We visited Fleming's before a Blue Man Group show, and tried out the $6 appetizers in the bar (I think that price is only good until 7pm). We had to wait for about 10 minutes to get a seat, but the bartender was friendly and they serve Red Hook IPA, which is nice. They have no beer taps, so bottles only.

The food was all pretty good, but the stand-outs were the ahi tuna and the mushroom ravioli. I will go back again and get the burger (mostly for filler) and one of these apps for a good $12 meal.

I'm always hesitant to try steak chains, but Fleming's impressed me! Everything was great-- from the service, steaks, sides, to the dessert! Highly recommend Flemings over Morton's or Capital Grille.

The bread and cheese spreads were delicious, it could be a meal in itself. We started the meal off with oysters, followed by filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was so tender and juicy! The meat melted in your mouth. We ordered the mac and cheese for a side and it had good flavor. Not creamy enough for me, but I'd order it again.

To finish off the night, we ordered the chocolate lava cake - A MUST ORDER. It was the perfect dessert to end the night. The chocolate lava cake comes with two scoops of vanilla ice cream with chopped pistachios. The cake was light and spongy, and the chocolate center oozed out with that first spoonful. I'm not usually a fan of pistachio, but the nuts added an extra crunch of texture to the creamy chocolate and ice cream.

I came here with a group of friends for Restaurant Week. It was $33 for 3 courses, great deal! We started off with drinks. I got the Vintage Martini which was excellent -- it comes with blue cheese stuffed olives, yum! The house wines are decent and didn't leave me with a wine headache.

I started out with Tuna Tartar. I've never had it before so thought I'd give it a try since it was Restaurant Week. It was delicious! I don't have much to compare it to but I've heard Tuna Tartar can be spicy at some places or over peppered -- this one wasn't!

I would come back here for the bread basket and spreads that they serve alone! There was a Gorgonzola spread and a sun dried tomato spread that were to die for.

The filet was my main course, with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was perfect. The steak was juicy yet small (6oz). The potatoes and asparagus were perfect complements to the steak.

For dessert they offered a Turtle pie which I only had a few bites of because I was stuffed. It was delicious and enough to share.

Overall, I will be back again! I'm not sure I will come back when it's not restaurant week though because the regular menu is quite pricey.

I may be partial to Fleming's; my family and I have been dining here for years - whether it's a night out w/ the family, birthdays, Easter, many dates, New Year's Eve dinner... we even celebrated my mother's 60th birthday w/ Fleming's in one of their private rooms last year.

We keep coming back not only for the consistently delciious food, but the amazing hospitality given to us by the waitstaff, bartenders, and managers each time we come back in for a visit.

They also have one of the most incredible wine selections, even by the glass, that I have ever seen.

Here are some favorite's from the menu:

    Appetizers:

    Sweet Chile Calamari
    Seared Ahi Tuna
    Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes

    Salads:

You can't go wrong with any of their four options.  I tend to keep away from the Caesar Salad - it's delicious, but can be a little too garlicky for my taste.  I highly recommend the Fleming's Salad (greens, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, tomatoes, onions and croutons).

    Steaks:

My go to is the Light Filet Mignon.  It's a 6oz filet that's served with their famous Fleming's Potatoes (in the realm of scalloped potatoes with a cheese and a spicy kick added to them w/ some jalapenos).  It's the right portion of meat and potatoes for me!

I've also had the porcini rubbed filet; fantastic.

On Sunday's, they have a really great Prime Rib dinner special; comes with your choice of three salad options, one side, and one dessert - highly recommend this as well!  Their PR is heavenly!

    Fish:

My favorites are their Barbeque Scottish Salmon and the Seared Scallops.  You also can't go wrong with the King Crab Legs!

    Notable Sides:

    Parmesan Peppercorn Mashed Potatoes
    Chipotle Mac & Cheese
    Creamed Spinach
    Grilled Asparagus
    Sauteed French Green Beans

    Dessert:

Just get the Chocolate Lava Cake.  You won't be disappointed.  Make sure you ask your waiter 20 minutes or so prior to ordering this, since they are made to order!

