One of Flying Fish Grill's Favorite Reviews What's This?
Thank you Yelpers for another great recommendation.
We made it out to Half Moon Bay yesterday and had lunch at the Flying Fish. My wide had the fish and chips and I had one fish taco and one Mahi Mahi taco. My wife's fish and chips were EXCELLENT. One of the best I have ever tried. Great "fresh" flaky fish, crispy batter, not greasy at all, and the fries were nice and crispy. My fish taco, which is basically the same fish in the fish and chips, was very good too. But, that Mahi taco...OMG, probably THE BEST fish taco I've ever had. The Mahi is grilled and works very well with the mango salsa. It was so good that I ordered another one. I could have eaten 10 of those! We kept an eye on the dishes other tables ordered and everything looked great.
This ambiance is relaxed and typical beach shack type of place. Show up in your shorts and flip flops and you'll be right at home. On a great day like yesterday, sitting outside in the patio, drinking a cold beer, and eating the delicious food was quite a treat.
I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes but I know that'll be hard for me not to order the Mahi taco again
I was here a few months back and I enjoyed it.... my friends on the other hand... wait.... 1 friend.. did not like it. I ordered the Fish Tacos and I thought they were very good.. a tad too much guacamole, would have preferred it on the side, but oh well. The service and staff were fast and friendly.... and the overall vibe was cool....and the sun was shining... and the food was tasty!!
Hope this helps you Yelpers out there!
More Tuna? Yes three meals in a row. Does that mean I am a whale or shark?
We went to HMB and found ourselves hungry after sitting in all that Pumpkin Festival traffic. We debated between Flying Fish Grill and Ketch Joanne. We couldn't find Joanne's so we went to the Flying Fish. Best decision of the day.
We sat outside as it was a beautiful fall day. I ordered the Seared Tuna Salad and my friend ordered the Fish and Chips.
He debated on getting two, three, or four fish. Thankfully I convinced him to only order two. These thing when they came were huge! The batter was crispy and the fish light and buttery. Oh yeah....Sweet Potato Fries and Calamari. the Fries were most excellent...crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The portion of tuna on the salad
was quite generous but perfectly seared. Melted in my mouth.
I am so happy that we chose the Flying Fish Grill. They have lots of choices, wraps, salads, fish and chips, calamari, salmon, prawn, and shrimp tacos...how do you pick just one? I can't wait to go back and try other items...but I won't do it in October.

The Flying Fish is a cute lil fish shack like restaurant on the cornerish of 92 and hwy 1. It's painted with bright colors and has a friendly atmosphere. We didn't really know the order though so we walked up to a window and ordered (signage could be more clear - it's really misleading actually) and then ate our food from to-go containers. lol Oh well.
Everything was tasty. My grilled fish was well prepared and my guy's shrimp was delish! Even the rice was tasty. Coleslaw was average-good.
Prices were reasonable but the girl at the to-go counter seemed a lil... slow? She (and all the other staff) seemed extremely young and kept saying 'huh'... 'what'? Maybe she was new... or maybe just temp help since we were there during the Pumpkin Festival.
All-in-all, I'd stop back in and/or go there occasionally if I lived close.
I had the worst time here out of all the restaurants I've been in. First, I asked to use their restroom and when I came out there was an older white waitress there that said "who the hell is that guy" referring to me. I guest they are pretty strict at only customers using their restrooms. But, I was a customer. Anyway, when I walked inside the restaurant, the rude older waitress took my order. She took my order and asked me if I was going to eat it there or take out. I said take out and she asked me to go outside and wait for my order. At the time there was only 2 tables taken and outside is super hot. I just think it's bad customer service to have someone soak in the hot sun when there are plenty of seats inside.
I came out here for lunch on Friday because of the solid Yelp reviews I had read about it. My first impression was the location. While it was right off 92, we had to do a roundabout to get into the parking lot. There are some seating outside but the place has a very "unique" look to it inside. When was the last time you saw a Pan Am poster?
The staff is really polite and helpful. We ordered a bunch of food to share. The fried calamari was excellent. Very lightly fried (even if they said it was deep fried calamari). The halibut fish and chips was great. I'm not a big fan of halibut but even I have to admit it was perfectly cooked. Lightly fried and juicy. Really recommend it. Also the fish taco. Great flavor with guacamole and salsa. Last thing we ordered is the steamed mussels with garlic bread. Mussels was very tender but the garlic bread was toasted a bit too long (too crunchy) for my tastes.
Overall, the seafood dishes were all very fresh/tasty and the prices are reasonable. Having such a nice meal with a pretty girl is my idea of a perfect lunch. Doesn't get much better than this.

