Review from Tracie F.
Folsom Outlets is a great place to find some really good deals! This "mall" basically has all the "regular" outlet stores... Guess, Vans, Bebe, BCBG, Coach, etc. There is really nothing unique about the selection...pretty standard outlet stores. There is a nice variety though to keep all in our group happy shoppers. Parking is pretty easy. We went the day after Christmas and although we had to drive around a few times, we were able to find a space in a great location.
The area is clean and bathrooms are well maintained. They have food for the poor men that are left to sit and wait while their ladies get their shop on. All in all I would say this place is a "go". Happy shopping! -
Review from Darren M.
Sacramento, CA
Never really understood why ANY of the outlets are "premium" very few of any outlet location I visit has truly premium stores. Save for maybe one or two overpriced Folsom rich folk type of crap like Coach, or perhaps club girl whore type like bcbg, or the like.
I go here for the Vans outlet (one of the better van's outlets), the Converse outlet, Zumiez, and maybe a few others.
Parking is EASY they have spread out lots with normal sized speed bumps (unless you try to drive through the middle of the outlets, BIG no no for lowered cars) lots of security patroling the parking lots as well.
Oh Pac Sun is another outlet I frequent, LOVE Levi's but their selection of levi's isn;t THAT great and their prices are much more than you will find with even the WEAKEST Macy's sale. BOO. -
Review from Alex L.
If you're looking for a place to take care of a whole bunch of shopping needs at once, look no further. Here you'll find numerous respectable name brand outlets featuring a selection equal or better to the actual stores in real malls. Why visit some catastrophe like the Arden Fair Mall when you can come here and get the same stuff for half the price?
The layout is spread out and confusing, but once you learn your way around the selection can't be beat. Stores like the Gap, Eddie Bauer, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Coach and Lids are found here. Parking is a bitch, so factor in a good half hour during the holiday season just to find a spot!Listed in: Outlet Stores

Review from Jason G.
Prices aren't that good for a outlet mall and it seems like the selection of stores is worse than a few years back.

Review from Wendy T.
MUCH larger than I had expected.. They seem to have a great variety of stores! Unfortunately, I didn't come to spend money---Just to check out this place! I could totally see myself spending a day here shopping. :)

Review from Melody T.
This outlet is not really worth going to, if you're in "that area" you might as well make the trek to Vacaville outlets where it's much nicer and has 5x the # of stores, including Jcrew.
This place was just depressing. Best part of it was the McDonalds was clean and food came out fast...hit the spot after a day of rafting. -

You really need more than a day to get around this place. I got a little frustrated. This place is a little too big for me. Don't get me wrong, I like outlet shopping. I am just used to a more manageable smaller place. I am sure if I took some time to map it out the experience would have been better.

Review from Cindy K.
I don't really like this outlet. The store layout is not ideal. I feel like I'm doing more walking than shopping. There aren't many stores or great deals. I'd much rather go to the Vacaville outlets.
Stores I like are Banana Republic, Gap, and Coach. -

El Dorado, CA
Great place to grab an ok deal here or there.
- the location is great, just off highway 50 at Folsom blvd.
- the ok deals are some of the prices are just about the special discount norm as any mall if you look for good deals at the regular mall.
- maybe i am not seeing all the good deals as other are, but i mainly shop for computer or technology stuff , main great deals i see there are shoes. (but im a dude, so im gonna have only 5 main pairs of shoes- including sandals). -
Review from Kinga H.
I was not thoroughly impressed with these outlets although by my wallet and numerous shopping bags you could have made a different assumption.
Ugly buildings. Poor layout. Definitely lacks the liveliness one expects from a shopping center.
The Saks Fifth was one of the smallest I've ever seen anywhere. The Coach outlet was amazing however, great layout, great selection, great staff. BCBG had some lovely options as well.
My recommendations: BCBG, Coach, DKNY, Guess, Nine West, and Zumies. -

