Fly Scooters is pretty neat... they don't sell motorcycles... sorry for the wrong category but they didn't have "scooter/motor scooter fixing/selling/etc and parts."

This location is very prompt with their shipments and good with pricing. They have distributors all around the country though... I bought mine used (Cadenza 08) but when I needed the lock-box and helmet or a new side mirror (because I dropped my bike twice... opps!) they sent them to me.

But if you can find a dealer near you (there was one near me in Glendale... I'm in LA) you can get it faster. The dealer I went to... was slow with getting me the helmet size I wanted so I got it here. So I e-mailed one of the addresses on the site... and yay I got my helmet PLUS it was the same color as my scooter. AWESOME.

I really like the scooter I got. It was red... I didn't have to deal with bad parking in LA or traffic. OH and when gas is 3.99 a gallon I use 2-4 bucks... and I can make that last a week! The savings are mind boggling. The prices range for the scooter but if you go to a distributor you can get a warrenty... and some other technical stuff.

I did some research before I bought and this company isn't a Vespa (which run for 4000-5000) but for 1000-2500 you can get a new bike with all the trimmings in some flippin sweet colors. They are a higher end of chinese made scooters. The owners of the company fly back and forth between US and China to make sure the quality is good.

The Cadenza I like because it is bigger then the other models they have but I see a lot of the other models... they are a more European look and mine was like ROBO COP status.

Thats it, get a scooter. SAVE THE WORLD. Intense huh? :)

I was so excited about getting my scooter after being reassured by Ti B that it was easy and fun to ride.  However I'm glad the plan was for it to be delivered instead of me picking it up and riding it home.  I can barely ride it around the block!

Leon from http://Flyscooters.com brought me the shiny scooter and I greeted it  with "Hello Gorgeous."  An acquaintance of mine was riding by and helped Leon get the scooter down from the truck.  Once Leon got the bike started he asked to me go ahead and ride it.

    Whaaaat?  I needed lessons.

The last thing I wanted was to end up in the tomato garden down the street.  Leon hopped on and I climbed on behind him.  We zoomed around the neighborhood, both of us yelling and laughing at each other the whole time. I was afraid of falling off and was having so much fun, that I was squeezing him too tight.

He yelled.. "Stop turning my body!"
I yelled back..."You told me to hold on tight!"

I screamed in fright as he neared Anaheim Ave during drive time. "Aaaah,  don't go that way, there is too much traffic!"

I  watched what he did with his wrists and the handle bars.  He explained stuff and gave me tips. Once back at the crib he told me to ride by myself.   I was still not comfortable riding it by myself so I had my friend to climb on behind me and I rode him around the block.   I was wobbling and he was yelling...

"Give it some gas!  Ok...let go of the gas, slow down, brake.  Put your feet down.  Ok...give it some gas...put your feet up!"   I yelled back..."You're too big, I'm losing balance!"

What a spectacle we must have been as folks hanging outside enjoying the summer afternoon were staring in amusement. I waved and hollered "Heeey" at strangers.  A friend passed by in her car squealing "Go Cidne!"   I finally got it home before narrowly missing a parked car.  Before I put it in the garage, Leon made some idling adjustments to it and showed me some things about changing the oil and suggested I get a charger for it, etc and gave me the owner's manual.  Cool.

I put it up and it dawned on me that I didn't have any papers on the scooter.  When I walked in and bought my car, I left with a whole  slew of paperwork to prove I bought it.  Not the case here.  I asked Leon about ownership paperwork and he said he'd mail it.

Ok...so it sits in the garage until I get papers.  Otherwise, please tell me what I should tell the cops who stop my dark and lovely ass on a bright red scooter....with NO paperwork...in the hood.    That I won it?   Yeah....right.

I'll wait until I can pass "GO" without going directly to jail.

Oh FLYSCOOTERS, how you have dangled a mighty carrot in front of my already curious nose!

So my good friend Ti announced that she got a scooter a few months back and my first reaction (internally of course) was "Woman, are you nuts!!" Outwardly of course I said, "No way, that's awesome!!" She went on and on and on and on about how "cute" this thing was and honestly, I had never really classified scooters as...cute.

