It's the same stuff, but Forever 21's need to be this big. No, really. You all know why...when I shop, I don't want the girl next to me breathing down my neck. I want many workers around to clean up the mess and if I need assistance all I have to do is turn around and there's one. It's pretty well organized according to theme...It's the beginning so all the employees are doing their job. I kinda like how they all were in black so they can be easily pointed out. Anyway, try to go when no one is there...still makes things easier and more sane for everyone.

Only downside is that they need to learn how to control the lines. Nuff said

We'll see it is during the holiday season and after...

What's the deal w/ F21 super-sizing all of the F21 locations here?  First, Valley Fair... now Great Mall?  It was bad as is with the Valley Fair remodel - I couldn't find shit in the U-shaped layout that was 3x's the size I was used to... but now, the Great Mall location is 2x's the size of Valley Fair, making it 6x's more disorienting than what I am used to?!?  Wow.

Yes, it's huge.  I waited in line for 2.5 hrs. today on opening day to get the gift card, and it was kinda' sorta' worth it - kinda' sorta' not.  Nice that I got the $20 instead of the $10 - but with all the disorganized line jumping, cutters, and lack of security outside the mall, it almost wasn't worth waiting in the cold for...  I did get the extra 10% off on my overall purchase w/ my gift card though, so I'm not going to complain.

The store had everything though - all of the independent lines that F21 released, guy clothes and heritage stuff, all in one.  The fitting rooms were a little difficult to find, but the mass amount of employees working today were really helpful.  [there had to have been 50 staff members on board for today's opening...]

Way difficult to navigate and find things.  Everything is organized by "theme" - and not clothing type.  So if I want a dress I see online, it could be found in any of the individual zones in the store.  I'd have liked it better if they had an individual section for dresses, shirts, pants, etc... - it would make my shopping experience MUCH more convenient and efficient.  I highly doubt they would heed my advice though...  =(

Thanks to the new trend of supersizing everything to overwhelming extremes, I am now bullied into shopping online to keep my sanity when looking to purchase anything F21, stuck paying for shipping - and only setting foot in stores to exchange things I purchased that did not fit the way I expected.  ...In fact, I only went to the opening today because I just received an online purchase that did not work out, and figured I might as well kill 2 birds w/ one stone by going to exchange and getting a gift card while doing so.

They DID have an extensive selection of winter coats though - but with this weekend's opening, they were flying off the racks and selling like hotcakes.  I'll visit again to see how quickly they restock when my friend from out of town visits, and I'll have to show her how they ruined my F21 location in the Great Mall.   =(

I waited in line for the grand opening being there 2 hours prior to 10am. I missed the gift cards 400 first customer... darn.

Well organized! Themes by shop/brand in each separate sections. Unfortunate for those who hasn't shopped at f21in a LONG time. (Like me, I had to walked around the whole store 21 times looking for things that would look good on me/size... because the first one I grabbed didn't fit me and I couldn't located after someone thought my rack was for go backs.)

But I did become a VIP that day knowing that I need a new wardrobe for sweaters, jackets, shirts... basically tops. I grab whatever off the rack o my liking. Walked from one end of the store to the other. It was crowded-and the line was extremely LONG. Good thing I was recognized as a VIP because I awhile shopping in there maybe a few hours.

Big thanks to one of the managers, Joelyne (Cashier/Fitting room), and Grayland (Cashier/Carry-Out) telling me I could put my items down at the fitting room and grab more items. I had to wait for a big room but it is necessary. I tried the smaller room for a bit but was upgraded to the big room. I LOVE the look on the other girls face waiting in line to try on a FEW items when I just walked up and went in.

If you spent as much money as I did you'd get the same treatment too.

All in all I was happy with the overall shopping spree experience. I was a tiny bit disappointed that I couldn't find the lace hem skirt in size L let alone trying to locate it.... :(

Wonders if there is a way to get this since its no longer available online.

I'm definitely liking the new Forever 21. It's bigger and has better stuff than the old one did. & this is coming from a person who used to be disgusted by Forever 21.

I have to disagree with Sharon T. though. It's not disorienting at all.

The store is divided into themes. e.g. mens is on the far right (?), heritage is in the back, the lounge around clothing is to the front. It's quite easy to find stuff here.