And finally, if you find yourself at the bar, drooling over their prime burger menu, go for either their filet mignon burger or the seared tuna burger.  They are droolworthy.

Fleming's' 5 for $6 'til 7 is undoubtedly a good deal (if you know of any other fine dining restaurants where you can get four appetizers and a burger for $30, holla at me), but the majority of the dishes my roommate and I tried simply missed the mark. The seared ahi tuna was chewy, while the "Wicked Cajun Barbecue Shrimp" were overcooked and tough, and not the least bit wicked. The roasted mushroom ravioli were rather bland, but palatable. The sweet chile calamari, on the other hand, were fantastic--tender with just the right amount of breading, and laced with a sweet and savory chile glaze. The portion size was generous, but I probably could have eaten an entire boatload more. The burger was moist and delicious, as you would expect from a steakhouse of Fleming's' caliber, helping to top the night off right.

So while the food was really hit or miss, I'd still recommend the 5 for $6 'til 7 deal providing you only order certain dishes. Get the calamari (and maybe the tenderloin carpaccio, seeing as that was the only one we failed to try) and a couple burgers, and I guarantee you will walk away happy.

I was invited to a team dinner and was really excited because I have never been before.  The wait staff was extremely nice and helpful.  The group consisted of folks from out of state and others who we never met before so we started yapping the minute we sat and it took us a while to look at the menu.  Our waiter (forgot his name) was pretty cool about it and didn't seem to get upset over it.

We started off with drinks (obviously!!) and he recommended the Cloudy Bay Savignon Blanc to go with my dinner choice of sole.  The wine was yummy and dry which is exactly how I like it.  We then ordered some appetizers - calamari and roasted mushroom ravioli's AMAZING!! The calamari were actually tasty and had my favorite peppers around them and sweet chile sauce which was a nice twist to them.

I ended up ordering the Sole and wasn't a huge fan because it was lightly breaded and kind of plain tasting.  I should've ordered a steak considering it was a steak house but was in the mood for fish.

Honestly, the service was great and company I was with made it that much better.  I will definitely come back and try the steak and even check out the 5 for $6 til 7 deal.  That sounds like a deal.

We really enjoyed our rent trip to Flemings. They waitress allowed us to split our salad. Then the steaks were PERFECTLY cooked. One key - at least for those looking for a romantic evening - ask for the back room. It was much quieter and we were actually able to hear ourselves think. Overall, a really pleasant experience.

My family and DQ and I came here during restaurant week and it was a great experience. The decor is elegant with dim lighting and the service was great. This would be a great place for a nice occasion!

The steaks were delicious and so were the sides and appetizers and desserts. I really think this is a good choice if you're looking for a nice steakhouse. It's not the best steaks we've had (that goes to Capital Grille) but it's definitely still satisfying.

There is something to be said for consistency and reliability, especially when it comes to fine dining. Fleming's is a trustworthy answer to meeting high standards in both food and wine quality for carnivorous fare and Atkins-friendly cuisine that is sure to please.

Attracting a solid pre-theater crowd, as well as after-work suits, Fleming's offers a relaxing venue in the heart of downtown. A dark ambiance offers both intimate booths and smartly dressed tables surrounded by dark wood paneling and offset by a contemporary look: diamond patterned borders adorning the ceiling and wine bottles displayed within the dining room.

Be prepared: the evening will definitely be one of overindulgence. If you cringe at the thought of spending money on a fine dining experience that lends itself to offering petite entrees that appear more like art than food, then this is definitely your spot. Generous portions will be sure not to leave you feeling peckish once you leave the premises.

As you peruse the very notable wine list, which offers 100 classic and boutique wine selections by the glass, nibble on the garlic crostini served with a Champagne-infused Brie spread and a luscious Cabernet Goat Cheese spread. Knowledgeable wait staff will also prepare three 2-oz wine selections as tailored wine-flights. For those who feel more indulgent, Fleming's offers a Reserve List of 80 excellent 'reserve' wine choices (I was pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of 1999 Penfolds Grange as an offering!).