I happen to really like this outlet center. The BIGGEST plus about Folsom Outlets versus Gilroy or Vacaville is that you only have to park once!
The outlets are not spread out all over the place so you can park and walk all over. It is always very clean here, we have never had to worry about it being dirty or not well maintained.
Some of my favorite stores here at: Gap, Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole, Saks Off the 5th, Gymboree, Nautica, Gap Kids, Children's Place. They also have a TCBY for a cool snack on hot summer days... All in all a good place to shop. -
Review from Sarah d.
Sunnyvale, CA
The only stores worth looking at are Saks 5th and Banana Republic.
When we last went here, they had HUGE sales and savings in the BR outlet, so we splurged on work attire. As far as Saks, I was so thrilled to see some Kate Spade items. I literally squealed when I saw the KS logo. Shoes to be exact! I was bummed that they didn't carry any of her purses, but then again, you can hardly find her bags at outlet stores... so I'm not complaining.
Don't try coming here when the Sacramento area is above 100+ weather. Seriously, it's unbearable walking around in that kind of heat. Try going earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds and the heat of the summertime. -
Review from Brad H.
This outlet mall has a limited selection of stores and they tend to be smaller than I've seen elsewhere, but its good for Sacramento.
A lot of people will head to the Off 5th store which is a good option since there is no Saks 5th Avenue in the Sacramento area. This store has a good selection of name brand merchandise and the prices are decent.
The Coach outlet is small but if you like Coach bags it's a good place to look.
The Banana Republic outlet is one of the better ones and for some reason they sell men's sportcoats and suit jackets in Long sizes, which they never do in their mall stores.
The Levi's Outlet actually has a decent selection and seems to carry regular Levi's merchandise.
The Gap, Izod and Bass outlets carry clothing specifically made for the outlet locations.
For me, the main reason I ever go to this location are the Nike and the Brooks Brothers outlets. The Brooks Brothers outlet mostly carries "346" label merchandise which is cheaper quality clothing specifically made for the outlet and really not worthy of much consideration. However, if you search you can sometimes find clothing with the "Brooks Brothers Makers" label and those finds make it worth visiting the store.
Finally, the Nike outlet is one of the smallest I have ever seen, but it serves its purpose when you need basic athletic items and don't want to drive all the way to Niketown in the city.
There's also a bookstore where the average price of a hardcover is $5.99 and they have a decent selection if you just want to browse for reading material to pass the time.
Overall the Folsom Premium Outlets are worth a visit once in a while. -

El Dorado Hills, CA
Outlets to me has gone down hill and to be honest ghetto. Not really a fan of going here just because of the shops that are in the outlets and how people feel the need to pressure you in up selling and stuff! I feel that the outlets are a (Ross/Marshall's) of other malls. Id rather drive 25 minutes to Galleria and be indoors and more Shopping! Keep :)ing

Nice place to shop on the weekends .

Review from Lori I.
Great selection of stores, but kind of confusing layout. I power shopped and was in and out in 2 hours and hit most of the places I wanted to go to. I'm sure I could have stayed longer. Since I don't get to go to outlets much, this was great.
For kids stuff: Gymboree, Carters, Osh Kosh, The Children's Place, Gap Kids, Stride Rite (shoes)
For women: Coach, Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, Nike, Nine West, Off 5th, Jockey.
I saw a few food places but they were mostly sweets (yogurt, chocolate) so don't come here on an empty stomach. -
Review from Melanie E.
Elk Grove, CA
I love this place but I hate how I can go one week and a shop is there then the next month its gone. No more toys-r-us and not more giaradeli shop (sp). You can always find great deals for the kids at Baby Gap and Carters! Bathrooms are always pretty clean and plentiful.
Food court is not that great, Taco Bell is OK but Im not a big fan of the other 3 places.
What the heck happened to the Merlinos cart?! Please bring it back!
update.... 5/17/11
Just went again last weekened and Merlinos is back! Yay! Its in front of Levi's outlet. -
Review from Evil M.
Fresno, CA
Evil recently loaded the whole evil tribe in the Evil Truckster for a cross-country trip.
In addition to driving every single winding, narrow, twisting mountainous road between Fresno and Nevada, we made a pit stop at the Folsom Premium Outlets.
In addition to many fine retail establishments, Evil was struck with the wide diversity of the Outlets' patrons. Evil saw sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads... they all were represented. In fact, one of the dickheads tried to make a play for a member of the Evil tribe...and Evil had to run his ass off!
Oh yeah...the shopping was great. Go Outlets!! -
Review from Ha T.
Unlike the HUGE Vacaville Outlets, you can park at one spot and walk around the whole outlet without having to repark. Although there aren't as many stores, you have your basic Coach Outlet, BR, Gap, Nike, CK, DKNY, Jocky, Off 5th, Vans, Converse, Skechers, Kenneth Cole, Naturalizer, etc. I hear the best time for deals is Memorial Day Weekend.