Customer service is meh. They aren't really genuine. I have been asked, "how are you doing?" by several different people on the staff. They walk away before I can even answer.

Forever 21 has re-located within the mall ladies and gentlemen! It is no longer in between Bebe and Coach. It is now across from the Wells Fargo entrance. Entrace number 5 I believe. The store is huge! It's bigger than the one at Valley Fair. The store looks very nice. Everything was organized. So much clothes. Actually, so so so much clothes. Everywhere I turned was something cute. I thought I was in a warehouse. I picked up three cute tops this evening. They fit well, the material was good, and the price was right. What more can I ask for?

Girl:  Are you finding everything all right?
Me:  Not really.  I can't seem to find where this shirt is at.  I'm looking for a small.. (holds up a L)
Girl:  [glances at the shirt]  I don't know...maybe that's our only one [hurriedly about faces and scurries away]
Me:  Okay, you were a big help.

Don't ask me if i am finding everything all right if you are not going to do anything about it.
Forever21 is great for finding trendy clothes for cheap.  Just don't expect any help finding anything.

Went here for the first time in three months - I forgot how nice this store was! Great customer service, although if you want specific merchandise, you should bring in the item code from the website, because they won't recognize the website name.

It's also very pretty and attractive, although it can be a little difficult to find things, it makes this store more like a treasure hunt than anything :D

I have to admit that I don't come to Forever 21 to shop very often, but of the few times I've been to this location, I've left annoyed.

I've been in customer service, and in my opinion it really doesn't take much more effort to make your customer's experience exceptional or at least decent. Yes, the girls that work here probably make minimum wage, but that is no excuse.

When I walking around the store and the music blaring over the speakers is explicit material, blatantly cussing when there are little children running around the store, that's just not right. I point it out to a cashier and she says that they get their music from someone higher up and they can't choose what music they play. Yeah, right.

Then, I'm looking for a shirt so I approach a girl just standing behind the counter who is not doing anything but talking to another girl. Our conversation went something like this:

Me: "Where in the store can I find this shirt?"
Forever 21 girl: [points to the front of the store] "Over there."
Me: [looking at Forever 21 girl with dismay] "Over there?"
Forever 21 girl: "Yeah, over there."

You've got to be kidding me.

I love this one except for ALL the damn people that always shop here. But sometimes its tough to find things.

I work at this mall now and my first day is on Wednesday but through 2 interviews and 1 orientation I've been here 4 times. HAHAHA! I went back twice one day. ALL BAD.

I am sort of a recent convert of Forever 21.  I used to find it a little too noisy, cramped, it was hard to find stuff, and I hated their return policy (or lack thereof!).

But, I must say, it's grown on me and now it's TOTALLY my go-to place for inexpensive, super cute clothes and accessories.  I love that I can always find something new here and can keep up with the trends that I like without breaking the bank.

This Forever 21 in particular is my all-time favorite location.  So much so that I'm a little wary of advertising that, for fear that everyone will catch on and it will become too crazy in there!  haha  For whatever reason, it just seems SO much more spaced out and things are easier to look through here.  Plus, it seems like even when it's busy on the weekends there's not a huge wait for a dressing room or at the register.

The return policy still sucks, and I can't say that the quality of the clothes is the best or the longest lasting, but I'm still a big fan.  TONS of cute things, at even better prices...works for me!!  : )

Good store overall.
In terms of customer service, the only time I've interacted with workers is when I have to make and exchange, and that's always gone smoothly.  Of course, they're not really welcoming or ask if you need help finding anything, but like others said, that doesn't really bother me. Pretty organized and they have a variety or selection. If you want an even bigger selection, head over to Valley Fair's F21

Ok, dont ask how or why I ended up back at the Great Mall....I thought I had sworn this place off a few months back. But I was in the area, and I thought I was going out last night, and I figured I needed a cute maxi dress (aka mumu).

I rolled in and was pleasantly surprised (yes it was a weekday) as to how clean and organized this store was. Compared to Oakridge and Valley Fair, I was impressed. My problem may be the fact that usually I am shopping on a weekend and it is a mess, but for some reason I think this store is usually on par.