Then one day she came out to meet me and brought her new ride and like a little kid at Xmas wouldn't stop bugging or even let me finish my drink until I came out and looked at her "cute" scooter. I then walked out of the bar and there it was. And it was, by far, the CUTEST FRIGGIN SCOOTER I had ever seen!

It was a supa styling vintage-esque 2007 IL Bello ride with a ton of chrome and one sweet white paint job. This wasn't a "scooter," this was a rockin ride and I was officially jealous!

Now I am pretty scaredy catty about the idea of being exposed on the road with any and all of my surroundings being able to either crash into me, make me swerve or i dunno, make me eat shit, but there was something about this scooter that kick started a new line of thinking for me and I do believe it was the missing piece to the next chapter of my life.

    Allow me to explain...

I live in the Valley. I grew up here, but lived in the 323 for many many years and then because of love moved back over here and when love went away I still stayed here because I had put a ton of work into my place and it's cute and in a safe neighborhood.

But over the years, the pangs of missing the oh so awesome east side have been tugging away at me and each and every week when I am driving back over the hill a good 6 nights a week, I keep dreaming of living back over there again and when I get home, as cool as my place is, I just get, well, I get really sad.

Well, after I saw that scooter, I suddenly started picturing myself cruising down to Trader Joe's on Hyperion, or zipping over to the post office or vrooming over to brunch at Home on Hillhurst and meeting friends for tasty treats. Not in my car, mind you, but on a cute little burgundy scooter with all the sexy chrome to boot. Yep, this image has made my decision and it is time to go east young girl.

Now I just have to find a place with a garage so I can keep my future awesome ride protected, but oh yes, it will be mine. The whole package will be mine! :)

Thanks Fly for making me see the light! Also, the guys to talk to here are Daniel and Leon! Tell em, YELP sent ya!! :)

Ooooooh, LA YELP SCOOTER GANG!! Who's in!!!

So this is a re-post...I felt the need to write a review about Flyscooters and this must suffice.  I love my IL Bello, but it ain't perfect.  Unfortunately.  :(  I had some issues with it, but over all....it is still kick ass.  More to come later.

This day ruled!  It was a Monday and I woke up feelin a little sick.  So I called into work...and just laid in bed all day.  After being restless and feeling like my life was wasting away...I decided to take a very very long walk to Atwater Village Kaldi Coffee shop.  On my way, in my red dress and white belt, a small little store shop owner stopped me and said, "hey there...you wanna buy a scooter?"  I looked at the scooters and low and behold saw an amazing site.  A beautiful white Italian vintage inspired design: IL Bello.

So I said, "yes."  I inquired on model and make, and year...then said I will do research at the coffee shop on my lap top...if all looks good, I will buy one on my way back.  So I checked out the make at http://www.flyscooters....  I fell in LOVE!  I called Nelson at scooter world and said, "i am coming to buy a scooter."

I walked back, and for the first time Nelson gave me scooter lessons.  I rode around the alley and tried it out.  I was sooooo afraid!!  After riding around a bit he wanted me to practice going in circles...haha!!  This is awesome.  I have the worst balance.  For some reason I got target fixation...or is it called focal fixation (where you focus on something and can't pull away from it.)  So I focused on an iron fence and started to speed up.........and then I freaked out and cut the handle bars left and bit it.  I still have the bruise.

I got off the scooter and looked at Nelson with a scare expression, "I don't think I want one."  He assured me I will get better in a couple days.  Well, he was right.  I purchased one on the spot!!  I love my scooter.  I just recently got my 2007 IL Bello registered and insured.  I am a scooter owner folks.

The next day I was like, why did I buy a scooter, what is the occasion...then I got ROTD!  So I called Maral A and said, "hey, I got ROTD!!!  I celebrated yesterday and bought a scooter!!"  She was like, "I like how you justify it."  hehe

I have returned to hang out with the guys at Scooter World.  They are awesome and accomodating.  I got a helmet to match and great service.  Nelson and Edgar are FANTABULOUS!!  Super great guys.

