is a little nicer on the inside, if you come without your doggies.

Very good! I made reservations for a group of 6 of us while visiting Carmel. We had a fabulous time. The food was excellent. My husband had the calamari steaks which were by far the best calamari I have ever had. Several of us ordered the lobster ravioli which was amazing. Loved the ambiance. Minus 1 star for not so great service. I will be back though.

I've been here for two anniversaries and date day with my bf. And I have left here always content and full. Their selection of food is decent, although the prices are really a sporadic visit type of thing.

Their service is always good and that makes it even harder to be disappointed by them. The times we came here we got great seats on the patio and just the vibe we need when me and the SO come to Carmel.

We both are in love with their French Onion soup and well we became even bigger fans of their liter beer. Although the price is the only thing that gives this place a minus, me and my love always got a place by the sea and in our hearts when we go to Carmel. (Haha what a cheesy post)

Very friendly staff. My glass of water never was empty.

We ordered the reuben egg rolls. There was a Russian dressing (kinda like thousand island dressing) on the side. There was cabbage mixed with the dressing surrounding the egg rolls. It was yummy!

The Sprite had a funny taste to it.

We ordered today's special which was the pan fried scallops on top of some risotto. There was some artichoke hearts mixed in. This dish was so yummy!

While eating, a woman came in to pick up her order of garlic fries. Garlic fries?!?! I didn't even see that on their menu! I am so ordering that the next time we dine here. I can't wait to try their other dishes also.

They get two stars for loving dogs as much as they do and having a Dog Menu. The "dog pound" outdoor seating is a nice courtyard area - if you are lucky you get the fireplace seating (we were not that lucky).

Unfortunately, the food was nothing to get excited about. Big portions but pretty bland overall. The service was very good so I am bummed I have to write a not-so-stellar review for them. But frankly - the food at Applebee's is better. And that is very sad.

We came here after a doggie play date at the nearby beach.  We were there around peak time and there was a total of 4 people and 2 dogs, so we requested the outdoor dog seating area.  This was one of my first experiences at a dog friendly restaurant. Not just one that allowed dogs and gave them some water, but that had a doggie menu.  Our food was delicious and our dogs seemed to enjoy themselves with the fresh supply of water they were given.  We didn't order them anything but I would definitely like to come back and try this place again.  Our food was delicious... I had a pizza that was scrumptious and we all polished off a chocolate chip cookie dream together.  Mmmmm....

Forge is OK. I'm a local, and used to eating at the best eateries because we know whats good. Forge is beautiful, of course. But, the servers are too busy and the kitchen doesn't do well with presentation and the amount of food given. When you work at a super good locals restaurant yourself, you know whats acceptable and yummy. For tourists, I'm sure the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant makes up for the food.

This has been one of my favorite places for years! I absolutely LOVE it. The bar is absolutely beautiful and has a great "Carmel" feel to it. The outside area is great to bring a dog and sit under a gas lamp or by the cozy fire. warm days are great because they make a amazing mojito. Its the kind fof place you can have a 3 hour dinner, laughing and drinking with friends.
I've never been disapointed in the service and my favorite things to order are off the smoked grill.
The cookie dessert is to die for.
If your in carmel you gotta stop at the Forge, mmmm mmmmm!

This is where we had dinner on our weekend getaway with the pooches. Lisa was so excited to go because they have a menu for dogs, so we just had to try it. This restaurant was just a hop skip and a jump away from our B&B, so that was lovely. Our Innkeeper warned us to stay away from the Pizzas, and that they service is hit or miss. Sadly, we must have hit it on a miss night.

Lisa called earlier in the day to make reservations: two people, two dogs, under her name, for 7:30 PM. When we got there a tad early, the host obviously could not find us on the reservation list, although he looked through the same three pieces of pare for a good 2 minutes. Hallelujah it wasn't a busy night on the dog patio! He took us around to the back of the restaurant (we actually walked down the sidewalk to get there), to a large, fenced in patio, complete with a gate asking to make sure you close it behind you, definitely a thoughtful touch for the dog-owning clientele. There was only one other table in use at the time, so we were able to pick our own table. They have wonderful space heaters, and so even though it was a chilly night, we were totally warm (even my old man was comfortable).

So a bowl of water was brought out for the pooches, we got settled at our table, and a server walked by and asked if we had been helped yet. When we let her know that we had not, she let us know that she was not our server, but someone would be out soon to help us. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. We told someone that we hadn't been helped yet, and was assured that someone would be right out. Lisa's puppy was a little restless, so Lisa decided to run back to the B&B to get a bed for her. By the time she got back, we had STILL not been helped!