And I must confess I have fallen in love with 21 over the past year or so. It is still cheap stuff but you can find some well made items, great jackets and fun trendy stuff that you dont want to make a big investment out of. (Im the girl constantly dropping off bags at Goodwill every few weeks)

No maxi dress but I did score a black hat and three super cute sexy tops. I am going back for a few dresses for an upcoming trip to LA...and that cute clutch....and that necklace....and that scarf...

Oh, and go to their website for cute cheap shoes as well! I cant wait to sport my new sexiness strolling down Sunset in a few weeks!

The girls here are super friendly and helpful. The manager is very nice. I called in to see if they had an item I liked and they said they would call back and let me know if they have it.
They called back and they put it on hold for me and I thought it was nice of them because when I called the oakridge's forever 21 the girl who answered seemed quick to say they didn't have any when really they did she just didn't want to go look for it.
The girls who work at the one in oakridge are rude and lazy!

This one is very nice and excellent customer service

Never fails whenever I walk in...I always manage to walk out with something in a yellow F21 bag. Best selection here besides the Tanforan F21 store I frequently visit since it's closer to my place.

Plus it's easy on my wallet.

I don't really have any complaints about this store. I always walk out with a yellow F21 bag. Every selection of clothing they have are affordable. Sure it doesn't quite last long enough to wear, but hey...you paid for cheap clothing. What can you say about that?

Sucks about their return/store credit policies, but it's business. The customer service, it's alright. They're at least quite polite when it concerns getting a dressing room. I notice that they don't ask for any help, but that's because they're trying to maintain the store and make it organized.

This is the most organized F21 I've been, compared to the one at Valleyfair...they have a lot of clothes still kept on rolling racks. Unbelievable!

Best selection out of all the Forever 21 stores! (I might be biased because I used to work here, but I really did try shopping at other locations).

Yes, the policies do suck, but what can you do? Is it really worth arguing to the manager about a $15.80 top you ruined in the wash? People need to just grow up, if you want good quality then pay for it! You can't expect a top to last forever (no pun intended haha) that only cost you under twenty bucks!

And for those of you who are confused, this location is not an outlet. Yes, it's located in an outlet mall, but it's a regular Forever 21 store. You may think they have different clothes, but in reality it is because the store is larger and the clothes are more spread out, so you notice more...

Okay, so the customer service might not be what you would like, but it is a retail store. What retail store could you really say was that spectacular in their customer service skills?

This place is hit or miss for me.  Sometimes I can go in and find a bunch of things, sometimes I go in and find nothing.  And often when I do purchase from here, a thread seems to come loose, or I find a seam that wasn't sewn together all the way.  But for clothes that are usually under $25, I can't complain too much since it's usually an easy fix.  One thing I definitely have to commend them on - their jeans.  I bought a pair of jeans here a year or two ago and I'm still wearing them.  Okay ,so they're starting to fray a lot at the bottom but that's not their fault.  It's my fault for wearing jeans that are too long and shoes that don't give me the extra height I need so they don't drag.

This location is much nicer than the one at Valley Fair.  It doesn't feel nearly as crowded - even on a Saturday afternoon trying to maneuver through the groups of girls looking for clubbing wear for the night.

Basically, shopping here means you support human rights violations. You also get the added benefit of buying into our culture's waste-addiction - the prices are so low, you can afford to throw out your entire Forever 21 wardrobe every season (as intended).

This is the BEST Forever 21 here, besides the 3-floor one in SF. It's soooo big and they have more of a selection than the other Forever 21's I've been to. Usually when I go on their website to look at the clothes, I can't find the clothes at the actual store! Buuut, with this Forever 21, they practically have EVERYTHING! Everytime I go here, I always end up buying something for myself.

Help...I'm addicted to Forever 21!!!

Forever 21 has pretty, cute and trendy clothes but the quality is not good. Throw something in the wash a few times and it will get thinner and thinner. Maybe even rip at the seams, hah oh well it was cheap though right? (just like Lisa said disposable, hah)

I don't usually shop for clothes here but it's seems like the largest one in the area. The selection is good and it's easier to move around the store and shop unlike the one in Valley Fair also more organized.