The appetizers offer an assortment to meet all tastes, from seafood to soup and salads. We were tempted by the Lobster Tempura plate for two, a large portion of 1.5 lobster tails cut lengthwise and served still attached on the shell over a bed of crispy rice noodles. Tender lobsters were surrounded by a very light tempura batter and cooked golden brown; even when we left it to cool, its texture remained amazingly light and fluffy...just excellent! The very viscous jalapeno pepper sauce and the tangy lemon-lime tartar sauce complemented the tempura quite nicely.

The Sweet Chile Calamari was a very healthy portion of lightly battered calamari served in a sweet chile sauce with slices of tender red capsicum. Finally, the Warm Spinach and Mushroom Salad was an excellent choice - heated to perfection to allow the baby spinach leaves to still maintain crispness, the salad was accented by goat cheese, red and yellow grape tomatoes, roasted red capsicum, and a red onion balsamic concoction lightly accented by the flavors of soy and cranberry. Superb.

Executive chef Jason Carron and his staff arrive at the restaurant by 10am daily to check produce and hand cut the meat - around 200 lbs per day. This guarantees that the finest cuts are served to customers. Fleming's beef is corn-fed, USDA prime, wet-aged up to four weeks to preserve and intensify flavor and texture.

The 16 oz. Australian Lamb Chops were phenomenal - three double thick chops broiled to perfection and served with a delectable veal-based champagne mint sauce. The Chef's Mixed Grill featured a ribeye and bacon-wrapped scallop combination - the ribeye was full of flavor and each scallop was tender and bursting with juices.

Side dishes were filling and hearty - exactly what was needed to complement the prime meats in which we indulged. The Onion Rings are certain to arouse conversation amongst neighboring tables: ten 5-inch diameter Vidalia onions breaded golden to perfection and piled high into a pyramid, served with a chipotle chili mayonnaise. Fleming's also offers a signature potato dish - scalloped potatoes creamier than mom makes, served topped with a thick skin of cheddar cheese and jalapenos. We also tried the creamed corn, topped with gruyere and parmesan cheeses, and the creamed spinach - a very rich rendition on this steak-accompanying classic.

And, if you have made it this far, you must indulge in an after-dinner sweet. Fleming's offers a Martini and Specialty Drinks list alongside an indulgent list of traditional favorites. The Key Lime Pie is a generous slice of creamy decadence - a thick graham cracker crust filled with a rich and very smooth tart lime filling. The baked cheesecake is velvety in texture and melts in the mouth - deceitfully light in taste. To be certain that patrons max out on the caloric intake, each dessert is accompanied by a pot of freshly whipped cream.

One thing is certain - if you crave carnivorous fare, Fleming's won't disappoint. Even my ex-varsity runningback guest felt defeated by our dinner. Carron and his team should be applauded for an evening that delivered and, after a few days of recovery, left us wanting to come back for more.

I don't usually dine at these type of steak houses. I was invited last night with a group of 30 people to dinner in one of their private rooms, the food was very good, but the service was fabulous.  We had a waiter whose name was Matt, very tall shaved head, he was the best! His attention to everything was really great, it's people like Matt who make a good restaurant, a GREAT restaurant. Keep it up Matt!!!!!

It's been about six months since my last visit to Fleming's, but in terms of a good steakhouse, this is it.  The food is consistently amazing, the wine list excellent and well priced, and they always have some great deals.

About a year ago, I took my husband and the service was less than optimal due to some personal issues the bartender had, but upon discussion with the General Manager, everything was taken care of very professionally. It was the best cusotmer service response we have ever had.

My favorite thing to do is share an appetizer (the caprese salad is amazing), get my filet mignon while my husband gets his ribeye, share a side of green beans with a glass of Zin and then share a dessert. Everything is always well cooked, well seasoned. The blueberry cheesecake rivaled what I used to make as a pastry chef. Yum!

This is a staple restaurant for us and we will always use it to celebrate special occasions!

Had a great restaurant week dinner at Fleming's.  As with all the big steakhouses, going for restaurant is a steal.  Our server, Arielle, was fantastic- helpful and knowledgeable.  To be totally honest, the steaks were a bit overdone and over-salted, but still delicious filet mignon.  The desserts were great and I could've eaten that whole bowl of chantilly cream they serve with dessert.  They also do a wine flight where you pick any 3 wines and get a 3oz pour of each and they price according to which you pick.  I thought this was a great way to try some of the more expensive wines without committing to a whole glass.  I recommend the Rex Hill Pinot Noir.

