I think at some point this was a really cool place to go.  That point is not now.  I've been here twice, once there were a bunch of NBA dudes there according to my friend.  They just looked like really tall guys but she apparently recognized them.

The floors are neat but worn out and cracked.  It's a really small place -- it gets crowded, but if you get there before it gets crowded it's impossible to avoid people in there.

I went with a friend, we were socializing, which is hard since it was super loud.  Through out the night several guys came up to us to chat with us -- after yelling a conversation and trying to excuse ourselves, we found out quickly it was not easy to escape.  We finally went into their bathroom -- once upon a time swanky perhaps but there was a toilet broken and puddles of what I hope is water on the sink and all over the floor.

I ended up meeting a rad girl in the bathroom who I found out months later went to my climbing gym.  So that was a bonus.

I remember the music being all right and fun to dance to -- a some point a German bachelor party showed up.  They didn't seem to appreciate American bachelor party traditions -- they thought it was lame -- but then wouldn't tell me what they did back home.

I had fun the times I went and it's conveniently close to BART so that's another bonus -- but not a place I'd seek out.

Wow, I think not....

Altho I had a fun time for the most part, it wasn't because of the venue.  Friends = 5 stars ... Fluid = 1 star ... our personal bouncer in the VIP area (who was only 21!!!) - 1 star all to himself :P.

- First of all, this place opens at 10 but they had us wait outside for 30 minutes longer even thought we paid a butt load of money to reserve tables in the back.  On top of that, they checked our ID's 3 or 4 times because they were unorganized in the front... and I get there were alot of people so they were barking orders/yelling at us BUT I'd like to be treated with a little more respect as a paying customer who is helping to support their business..

- Yes, the floor lights up like retro "Billie Jean" style ... and the VIP area is pretty spacious (I think we had about 30~ people) ... BUT there are a few things that are really really ridonkulous:
** Bathrooms should've had caution tape all around it.  Toilets didn't flush, girls were throwing up everywhere because of that (in the clogged sink, too), they ran out of toilet paper and paper towels, and door locks were broken.  THEY HAD all freakin day to address these issues... disgusting.
** The two VIP areas being connected so the other party had to walk thru our party everytime someone had to use the restroom or go to the bar... or just leave the VIP area.  Bizarre... and annoying.  They did have a blowup doll... that was entertaining.

Drinks were $10... not very tasty but strong.  meh..

I understand there are challenges to maintaining a club and you can't please everyone but my complaints are general and not asking for much.  CLEAN UR BATHROOMS and treat people with a little more respect ... are my main ones ... hm... the douchey crowd... (it is what it is, I guess)

I don't think I'll be back... you can find me at SOM.

The DJ rocked last Saturday(11/07/09) !! ^ ^ Danced the night away like no one was watching lol well although he played a few songs that got me standing there shakin my head to my friends ahaha either way had a blast here. =D

Line was fairly long even at midnight, but moved quite efficiently. Cover was $20 and coat check was $3. VIP Rooms are in the far back, much more cozy~ Crowd was mixed, but mostly Asians. What I like most about Fluid I would say is that this place is well lit, it's not as dark as most clubs where you can barely see who you're dancing with lol =x not good at all~ ahahah

Ok.. Maybe I'm being a little generous but this place is NOT that bad. I barely go to SF anymore because A) too far B) too expensive C) bad parking D) "douche-y" crowd E) crappy music etc... The list goes on (I'm not saying that SJ clubs/lounges are better but I guess SF is a little to far for the bad experiences I have been having)

Came to Fluid because my boyfriend's friends were in town from Washington. Online it says that guestlist closes at 11 and its 20$/person after. I did NOT want to pay 20$ so we got to the club at 10:15... It wasn't even open. The security was super chill and let us hang out in the smoking section to avoid the lines later.. the club opened at 10:30 (sorry lounge not club).

We were probably the first 10 to get in. Besides the back VIP section the main part of Fluid is 80% taken up by the bar itself which is located right in the middle of the lounge. The surprising thing is that the dress code did NOT exist. I was way over dressed in a simple top and leggings with stilettos. A man was in a dirty red flannel, wrangler jeans and LLbean Hiking boots. A girl had uggs on and then there was a guy dressed in a full tux.. It was crazy! But If they were comfy then who am I to complain?

