The Newport steaks here really do make Florence Prime Meats the best butcher in town.  They have a variety of other cuts, as well as various cuts of lamb, pork, and delicious sausages.  

My friend and I both felt antisocial most of the weekend, so we trekked down to the Village to pick up some steaks.  We picked up two Newport steaks, cooked them up to a rare in a wonderfully-seasoned cast-iron skillet with some asparagus and a bottle of Pinot Noir, and had one of the most decadently lazy meals we've had in a while.

Don't feel like going out on a rainy weekend, but still want to have some fun?  Steaks, wine, and hilarious conversation is a good way to go!

Unhelpful and unfriendly. Couldn't be bothered to answer questions. Maybe I got them on a bad day. The only reason why they've got two stars is because they had a funny gray cat walking about the joint like he owns it.

This is the best butcher in the city. Amazing prices, any cut you can imagine. Not much more to say except that I won't buy meat anywhere else. The Newport Steaks are the best deal in town!!