I personally think Ruth's Chris is better for ambiance and steak being cooked just right, but the service at Fleming's gave them huge points in my book.

Went there with a group of 8 people on a tuesday night restuarant week.

Ahi tuna salad - 3 stars - the quality of the fish wasn't that great.

Filet with Stuffed Shrimp -  4 stars - The filet was so tender, moist and great cut.   Didin't really like the Stuffed Shrimp (it was loaded with salt)

Garlic mashed potatos - 4 stars  Smooth textures and well flavors.

Pecan pie - 4 stars (much better than cheesecake)

    Service - 5 stars

Everything was delicious.  It was a perfect night out for a large group of peeps.

Really expected more. Flemings was the classic steakhouse experience - usual menu, decor and atmosphere. That's not a bad thing, it's just if it's going to be like every other steakhouse, then the food should be what is exceptional. It wasn't. The Filet was average at best and really it all comes down to the Filet for me.

I was a patron of Fleming's in Madison, WI and loved their drinks, the food, and the quality of the service. Now that I'm back in my hometown, I'm so pleased to learn there is a Fleming's here too! And it has all the charm and delectability of it's midwestern location.

Erica was our server by the bar when some friends and I went for their happy hour (5 appetizers @ $6 each until 7pm) this past Friday, and she was a hoot. We loved how attentive, chatty and fun she was. We also loved all the food we got; you cannot beat a full plate of tenderloin carpaccio with crispy, cheesy bread slices and homemade horseradish for only $6! And they have a full sized burger available for the happy hour price too: cheddar cheese with black pepper bacon. Absolutely perfect, almost as good as I would expect a burger from Bartley's in Harvard to be! And that's really sayin' something.

The C-squared is my favorite cocktail on the menu. Refreshing cucumber, vodka, and mint makes for such an amazing drink with a heavy dinner like tenderloin and a burger! But the drink list is extensive beyond that. Expect to pay well for them, but at least you know you're getting something quality.

All in all, Fleming's provides a delicious meal and well-made drinks from a staff that knows what they're doing and will treat you extremely well.

Lovely evening at Fleming's recently. I stop by from time to time for a glass of wine and a light meal at the bar, which offers some good happy hour food prices. However, on this evening, I sat in the dinning room and ordered a full dinner. I am a big fan of the side dishes there. You could make a meal from them alone. However, what made the evening was the good steak and wine advice from my server, Ariel.

Overall, a nice place whether for a fancy dinner or something more casual. Service is always friendly, wine list is impressive and food is well rounded and tasty.

Instead of raving about the spectacular food (which it was), I have to state how gracious the Fleming folks were (hostess/waiter/servers) were when my 10 year old daughter and I arrived 45 minutes late due to traffic.  As we were going to see the Rockettes, we had only 50 minutes to eat.  Not only did they save our table and treat us like royalty, but they hurried our order for us (in a good way), got us our check and then DROVE us to our destination up the street in their car.   Food was stunningly good;filets, carrots, baked potato, mac and cheese-wow.  Malik, our waiter could not have been classier or nicer to us.  Have been to many high end restaurants over the years due to work, but this was special.

I had made a pre-theatre reservation for tomorrow night and called the place today to ask a couple of questions. They offer a deal in which you can select however many of five predetermined appetizers (or five cocktails or five desserts) for $6 each at the bar until 7 pm and I thought this was a better option for us. And we didn't want to spend $40 on a slab of beef that may not be comparable to that of Capital Grille.

After I gave my name to the hostess so we could cancel the reservation and then asked about the bar area, I received a curt reply and I believe the hostess just hung up: no goodbye. I hope I'm wrong. I was still talking.

Needless to say, no visit to the bar tomorrow night. There are plenty of other choices and perhaps people who actually want our business, even if it's for a few $6 appetizers.

Will give 2 stars instead of 1, in the slight chance that I misread the hangup.