Bartenders were efficient, drinks were moderately priced, music was decent with your typical top 40 hits and surprisingly I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time at this place. My friend from Chicago?! But then again, this looks like your typical "fraternity/sorority" lounge... I saw A LOT of affiliated (greek) people so I guess running into old friends made my night more fun...

The lights and decoration are whatevers.. The floors that light up are nice but then again there are alot of areas where the floor panels are breaking and shattering which could lead to a HUGE disaster when someone falls through but still.. GOOD TIME! Found parking FAST, Security was super chill, Bartenders were good, Music was decent (too much lady gaga ughh..), Bathrooms were awful (way too dark, and only 2 stalls working with 1 that didn't lock)...

I came here a couple Saturdays ago for a friend's birthday shenanigans.

Here's my low-down on Fluid:

Pros:
- floor that lights up (although is semi-cracked and damaged all over the place)
- the bouncer for the vip area was efficient and didn't mind when our crazy asses started dancing with him
- strong drinks!
- bottle service tables kept pretty clean and full

Cons:
- Opening the doors at 10:30 when it's supposed to be open at 10.
- Ridiculously dirty and unstocked bathrooms. HELLO!  You opened LATE and you still couldn't find the time to stock toilet paper or paper towels!?
- Bouncers at the door who seem incapable of reading the vip list and making people on the list wait in line when they're not supposed to.
- Poorly laid out vip area - how do you have a side vip room where people have to walk in and out of the main VIP area?!
- DJ....... Not sure how you can play hiphop and then throw in some Miley Cyrus in there.  Or how you can request a song and play it for 20 seconds and then switch it to something else.

I managed to have a great time still - due to great company of course!

However, I would not come back here.

It's ok.  The highlight is that the floors light up?

Somehow the asians have taken over this place.  Which isn't terribly bad (i'm asian), but I like mixed crowds more so.  Nothing special here..it's definitely not divy.  Although..I had a great conversation with the door dood.  In no way he was being mean but it was ironic..

Security (S):  IDs please.
Me (M):  Absolutely, chief!  (my roommate and I pass our IDs over)
S:  (Looks me up and down) You know fellas I really like the look, but you shouldn't be wearing sneakers.  I usually don't let people in like that on Fridays and Saturdays.  Thursdays yes..
M:  Oh, I know I look good.  Appreciate it..but we have friends in there already.
S:  Yes I know.  I'm going to let you guys in this time.
M:  Thanks, boss!  You're awesome.

We walk in..and like half the club as sneakers on.  And about 1/4 of the guys have t-shirts on (designer shirts no less!!!).  Really!?  Y'all let everyone in because it was a dead night.

Hey security man - you were just doing your job.  I know.  I just found it ironic you gave us a bit of a hard time (with full intentions of letting us in).

The management is a joke. Their lack of organization will cost the customers both time and money since their "free before 11" is such a gimmick. It's true that if you get in before 11, it is free...but chances are, you won't get in before 11.

A group of 20 of us went there for a birthday celebration. I was the 4th in line at 945, but 1 didnt get in till almost 11. Needless to say, the rest of my party had to pay to get in...and what was worse was the fact that the bouncer said that ladies could go in free and guys fork up $10 for the inconvenience. The cashier would not acknowledge the agreement and made all the ladies pay $10 and the guys $20.

While the blue lit floor was a nice touch, this place is too crowded and the bar is located right in the center making it impossible to get drinks or walk through a crowd.

Overall, this place is not worth going to.

Fluid is a riot. Where else in the course of an hour will you find one chick wearing white skin tight velour track pants (circa J-Lo 2001), see the most fake Ed Hardy four piece ensemble you've ever seen in your entire life, and a hyphy drunk chick fight?

Welcome to Fluid. Population: trash.

I've been here several times now and each time I go, I vow it as my last. The dolled up bartenders are extremely slow with orders and seem to serve men first, the air circulation is horrible, the floors always seem to be slippery, and the girls bathroom has three stalls, only two of which are ever in order, and NO lights. I think this might have been the spot to go a long time ago when their basic offerings worked for them. It's just very run down.

No thanks.