I get stopped all the time by everyone complimenting me on my scooter.  It is super cool looking with motocycle handle bars.  Just yesterday a super hot guy said, "that scooter really suits you."  Why thank you hottie hottie!!  hehe.

I adore my IL Bello, I ride it everywhere, to meet Luci G, to the Alove, to brunch, to work, to friends house, thru Forest Lawn, and to Trader Joes.  I am such a happy happy camper!!!!!  Yay!!!

Love my scooter. And so does anyone else who sets eyes on this thing.

I've taken it  just over 2,500 miles now. Saving the world, saving money, meeting great people on my scoot and looking ultra cute in my matching pink helmet!

Leon and Daniel are great guys. They're trying to do the right thing in a world where cutting corners is the norm. You can be sure they will take care of you from answering silly questions about changing gear oil, to getting you replacement parts if you ever need it.

They're continuously improving so be ready to see a lot more of this brand. I'm proud to ride a Flyscooter!

from the moment i started considering buying a flyscooter [after seeing a used one listed for sale on craigslist] leon and friends have been so helpful.  their website was being updated when i tried to browse so leon sent me detailed information on scooters that might fit my needs.  as a first time scooter buyer, i had a load of questions and he answered every single one with the utmost in patience and knowledge.

i've had so much fun riding around los angeles on my new white il bello and since the price at the tank has skyrocketed, i'm happy there too!  so much fun that i've ridden 700 miles in three months.

people stop me all the time to ask questions about it and i'm glad to spread the word.

oh, and the instructional videos on you tube are wonderful tools to knowing how your bike works and how to give it the care it needs.

when i think about how much more money i would have spent on a vespa and how little attention and care i'd have gotten from them, i really feel like i won this round!

I love these guys.  They are thorough and friendly and have such a beautiful product.   My new pink scooter"s name is piglet.
Who knew environmentally  friendly could be so fun!
I am a 46 year old Mom with a midlife crisis that helps the world,  is cute and sexy and so much fun.
If you want to buy a scooter you should DEFINITELY check these guys out first.
The Delivery was awesome because they all rallied  up to my home with my kids running after them and  it was a moment to remember.

I recently had the oppty to work for Flyscooters headquarters on a catalogue shoot in SF. What really impressed me most about this business is the staff. Every location we were approached by people about the scooters eye catching colors and styles. Mindy, Jose, and Daniel were so friendly and approachable. They patiently answered all questions and interest about the scooters, even after a 10 hour shoot! FS is willing to assit and give advice anyway they can about making your scooter purchase based on your lifestyle and interests. They will also direct you to a local dealer.  I fell completely in love with the IL Bello vintage black and white scooter. I love this scooter for trekking around the city. It is chic, compact and easy to park.

I don't normally write reviews but...this time I had to.  I have the Cadenza (for about three months) and I just freaking LOVE it.

I am in school out here and parking is just a huge pain so I had been looking around for something for about a month when I saw the Cadenza.   I test drove it and it was def. the scooter for me.  One of the things I was actually kind of worried about was the fact that at 6 ft 4 I would like an idiot on ANY scooter-wrong.  In fact, probably every couple of days or so someone compliments me and asks me what it is and if I like it, if it gets good gas mileage (which it does), helps in traffic etc etc...Def. an eye catcher.

I like too, since I am 250 pounds, that there is ample power to get me where I need to go and do so quickly.

At any rate, having looked at a lot of Chinese built scooters I can say with confidence that this is a quality product (which, with a lot of Chinese scooters, is sometimes a problem).  I frequently park next to 150cc people movers and...well...the cadenza is much better.

The reaction from a guy driving a 150cc People mover who I parked to yesterday, and ended up talking to, finding out that his scoot was a grand more than mine was...shock, quickly followed by a bit of remorse.

So, if you are thinking of going with FLY do so.  This is the first scooter I have ever bought (prev. just drove motorcycles) and I am stoked.  Incidentally, the reason I am even writing this is because when I was looking I found few comments as the company is so new.

    Good luck
