I really don't understand the whole greasy complaint because I was amazed at how clean my pie came. Usually I'm dabbing away at the oceans of grease , but Focaccino gave me no problem. The chicken pizza was a little too spiced for my taste ( oddly my mother thought it to be bland) and though I appreciate the effort I did not like the fact that they put onions in the pizza sauce. Not everyone likes onions especially not my boyfriend who refused to eat it. So that's where one star went.. the other was for asking me what my security code on my debit card was for my order. WTF?!
The Jasmine tea drink was pretty darn tasty though! I would love to have it on a hot brooklyn day . All and all , I wouldn't flip to get the pizza, but given the range of healthy ( carb heavy) options I'd give'um another shot.

Focaccio left a delivery menu on the stoop of the brownstone where I live during a rain storm. They're aren't many quality restaurants that deliver to Bed-Stuy, so with the cupboards empty I decided to give them a spin. I ordered a personal size House Focaccia w/ a side of black olive pesto & the Mediterranean Salad. The staff providing phone and delivery service were polite & charming and the delivery was fast. The focaccia & salad were both excellent -- super fresh and tasty. I ate only half of each and felt full in a healthy, satisfied way. Looking forward to dropping in and trying out their espresso & fruit drinks in the near future.
The tahini sandwich was a little more loaded with fresh ingredients than spice/flavor if that maks any sense (?!); tasty at any rate, and on hardy wheat bread. Sparse white decor and spacey downtempo music made me a bit nostalgic for the 90's, as usual.
This place has saved me on numerous occasions when I've been traipsing around the Bedford end of the neighborhood for work. The salads were fresh and the pizza was decent. I've also heard that they now deliver to the Bushwick side of Bed-Stuy...

the food here is absolutely terrible. the place LOOKS like an oasis on an otherwise bland section of Bedford Avenue, but it's freakin weird and the food sucks. don't go.

Love the salads and sandwiches here. The pizza isn't as good as it was when they first opened.
May 12th update: I'm assuming this place is closed now, as It hasn't been open in several weeks. It's quite a shame as it was one of the only places to get healthy-ish food quickly in the neighborhood.

There are not many new restaurants in this area, but this one does a good job in adding to the anglofication of Bed-Sty--for better or worse.
I can't speak for the in-restaurant service, but the delivery service is of high quality with courteous (young and charming) staff.
One time they delivered the wrong item, and they quickly apologized and took care of the problem delivering the right item.
The food here is fantastic (probably the best Pizza that we've had in Brooklyn--they use fresh mushrooms instead of from the can!) and we'll be coming back frequently (until the quality wanes).

I eat there alot mainly because the food they serve is non-greasy. They seem to be big on grilling....most of the menu choices are offered grilled. Their food is good and it's healthy. So far, everything I've tried is grease-less and that's a big thing in my book. Delivery is great. The iced fruit drinks are really good. I would recommend this place to anyone because they serve food which is healthy for you. No Grease.

Horrible. Thats it. Ive ordered twice from them and the only thing that was good was the fast delivery. Thats it. I ordered the sundried tomato foccacia and it had about 6 or 7 slivers of sundried tomatoes on it. Thats it. It was totally overcooked and dry.
The sandwiches are OK - a bit messy and chinsy on the toppings, but overall OK. I swore I would never order from them again.

This is the thing -- it's a very new place, and the service sucked when I was there. On the other hand, the food was AWESOME -- I had the Grilled Turkey Flatbread Sandwich with avocado, peppers, and cheddar -- and the owner was super sorry -- he insisted on buying me another lemonade (oh yeah, and they have homemade lemonade).
As a graphic designer, the visual aesthetic of the place is a nightmare. They've tried to combine modern concrete-steel-plexiglass with over done photoshop graphics ... and the logo is EVERYWHERE -- bleck. The space was a little dirty too -- maybe they shouldnt have painted the walls white.

I've been staying on the border of Bedstuy and Crown Heights, for a little over a month now, and I have to say, pickings is slim for eats around these parts (unless you're really big on Pineapple soda and greeezy Chinese sold from behind bulletproof glass- in which case, boy howdy, is this 'hood for you) An interweb search turned up Focaccino on Bedford. While I can tell that they're new to the game, the girl on the phone was helpful if not a little confused (she hadn't heard of my street.)
I ordered a pizza with sesame dough, roast peppers, and black olives. It arrived in a timely fashion and the delivery guy was super sweet. Those guys ride bikes instead of driving, and my place was just slightly out of their delivery range. He said I could always ask for him if they ever gave me any trouble in the future about delivering. It was rainy out too, poor dear (Yes yes, I know what you're thinking, of course I tipped the man well!) The pizza was just as good as I had hoped it would be, the dough nice and sesame-y without being overpowering, and roast peppers being just about the best idea ever to add to a pizza. My room mate/dear friend Anne and I were delighted. Perusing the menu the delivery guy gave us we can see that it's a very veggie friendly place, which is great for Anne and her boyfriend as they no-eat-a the meat. For those who do eat-a-the-meat you can add meat to just about any menu item. I want to try their salad with green tahini dressing. Sounds rad. I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices are incredibly decent too.