I used to come here a lot and at one point it was my favorite place to go when I wanted to dance the night away. These days I opt to go to bigger or newer clubs, but that's besides the point. Anyway, when you first walk into the place you see the bar in the middle and a lighted floor. For some reason I liked the lighted floor even though it's really cheesy for some people. The music is usually good and if you're having a party, the vip area in the back that's secluded is the way to go if you just want to party with your friends without having to brush off random men who want to dry hump you.

Yeah I am not sure how this place remained open all the way to the second coming but this has to be about the most epic failure of a club that still manages to make money.  The VIP room feels more like a time-out area for roofied sorority tramps.  Holy shit this place blows. The second star was for the huge blonde bartender...Amen.

Y'know that saying, "It's an oldie, but a goodie"?  Well, Fluid is an oldie, but NOT a goodie.

It was "the place to be and be seen" like, five years ago or something.  Since then, the crowd and scene has quickly spiraled downward and now resembles a typical Saturday night in downtown Man Jose.  In other words, G-H-E-T-T-O.

Walk in and what you see is what you get.  As other Yelpers have pointed out, you get one room, one bar and nothin' else. The room is about the size of a generous living room, and I suspect the dance floor's max capacity is about 40 people.

Two historical notes for Fluid:
1) Fluid used to be infamous for the "hottie White boy bouncer who had an Asian fetish."  (Ladies, y'all know who I'm talkin' about.  Now, I'm not condoning fetishes or favoritism but, the guy would basically let you waltz in without any cover if you were an Asian female. How can you pass up NO cover?!?  The fact that he was prime eye candy didn't hurt either.)

2) HUGH JACKMAN made a freakin' guest appearance at FLUID, of ALL PLACES, back in Fluid's heyday.  F@#$ITTY F@#$ F@#$.  WHY was I not there when this happened?!?  I am still kicking myself for missing perhaps my only opportunity to touch his fine-a@@ body.  S@#$.

Now, if Fluid could only convince Hugh Jackman to make another appearance,....*sigh*

FUN NIGHT!!

Location wise this place is off of mission so parking on the side streets can be hard to find unless you go early but they have near by parking garages that range from $15-$21. We did not have to stay in line that long because 1) we arrived early and 2) we had bottle service. When I walked in I was amazed at the blue lit floor! I couldnt stop looking down! lol. The lounge itself is shaped like a square and the bar is in the middle and surrounding vip tables along the wall. The dancefloor is small but then again you can dance everywhere.

We had a table in the back room ( we did do bottle service) where you can only get in with a wristband. The good thing about the back room is there was a small bar so we got our drinks FAST! A mixed drink ranged from $7 up and a shot $8 up.

The music ranged from hip hop to top 40s. The night we went Djs from Vegas were spinning. The crowd was diverse. The bathrooms were small but the wait for the restroom went by fast and yes the toliets were CLEAN! There is a blocked off section in the front for smoking too.

Overall I had a great time here! Maybe because we had our own little private section to play around in. A must place to go!

I liked that my friend arranged for us to not have to stand in line very long since we were there for part of a bachelorette party.  Also liked the blue-lit floor.

Drinks were moderately priced, seemed like there were a lot of Asian people in there, with more non-Asian guys than non-Asian girls.  In fact, I was dancing with a group of friends when all of a sudden I felt someone dancing super close to me.  I had to look down to see this really short black dude with the characteristic gold chain freaking me.  EW!!  I was startled, and looked around to see who this dude was with and if he was playing a joke on me.  I edged away and hid behind my husband.  Instead of the hubby being protective and comforting me, he was laughing!  He said, "Gotta give the guy some props.  That was pretty funny."  Thanks a lot!

Wow..... All I have to say.. I was in shock after the night I had here. I haven't been here in 3 years and the scene has totally changed. I had a pretty good exp 3 years ago but this time was horrible. They use to have a Ferrari parked outside but now they don't. They now have to bus people in from party buses. I guess that might be the first bad sign. As i was standing in line to get in, the janitorial staff came out to wash out the ummm dinner of someone left on the sidewalk. I can only assume they had a little to much to drink before going in.

We all got inside and got some bday shots for the ladies and hit the dance floor. They played top 40s and hip hop but nothing really new except for a few songs here and there. Douchey guys all up in this place scoping out the cougars *yes cougars* and getting their make out on actually ON the dance floor. Yeah it was a pretty bizarre scene. It was so bad that one of the drunk cougars fell while dancing and it was all bad.

