The Floodgate used to be a general store in the 80s before it became a restaurant. It looked like a store our of Mayberry and we used to get our supplies from there. I remember ordering ham and swiss cheese sandwiches from the deli that were amazing. I'm glad they are still there, but I miss the old store.

Francois is right, it is a jewel! Great tacos, flautas, rice and beans, burritos. Basic taqueria fair but fresh. You can tell they start with high quality ingredients. And it's nice to sit next to locals on what can be a very tourist-centric road.

Ah, grocery store? No, this hidden jewel is a great Mexican restaurant located next door to Claudia Springs Winery/Harmonique where I work. SUPERB tortas, carnitas, tacos... everything here is amazing and good! I only gave it four stars because their hours vary sometimes and it makes me cry when I have tortas on the brain and I show up to work and they are closed!!!