I decided to write a review for this particular Forever 21 location because in my opinion, it's the best one in the South Bay/East Bay area.  The one at Newpark is tiny and has a poor selection, Valley Fair's is crowded and way to messy to even shop, Oakridge is small and has an odd selection.  However, Great Mall's Forever 21 is huge and is always neat/clean enough so that there's not clothes all over the floor, etc.  Although the service can really suck here sometimes, I'm not going to walk into a store where the employees are getting paid minimum wage and expect great service.  They're working in a hectic, heavy flow, retail store and I am sure they have a lot of work being at Forever 21, where hundreds of girls walk through a day and mess up the racks.

Anyhow, the thing I love about Forever 21 is that I can get my basic spaghetti strap shirts, long sleeve shirts, tee shirts, all for under 10 bucks a piece.  You might think I'm cheap, but no that's not the case.  When you need some basic tops that are just going to be worn underneath a jacket or another top, the under $10 basic shirts work pretty damn well.

Also, if I am going out to the bars or the clubs, Forever 21 is a great place to pick up a cute and inexpensive top for one night out.  The one thing I've noticed a lot of girls say is "Oh, and the club/bar was full of girls in their cheap Forever 21 outfits".  I see that kind of statement in a lot of nightclub/bar reviews that I read.  Come on, what is up with those girls!! WHO CARES IF GIRLS ARE DRESSED IN FOREVER 21.  Not everyone is able to afford expensive clothes for going out.  I mean come on really, when I buy a top for going out, I'm going to wear it 1-2 times max.  And why am I gunna spend 50-100 bucks on a nice top when there is potential alcohol-spilling, cigarette smell staining for it?

Bottom line: I love Forever 21 for my basics (why am I gunna spend $20-$30 on a spaghetti strap shirt/tee shirt I am going to constantly outgrow?), going out clothes that I'll wear once-twice.  I don't go to Forever to buy the items that I obviously need to be better quality (winter coats, etc).

I think Forever 21 is great for girls up to 25.  Because honestly, before that age, we're all still growing and changing our taste.  If we go out and buy a $100 shirt, we're not gunna like it a month later.  That's just how we are.

And of course, I would LOVE to have ALL of my clothes from Guess, Bcbg, etc (some of my favorite brands).. But seriously, I am a college student on a TIGHT TIGHT budget.  Forever 21 helps me out in that sense immensely.  I can spend $100, and get 8-10 items, compared to when I go shop at BCBG and spend $200 for 3-4 items.

ok.... so clearly forever 21 does not provide exceptional customer service, nor does it provide clothing that will last 10 years. maybe not even 5 yrs. so.... why would i even bother coming?

-cheap: although i have some expensive clothes, there are times when cheap clothes are good for use of a couple times. chances are, you're going to a party or lounge or whatever situation where you don't really want your $100 shirt to be ruined.

-sales associates: yeah, there's no way their salaries are high enough for them to care. also, its doubtful that they train their staff to know how to take care of customers. i usually don't need their help, so i don't have a problem.

-orderliness: at a store like this with cheap prices, i almost expect a shovel to sift through cheap trendy knockoffs. however, this branch manages to keep things orderly and somehow less cramped than the valley fair branch.

-lucky: i feel so lucky that i usually find some of my favorite (and long lasting) shirts at this branch. i don't know how, but i just find them. my favorite sweaters, favorite comfy tanks, favorite... everything.

-ventilation: seriously, its like you're inhaling lint at all clothing stores, but despite the millions of light bulbs and lint-filled air, i don't have problems here.

-quality: well, obviously, they have to lose a star because some of the styles are simply too ridiculous for anyone to wear, let alone fabrics that fuzz up easily or even rhinestones literally hanging on by a couple threads.

overall, this branch does very well for me.

If there was a word to describe this place it would be: Disposable! I agree with other yelpers, this store is definatley cheap and trendy! I have found some GREAT pieces here that look like they cost $$$ but were only $20! Only downside is that you can only wear the clothes one season then its off to the goodwill!

Overall, if I need something last minute for going out or tank tops and earrings for the weekend I will come here. I find myself spending way too much here when I can invest the money on a few nice things rather than 8 so/so items that fit kinda weird but look HOT. lol. (sometimes the clothes is made irregular ie. seams are crooked) Be sure to try on 3 items of the same size for the best piece in stock.