Whenever we decide to go up to Half Moon Bay, we stop here for lunch. I love the fish tacos (they were first I'd ever had when we moved to California) and my husband gets the fish and chips. It's small hole in the wall, but the food is fresh, cheap and mighty tasty.
From the highway this place looks like a tourist trap and there is that element to it but it's a good natured cheesiness and the food is great.
In particular the fish and chips are excellent and not expensive. The menu says they use tempura batter and rice bran oil to fry the fish and it works, crisp and not greasy. Definitely worth the stop despite the view from the highway.

Consistently fabulous. Chowder is great, fish tacos, etc. Rather popular on weekends so allow time
As a local, I know there are lots of great (and lots of styles) fish tacos coastside. But Flying Fish Grill wins for us every Friday for a late lunch. I prefer the grande version of the fried cod, but all the choices are great. And even if you don't like fish tacos, you can't go wrong with the other menu items like crabby/cheesy bread and jambalaya are very good too.
We love the outdoor seating and the service is great for a divey little hole in the wall you won't want to miss.

I'm a huge fan of the Flying Fish Grill. We've eaten here multiple times. Typically we get the fish tacos or another variation of fish. Yesterday I decided to try one of their wraps just to be different. I went for the Halibut Wrapp with rice, pineapple salsa, cabbage and sesame in a warm spinach tortilla. It was really good. Reminded me of the wraps we used to get at World Wraps that I think is out of business.
Also love the sweet potato fries.
The menu at Flying Fish Grill has so many great choices that it's always hard to make a final decision. If we lived closer, we'd eat here more often.
The place is a hole-in-the wall. There is seating inside but alot of the seating is outside so make sure to bring a jacket especially since Half Moon Bay is right on the coast and has a lot of fog and wind.
Been coming to FFG for years.
Nice hole-in-the-wall place, frequented by locals. On summer weekends the place can get really busy with visitors and tourists.
Food is good. Nothing fancy.
Service is good but the 2 waitresses get overwhelmed easily when the place gets hopping.
If you order the cheesy crabby garlic bread eat it quick - it doesn't taste as good once the cheese cools down.
Fish and chips, jambalaya, clam chowder, artichoke bisque - all good.
Recently I discovered their grilled calamari sandwich. It's very good - cooked just right, good balance between the calamari, thin slice of onion, tomato and tartar sauce on toasted focaccia bread.
Check out their website. A lot of people order food to go.
I give FFG 4 stars.
My hubby & I went after Eye on the Bay had featured this restaurant's yummy fish tacos over a year ago. That dinner was nice - we had decent food & my hubby had their pumpkin beer. Prices were reasonable & the service was lovely.
We went today - The service was LOUSY! They ran out of chicken & the staff was superbly rude. I was super disappointed & I don't believe we will be back.
I was very excited to try this place after reading all the Yelp reviews. All 3 of us ordered the fish tacos and were less than impressed. The fish itself was fried well, but the taco was bland bland bland. We also ordered the clam chowder which they advertise as being one of the best in the area and it was just super salty. I've had comparable chowder at Fresh Choice...
I also don't understand why they can't invest in cups and bowls. Paper cups and bowls seem like such a waste.
Have been there several times. The wraps are excellent...
This is the best spot in Half Moon Bay for lunch. Not fancy, but the food speaks volumes and the service is friendly and efficient. I came here on a recommendation, and, the food was awesome. So fresh, great service, a must-stop spot.