If Restaurant Week gives a restaurant the right to slack off, then Fleming's used it extremely well.

The audacity of an upscale steakhouse to serve me a well done steak when I asked for barely seared.

My filet mignon looked like a big piece of steak tip, poorly cut.
The two stuffed shrimp next to it were even more dismal in comparison. The plating lacked appeal and made the food look like leftovers.
It was hastily prepared, hastily served and was too salty for my taste.
The sides were good though, especially the mushrooms, and portioned to share.

The server (or whoever) messed up on half of our orders. The medium rare bone in ribeye had no bone and was fully cooked. (So he got his dessert comped. The chocolate lava cake was pretty good, especially the side of ice cream, and was nicely presented.) Four people got their orders swapped. One person ordered the new york strip, rare and got it medium well. What's going on?!?!

Overall, Fleming's has decent sides and tasty desserts (chocolate lava cake, walnut turtle pie), but poor entrees and service. Hmmm....

In the end, the server gave us $25 gift cards but I don't plan on using it.

Went for restaurant week and our meals were fantastic! Got clam chowder, filet, stuffed shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and turtle pie for dessert... SUCH a bargain!

We enjoyed the dim candlelit romantic atmosphere, even though the guy at the table next to us could be heard throughout the restaurant. Our server was friendly, prompt and helpful. Best Happy Hour experience ever! The bartenders were the nicest people this side of Mother Teresa and gave us so much free stuff. Breakdown of the evening went something like this:

First cocktail for me: Tropical Martini

    Snack: Free potato chips

First cocktail for friend: Farmer's Daughter

FREE booze: A rose (which my friend gave to me after a sip because it was too sweet for her)

    Order food

Food arrives: Tenderloin carpaccio (so good), sweet Chile calamari (eh), seared ahi tuna (fantastic)

    FREE booze: Champagne from Italy

Eating, munching: Bartender sheepishly asks if we can move down a seat so a party of 2 can also sit at the bar. We happily acquiesce. He promises to make it up to us "for being so nice".

FREE dessert: Given a chocolate lava cake (quite possibly my favorite dessert ever) accompanied with vanilla ice cream, chopped pistachios and a side dish of homemade whipped cream. Sweet, sugary heaven.

FREE booze: Glass of white. Just cuz.

Me likey freebies and Fleming's very much.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse is a Capital Grille meets Ponderosa Steakhouse. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Staff and service is plentiful with excellent warmth and genuine interest. Knowledge is slightly below average, especially on the extensive wine list. The food is quite below average. I dined on the price fix menu, which included the filet mignon, a side of spinach and a rich chocolate (flour less) dessert. Very average at best and I cannot recommend such food items. The wine list was intriguing and I sampled a wine flight. Although the flight I chose did not inspire me, I applaud Fleming's creativity in endeavoring to provide maximum wines by the glass/flight. I appreciated this concept!

Overall, there are much better places to dine in Boston if you crave a steakhouse.

Went to Flemings with a friend last night for Restaurant week. Went with no reservation and ended up getting the last seat in the lounge. If I went again, I would get a reservation first. The bread came out with a garlic butter and a sun dried tomato butter. They were both good. For the app one of us ordered Lobster bisque, the other had the ahi tuna. Bisque was ok, but ahi was great. We both ordered the mixed grill. It was 5 oz fillet and 2 stuffed shrimp. This was excellent. They had several items off their regular menu that was on the list as well. They had 8 oz fillet, Scottish Salmon, and a chicken dish. We both had cheese cake for dessert. It was fine. We had a great server named Erin. She was friendly and knew the menu well.

This is all really a great deal. Many of the entrees alone are on their main menu and cost more than the entire rest week menu. This is certainly one of the better deals out there for Rest week. Happy dining.

Went to Fleming's for restaurant week with a friend.  I thought that overall, the meal was good, but far from anything to rave about.

