I'm not a vegan or vegetarian...having said that, this place rocks!
Went for brunch & had the pancakes. Treated myself to a shake & it was good.
I'm glad I can go here with my vegetarian friend & eat amazing food. -

Imagine, if vegans and vegetarians had the same access to the comfort junk food that both omnivores and meat lovers have at their disposal on every street corner? Foodswings has given me a glimpse of that vision. I'm not a vegetarian, but I was really happy to have spent a unique lunch date with my vegan best friend chowing down on not-your-standard-affair sandwiches, fries, and mac & cheese.
My sandwich, the Chick'n Cutlet Bacon Ranch, is a force to be reckoned with! The sandwich didn't fall apart, the cutlet wasn't fried to a crisp, and I actually feel like this could actually contend with a real chicken cutlet bacon ranch sandwich and hold its own! It was definitely satisfying.
The dining area has a little bit of a dive atmosphere. There are two booth tables, and the rest are small tables that could be pushed together to accommodate a larger group of people.
The milkshakes looked awesome; I will have to come back at a time when it's warmer to try them out and grab some vegan wings! -

Went to NYC for a show in Williamsburg and went to this place for the first time. Now I get the urge to drive from Boston just for a cheese steak. Even my brother, not even close to vegan, loved this place. GET A MILKSHAKE AND METAL FRIES.
Also, Danzig was playing. -

I could say: at least there's a vegan place in the 'burg to eat out at...but if you're vegan like we are, it's just a pathetic state of affairs that such a so-called progressive, conscientious neighborhood like the 'burg offers only 1 such sad sack excuse for vegan fare called Foodswings.
And we LUV comfort vegan. However, some descriptives for their food to wet your appetite for meat again include a menu clogged with soggy white bread, cold/clammy/greasy/unsavory meat subs, bland dressings, dry cupcakes, and over-salty/fried potato options. This is not healthy, tasty comfort vegan food. This is a mess, and not cheap either.
After the food mess, since this is counter service try strategically placing some menus at the entrance so customers aren't forced to set eyes on/peruse the menu when its their turn at counter (holding the line up as they ask the poor waitress, who does everything here it seems but cook, a question); try stating what you USE for alt. products such as the "ice cream" in your menu, so the waitress doesn't have to, to every sod who inquiries; try standing behind your food - if someone asks to exchange this slop...even the worst restaurants out there uphold this tacit customer service standard today -- JUST DO IT b/c web reviews exist and it's much easier for you, Foodswings, to exchange the food and possibly retain a customer than undo this negative review.
Finally, I think I'll open a vegan restaurant right across the street from Foodswings, so they are no longer the only game in the entire 'burg (pathetic), maybe some competition will inspire this joint to get serious.Comment from Melody H. of Foodswings 2/6/2012

Review from Russell H.
East Meadow, NY
Some really good stuff, some blah stuff. Great concept!
I had the best vegan "wings" I've ever ate at this place. I got a Buffalo one and a Southern BBQ one. The Buffalo flavor was down perfect with a really good vegan blue cheese dressing. The BBQ was really nice and sweet but with that smoky flavor too. The texture of the drumsticks (they are essentially wings so I'm going to keep calling them that) was pretty spot on like chicken minus all the undesirables like fatty chunks and skin. Really good job on the breading too! I believe they use the "chicken" from May Wah.
The milkshake I got was also pretty good, however I was hoping for a more natural and real strawberry flavor. I don't know what I was really expecting from a Crunchberry Milkshake but it definitely tasted like that familiar breakfast cereal. I'm going to sound strange here but it wasn't as cold as I'd hoped, which is strange considering that it had ice cream in it and was really thick. I'll stop complaining because it really was a pretty darn good milkshake.
Vegan Corn Dog was pretty eh. The dog was very bland itself, though some hints of flavor came through. I'm not completely sure what I was expecting. Corn coating was interesting but definitely could have been much more flavorful.
The Gyro was good but there could have been more flavor and more tzatziki sauce. The "meat" was a little bit bland and probably could have used some more spices and such. All in all it was a pretty good bite.
I had a little piece of a Chocolate Peppermint Cupcake and that was really yummy. I also had some of the Pizza Fries and enjoyed those as well.
Besides the food, the service was friendly. They also have a big water dispenser so you can grab some water any time you like. It's counter service style.
I really like the concept of the place and there was one very amazing thing on the menu that I was able to taste. I feel like I should come back here and have something else to come up with a more solid review, but so far I'm going to go ahead and say I'm a fan of this place. Those drumsticks/wings whatever you want to call them were the best I've had by far and I'd come back here just for them. Maybe the next time I come I'll get that combo that comes with wings and mac and cheese! -