If you expect swift service, sit inside, but, it is best to go here when you have some time to enjoy the day outside after a nice long walk or bike ride along the coast in Half Moon Bay (or visit Moss Beach, have a drink at Moss Beach distillery, but, EAT at Flying Fish). The restaurant is small and somehow managed to slip my radar until two good friends raved about it... I have investigated 3 times in 1.5 months - still 5 stars! Fish tacos and their wraps are delicious, but, the sweet potato fries ...so good and crispy. The crabby cheese bread is tasty, but, I think too expensive for what you get.
When they are busy it can get hectic . If you are sitting outside, I say be assertive and ask for more iced tea at the outside window. And, going to teeny tiny bathroom is quite an adventure.... if ya really gotta go you might want to stop by the restrooms at the beach!
overall friendly service but the wait persons are people and I sense most of them have worked there for a long time, they appreciate patient people.
Never judge a book by its cover.
Case in point, Flying Fish Grill. If I hadnt read the Yelp reviews, I would definitely be skipping this place. Huge gaudy sign, hole in the wall shack.
BUT the food.
To say that I love this place is an understatement. I would totally endure the drive on 92, on a weekend, even around pumpkin patch season to get my hands on the grande scallop tacos. OMFG. Foodgasm. Lightly breaded scallops, deep fried just right, guacamole, cheese, all on a toasted taco shell. Cloud 9 for 5 minutes. So worth it!!
BTW, grande tacos means it has cheese and guacamole. This is not a starbucks.
Anyways, the halibut wrap was also good. Spinach wrap. Yummy deep fried halibut. Lotsa veggies, and mango. Interesting wasabi fusion sauce. My second favorite item. Unfortunately, I've had better clam chowder. It was too watery for my taste.
Friendly staff, cozy mom and pop feel, absolutely awesome food (scallop taco!).

I saw a review of this restaurant in the newspaper and i've been wanting to check it out. the reviews on yelp have been pretty positive, so yesterday, I decided to take my fiance and my grandmother.
The drive took about 25 minutes from san bruno, but it was pretty pleasant and peaceful. My grandmother loved the view of the ocean. It was pretty easy to spot, since the building is painted bright yellow. Its not very huge inside, maybe about 6 tables inside, and and bunch of little round ones outside.
With the help of yelp reviews...we started off with the crabby cheese bread and a bowl of clam chowder. Both were so good. The crabby cheesebread had just the right amount of cheese and garlic...the crab was good too, but we can always use more=)
My fiance and grandmother each got the Seafood Combo ( cod, calamari, prawns + 2 sides). The sweet potato fries were pretty yummy, as well as the cole slaw and grilled veggies. The basket was huge....one is definitely enough for two people, especially if you are ordering other things to try.
I had the fish n chips and a prawn taco. I decided to nix the guac and cheese for the taco and just have it the way it is. Great choice, since it was pretty AWESOME! I have no comment on the fish n chips, since the waitress forgot to put my order in. Though, she did come over and apologized for forgetting my order. No biggie, since we had plenty of food at the table.
Luckily, my grandmother couldn't finish her Seafood Combo, so I tried a piece of her fish. It was pretty lite and tasty. The batter is crispy, lite and not very greasy. It tasted great with a little bit of tarter sauce and the malt vinegar. The prawns were plump and succulent and they had a nice crisp to it. She liked the calamari because it was tender and tasty.
Overall, I think its a cool place to check out. Its a nice and easy drive, its close to the beach, the food is great and plentiful. I cant wait to go back and try some other things on the menu...maybe the Seafood Cioppino, or the Jeaux's Special!
I have driven past this bright yellow joint on the corner of 92 and Highway 1countless times. I have never ventured inside, until this weekend. I have to say that this is going to be a regular stop from now on. Less than an hour from Livermore, without traffic, and I can be enjoying their awesome food.
Fish and Chips: The best around. Fresh fish and perfectly fried, hot and and crispy. Moist inside and fried in a rice oil that leaves the fish less oilt and delicious. The 2 piece is enough for anyone and it comes in three or four piece. The best I have had in the bay area, by far!!
Clam Chowder: Every place has theirs and this is the best around. Not overly thick. Very fresh and light tasting. The veggies are crisp, the potatoes are soft, the clams tender. The flavor is spot on and I had to bring some home with me! Excellent chowder!!
Fish tacos: Perfect in every way. You don't even need the "grande" style which is with cheeses and guacamole. They don't need it!! Fresh cabbage, fried fish, special sauce. So good.
Prawn Tacos: Fried prawns in place of the fish. The prawns were cooked perfectly. Not soft, not chewy but had that plump shrimp pop to them. Incredible.
Crabby Cheesey bread: Fresh bread ith a special sauce and a layer of cheeses, broiled until bubbly with fresh dungeness crab on top. That was devoured in 2.3 seconds. So good, so good.
Service: Freindly and fast and we loved it! Thanks!!
Restroom: An adventure around the restaurant, through the kitchen. Fun stuff!
When you see the humble yellow building with it's flying fish logo, pull in and eat! It is inexpensive, fresh and well cooked and well served food. See you again!!