Review from Kristine D.
Mountain View, CA
Sure it is an odd hodge podge of stores for an outlet ---- Vans, Children's Place, Gymboree, Toys R Us Express, some chocolatier whose name I can't remember and more --- but, if you are willing to look and treat your shopping adventure more like a treasure hunt, you will find gems among the piles of marked down crap.
Every time I've visited the place is packed and difficult to drive in or out of --- I'm not sure why this is the case, I'm pretty sure there are better things to do in Folsom than hang here! -

San Jose, CA
Our usual pit stop when driving back from Tahoe. It helps when you have a little one that needs a break from a long car ride. They have a huge selection of brand names.
Some of my favorite stores include, Banana Republic, GAP, Saks 5th, Quiksilver, and all of the kid stores like Carter's, Gymboree, and even a Baby GAP. It's the best when they have huge sales with additional 50%. Not a lot of people shop here, so you get good selection. -
Review from Andrea B.
Large variety of high end and cheaper outlet stores with a lot of parking and room to walk. The layout can be sort of confusing, but that's what maps are for.
Good place to walk with your mom and get jelly belly, caramel apples, bose headphones, some farberware, trendy hipster clothes for young upstarts, and pretzels.
The food court is really lame, though. -

We stopped off at the outlets on our way home from the Reno/Tahoe area and it was a nice break from the drive. Walked around the outlets and didnt really buy anything but I have to say this is a pretty nice outlet.
This outlet has all your major name brand retailers. Parking was easy and the outlet was laid out well. -
Review from Jess s.
One of the better outlet's I've been too. But it's not as big as the vacaville ones. There's a variety of stores here with a bit of a weird layout (there's 3 sections which are all interconnected). Being that it was Veteran's day there were plenty of people outlet shopping. The good thing thought was that there were barely any lines at checkout. PROPS FOR THAT!
I like how they had off 5th and nike, but i wish they could've had a few more stores. -

The deals here aren't really that great and I only come here for a handful of stores.

Review from Drue C.
San Francisco, CA
Not as many options as other outlet malls. As a result not as many shoppers. As a result I generally do not buy more than a few things after going into every store of interest, which can be done in a few hours. As a result the markdowns at the stores they do have are pretty phenomenal.
I got a professional outfit for all of those interviews I am not actually getting, a nice leather belt, a cute nightgown and a pair of awesome suede boots all for around $100 this last time I went. You can't beat that when you are jobless and still need money left over for happy hour. -
Review from amy t.
Dublin, CA
This review is probably biased, because I'm sure there are times to visit the outlets and they aren't having any truly good deals, but my Best Friend and I both got STEALS at the BCBG outlet. She got a blazer for $25 and I got a pair of trouser shorts for $15 (items are already 50% off with an additional 50%, plus that day they had an additional 15% on top of that). Puma was also having a 50% off sale and I got some WAY cute slip on pumas for $25.
There is a decent selection of stores including Puma and BCBG (OBVIOUSLY :oP), Off 5th (I'm never paying full price for my 7 for all mankind jeans again...), Fossil, Le Gourmet Chef, Kitchen Concepts (or something along those lines), bebe, Calvin Klein, Nine West, Aerosoles, Harry and David (although, their idea of outlet prices is pretty glum...oooh $2 off a $25 bag of candy) and I don't remember what else.
The only complaint I have is that this outlet mall is kind of sprawled out in different directions and it makes it difficult to have an 'orderly' method of getting to all of the stores....
I'd go back and shop here again. Definitely.Listed in: Retail Therapy

Folsom Premium Outlets is not as big as the one in Vacaville, but they have a handful of stores which rate 5 stars:
KASPER OUTLET: My wife buys nearly ALL of her business suits and outfits from this place. She looks like a million bucks, but she spends about 25 cents on the dollar for designer fashions. One of the reasons she does well at Kasper is her small size (2 or 4) which means that most of the time, they'll have exactly what she wants or needs
NINE WEST OUTLET: Wifey loves her pointy shoes......and this is where she buys them!
EDDIE BAUER OUTLET: This is where I buy the sweaters and jeans when they have the 60 percent off sale
KENNETH COLE: My wife just bought a purse today for $110.....The same purse costs $300 at Nordstroms. -
Review from Khen R.
When ever I go to Folsom, I have to make sure to stop here. Weekends can be a bit crowded so I opt for slower week days and go during the evening. My favorite store (Kenneth Cole) is right on the corner next to the parking lot so it's easy in/out.

Folsom, CA
Pretty disappointed with their store selection but overall I've found a few good deals here. I will keep coming back as long as it's convenient but if I move out of the area, I won't go out of my way to hit it up on a weekend.