Maybe we went on a bad night but I'm so glad we didn't have to pay for cover.

If you like floozies in cheap Wet Seal stripper dresses snubbing you and a bar staff thats slower than a glacier then this is the place for you! Been here a few times now for both private events and club nights and while the private events have always been okay I don't know if you could pay me to go there again otherwise. It just seems like a place where reject frat kids go to die (probably from one too many kamikaze shots).

Although I am endlessly amused by the fact that this club tries to front that its super upscale yet all their glasses (including champagne) are plastic. But then again that could just be a preventative measure for all the gals that will ultimately end up dropping a dozen drinks before they end their night ass up in the gutter.

Um...NO, the ridiculously loud music is not an excuse for you to pull me closer as you tell me that you can't hear me. I can hear everything you're saying, even though I don't want to, so stop freaking cock-blocking.

I don't want any cocks to be blocked. Thanks.

I spent half the night running around the dance floor avoiding this douche, which turned into a game of DDR, as the floor tiles are illuminated with various colors. I stopped occasionally to examine my asian glow in the square mirrors, which were arranged in a odd checkered pattern that only allowed me to view my boobs and the top of my head, but not my cherry tomato red face.

The music theme of the night was house & trance, which added to the pulsating ache in my head induced by the drinks. I had a Long Island Iced Tea and a Vodka Tonic; both were surprisingly strong and refreshing, and prepared by a dashing young bartender. *swoon*

The $3 coat check service was nice enough to check my enormous purse, but the bathrooms were grotesque and flooded. The free cover charge before 11pm for guest-listers is lame, since all the cool kids show up fashionably late.

There was no ventilation in the lounge, and when mixed with the horrid stench of sweaty old men, had me to dashing again in circles to generate my own air circulation system.

Ladies, come here if you want a good workout from running away from creepers. Or you can always get your exercise later on in the night if you're lucky enough to not get cock-blocked.

$20 for cover? I was hoping I'd get lucky and they would find another Maggie H. on their guestlist, but no luck, Chuck.

The venue is nice but small. Cushy seats that run along the walls. The bathroom is dark and disgusting, even at the beginning of the night.

Drinks are served in tiny plastic cups and cost too much.

They were playing top 40s and people were dancing, but, maybe, only two out of hella people could keep with the beat. Geez. I never thought, I'd see so many Asians in one room and only so few could dance. Oh right, there was this one random Asian chick (actually, I don't know if she was a she) who was dancing to her own beat in front of a full length mirror. At one point, she was doing the chicken dance... Yeah, what the eff?

My girls and I kept staring at the clock telling ourselves the crowd would get better and people would start dancing, but after an hour, we got tired and just decided, "Fuck it, Mezzanine, here we come!"

A couple of friends Terry, Jose and I got VIP tickets from my homegirl, Tahni. She gave us a few other passes just in casel, It helps to have hook at a lot of clubs out here! Interestingly the few extra tickets went to a few friends of ours who we saw in the line.

I love how people complain about loud music and a crowded venue. Isn't that the point of going clubbing? This place is a tad cozy though and can get a little warm. The decor is pretty nice though. The music was a good mix and the staff was really nice. I apologize to the 2 lovely ladies that were passing out freebies for forgetting your names. You gals were cool to talk to! I also happened to run into a good friend of mines which was surprising considering she doesn't club too often. Maryanne and your homegirls. I forgot their names too. I am horrible at names. LOL!
Thanks for the GG tonic huns!

This place had good music, nice decor and great staff! Everyone from the bartenders, bouncers, promo staff were all cool!

1) Music is WAY too loud. I cannot hold any sort of conversation unless that person is sitting on my lap.  Or vice versa.  No thanks.

2) Teeny tiny venue!  It's like every molester/pervert's dream - such close quarters; some "accidental" ass grabbing is probably in order.

3) Drinks are kind of pricey...and then served in plastic cups.  Really?  I mean.... REALLY?

2 stars.  One because I didn't have to pay cover.  Another because I liked the all white decor.

The atmosphere is cool, the bar is cool, the VIP area in the back is cool. I also came with a lot of people and we had the back room with a table. The place heats up like a sauna, there is no AC anywhere, so I found myself going outside with people every half hour.