The garish exterior colors are somewhat off-putting but this is no tourist-trap. Inside is a tiny room with overworked waiter staff that serve up excellent seafood. Where most fish restaurants over-bread and/or under-cook their dishes this place manages to get their fish, shrimp, scallops and more perfectly crisp every time. The restaurant also serves fine wraps and fish tacos that stunningly good. Most of the other items such as crab sandwiches and the odd appetizer will not disappoint but the real stars are the combo platters.
When you first get here, you'll probably have to wait a little bit and sign your name on the clipboard. There were 5 of us so we waited about 15-20 minutes. So the FIRST time we got called, we were welcomed in by one waitress and then next thing you know, some crazy lady (another waitress) yells out," WOAH WOAH WOAH!" and freaking pushes us out. I guess they forgot some other party that was waiting before us or something? Anyway, we waited a couple more minutes, then we got seated in some area that was closed off. It was really nice that day so that was cool. The service got better after that little incident, but it didn't really make up for that rudeness. I know they were busy but geez, calm down lady!
As for the food it was fresh, delicious, and not pricey at all. I had a wrap with salmon, avocado, and this really good mango sauce in it. When I first got it, I thought it was kinda small. But it really filled me up, and I ended up not even finishing it! So I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for that freak accident.
Wow, fantastic fish Tacos. We showed up on a Sunday at noon the day if the HMB pumpkin festival, so Flying Fish was slammed. That said, they got us a table in about 15 minutes. Thr restaurant is a very small building with outdoor seating, and is adjoined to a small fish market and a small produce market. I'm sure that's part of the reason everything tastes so fresh. I ordered three tacos: grilled mahi, fish and prawn. The grilled mahi was good, a corn tortilla stiffed with well cooked mahi, cabbage and mango salsa. The shrimp and fish (halibut, I think) were both lightly fried and crispy without being greasy, also had cabbage and a light creme sauce. A dash of lemon juice was all they needed. I've had fish tacos in Baja, San Diego and more. These are the best I've had. Only reason I didn't give Flying Fish a full five stars was the slightly dense waitress, who had a hard time with our order and wasn't super friendly. Didn't matter though, on the first bite of those tacos.
Love love love this place! It's been over a month since I've been here and I still remember how wonderful the food is. Yes, you can believe all the hype on Yelp. The fish tacos are AMAZING. So wonderfully delicious and cooked to perfection! I've had other fish tacos and they all taste like crap because I now know what a REAL fish taco is supposed to taste like! The seafood combo is also really great - lots of food at a great price and all their deep fried options are delicious. And on top of that, the service was great! Our server was really sweet, helpful and attentive.
Great location, great prices, great service, great ambiance, and awesome food. What more could you ask for?!?
We drove from Alameda just to eat here. Our waitress was as great as it gets. Fish taco, garlic cheesy bread, clam chowder and what everyone forgets to mention the fried zuc. If they can fry fish they can fry any veggies!! The food was perfect. The service was perfect.
If you get a chance go!!
YUMMY! I came here with a group of friends and ordered the Pacific Wrap. My friends ordered the fish tacos and some kind of crab/ garlic bread. Everything was so good and FRESH. I was so stuffed, but could not stop eating.
The service was friendly and fast.
I will definitely come back.
This place is reason enough to make a trip to Half Moon Bay. Don't be misled by the gaudy sign and the 'shack in the middle of nowhere'. Every single piece of seafood I had was fresh and delicious.
The deep-fried items tend to be a little too much after a while so I would recommend more of the grilled stuff like the Tiger prawns.
i dont like writing negative reviews because it doesnt really help anybody. but flying fish grill isnt going to be my favorite and i know establishments should never be taken down simply by words of an unsatisfied customers (it's unfair) so i'll just be brief.
the deep fried halibut that i ordered ($13.95) had 2.5 pieces of fish and probably 15 fries. one small cup of coleslaw. should be worth $8-9 max. plus the service, though they were reasonably busy on labor day (today) wasnt good. a lot of waiting and multiple times of forgetfulness.
the food was ok. it's your standard fish and chips. no quality that accentuates value for what you get.
not sure what else to say. like i said, i'm not into bashing restaurants that work hard to establish themselves, and i can tell they put in the effort. i most likely will not return though
Hubby picked this place out for lunch after reading Yelper reviews. He was skeptical because he didn't agree with reviews on a restaurant in Mendocino. But, this place is right on. It's kind of a hole in the wall, been here since the 1990's. We tried:
Boston Clam Chowder $5.85 for a bowl, which came in a round carton (12oz). It was thick, way too many potatoes, not enough clams but very tasty.
Artichoke Bisque was good, creamy with a hint of pureed artichoke, like a broccoli cheese soup.
The crabby cheese bread ($7.95) was good, but only came with 4 small slices. It's like a cheese bread with pieces of crab tossed on top. I wouldn't order it again. The fried calamari appetizer ($9.25) was good, all rings, no tentacles (rats!). Hubby & I each had the Grande fish taco ($4.15) which is the same size as the regular but added guacamole and cheese. The fish was battered fried and I didn't like it with the guacamole/cheese, would've been better to have it plain.
Jr. Yelper had the 3 piece fish and chips ($11.65). The fried cod pieces were huge and crispy. The serving of fries was generous but didn't taste as good as the fries at Nick's Cove in Marshall, CA. Soda was $1.95 served in paper cups, no refills.
The place is in an area shared by a produce market and seafood shop. It's kind of a small hole in the wall with about 6 tables. There's outside seating in the usual plastic chairs. Old Pam Am airplane posters decorate the walls with vinyl tablecloths. It's not the cleanest place I've ever eaten in, but the food is good and worth another trip back. The waitress, Nicole and her partner were really nice and friendly.
They also have other types of fish tacos (salmon, mahi-mahi, prawn, scallop); a variety of seafood wraps ($8-9), specialty sandwiches ($9-$14) - crab melt, salmon, garlic-chicken, cod, crab cake; grilled seafood ($13-14); deep-fried seafood ($11-16) and specialities: cioppino, jambalaya, halibut & chips, etc. ($14-15); salads - garden, topped, louie-louie, shrimp, crab, combo louie, avocado-crab, frutta del mar, seared ahi tuna (up to $14). There's also a kiddie menu for age under 12 ($7).