I had the Caesar salad, which was okay.  Portion size alright, dressing not bad, and sadly mine had no Parmesan.  Next was the Petit Filet, which was ordered medium-rare and was cooked very well.  It was super tender, but like some others have said, surprisingly lacking in flavor.  Good texture, but serious lack of seasoning?  This equals a "meh" in my book.  Came with green beans, which were garlicky and one of my favorite parts of the meal, and scalloped potatoes, which were smothered in cheese.  Usually I like things smothered in cheese, but when I can see the layer of oil sitting there, not so much.  Lastly I had the blueberry cheesecake, which I actually really liked.  Light, fluffy, with a delicious sauce.  The piece was tiny though, and the sauce was scarce (hint: 3 itty-bitty blueberries are not enough).

Overall, it was a good place to try out for restaurant week, but there is no way I would go back and spend the oodles of money they would demand for a similar meal.

Had dinner here Friday night with my girl and it was just superb, My steak was just delicious made my whole weekend. I haven't been here in a while and it's good to know everything is consistent.

What more can you say about Flemings that hasn't been said?

We went before the Vince Gill show at the Wilbur last week, based on Yelp reviews that mentioned the appetizer special menu. Yelpers, you didn't steer us wrong! We sat at the bar, and Paul brought us fresh potato chips & the looong wine list. We started with the sweet chili calimari & seared tuna apps. Both delicious and worth far more than the $6 special price. We then got the $6 burgers -- so tasty & juicy, served with cheddar & pepper bacon on a swirled egg roll (and with two perfect onion rings!). We'll certainly come back  here again.

When you spend 40 bucks on a steak, you expect that the restaurant is a step up from the usual. In all respects.

Fleming's is a very good restaurant. Service, in particular, is about as good as it gets. Unfortunately, the food doesn't quite reach the lofty heights of some of the other Boston premier steak restaurants.

I started with the french onion soup. Very flavorful, but it was not quite classic (in both taste and presentation), so it didn't quite do it for me. My wife is vegetarian (which can be a challenge at a steak place), so she started with a wedge salad (with a superb blue cheese dressing) and followed up with several sides. The rings and fries were very good, the rings having particular visual impact. They're huge. The creamed spinach was tasty, although I found it to have too much cream and not enough spinach.

My steak, a NY strip, was very good and cooked perfectly, but not quite knock-your-socks-off.

The highlight was probably the chocolate walnut pie. Perfect. Not too sweet, and the chocolate and walnut flavors balanced perfectly. With a huge bowl of chantilly cream. Really good.

Parking sucks, of course, but they do validate parking in the nearby lot.

So based on taste and value, I can only give a four. Their prices are a shade under the other high end steak places, but once you're in this range you might as well spend a touch more but get the extra quality.

I visited Fleming's last night for Restaurant Week.  It was delicious!

I enjoyed the look of the restaurant, but it wasn't unique or different from any other higher end restaurant in the area.  Predictable but well done.  The waitstaff was pleasant and for the most part appeared when needed and gave us time when we needed it.  The only hitch was the delivery of the wrong entree but this was fixed immediately.

To start I had the Caesar salad - well done, not presented well, but tasty.  The filet mignon with madeira sauce was phenomenal.  Cooked perfectly, so tender and almost melt-in-your mouth.  The scalloped potatoes and green beans were also amazing!  Dessert was forgettable, but I didn't go to Fleming's for dessert!

Definitely 5 stars for one of the best filets I've ever had!

I was here for the first time yesterday for the Happy Hour Bar Menu which is 5 appetizers for $6 before 7PM.

Food and service were very good. I do wish they would increase the lights just a tad.

Everyone got the burger which is delicious.  I think what makes it special is the bun which is more like a pretzel sliced in half.  They also actually got my burger medium rare rather than medium. Kudos for that!

For appetizers we got the calamari and carpaccio.  The calamari was extremely flavorful but did need to be fried a little more to get some crispiness, but the Beef Carpaccio was divine.  Best appetizer ever.

Warning - No specials on the drinks.  I looked at the website online and really wanted the 2 Guinnesses for $6 but apparently no deals on alcohol in Boston.  So i bought a Guinness for $6.50 instead =(

    Otherwise, I definitely recommend!

I've been to Flemings for dinner before and was not a fan, mostly because of the service, but partially because of the food.  I went back this past week for their Happy Hour, however, and it's definitely improved my opinion of this restaurant.

