I think I might be a handful when I go to get a haircut. Clueless about etiquette, neurotic while trying to explain what I want. And my hair is fussier than I am.
Cherita has now cut my hair twice, making her the only professional stylist I have visited more than once. She is super nice and she has now given me both a cool, pixie-ish haircut and a sleeker one. She seems to intuitively understand me and my hair and cares enough to work until it is perfect, even at the end of a long day.
They give you coffee!
Love the Aveda hair products and sleek but comfy 2nd floor space in the Edgewood shopping area. Sarah was my stylist- she did an OK job and was really nice, but I couldn't help leaving disappointed because my hair was the EXACT same style as when I arrived, just about an inch shorter. $50 is fine for a haircut, but is a little too much to pay for the exact same thing I had going in...I'm generally of the "it's just hair" lot- I give stylists a lot of leeway so definitely disappointed on the lack of creativity on this one. But it wasn't a bad haircut per se, so...3 stars.
Great space, great location and Britney is a great stylist. Most of the staff are hipsters, but they understand that we can't all have hipster hair in corporate America. Go see Britney and get your do faded up.