The original girl that had told us she was not our server, wound up being our server after all. Not sure what happened, but clearly some sort of communication wires were crossed, and were just waited a long time all night. The people were very friendly (even gave our dogs cookies), just not very efficient.

I got the Balsamic Grilled Artichoke and the Forge's Soup Sampler, which was the soup of the day (Cream of Broccoli) and their Signature Baked Onion Soup. Everything was really good, and I left stuffed. Lisa got the Bucket of Steamers, and look at the pictures for what she thought of them. I got a yummy Mojito (mango passion fruit) and Lisa got a Vanillatini or some such, and hers was awesome, too.

The food here was great. The atmosphere was awesome. The service was pretty horrible. If they got their service act together, I would definitely give them more stars.

Don't do it...just don't do it!
Maybe someone at the Forge will read this and address some of their issues.
My husband and I always take our pampered 4-legged friends to the Forge for lunch or dinner while staying in Carmel.  Our experience this time was just dreadful.  We will probably not go there again for a long time.  There are so many high quality eating establishments in Carmel that are dog friendly, we will not miss this one.
The service was very, very mediocre.
We were seated at a table on the dog patio.
Our waitress could not figure how to light the heater, so eventually a bus person lit the heater.
The waitress finally came to take our wine order.  I could tell by the delays, we had better order everything at once otherwise we might never receive our meal.
The bottle of wine we ordered took 4 attempts to get right and over 30 minutes.
We ordered very simple dinner, one bowl of baked onion soup and one Asian chicken salad.  Took almost 45 minutes.  (No the patio was not full, there were approximately 6 tables and a number of those had been served.)
Bus person came over to light our candle because it was getting dark, but didn't even bother to take the used dishes off the table.
We didn't dare try to order dessert.  We figured we would just get a little something out on Ocean ave.  Well that didn't work either since we got out of the Forge so late, the shops closed on Ocean ave.
The waitress never told us what the specials were.
She never brought us a doggy menu.
At the end when we wanted our bill, she brought a handful of chicken to try to give our dogs.  Please!!!
What a shame.  The food was always OK, it was the dog patio and service that would bring us back.  No more.
We want better service for our entertainment dollars!

The food here was good but overpriced. My mom ordered the ahi tuna salad and the filet came out overdone. Our waitress was horrible so we had to ask another to replace the dry filet. She did this with no problem and was very very nice about it. They present things nicely here but the mini size bread loaf was laughable. It was about the size of one normal piece of bread. It was however served nicely on a cutting board with a generous side of butter and a knife that wouldn't even cut the incredibly dry and crusty loaf. I personally had the veggie burger and i have to admit it was DELICIOUS. if it wasn't for this, i would give this place a lower rating. It was on a wonderful, soft kaiser roll and the patty was topped with roasted red pepper, sauteed mushroom, carmalized onion and covered with monterey jack. I substituted the fries with salad (for a dollar extra which in my opinion is ridiculous) so the meal felt fairly healthy. Loved the burger. 4 stars for the burger otherwise 2 stars for the service and 1 for the ahi salad.

We went there today on our trip to Carmel. We have a giant breed dog who joined us and friends for lunch. The staff was really nice about our dog - who was having his first adult meal out. Our waitress wasn't super friendly but she was attentive.

The food was good. The bloody mary was great. My friend's husband got the Sand dab sandwich - I'm a little sad I didn't get that but I did enjoy my Cobb salad.

I think everyone seated in our area had a dog. I think all of the dogs were better behaved than mine - but you have to start somewhere. Tuna, my Great Dane, enjoyed his burger - licked his plate.

It was a nice place to have lunch with friends with our dog in tow.

Wandering the dangerous streets of Carmel is a scary proposition at times.

On a visit from SoCal, I snuck into this little establishment while dodging the dicey folks on the street corners of this town.

It was a safe haven, a calm in the proverbial storm, a shelter in the night.

Though there was loud and slightly better ... VERY SLIGHTLY better ... better than average Folk/Rock cover dude belting out his Popo-era Sting, Neil Not-So-Young, and other standards ... the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

This was partially due to the fire and the heat lamps.

The food here is good.  I really liked it, and the servings are large.

The Cookie thing with Ice Cream all over it?

Spectacular.  I ate 'til I was ready to burst.

Though this worried me as being so sated likely would have deleterious effects on my ability to outrun the gangs of Carmel, I was happy.

Fat and Happy.

The question?

Where was the Forge?