Flemings has a 5 appetizers for $6 until 7pm Happy Hour special Mon-Fri.  I hear the apps change from time to time, but when I went they offered their Prime Burger, Beef Carpaccio, Seared Tuna Sashimi, Mushroom Ravioli, and Fried Calamari.

I cannot vouch for the Ravioli or the Calamari since I didn't try it, but I snuck a glance at our neighboring eaters and the dishes looked mighty tasty.

The tuna was alright.  Tasty but nothing special.  It was lighted seared and sliced tuna served with a spicy mustard dipping sauce and some slaw on the side.  I've had the dish a million times at numerous other restaurants.

The Prime Burger was delicious though, and I would highly recommend it.  The beef was very juicy and tender and was topped with spicy thick cut bacon.  I've never had spicy bacon before, but it definitely added an extra something to the burger.  The dish also came with two gigantic onion rings, which were crisp and not too oniony.

The Carpaccio melted in my mouth and I could have eaten much more of it were it not for the limits of my weak stomach.  Thinking about it right now is making me salivate like Pavlov's dog.  I liked the burger a lot, but I loved this dish.  I could definitely eat it all day every day.

As for the service, they could have been a little bit more attentive, but definitely much improved from my past dinner service experience.  I'll cut them some slack though since the bar area was pretty busy.

We visited Flemings on a Friday night in December 2010 for my birthday. We made the reservation on the web, got there right on time, and were seated immediately. The waiter came over immediately, introduced himself, and knew our names (well, OK, he assumed my wife was Mrs. S. when in fact she uses her own name, but NBD). He also asked if was a special occasion and my wife announced it was my birthday. If they let you request a waiter, ask for Peter - in addition to his skills as a waiter, my wife says he's very cute (not my area of expertise).

Because we are old farts and don't eat as much as we used to, we did our usual and shared an appetizer, entree, and salad. Unlike other places we have eaten, there were no raised eyebrows and no charge for a second plate. Points on.

For appetizer we chose the Roasted Mushroom Ravioli. It was delicious, with an equally-delicious sauce. For salad we ordered the Fleming's Salad (fresh seasonal greens, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, tomatoes and croutons), which was also delicious.

For wine, we ordered two glasses: the SENSUAL, Mendoza Argentina, 2009, which was excellent, and the PARÉS BALTÀ, Cabernet-Garnacha Penedés Mas Petit Spain, 2007, which was outstanding. If you go, get the PARÉS BALTÀ. You won't regret it.

Our entree was the Bone-in Ribeye with a side of Half and Half (double-cut shoestring fries and onion rings). The steak was done exactly as requested (medium), was extremely tender, and very tasty. The Half and Half, which others have recommended here, was also excellent. And as we usually do, we did not finish everything and took the leftovers home in a doggie bag. Fortunately, we don't have a dog so we were forced to eat it ourselves....

Finally, I could not resist the Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert and I was not disappointed. It was fantastic. As an added touch, they brought it with a birthday candle in the ice cream. And mercifully the staff did NOT sing Happy Birthday!

The atmosphere was exactly what you would want for an intimate meal - invisible. We were able to concentrate on the meal and our conversation without feeling intruded upon by anything else going on in the dining area.

So: Food - Excellent; Service - Top-notch; Atmosphere - Delightful.

Cost? Well, yeah, it's pricey. We had a gift card, which made the evening very affordable (and yes, we tipped on the full price). If we'd been paying full price we still would have loved the food and the experience - it's one of the few places I know that I would willingly pay those sorts of prices. We will be back, but we may have to wait until we get another gift card or our financial situation improves.

I would give it two stars, comparing it to restaurants in general; but it gets three compared to most steak houses in particular. Warning: I found this place to be overpriced. And if you are counting calories - run from this place as you would from an axe wielding maniac. Also, if you don't want to be surrounded by wine bottles, pictures of wine bottles or waiters talking incessantly about wine, then this is not your joint. Also, if you do not like looking at people stuffing their faces with hugely oversized portions of food, then this is not your restaurant. That said: service was perfect, and the food was of a high quality (except for the fact that I asked for the sole "light" on the butter, and it was basically this crazy butter stew with some sole underneath). OK, I'm making myself sick just writing about this. Post.