The floors light up, the dance floor is kinda small, but I would have been fine with all that if not for the horrid DJ.

That DJ alone makes me never want to come back to Fluid. The music was not transitioning at all, he played the same songs twice...and I literally wanted to sock him. We saw him taking shots so he was probably plastered halfway through the routine. bleh.

The only days I would go here are Saturdays, when DJ Scotty Boy is usually spinning. Other than that, I probably wouldn't bother stepping in.

Pros:
- Bar is in the middle, providing easy access to drinks
- Bartenders were nice and quick to take your order once you make eye contact (AMF!)
- Saturdays: no cover till 11pm; if you can, get on Scotty Boy's guestlist
- Cool blue lighting on the floors!
- Coat check. $3 per coat/item but you can hang your coat along with your purse so that's 3 bucks in total (some clubs/lounges don't even have coat check and I hear Shitty Nights demands $5 for it. ugh)
- The restroom has someone to pump your soap for you and hand you a tissue when you're done washing your hands (plus they have mints, tampons, and other stuff you might need!)

Cons:
- Dancefloor isn't that big
- So is the restroom. Two stalls. Girls go in with their girlfriends to the loo. Go figure!
- Most of the drinks I wanted weren't available (shot of hynotiq and mojitos)
- Drinks were weak =[
- The crowd, especially the women are dressed in skimpy skanky outfits. Ew

But other than what I've mentioned, the 4 stars are mostly for Scotty Boy!

Go on Fridays. Asian scene, if you're into that. Love that there's space to dance all around the bar. Appreciated the table in the VIP section- it boasted built in spaces for the ice and whatnot. The roped off section was a nice touch too, since it definitely feels seperate from the main floor. Drink from the bar- nice and stiff. Good job. ON FRIDAYS.

Too loud = My ears are still ringing.

Too expensive = At least we got a discount thanks to a hook-up.

Too crowded = Feels like packed sardines.

It all adds up to me being "Too Old" for this sh*t.

I went here Friday with some friends and had a great time.  It's a bit small and crowded, but not horrible.  The music is loud, but it's a club so you want the music to be loud if you want to dance.  The bar tenders are HOT, but not stuck up.  Also the drink prices are on par with most bars and less expensive than most clubs.  I bought 4 or 5 drinks and my tab was $30.

We signed up for the guest list which just means that if you get there by 11 then you get in free.  The normal cover is $20, which is a bit steep.  I think $5 or $10 would be fair, or at least Free cover for ladies.  A few people that came with us did not sign up for the guest list and they wanted them to pay $20 a head, and 4 of them were girls, come on let the ladies in for free.

Anyhow it was a fun night, I would go back.

Meh. I've experienced better.

the place looks cool, i'll give it that. you can even visit their website and they'll tell you about their state of the art floor lighting system that can create thousands of colors! or some shit like that. the bouncers were actually pretty friendly compared to other places and this one dude was just chattin it up with people who were waiting in line.

the problems i had with fluid: the dj was kinda wack. now, i'm not even a top 40 hits kinda guy to begin with, so if i go out to a cluh (yes, a cluh) the only way a dj can redeem himself in my eyes is smooth transitioning and a set list that makes sense. the dj who was spinning the night i went to fluid was not so good. he tried to do some fancy shit but it just didn't really work.

i didn't have too many drinks, but the vodka tonic i ordered was really really sweet. i probably got more sober after drinking it.

i kinda want to give them an extra star because of the way they treated me when i returned the following night trying to retrieve my lost ID and credit card. the manager was really courteous about it and wasn't a douche. but they took a really long time just to find a driver's license, probably like half an hour. another dude ended up helping me out so basically i had to talk to and wait for two different dudes.

