Dr. Hearst tried to prescribe an out of state CBD cream for $150. Also tried to get us to buy customized Orthotics for $500, which my daughter did not need; she arrived with toe pain. Was only her 1st visit. Got one Xray of her foot; when bill came, they charged us for 2 Xrays, which they rectified when notified. Look closely at your bill! Also just charged me $57 for a follow up office visit we never went to because we cancelled before hand.

Dr Hurst and staff are amazing. I went 1 1/2 years trying to figure out what was wrong with my foot. After 5 specialists, I found Dr Hurst. I had surgery and everything is perfect. He is very kind and listens to everything. I would recommend him for any foot problems

I could not ask for a more caring doctor or staff than this office has to offer. Dr. Hurst has done two surgeries for me and each time kept me very informed, let me ask all the questions, and I healed amazing. Each time I come in, he takes his time to address every concern and I never feel rushed. Dr. Hurst makes you feel like you are his only patient even though from a packed office clearly you are not. He also gives you options for treatment which is great because oftentimes as a patient I don't feel like I have a choice. Dr. Hurst is amazing and I highly recommend him.

They scheduled me for treatment asap and gave me honest information about recovery time and what to expect. I was most impressed with the doctors breadth of knowledge and quick diagnosis. Also it was refreshing how friendly and caring they were.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hearst for the last 10 years.
Starting from the office staff when you walk in, who are very kind and helpful. When it's your turn, they come out and escort you to your room and Dr. Hearst comes in almost immediately. I'm sure they'll be times when he has a procedure he's doing that might take a little longer than most, but what I have experienced it is almost immediate.
I would not use any other podiatrist as I trust him immensely. He explains everything he will be doing, why you have the problem and what he will do to fix it. He also explains any medication's you might need and how to use them instead of just handing you a box so you can read it for yourself.
Thank you Dr. hurst and staff for making my appointment very comfortable.

I rarely ever post reviews but I don't want others to go through my experience. This was the WORST medical experience I've ever had. I'd give Dr Ames no stars if possible.
Dr Ames was NOT truthful. I came in as I was experiencing pain in my big toe from an ingrown toenail. It was hurting but was not intolerable. It was recommended the same day to go through an ingrown toenail surgery. I was told it was going to be a temporary removal where my toenail would grow back. Dr Ames went through how long it would take to grow back, which was fine. Because it was NOT stated it would be a PERMANENT removal, I went ahead with the procedure.
Fast forward a few months, I call the office back to see if it was indeed a permanent removal since I had gone to another podiatrist after experiencing pain in the same big toe and the other podiatrist mentioned it looked like a permanent removal. I asked Dr Ames' nurse if my toenail was permanently removed, I was told I went through a procedure to stop the toenail from growing back ingrown, I asked again, was my toenail permanently removed and will it not grow back, at which point they said yes. I would have NEVER gone through a permanent toenail removal surgery. If this was the third or fourth time of going through a temporary toenail removal and the permanent option was the only solution to stop the ingrown then maybe. But this was my first ingrown toenail experience!
I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere for your podiatrist care. I'm in my mid 30s and now I'll go the rest of my life missing part of my big toenail/living with a deformed looking toenail.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 27, 2020
I found this office on my insurance website and it was the only one in my area that had good reviews, so i decided to see him. I was able to book an appointment online and was able to see the doctor on a Monday afternoon. Let me start off by saying that the doctor/nurses were really nice to me, that is until I advised them i was going elsewhere.
When i go into the office i noticed how old the office was, as well as how dark it was inside. It was rather warm in the office even if the really loud A/C was running. A nurse took my information and took X-rays of my foot. It was about 30 Minutes afterwards that the doctor came in to look at them. It was at that time I noticed the top strap of his face mask was broken, and it was hanging off of his face. I could not stop staring at it while speaking to him. I spoke to him for a few minutes about my situation, however did not receive a diagnosis or treatment. However I did receive some sample pills and a promise that an "online pharmacy" would contact me about receiving more. He did order another test and some imaging, which they said they would contact me about the next day. I then checked out at the desk and paid a co-pay, even though my insurance plan is an HRA.
On my way out of the office, the nurse comes running out behind me advising me she voided out my charge and needed my card again. Mind you i am on crutches and hobbling out to the car at this time. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth and decided to look for a second opinion. I then received a call that they did not copy my insurance card( even though i handed them the card when i first arrived) and they needed me to call them back. That certainly helped me make the decision easier to go elsewhere, however i did contact them back to ask for a copy of my X-rays. It was at that time they said it would be $10 for them to burn a copy of them, I was not happy to hear this and neither were they when i told them i was going elsewhere. It was at that time the pleasantries stopped and they became cold and some would say hostile.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Laura S.Austin, TX33216Apr 21, 2022

Dr. Hurst is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable doctor. This makes the second time I have seen him (for two different issues). I had to have surgery both times. He was very patience and informed me in layman terms what was to be done, what to expect for recovery and the post-op procedures.
The staff are great! They, also, are caring and answered all of my questions.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
