Neighborhoods: Southeast Portland, BelmontThe only thing that as good as a sexual orgasmic experience, is the Raspberry Mocha from Floyd's. Hot or cold, you can't do wrong. I love me the punch card too, it makes me excited every time I saw the sexy yellow sign. *smoochies Floyd's*

These baristas sure know their stuff. I don't drive through anymore, the wait is longer unless you're the first, so I just park and walk in. Some of the best coffee in a city of great coffee!

I discovered Floyd's when my kid was a mere baby -- he'd fall asleep in the carseat, in winter, just when I NEEDED coffee. I typically like going to coffeeshops for the atmosphere as well as the drinks, but this was a time when only a drive-through would do. I went to the (now-late) Coffee People drive-through a few times, but their coffee was pretty mediocre, save for the Velvet Hammer.
And then I found Floyd's drive-through, which I'd somehow overlooked despite being pretty close to my house. The coffee is great, the lattes are smooth, and the service is friendly. Plus it's got the local, hip atmosphere that I like to support. Now that my kid's older, I actually go into the Floyd's building; it's a bit cramped but warm and charming.
I only take off a star because it sometimes seems they serve their indoor customers much faster than those in the drive-through ... I've been waiting in the car line and witnessed several people enter the building and sashay out minutes later with their drinks, while the car in front of me is still waiting for its single latte. This could just be an occasional fluke, though. It's usually worth the wait.

When I moved to Portland I ended up renting an apartment mere steps from Floyd's, and I think this coffee shop had every thing to do with my decision. It's tiny and there tends to be a line out the door during high-coffee-demand times, but it's worth it: the coffee (Stumptown!) is delicious, the people behind the counter are delightful, and the pastries have never let me down. Thank you, Floyd's, for thoroughly enchanting the neighborhood.

The novelty of Floyd's is undoubtedly the drive-through window, but behind the window is a truly good Portland coffeeshop with all the local trimmings! Where else but Portland can you be served Stumptown coffee and vegan scones from the hands of friendly, hip, and young baristas straight into your car? I go here everytime I get a flexcar and I still love the novelty. When not in a car, Floyd's is still very much worth a visit--the interior is small but cozy and well decorated with family photos of Floyd himself, from his infancy to his old age.

Floyd's is an itty bitty coffee shop with the unique claim of a drive-thru window. It's got to be one of the only drive-thru coffee shops in downtown Portland, and it's located on Morrison just a few blocks before the bridge into downtown.
Floyd's has wi-fi and a few tables, but it feels like a spot to pass through. They carry Stumptown coffee and a selection of pastries. Cute and yellow, it's a neighborhood spot to pick up coffee and stroll down the block.
Great place to grab a coffee and free wifi in close-in SE, especially on a nice afternoon when you're sitting outside. Can't miss the bright yellow building.