Really good fish tacos. And the decor didn't bother me too much. It was charming, rustic. It's Island Fever meets Florida retirement home.
But I have to warn people about the water. It's pretty undrinkable. Maybe it's tap, but it just doesn't taste good. So if you go there, and you're thirsty, order a coke or something.
I've driven by this place about half a million times, and never even noticed it. I'd even purchased fish from the place next door, but somehow completely over looked this place. And easily missing this place, may be part of their charm and appeal, as space is pretty limited inside. If this place were more popular, it would undoubtedly influence the service, charm and experience. Therefore, let's keep this place our little secret! - Okay?
This place is very homey, and comfortable with a terrific wait staff. We arrived Saturday night a few minutes before closing (about 7:50pm, and they close at 8pm, though their stated time is 8:30pm), and had to wait just a few minutes until a table was ready. We stood and talked, and checked out the dishes that everyone was eating, and the joyful looks on everyone's faces. Everyone looked very contented, as they voraciously dove into their food. This indeed was a good sign.
After a few minutes, we were seated, and were quickly perusing the menu. As you could have guessed, it's all about seafood! Steamed clams & mussels, clam chowder, fish & chips (cod or halibut - your choice), cioppino, pastas, crabby garlic bread, calamari, scallops, and the list goes on. They also have very yummy grilled veggies, herb rice, and sweet potato french fries!
I was starving and brought a big ole appetite with me, so I ordered their "Clipper" - I think it's called. It's cod, calamari, scallops and shrimp - all deep friend to a golden goodness! Yum. My girlfriend ordered their fish & chips, and a side of their garlic bread.
The food was seasoned very well, and not too greasy. However, I think that if they increased the heat of the fryer, the food would be even less greasy. I was trying to be a good boy, and ordered the grilled veggies and herb rice, instead of french fries, and was quite glad that I did! Both were amazing. And the garlic bread was easily the best that I've ever had!
Though I don't like recommending this place, as I want to keep it my little secret, I definitely suggest that you check it out, if you like fish & chips! It's way better than Barbara's Fish Trap - sorry, Barbara's! And Sam's isn't even in the running.

A really nice, casual place with a cute patio (our two year old was occupied admiring all the different leaves and flowers).
Fish tacos although looked good seemed too pricy. The seafood combo (fried calamari, cod, and prawns) was big enough for two and the grilled salmon sandwich was yummy too.
If we're in the area we would possibly go back. The food was good... just not too sure on the owner/manager though. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom and on the way you see this bulletin board covered with missives for the staff which seemed a bit harsh at times...
Good menu. Lots to choose from. I had a hard time picking one thing!
So I tried their yummy crab melt sandwich with fries. And I had their iced tea (which was a bit lemony.)
Seating outdoors was a bit rocky, literally.
Service was friendly and efficient enough.
Prices were reasonable. (especially for fresh seafood!)
Parking is limited, and few are marked.
Restroom.....interesting. Walkway is a path around the back of the building and through the kitchen.