I don't really get the hype?
Its overpriced fake meat cut into different shapes.....but I guess that's the idea.
I mean, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. It should be cheaper for what it is... It was also kinda dirty, in a mcdonalds dirty kinda way when I was there. Tables needed wiping and the floor could have used a sweep. -

The cashier was super nice. I ordered the cowboy burger and it was excellent.
My only problem was my table was dirty and there were flies. Im big on cleanliness in a food establishment, but it wont stop me from visiting again. Fair prices and speedy service! -

Foodswings is one of my top two favorite places to go for late-night vegan food (the other is BAD Burger). Their menu is slightly hit-or-miss (the burgers, for example, can be mealy and kind of soggy), but they still deserve five stars for everything they do so right. Here are two very persuasive reasons to go to Foodswings: 1. They're open til 2 on the weekends and 2. An entire page of their menu is devoted to different varieties of milkshakes. Vegan milkshakes. And they're phenomenal (they use Lula's, so of course they are). It's more difficult to decide which milkshake to get than what to have for lunch/dinner/drunk food.
The late-night menu has a limited selection of sandwiches, but an extended selection of snacks. Sometimes they have Daiya mozzarella sticks, which make me want to cry, they are so good. Foodswings is also great for weekend brunch. They only ever have two brunch options (as far as I've seen)--the breakfast burrito and choice of blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes--but they are both outstanding. It might be my favorite brunch spot in wburg, despite its limited selection. They are just that good.
The best sandwich is the chicken parm, but the best item on the menu is the chipotle cheese fries. I ordered them with a group of friends last night, and everyone just inhaled them, muttering "oh my god" every few minutes. A friend of mine commented after I took my first bite that it looked like I had just taken a shot of heroin. Those fries are my heroin. We also agreed that the onion rings were the best any of us (including the omnivores) had ever eaten.
Overall rating: 8 or 9/10 -

Brooklyn, NY
Ok, finally decided to give this place a 2nd try, and luckily for my wallet and my mouth, it was much better this time. I got the "sole filet" sandwich, which as it says in the description below the misleading name, is actually a mock-fish stick sandwich, not a filet. It was pretty tasty, hit the spot, although for some reason their tartar sauce was made with mustard... my bf had the vegan heart attack, which I didn't care for, a little mushier than a bacon burger should be imo, but he liked it. also tried the punk fries, which were really good, the vegan cheese was very melty, almost like a cheese sauce. We waited about 50 minutes for our delivery, and it was still warm when we got it, fries were even crunchy and not soggy.
So I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 now, not perfect, but I will definitely go back.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Brooklyn, NY
Vegan food good enough to satisfy a carnivore.
Loved the vibe here - very casual, with generic furniture and posters and quotes from Gandhi, Da Vinci, Martin Luther King and Albert Einstein. All were somewhat pro-animal, but they weren't overbearing. It has a Greenwich/East Village 70s sensibility to it, which is a compliment.
The food? Big yum there. Had the Eggie & Cheese and the Corn Dog. The E & C was sliced tofu, which makes more sense than trying to create scrambled tofu that will just create a mess. The soy cheese actually tasted like cheese (!), and the toast was perfectly done.
The corn dog was a typical veggie hot dog, so no surprises there. But it was cooked well. Have been trying to find a vegetarian corn dog for months (seriously), so it was great to be able to eat one. This was my first corn dog - yay!
It's serve-yourself utensils and napkins here, which gives the place the air of a fast-food restaurant. Food is served in baskets and on trays, so the staff has minimal clean-up. It still works out as eco-friendly, because so little garbage is created. Lighting is low, even in the restroom.
Serves some baked goods as well. Bathroom is clean, so no complaints there.