Recently came here for restaurant week. Their food is delicious. Everything from their appetizers (clam chowder was as good as anywhere in the Cape) and their filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The dessert, with the chantilly cream (made with fresh vanilla beans) was light and tasty.

The service was excellent. Our server, Malik, was pleasant, nice and very helpful with everything. Malik validated our ticket right before we left so we'd save $ on parking which was definitely a plus (parking was only $8!).
Also the manager gave a $25 gift card at the end of our meal to be used at anytime that we wish to come back.

I'd recommend trying to go here because it's very accessible and especially a lot cheaper to go to within the next couple of weeks.

For the ridiculous prices this place charges, I was expecting amazing food. I had the French Onion Soup, which was good, but by far from the best I have ever had. I ordered the Main Filet Mignon, asked for it medium. It was more on the medium rare side. For $40, I want that to be the best steak of my life. No where near. The sides were alright. I was with a party and we ordered a bunch. None of them were amazing. They were good but not great. I got the chocolate lava cake for desert and it did not taste fresh at all. The chocolate in the cake was grainy and the cake itself was a little flavorless. If you are looking to pay inflated prices for medium quality food, then enjoy. I would be willing to try the more appropriate priced bar menu though.

    Deliciousness!

Was here for the start of Boston Restaurant Week and Fleming's did not disappoint.

Seared ahi tuna appetizer:  Nice and simple...seared quality tuna served w/ julienne veggies.  Skip the spicy mustard sauce though...it doesn't need it.

Entree of salmon filet w/ BBQ glaze and 3-mushroom warm salad w/  shared sides of sauteed green beans and Flemings cheesy scalloped potatoes:  Salmon was perfectly cooked (I judge steakhouses on how they cook salmon, just like others judge on the way they cook their filet or strip).  Mushroom salad was a nice change from unoriginal sides that usually come with salmon dishes- tossed in a tasty balsamic vinaigrette.  The sides were plentiful- beans were a little over cooked but tasty, and the scalloped potatoes were nice and cheesy.

Walnut chocolate turtle pie w/ warm caramel for dessert:  So rich and to die for.  Warning- the caramel and chocolate are very sweet...order a coffee to compliment the tastes.

Service was phenomenal- the attention to detail (refilling water glasses), clearing the empty dishes, pouring wine, and the capper- noticing I had a parking garage ticket sticking out of my wallet on the table and offering to have it validated.

Ambiance of the restaurant was great- good lighting, open kitchen, cozy booths...all good.

You ever have one of those meals that isn't very good, but there's also nothing really specific to complain about? That's the way I felt about Fleming's. We were looking for a great steakhouse; we had already been to the Oak Room for lunch (yayyy gluttony!) and while Ruth's Chris has always been fantastic, we wanted to try something new so we gave Fleming's a shot.

We both had a filet and stuffed shrimp combo...both were just decent. Both steaks were ordered medium rare and came cooked perfectly...but neither of them had a whole bunch of flavor. The shrimp were tiny...I didn't know you could stuff a shrimp so small. Best parts of the meal were the sides...Fleming's potatoes and asparagus. Good to see a restaurant doing asparagus with some olive oil, salt and pepper instead of bathing in hollandaise sauce.

Desserts were very basic and unimaginative...plain cheesecake with blueberries and turtle pie. Both were on par for with something you'd get at a much lower-priced chain.

The service was good...prompt, and had a visit to the table from the manager to check on everything. I would have loved to tell him that it was just "mehhh", but I had no concrete evidence as to why my meal wasn't very good. Some meals are absolutely phenomenal and you can't wait to rave about them...some meals are so bad you can't wait to get the ear of the person in charge...and some meals are just forgettable. This was the certainly the third option.

I strongly doubt we'll be back...I expected much more.

First, I know this is technically a chain but not your average chain.

The food is what you would expect given the price tag.  And the service is spot on.

Looking for a GREAT steak and fine dining ...go here.  Much better than Davila's.