Carmel character runs deep in this beautiful slice of this seaside town. Taking its name from the famous home of the same name, this establishment brings a strong menu with curious character at a price that will make you forget you are in Carmel.

Enjoy their standard pasta dishes with the above standard wine list. Casual but clean dress is recommended.

We come here after we run our dogs on the off leash beach. The dog friendly patio is very neat. The dog menu is okay but kind of expensive.

We love there fondue, it is melted cheese baked inside a sourdough round served with applesauce, mustard, and fruit. It is very good. The spaghetti and meatballs are good, and they also have a good burger.

But the best thing next to the fondue is the chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet, topped with ice cream.  So save room for desert and order this in advance, it takes a while to prepare and is best ordered with your meal, that way it comes out right after you finish your entree.

I am "barking" on behalf of our dog.
This place is fantastic. We came to this dog friendly town expecting a warm welcome for our furry friend and that's exactly what we got.
Forge in the forest is a great place to bring your pooch for a lovely afternoon lunch on the patio. Doc and I had sandwiches while starting with the calamari. And Ollie enjoyed his very own Quarter hounder.
The prices and food don't quite add up to a great deal, but the experience to have lunch with your dog at a restaurant makes it well worth the trip.

this is probably one of my favorite restaurant experiences ever. my boyfriend took me and his mother here before for an early dinner and it was so flossy. we chose to eat outside and went we entered the outdoor eating area i felt like i was walking into "the secret garden" it was breath taking. carmel gets quite chilly but the giant outdoor heaters help a ton.
forge in the forest is famous for allowing dogs if you dine outside and they even have a little menu for your k-9!

not wanting to be a total heffer in front of my bf moms, i got the asian chicken salad. little did i know, i made the best choice possible! this was, i joke you not, THE BEST ASIAN CHICKEN SALAD IVE HAD IN MY LIFE ETERNITY. NO..

THE BEST OVERALL SALAD IVE HAD IN MY LIFE ETERNITY. it was HUGE. it was guilt-free. and i TRIED, boy did i TRY to finish it off.. but it was so large that even my fatass couldnt finish in in one sitting. will most definitely be back again for this salad that has me dreamin about it.

Ate dinner here for New Years a few years ago and, after hearing so much about this establishment, I was expecting to be dazzled, considering how many great restaurants one has to choose from when dining on the Monterey Peninsula.

This place, however, just wasn't worth the price.  Perhaps we just caught them on a bad night, but I left feeling very underwhelmed.

The Forge has some interesting menu choices that are tasty. The outdoor seating is great if the weather and fog cooperate. By Carmel standards this place is only three stars; four stars in a normal town.

What a wonderful day!  I took one of my pups around Carmel which is perhaps the most dog friendly place in the world and this restaurant has a patio where you can dine with your dog and they even have a doggie menu!

My Oliver LOVED the beef and begged for more, even though the serving he got was bigger than his head.

The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because:
1) The older lady at the check in area was stuffy and snooty!   To everyone, not just me.  Lady,  take a pill!

Oh and the human food:  good and fresh!

2) My waitress would just dissapear.  Though there was other wait staff that picked up her slack.

Outside... cute as hell... warm as all get out...

and are those dogs eating with people?

Yup... a wonderful dog menu with "t-bone" and "hot dogs" for pups!

Great place, you need a rezzie, and if you get cold ask to sit inside!!!  The Food is great.... somewhat unimaginative, but enjoyable and a REALLY REALLY fun place to go for a drink or dinner....

A solid 5 stars goes out to our waitress Amy at Forge In The Forest who went above and beyond the call of duty. Consider yourself lucky if you have her wait at your table. Other waitstaff were not as on top of things unfortunately.

Other than that, the food and prices at Forge In The Forest was as disappointing as finding a Bear's Butt Nugget In The Woods. Don't get me the wrong, the food was ok but prices were on the high side.
The specials heirloom tomato salad was a big portion, but they literally charged an entree price of $17 to $18! The fish and chips were nice but the teriyaki salmon had the worst tasting sauce on it (definitely not made from scratch) which ruined the experience and an otherwise decent piece of seafood.

Outdoors dining can be a decent experience, as there are heated gas lamp posts, but these did very little during the recent 40F and below weather.

This may be a fun place to eat if you like hanging out at pubs (which this place gives it that Medieval beer festhalle feel), but other than that the menu selection and offerings were very lackluster, matched with rather high prices.

And this place is highly rated by the local publications, guides, mags and rags. Also a hit with local residents, though I'm still at a loss to understand why.