I love this place and get here as often as I can. I have been kind of stuck on their veggie drumstick combo plate with mac and cheese, but today the (positively dreamy) counter guy suggested the sausage and peppers sandwich served parmesan style. So delicious. the shakes are great as is everything else I've had on the menu. Oh, god. I'm hungry again.
Service is always great and friendly, even when it's packed. Go there. Now! -

I had heard of the legend of Foodswings before I even moved to NYC. Back in SF, good vegan/veggie food is easy to come by, so I was pretty stoked to check out Foodswings. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed when I visited.
Wasn't expecting such a teensy, tiny place. It was really warm outside, and for some reason, it was even hotter inside. I felt so bad for the staff in the kitchen. It must have been miserable in there. Can't blame them for being cranky. Maybe we happened to come at a time when their air conditioning was broken?
Everyone agreed that the food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. The drumsticks were definitely the highlight of the visit. Prices were a little bit disappointing though. Maybe my expectations were too high? Maybe the Bay Area and all its vegan goodness has spoiled me? -
Review from Erica J.
Foodswings provides vegans and vegetarians with plenty of fast-food options. Nothing fancy; no special bread or rolls here, but all the veg-ized burger, chicken, hot dog, fry combos you could ever think of. It's not healthy, and I severely question what vegan "fish" sticks are made from, but hey, once in a while, you just want junk-food.
The fries are always a little soggy which is an insult to the crispy french-fry we all know and love.
Four stars for the vegan milkshakes. Those are always delicious. -

Hm. I can see the draw of Foodswings and why people go crazy for it. It's pretty cool to be able to order from an entirely vegan fast food menu.
Foodswings menu includes everything from nachos to chili dogs to milkshakes. The ambiance looks a lot like a tattoo parlor in the East Village- all black and white with "Foodswings" painted in scroll-y font beneath the register. The menu is written on blackboards on the wall behind the register in chalk.
I've been here several times and feel that I have had more convincing fake meat, but the food here is pretty good, not great though. My favorites that I have tried so far are the seitan reuben and the BBQ chicken wings combo with mac and cheese.
They really nailed the taste of a regular reuben here and it's delicious. The chicken wings are kind of fibrous, but the BBQ sauce is very good. They offer two kinds of mac and cheese and unless you specify, the chicken wings combo comes with the "creamy" kind, so this is the only one I have tried. The consistency of the cheese part is thin compared to how it would be with regular mac and cheese and much more seasoned. It tastes faintly like curry to me.
Honestly, this is not the type of food I eat as a meat eater (I prefer to waste my calories on sweets). Eating the vegan version of these things doesn't make me feel any less like I've swallowed a bowling ball.
I have noticed that the food is inconsistent. On one visit my mac and cheese tasted like Indian food, on the next, it didn't as much. One time, my chicken wings were more compact and the "bone" stuck out the bottom so I could hold them, the next, they were huge and covered the bone.
On my last visit, my boyfriend's sister ordered some kind of fried chicken sandwich concoction that was supposed to come with mayo and didn't. My boyfriend ordered a float that was supposed to be made with gingerale and ice cream, but they made it with cream soda instead (we were sure of this because they give you the rest of the can of soda to finish).
Speaking of dessert, the cupcakes are alright, but I have had better vegan ones. You're better off getting some ice cream from Lula's Sweet Apothecary that they have in a mini fridge on the counter (if it isn't sold out, which it's always been when I've gone), or going elsewhere.
I definitely recommend coming here if you're vegan and miss eating this type of food, because you won't find a menu like this anywhere else that I know of. If you're not vegan, Foodswings may be nice to check out as a novelty, but it just doesn't stack up to the real thing, as some vegan food does. -
Review from Alice T.