To be honest as I sit here writing this post, I am somewhat conflicted on how high my score should be. On one hand coming on a Friday night was a great time to see friends I haven't seen in a long time, on another hand it was nice to see the place packed with people, but even with this said overall my experience was kind of lacking. For starters my friends and I got here pretty early in our standards and even signed up on the guest list. After we waited a good half an hour we were let in and to our amazement the place looked pretty good inside. I like the whole light blue atmosphere and the fact that the bartenders are real nice. The downers however has to be the fact that the club/lounge itself is really small. Unless you get onto the VIP list, it's near impossible to move around with any ease around the dance floor or main area. The thing that I did like was how good the bouncers treated us as we came in and out of the club (no doubt being somewhat intoxicated) and kept providing us water outside when we needed a breath of fresh air. The drinks themselves are actually quite pricey compared with some other lounges I have been to and I guess it's because they are located right downtown near the thick of late night partying. Parking was difficult to find so come early if you choose to come here.

Regardless of these things the place is still a nice chill spot to go to. I suggest getting a table or bottle service to save you the time and energy getting into the club in the first place. This week adult pornstars Tia Tanaka and Kitty were in the club so that no doubt brought a huge amount of people there. Even though the ratio heavily favored the guys, there were still a good amount of regulars who went and had a good time. I don't know if it's like this every week but bringing special guests really made me wanna check it out. I didn't get to score a picture with the lovely ladies but at least I was able to catch a glimpse of them while coming back into the club. All in all it was a fun time to celebrate my friends birthday and if you had a chance come here to check it out for yourself.

I love coming here to hear DJ Scotty Boy, but other than that, I hate Fluid. My friends and I used to go here every couple of months, but in the past few years, the crowd has gotten really skanky. The party buses drop off some really ghetto people here. My last few visits, I saw the SFPD sweep through a few times. Not sure what that's about, but it's a little odd.

I've had VIP booths with bottle service three times and it's a complete rip off. They always offer to throw in a free bottle of champagne, but they're still making a killing on the Vegas-level bottle prices. The drinks at the bar are pricey. I've never paid a cover charge, so I can't speak to that. But there's no way I'd pay $20-25, like other Yelpers said, to get in here. They might be upping the cover charge to get rid of the trash, but that's just ridiculous. The place isn't even that big.

And the bathrooms are repulsive. After 11:30, the floors are usually flooded and the toilets and sinks clogged. Water water everywhere. A girl has to wear her high heels and practice her hover squats there.

The promo staff like Melanie are really professional. the club is filled with young ghetto east bay clientelle. i was here 4 years ago and remember a more refined establishment. The bar staff (in front of house and vip lounge) negligent and lacking talent. i waited forever to oreder a cocktail and actually experienced a bartender texting when it was slow.  who hires these children? the bottle service was inefficient as well. the waitress never poured our libations nor attended to our liquor needs.
new management needs to re-evaluate there staff. not hospitable! not attentive! not informative! not impressed! The bouncers were hostile and discouraged bottle service patrons. no ins and out privlages. i hope this place shuts down! dj lacked talent as well...

I went there this past Saturday for the first time and i was absolutely underwhelmed.  I will NEVER go back there.  First of all, the music was nothing of what they advertised... i went under false pretenses.  But, the shitty experience did not start or end at the bad music.

At the door, the bouncers and promoters were acting like this place was the place to be.  First of all, they were not honoring the guestlist. One guy would say one thing, and as soon as we get in the door, someone says another and tries to get everyone to pay for entrance. They were extremly unorganized and had the group that i went with all held in that tiny little place not letting us in and continued cramming people in there as they were let inside.  Outside we were told we were good to enter, but once inside they wanted us to pay.  After much chaos, they made the men pay.

The place itself is very small, which you would think would make it easy to keep it clean. No luck with that either.  It was 11pm and the bathrooms were a stinking mess!!!  Literally! One of the stalls was out of order, the one sink was clogged, wet rolls of paper towels all other the tiny counter and floor.  No seat covers and minimal toilet paper... ridiculous!!!

Before midnight hit, there was the pleasant surprise of puke-fest.  Someone threw up in the first table set up close to the door.  They were quite slow to attend to it so just imagine what the entire place smelled like for the rest of the night.  Jeez... it was disgusting!

On top of all of this, the drinks are not just expensive but cheaply made.  They are small in size and have virtually no alcohol (this is coming from an extreme lightweight).  It take two drinks for me to be done... i had 4 and i was almost buzzed but not quite.

This is one of those places that needs to be done with.  If you're from the Bay Area, please don't give them your business... there are far better places all around.  If you are visiting San Francisco, please don't go... it will just give you a very bad impression of San Francisco night life.