After a decision for a little road trip, off to Half Moon Bay we go! We drove out for a day trip for a little fun on the beach with our puppy when all of a sudden the hunger hit us!
Trying to find a local hang out was tough as we didn't see any places that seemed like the place to be, usually we find those places right away, especially towns near the beach, but for some reason we didnt find anything...not even in downtown half moon bay- which was a disappointment!
Finally after driving around I checked yelp mobile and searched 'fish' hehe, we're near the beach so something fishy's gotta be good right? Well....first thing to pop up on yelp was the Flying Fish Grill and luckily we were only a block away and my husband found it before I even checked yelp- so yelp really just validated that we needed to hit up the FFG! All the yelpers online seemed to dig this place, so we had to go try it!
First, love the little mom and pop vibe, so casual. No frills, just sit outside under the grass umbrellas or put your name on the list to sit inside (there was a wait when we went so we decided to sit outside).
We were greeted right away and after surveying the menu, we ordered the garlic calamari (OMG, so good!)...the tartar sauce was really delicious, don't know why I was diggin' it so much, but it tasted awesome! After we devoured that, we had some of the crab garlic bread, also good....but not as 'hot' when we got it, was a bit warm....I like my garlic bread crispy and hot....so that was mediocre.
Finally, after a few seconds on inhaling our appz, we had the grande fish tacos...I mean after all the hype on yelp and what the reviews from the local papers said about the fish tacos (at least based on what the menu claimed the papers said)....we decided to order these "grande" fish tacos.
The are reallllly delicious, but not really GRANDE...but one was good enough after having a few appetizers. For almost $4.00 you get 1 fish taco...normally I wouldn't shell out $4 for just 1 taco, that's it, no rice, beans or chips...but it was worth it.
They also had shrimp, mahi mahi and scallop tacos, which all sounded just as good. All in all...would we go back? YES! This place is the PERFECT place to have some good ol' fish and chips...but really recommend the fish tacos and calamari!
I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I had passed this place so many times on the way past Half Moon Bay, but just never stopped. It is in a brightly colored building, but there was always just a little something off about it. My mistake. Finally stopped for a late lunch and had a great, great meal. Fried shrimp were succulent on the inside and cripy battered on the outside. Fish tacos a must. Nice with fried fish or grilled. The seafood tasted very, very fresh. Fries were pretty good, but I had them to go so they likely are better there. Friendly service and a good vibe. Reasonable prices. Oh, and definitely check out the fish market next door.
Small hole in the wall place. Good fish tacos, fish & chips. Salads and wraps also available. Wait staff friendly.
This place hardly needs more raves, but here's me throwing my hat in the ring.
LOVE the fish tacos.
Love 'em.
I nearly moved to Half Moon Bay just to be closer to them.
My boyfriend and I came here on one random evening after we decided to go catch the sunset at Half Moon Bay.
We were not disappointed. We ordered the fish tacos (grande - w/cheese & guac), and he got one mahi mahi taco, and I got a shrimp taco. Started off with the crabby cheesy bread.
The crabby cheesy bread was awesome, and I've never had crabby cheesy bread before. The tacos were delicious. I loved the sauce they put on my shrimp taco. I prob would not order the grande tacos b/c the special sauce they have on the regular tacos is better than cheese & guac on the grande tacos.
Would definitely come back again if I'm in the area :)

Thanks for the yelpers who recommended this little momma's shop out in the middle of Half Moon Bay.... My friend and I stopped by for dinner ~7pm on a Saturday and beat the dinner rush that followed us. The little restaurant seats only ~20 people, and the service is attentive and friendly. We order the "giant fish taco" (which is really only ~3" long so it wasn't giant in my eyes...) and while it looked a bit oily, my friend that ate it said that it was tasty.
We also ordered the cheesy crabby bread and OMG it was wonderful! The best way to describe it is an oily, cheesy garlic bread (very garlicky, but I love it) with crab meat on top. Very tasty!
My main dish was the cod wrap (I forgot what they called it) which was filled with a creamy rice, mango, and a generous amount of fresh fish. Very tasty.
We also tried their blueberry pie for dessert (a la mode of course!) which was not too sweet, and very fresh and homemade tasting.
All together it was ~$15/person for dinner. Not bad!