Boy oh boy, was I underwhelmed. This place has 4 stars from nearly 250 yelpers!
First, the cooler than thou employees just didn't do it for me service-wise, as they carried on their mundane conversation as I stepped to the counter. Worth mentioning, waitresses assumed that I was used to the "regular" version and made comment of cow mucus; I've been a veghead since 7th grade and if I were an omnivore would've been annoyed at the meat bash! Yes, I'm a snob, but you know what they say about assumptions. The decor is cold yet kitsch.
There's no creativity on this menu. It's basically just veganized American Classics, which I knew going in, but I still like a little variety on my palate. Also, if you're concerned about healthy eats, avoid this place. Everything is comfort and fried... seems like a great place to enjoy a drunken meal however.
I had the Chick'n Parmigiana with a side of fries for $1. It was just okay. With the advent of Daiya cheese, vegan spots have lost creativity. I can buy Daiya from WF too and sprinkle it over EVERY last "cheesey" dish from the turn of the century. Wouldn't pay $10 for it again, but I was hungry, it was cold out, was waiting for the doors @ the Knitting Factory. Satisfied my craving and the portions are huge. -
Review from Sammy G.
So gooooddddddd!
It has all the normal junk food you would want, but in vegan form. And it's delicious. After reading a few reviews, I couldn't help but choose this place to try out. There doesn't seem to be many places in NJ that are like this so when we venture out to NY we want something worth the drive.. and it was!
Started with the "Punk Fries" cheese and bacon, what a lovely combination on french fries. They fries weren't hot, just a little warm so we had to eat those first when everything came out. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Drumsticks and a side of Mac and Cheese, I don't know which 3 he chose with the combination, the hostess said she'd pick out good ones and from his reaction; she did. I tried one that was delicious. I was never a chicken fan as a meat eater but this stuff just taste so much better then normal. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with American cheese and ahhhhhh. I haven't had a cheesesteak in so long and it hit the spot perfectly. The rootbeer float went perfect with my meal too. At the end, Steve ordered a Butterfinger milkshake and although it was very tasty, it wasn't worth $7. Other then that, we enjoyed ourselves on our dinner trip to Brooklyn.
The atmosphere is very hipster. Good amount of seating too. It got really busy after we sat down so maybe for the amount of business they do it's not a lot of seating but we found a nice booth for ourselves :) -

Know what you're going for and you will become a regular. Do you crave drumsticks? Creamy Mac and Cheese? Freshly adorned burgers? Are you also a cheap vegetarian? Then you have arrived. BTW, order the creamy mac and avoid the plantains. P.S. Bring back the blackened plantains!

I am vegan and typically eat very light meals (vegetable soups with brown rice, tofu dishes, couscous, quinoa, salads, etc). I had heard great things about Foodswings. Tired of my "healthy" norm, I dragged my boyfriend with me to try it out. After we were finished, I ran home to write this review.
I ordered the 'Filet of Soul' and fries with gravy (no cheese). It was delicious. I am so used to eating vegetable heavy foods, that I forgot how pleasurable it was to eat fast food. So lucky to have this place around me, and I look forward to going again sometime.
All in all, I am extremely impressed with Foodswings. I am vegan to save lives, not to get skinny, and I appreciate Foodswings effort to promote good vegan food.
Great atmosphere. Excellent staff. Delicious food. Large something-for-everyone menu. Incredible prices. -

This place makes me wish I lived in Williamsburg. It's like a late night diner, except it's all vegan food! I challenge you to tell the difference between buffalo chx sandwich and buffalo chicken. Taste-wise, you will be amazed at how much you could never tell the difference and then wonder why you ever bothered with chicken in the first place! On my latest visit I had that sandwich, pizza fries, and a root beer float. Outstanding and I want to go back so I can try more of the menu.
Take note, however, that this is NOT health food. It's vegan junk food but it's damn tasty and no animals died for it! -