The website for this place talks about catering to SF's A-List crowd.  The people I saw there, looked more like warehouse workers.

i went here Sat 8/15 and it was a good night out. my lady had the hook up and had a promoter put us a guest list so we got in for free, yipeee

typical club music, which i like. i particularly remember gettin down to every girl by lil wayne, birthday sex by jeremih and paper planes by mia, haha

bartenders were good lookin. price was normal...2 citron belvedere sodas, 2 bacaradi 151 + cokes, 1 amf, 1 redbull...cost 55 bucks on the dot, that includes ~10 buck tip, so nothing out of control

it's got to be a pretty sh*tty joint for me to not have a good time at club. but then again maybe thats because im handsome and i know how to dance. and i was there with the hottest girl.

music was good, definetly a solid mix of ppl (although ive heard sometimes it can be all asian or a lot of indian ppl) there were some good lookin gals, some fat girls as always, didnt see any guys tryin to act hard, people were dancin, people were drinkin, what more could you be lookin for from another night at the club?

i would go to fluid again

Only reason why the got the extra star was for the DJ  actually had me dancing, till the other DJ got on @ midnight and I was bored.

Decor is pretty cool, but any club that has been opened in 2007, has mimic'd every club. White room, with pretty lights! OVERPLAYED! Be original

Bartender was nice though, quick drinks too but can be a bit pricey

If you want a quick cheap trick, you come here I'd say. Get here before 11:30 on the guest list, find the girl on the dance floor, buy her a 10 dollar drink, and you got a decent looking girl to take home for 10 bucks and a condom! YEAH!

Girls here arent that impressive and have a smut look on their face and look desperate for a guy to look at them

They let anyone in that is willing to pay the 10 dollar cover I guess. Dress code my ass!

The ratio is a 3:1 guys vs dudes, yeah...i think I found like, 2 attractive dudes in the sausagefest of a club.

Bouncers are ehhh....I like how they just walk in circles in the club....its like, 15 people per bouncer or something too. Sad....

So yeah, it'd be 1 star but DJ Marshall Law was there and had me and my friends on the dance floor for alittle bit so they got that extra star =)

Been here once before last weekend. And it was alright. Then came last weekend.

I got here a bit late but was still on the guest list. They charged me $25 to go in. JUST to go in. Only a ridiculous club charges $25 at midnight. Whatever. I'm not going here again.

All I can say is GO DJ, he made our night!! And thank you security for the free passes....

This was my 2nd time @ Fluid in the past year, and nothing has changed, it's still small as Hell, but the drinks are resonable, and the crowd was mixed and having a great time...

it's a cool looking lounge, just not much of a dance floor, and the bathroom could use some more light!

I left at almost 2 and the DJ was still crankin out all the greatest  jams, which is very unusual and greatly appreciated!

I don't know how to best describe the lit floor, so I'll just call it a "futuristic retro."  It was both clean cut and a little Soul Train-ish.

Lines at the bar were pretty quick but the bathrooms get backed up.  Everyone was surprised at how the guys' line was way longer than the girls'.

I wonder if Fluid's management reads or even cares about these reviews.

I wish I had read some reviews before coming here but unless somebody has a time machine they would like to lend me it looks like I'm SOL'ed.

Fluid tries really hard to appear like a trendy club but, just like a mirage, you come to terms with reality upon closer inspection.

Let's first talk about club lines. I get it. Clubs want to have guest lists and lines to create the façade that the locale is "poppin." Clubs also sell their bottle service, under the guise of luxury service, to reinforce consumer's notions of exclusivity. In addition to their attempts at milking their cash cows dry, lines are convenient ways of crowd control and safety.

Great, NO problem, this is the same as any other club. But, what I don't get, is if the place is NOT "poppin" why put up the whole charade?

Sixteen of us came at 11:45 pm, which granted is past their 11pm guest list curfew, but we had friends who came much earlier and already bought bottles. They make us wait in the non existent line as we try to coordinate tickets out. Unfortunately for us, we had mutual friends that just earlier and used some of the bottle service space, leaving my group short several tickets. We know, since we have people already inside, that the place is pretty much empty and the bouncers know we have our party inside already. So why not continue the merrymaking? The place is empty. Let our grand band inside so we can blow our fat wads of cash on this ludicrous establishment and create tales worth laughing in tears over, for the next 20 years? Girls get in free, great, but guys twenty dollars a head.