I am surprised at the other reviews.  I went in there to spend money and left never so willing to call corporate in my life.  I picked at least 20 items.  SInce you can only take 8 into the dressing room I left the others with the young girl to set aside, I came out and they were missing.  She had no idea of how to help me find them so I went searching and found half and went back to the dressing room.  I came out and the ones I wanted had been put back.  I asked a few employess to help but they looked at me like it was my fault and wouldn't give me the time.  I even got a glare from a worker there, come to find she was the manager!

I walked out not buying anything. I prefer my local disorganized but friendlier Hillsdale Mall -Forever 21 far more and they have a smaller space but work with it the best they can.

Like all other cheap retail stores, this location has poor service. I had bought a Heritage item in the Forever 21 location in SF. I tried to exchange it at the Great Mall location and they wouldn't do it for me. The workers are very rude and like to roll their eyes at you if you ask them anything. By the way, the receipt for the item was a Forever 21 receipt with no return policy that says you can't return the item. If they are going to sell heritage products that are not final sale, then they should be able to exchange it too. Also in the same trip, I tried on some pants which I didn't know that there was a sensor in the pocket and the needle left a pretty apparent scratch down my leg. So not only did the manager at the time know that, she still decided to give me attitude during that process with no remorse for their lack of loss prevention. There were countless of times I have gone in there and received the same bad service. Since Forever 21 is so cheap and convenient for simple things, I choose to shop at any other location than the one at Great Mall....service is still poor, but never as bad as the service received at the Forever 21 in Great Mall.

I have to say this is the friendliest F21 I've been to.   Clean, and fairly well organized/merchandised for a F21.  FYI- They don't have a mens side.

I love this place.  I shop here all the time.  At least once a week if not more.  I can come here everyday and not be bored of it.  This is probably one of the best Forever 21 in the bay area, because it's very organized here and the clothes don't cost so much, also the employees are nicer than the other forver 21.

This is one of the best Forever 21s in the south bay. Of course nothing compares to the SF location, but this Forever 21 does fulfill the need for some place close by. I shop at this location for years and I always walk out with something. Everything is mostly nice and neat on its appropriate section and self. Unlike the other locations, this Forever 21 seems to have more variety of new stuff unlike any of the others.

Like how I can find things in this store and its always clean, I just hate the customer service! I went up to the cashier with a gift card from Wachovia and she goes "do u know how much is in here? It won't work if you don't know." Girl, that gift card had nearly $200 in it and DUH! The card says to check the balance frequently! After debating with this cashier woman for FIVE WHOLE MINUTES, she finally swiped the card. I hated it, and I wanted to smack her.

Best forever 21 in the bay cuz its the most organized and have the best selection of clothing. Sometimes it gets a lilttle hectic on the weekends and racks and racks of go-backs pile up but YOU PEOPLE JUST NEED TO PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK. yes...i feel their pain cuz i used to work there haha. People shouldn't bring in 20 pieces of clothing and leave them all on the ground inside out and out of the hanger after you try them on and not even buy anything! but anywaysss i love this store, especially this one at the gmall :)

I'll be honest, I spend a lot more on shoes and purses than I do on clothes. That is why I LOVE shopping here. Spending less than $20 on a shirt I'll probably throw away before the next season starts seems fair to me. I like this location in particular because its bigger and has more selection. Not to mention less crowded!

I agree with most of the reviews except for the prices, I felt the prices were closer to retail and Charlotte Russe's prices were much better, walk further down the Great Mall hall.

I do have to agree with most of you....Forever 21 is cheap and the clothes are bad...Nut this store is probably my favorite of all the other F21s in the area. It is pretty well kept and if you need help in the store, you do receive it. I also like their sales. They have good deals. Lately I've been going here every 2 months or so...I bought underwear from them, a pair of hot red jeans and a great dress. These...last month...And I am happy with these so far...but the problem is...after the season passes and there's a new style coming out...You always have to dispose of their clothes, because they're not the hot stuff anymore...These clothes are not classic and they do not last time. I usually send them to my best friend in Europe. Sometimes they fall apart, too...So, the quality is super bad...but if you plan on wearing them just for the summer, it might work.