I'm a vegetarian, not vegan, and I usually don't like vegan food. But this place is AWESOME. It is one of THE best restaurants to get veggie/vegan food at. The food here is cheap, but I'm probably going broke just from coming here so often.
One of the things you'll have to get on the menu is the southern fried drumsticks. I think I could live off of these for the rest of my life. They are SO FREAKING TASTY. See how I put that in all caps? Yeah, that's how serious I am about them! Not only are they super-amazing-fantastically tasting, but they are also really filling.
Eat the burgers! Eat the hot dogs! Eat everything! Nom nom nom nom nom. (I should probably clarify that I avoid vegan cheese at all costs and have not had any dishes with cheese here. For all I know the cheese is good, but I don't tend to like dairy-free cheese so I've avoided ordering things with cheese on them. But one of my friends got something with fake mozzarella on it and said it was good.)
The last time I came here Foodswings messed up the order, but I didn't mind. I ordered a gyro burger and they gave me a gyro instead -- which was actually what I wanted in the first place but didn't order it since it was 2 dollars more than the gyro burger. So how did they make up for accidentally giving me a more expensive dish that I actually wanted more in the first place? They gave me two free cupcakes!!! I will say that the cupcakes weren't as tasty as cupcakes with dairy in them, but hey, they were free!
Oh, they have really good milkshakes too, but they are a tiny bit expensive for their size. But if you're in the mood for a vegan milkshake, go ahead and get one. They are tasty. -

I took my guy here for lunch and what a waste of $34.25.
The food was not to our liking at at all!!!!!!!
The cook was scratching his upper shoulder then went to fix our order and didn't wash his hands at all. No gloves while prepping food!!! I was taken aback when I seen a patron go to a large Gatorade cooler to service herself for water. That jug scared me.
The food had a smell of "old". Taste good for the first bite then my tongue and stomach began to curse me.
I suggest that you order very small, see if you like the food before going support happy like me and wasting money.
Never will we go there again!!!