When that absurd statement left the bouncer's mouth, my head just rolled. My berries even coiled from my satchel back into my body cavity, as they did not want to have any part of a world where such outlandish proposals existed. Okay obviously an exaggeration, but needless to say out group was shocked and the mood soured. If it wasn't for our friends waiting for us already inside, we would have just blown off Fluid, walk over to the pub around the corner(literally a block away) and buy a couple rounds each with that cover charge money. That's a two drink charge before you even step into the place. This isn't Vegas, as much as I wished I was in Vegas, but to get a Wendy's patty while paying for Kobe beef is a bit infuriating.

The bouncers could sense we were going to leave and they obviously knew that Fluid could use more people and subsequent alcohol sales so they decide to haggle. They tried to pretend like they are doing a huge favor to you but really they just want a little tip for themselves. Bouncers got it rough, I sympathize with those that have to deal with drunks on a nightly basis, but next time just directly ask for a tip to bypass the club. I would more happily give the bouncer, instead of the club, ten dollars but they were being difficult. Anyway you know they are desperate when with every re-negotiation they give in more and the price drops. Eventually the total price went from $180 dollars in cover, to $20. You guys seriously giving us a hard time to shake us down over a couple dollars a person? The time wasted would have yielded you much more in drinks consumed. That should have been the wailing ambulance siren, or flood light to the face warning that Fluid is dead.

Whatever. We walk in and strut our peacock feathers.

The place is small and LOUD. You'll either be into the music and dancing or the music's vibrations will move you around like you are on a jackhammer. They have an island bar with 3-4 bartenders and a dance floor the size six parking spaces. Even though the place didn't have too many people the dance floor was somewhat crowded as the music was okay. They have a roped off VIP section which is about the same size as the dance floor. Luckily promoters provided neon wrist bands to enter so we can join the rest of group. I do like this area because its more spacious and you can actually hear each other talk. More importantly they have a separate bar where you can order drinks much more quickly.

The drinks themselves were pricey and maybe even weak. I'm not too sure because I already came in pretty buzzed.

I do want to say that promoters, especially JASPER, is great. If the owners do see this, give this guy more money and power.

Oh and I actually liked the weird floor lighting. Rest of the decor was okay, but nothing to make me think that the place is that swanky. The ground was also pretty gross. Thanks to the lighting you can easily see the various jack/coke or beer spills all over the floor. I also got to see somebody add their stomach concoction to the floor's art. In hindsight, I wish contributed as well. I still am trying to figure out how to justify this place as high end.

I would give this place two stars but really the unnecessary entrance treatment and self purported hype really turned the place into a major let down.

Drink is pretty good here, with reasonable pricing.

The floor lights up and changes color, cool.

Music is too loud....I hate loud music (again, why am I even clubbing in the first place)

Get over yourself. This is not Las Vegas or LA. I was here quite a while ago, so I'm not sure if things have improved but my first experience was so wack that I probably won't return. I got there with friends before 11, around 10:30. Some folks would consider that early but I wasn't trying to pay cover that night. They made us wait in a line for about 15 or 20 minutes. A line that only consisted of myself and my 3 friends, what the deuce? What was the point of that? The crowd that night consisted of velvet blazers and pointy boots and coochie/boobie exposing polyester blend dresses. The DJ was forgettable.

The only pluses are the decor and the location (walkable from Montgomery Bart).

My friend should be shot with a paintball gun for recommending this place.

Fluid's VIP Bottle Service:

- A couch in the middle of the dance floor
- $300 for a small bottle of Grey Goose - not even the large bottle. We all got one round if that. What is the point of VIP? We were better off paying the cover and buying our own drinks.
- I love to dance and the DJ had me bored

If you're going to drop that kind of money (and the only reason we did was for a friends 30th Birthday) you are so much better off going to Harlot, Slide, Vessel, (bigger bottles = bigger bang for your buck)

Seriously, the money would had been well worth it if we had a good time, but majority of us (party of 22) were not impressed at all, and half the party including myself left at midnight out of boredom and just being over the music, crowd, and initial crap of an experience.

The cocktail servers however were very nice to us. Cheers.