Hercules, CA
This place is so nice and cute. It beats all the outlets close to the bay. Yeah they have about the same stores and its further, but this one looks and feels like an outdoor mall. Stores are centralized so that parking is on the outsides. You don't have to move your call multiple times to get to the store you want. It's a shopping center, and not all shopping centers have the stores you want. So before you come out her it wouldn't hurt to check online to see what stores they do and don't have. If you just want a day out just because I would highly recommend coming here. If your disappointed, then you can stop at Vacaville and get what you want.

Review from Tiffany K.
Sacramento, CA
This place is great for kids clothing & shoes. I usually find some pretty cool deals at Carter's, The Children's Store and Osh Gosh. But, you have to be there at the right time! I kind of just peek in quickly and see if there is a sale to be had.
I have been here so many times, that I know the layout of this place. I know the shortcuts, where the bathrooms are and the best place to park! But I can understand how others would think it's like a maze. The first time I came here, I got turned around.
I love the Lancome outlet. Sometimes I hit it right when they have their 5 items for $15! I stock up and do some gift shopping then. I really like that store. The staff know me, pretty scary.
I check out Bebe too and then realize after spending 30 minutes in there trying on stuff that I am just too old for that! I never learn my lesson. I don't have the stick figure I had in my 20's.
Off 5th is fun - I usually buy stuff at their clearance sales. I'm not a labelly type of person, more a "I'll buy it if I like it". So finding something I like and it just happens to have a name brand is a plus.
I agree that the food court needs some work. I went to the nearby Appleby's, I won't go there again. Dingy, the food wasn't good and the service was lacklustre. But hey, back to the outlets.
Being outdoors is a plus. I can't stand shopping in an enclosed artificial environment. And the fact you have to do some serious walking to get to the stores makes me feel good: you can go shopping and get a brisk walk in! Spend money and exercise at the same time! -
Review from Naida E.
My family has shopped here twice and both times taken advantage of the failing book store and it's big sale. My husband purchased a huge Prince book and audio books all for under $5 a pop. We also recently bought my son a Volcom suit for $99 at the Volcom store. I do enjoy the close parking and walkability of this mall, but find the dining options sparse. We ate at a pizza place that reviewed well, but was pathetic. T

This place is very quite... not too many shoppers.
I've passed by this place many times and finally stopped by. I didn't care too much about majority of the stores. I'd rather shop at Vacaville. Hopefully Folsom will add more stores. -
Review from Silviu N.
Houston, TX
Only stores worth checking out: The 'NEW' Jelly Belly store and Nike!
For an outlet, the stuff here is very expensive! And you have to walk in the outdoors. While some people like this, personally when I get out of the house, I'd like to be somewhere indoors with AC and out of the elements - yes there's times when it's too cold or too hot outside in Folsom, CA! -
Review from Michelle Denise P.
San Jose, CA
As an outlet center, ehh not so great.
Especially when you compare this location to Gilroy and Vacaville.
I only come to these outlets for 3 stores.
Gap, Rue21, and Coach.
Great for me because all 3 stores are in the same area of the outlet mall :D
There are some other stores that I might visit at times, like PacSun and Guess, but other than that, there isn't much selection at this outlet location.
I do like the fact that the outlets open at midnight on black friday. I went this past year, and it was pretty damn crowded. If you want to go shopping and don't want be in the rush, I suggest going around 3 or 4am, that's when the rush pretty much dies down. -

I am always amazed at the great deals they have at each of the shops. A lot of the items are 50% off or more than original pricing.
-
Review from Darina H.
I've only come to the Folsom Premium Outlets for a few stores: Nine West, Off Saks and Coach. The parking can get tough later in the day (i.e anytime between 12 PM and 3 PM) so get here a bit earlier like 10:30 AM. Some of the stores aren't even worth going into such as RUE21 (*just go to Forever21 at the mall, you'll find better things). Other stores just depends on their sales and item selections. I prefer Vacaville Outlets because it feels more like an outlet as opposed to an outdoor discounted mall. Vacaville Outlets have more name brand items.

Review from Shirley P.
San Francisco, CA
At first, I was not impressed. The layout is a bit odd- from the parking lot you're facing the back of all the stores. The stores turned out to be pretty decent and I ended up purchasing a little more then I expected at Banana Republic, the two BCBG stores (yesss), Off 5th (Saks), and 2b Bebe. I'd probably stop by again going to and from Tahoe.