See my profile for the location of my blog for the full review and pics.
Foodswings, it's black veneer clearly designed by the devil himself with a menu put together by the very same Satanic forces of evil. Like the mythical Isle of Lesbos, Foodswings calls to me, forcing me to alter my course into the vegan dietary shoals. I hit hard and boy am I aground.
Part of why I am a vegan is of course for my health. There's no doubt in my mind that I feel better, have my weight a tad more under control, provide healthier fuel for my body, leave a smaller carbon footprint and of course, lead a more compassionate life. I do miss some foods. My mind skips a beat when I smell Brother Jimmy's BBQ, wafting down my block, but then a different part of my mind recoils at the thought of what Brother Jimmy's BBQ actually IS. Tons of comfort food were consumed in my life without a thought to where it came from, and tons of anything leaves a lasting culinary memory.
No recoil necessary at Foodswings. This is where you should go when you miss fried chicken, Philly steak sandwiches, Buffalo wings and any other junk/comfort/decadent food from the hinterlife. This is clearly where the word "health" is cleaved from the word "vegan." I say it all the time but just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's healthy. (Healthier ... maybe). When your vegan-ish resolve is tested, take the subway, car, crawl or hijack a cab to Brooklyn. Unless you still live in Brooklyn, (I so miss my homeland), then just walk or bike over. You can fall back to the kale salads and green smoothies tomorrow. Oh, and one last piece of advice ... don't get on the scale for a few days.
Our entrees came out before our apps, so here they are in that order. The Buffalo Burger has the perfect imitation of Buffalo sauce. The roll had a nice mush to bread texture ratio but I did find the burger a bit on the mushier side than I am seeking. Lettuce and tomato and red onion put a wonderful flavor and texture combination together. Not my first choice in burgers as I think more along the lines of mushrooms, sauteed onions, and cheese, (read Daiya Mozzarella), or soy bacon or chili are more to my liking. But I didn't order it. (ha ha).
THE BUFFALO BURGER-Homemade Burger w/ Buffalo Sauce, Bleu Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato &
Red Onion 7.75
Now this is what I ordered, a Philly Cheese Steak. This is hearty comfort food. This is delicious. The bread, perfect crumb and crust with just the right "pull" to rip the sandwich away from it's mother planet, the toothiness of the steak, the crunch of the onions and soft mouthiness of the cheese. If I was on death row I'd have to consider this a last meal option.
PHILLY CHEESE STEAK-Marinated Mock Steak w/ Onions, Mushrooms & Your Choice of Daiya Cheese (American or Mozzarella) or "The Wiz" Served on Italian Bread 8.75
And now for the Chicken Parm. Same bread but now with a fried patty. Satan's seitan and May Wah's cutlets? It's just a soft bread, crunch, smoosh, and a gentle genteel marinara sauce. A touch of sweet tomato. No thoughts of falling off the vegan wagon if this is within reach!
CHICK'N PARMIGIANA-Breaded Mock Chicken Cutlets w/ Daiya Mozzarella Cheese, Covered in
Marinara Sauce, on Italian Bread 8.75
Ah, and now the appetizers. 2 combo plates so we could cover all of the 4 kinds of wings. My favorite was all of them. There are 2 kinds of Mac N Cheese. One with nutritional yeast and the other with Daiya. Get the one with Daiya. The other tastes like it was nutritional yeast in a veggie broth. OK, but not my favorite. Daiya is thicker and cheesy like Mac and Cheese should be. I don't know which pic is which but they both LOOK the same.
The wings below, from left to right, are Southern Fried, Buffalo, and BBQ. The BBQ had a nice caramelization and slight char. They all reminded me of a place I used to live in long ago. (Hi Mom).
BUFFALO STYLE-Breaded, Fried & Then Smothered in Buffalo Sauce Served w/
Foodswings' Bleu Cheese BBQ-Drenched in BBQ Sauce & Fired Up On The Grill SOUTHERN FRIED-Battered & Fried SWEET SOUTHERN FRIED BBQ-Battered, Fried & Then Drenched in a Sweet BBQ Sauce COMBO PLATE-Three Drumsticks w/ Choice of House Salad, Mac n Cheese, Fries, Plantains, or Mashed Potatoes 10.75
From top, Sweet Southern BBQ, Buffalo, and Southern fried.
Of course I can't help myself when I see an empanada. Fried, no less ... or ... fried, of course. I am so able to be tempted. ...1 Previous Review: Show all »

I.LOVE.THIS.PLACE.
This is definitely not a place for you to go if you're watching your caloric intake. This place serves up all your expected greasy spoon favorites with a vegan twist. I usually get their drumsticks (which have a bamboo stick "bone" in the middle... makes it easy to hold while you're eating) and one of their shakes, which is just phenomenal.
I've gone here with non-vegetarian friends, and they were pretty impressed at how good the food was. Prices are decent, though they're cash only (there's an ATM by the entrance). -

After the first bite, i said "Pretty sure this place is going to get 5 stars".
It really is vegan fast food. BBQ burger with fries: check! mint cookie milkshake: check! All vegan: check!
Hard to believe that this little haven of deliciousness is all vegan. But it is. And it is wonderful. I really want to go back soon. It can easily please vegans and non-vegans alike.
The space is nothing special, and its cash only. But that is ok. You can stuff yourself without the guilt. Win win all around. -

cheese.
We tried the chili with Daiya cheese, a slider, creamy Mac n cheese and a chocolate shake. The chili came too cool like it had been sitting too long, but once I broke through the cheese topping, it was nicely spiced and full of beans and seitan.
The shake was delicious, but lacked the coolness that ice cream would bring. -

I definitely need my Vegan junk food fix every now and then and *this* is where I go to get it.
Foodswings has no illusions: they know what the people want and they give it to them. Deep fried.
The day they start taking plastic is the day I set up camp outside their door.Listed in: My Favorite Veg Spots

Now drop it down, and let me see yo' food swing.
This restaurant exceeds the quality of that joke by a long shot. So, I walked into Foodswings and was immediately astounded by the amount of swag I encountered. I'm thinking, damn, this place makes me wanna pop my ass out at the nearest complacent customer and/or douse myself in heavy cream. Alas, I did neither.
As I vegetarian, I found the prospect of a greasyass vegan restaurant with so much swag exciting. Not that I don't love hummus, but a person can only eat so many fresh vegetable sandwiches before becoming anemic. I ordered the Heart Attack Vegan Burger. Suffice it to say that it was good as fuck. The vegan bacon tasted like real bacon, and the fries were krispy with a kaptial K. I will be returning.
4 stars because I'm infatuated with cheese to the point that it occupies at least 63 percent of my thoughts every day. And, for it's popularity, I think there could be a few more seats. -

This stop was part of my NYC Vegan Restaurant Food Engorging Extravaganza.
I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with home fries, and a sprinkle doughnut. It was pleasure overload.
Unbelievable. This place is unreal. -

I'm from Los Angeles where vegan food is synonymous with healthy and organic.
I wish I lived in Brooklyn: I would eat here every day.
I had the buffalo wings- I don't even like spicy food, but the texture of them was so amazing. They were fucking delicious, definitely licking my fingers afterward. I looked crazy, like "how is this so delicious and vegan, damn you Amy's for making all those bland vegan meals" as I basically made love to the buffalo wings.
I also had an order of fries which were also delicious and just the perfect amount of chewy - I don't know a better word for that, just the perfect amount of not crunchy but not so soft that they're mushy. Just delicious fries.
And then. OH AND THEN. I must tell you that this was my first time having a vegan milkshake. I looked at the menu on the board (I love the whole set-up by the way, very cool) and was like "but I'm craving strawberry.. and cookies.. and peanut butter.." and lo and behold there lay TRAINWRECK which contained all three.
I have never tasted anything more delicious in my life. I even gave some to the person next to me because it was so good. I had to leave Brooklyn a few days later, but each day I was thinking to myself "maybe you SHOULD take a taxi from White Plains to Brooklyn to get another Trainwreck..." Like, that good. Like, I keep trying to make wannabe-Trainwrecks at home but nothing can quite compare.
So I will definitely go to Brooklyn again before I die to go here again. Or stay for a week and just get really fat. That would be amazing.
The staff was super nice and helpful, too. Not to mention cute. -

Do you know why I love the fact that this place isn't anywhere near where I live?! Because if it was I'd be a motherfucking fat kid! That's right, fat!
Lately I've had the biggest cravings for vegan hot dogs and I dragged my friends over here so my fat ass can have two hot dogs with relish and smothered in ketchup. I won't lie, VERY close to an orgasm... Not to mention that their fries beat Burger King fries (granted I had BK fries like 6 years ago but I do remember them being pretty freaking good).
They are friendly, they are delicious, and they are ALL FUCKING VEGAN! I don't have to ask a million questions, just order and shove my face into my plate and go to town on my vegan feast. My god I am drooling.
I HIGHLY recommend Foodswings if you are a closet fatkid just like I am. -

Not healthy at all, but not to be missed! I'm a big fan of the drumsticks (buffalo and bbq) with fried plantains. Chipotle cheese fries are top notch, too. Even the milkshakes rule!
This is the fix for vegan/veg junk foodies. -

Vegan fast food. It is indeed fast, greasy but it's also delicious. And of course, cruelty-free!
The buffalo wings are the best I've ever had anywhere, meat or not. Seriously phenomenal stuff. Foodswings mainly features the sort of cuisine that's rarely available without meat or any other animal products--mainly, it's bad for you. But, oh so worth it. I'll definitely make it a usual stop whenever I'm in Brooklyn.
Cash only.
