YOU HAVE TO train with Melody!!

Do it NOW...

Thank me later.

I am serious (and since I am hardly EVER serious... you better read on)

She is ah-maaaa-zing.
I started working out with Melody in a bartering set up: she trained me in return for using my services as a music/guitar coach.

She more than "trained me". Oh man... did I get my butt kicked.
Since I sit all the time for my line of work, I was terribly out of shape when I started training with Melody.
In no time I lost a lot of weight, and became much more muscular.

In addition, unlike any other trainer, her complete mastery and immersion in all aspects of human physique, human mind and the mind body connection, gives her amazing skills and advantages that far exceed the knowledge and skills of ANY other trainer and massage therapist. Melody really does stand in a league of her own.

Example: when I first started training with Melody, I had a very weak lower back, so 10 minutes into my work out, my back was always killing me. She always noticed it instantly, had me lay flat on the floor, and she pressed with her thumbs in my lower back for about a minute. It is still a complete mystery to me how the hell she does that, but lo and behold: the pain TOTALLY disappeared INSTANTLY, and though she kept on kicking my butt for 50 more minutes of work out right after, the pain NEVER reappeared during or after the work out. After a month or so, my core muscles had gotten strong enough and I had no more lower back issues.
It's like magic... I have no idea how she does that: from complete pain to completely healed in less than 60 seconds.

I have recommended Melody over and over again to everybody in my life who needs massage therapy or training  (which is pretty much EVERYBODY I know haha).

I very strongly recommend her.
I don't know ANYONE in her field who has Melody's versatility in training and massage disciplines, depth, range of skills and knowledge in regards to human body and and mind and in improving the workings of the human body and mind connection, persistence, warmth, truthfulness, drive, understanding and top level qualities... neither do I know any trainer who is as encouraging and inspiring as Melody is.

She even contacts you the day after your work out, to assess how you are feeling.

Now THAT shows dedication and service.

She is a true MASTER.

Contact her NOW and feel better instantly: better physically and better about yourself.

She almost made me cry, but I love her for it.

Two days of the sorest back EVER were wiped away in an hour with Melody.

It was intense, but it was GOOD.

I think I'm a masochist.

I'm in pain (the "damn I got my a** kicked but it feels good" kind of pain) every time I have a session with Melody but I keep returning. When I'm doing the worm or crab walk, I'm dying in pain and wishing it would be over so I can go home and never come back.. but I still return.

Melody will kick your butt into shape! You never do the same boring workouts and she always mixes it up with different things. Your muscles will be sore and you'll be walking like a duck for a day or two but it is completely worth it especially when you start noticing the changes.

Oh my goodness. The first time I went to a personal training session with Melody I. Could. Not. MOVE. Literally. For. Two. Days. I had trouble walking down the stairs back to the car then waddled for the next two days. But even though it was that painful, it was just that amazing. I love to feel the soreness because that just means I know I got a great workout.

Melody never fails to make you WORK for the hour (or half hour) and feel it the next day. I love that she switches it up all the time so one day you can be doing kickboxing and the next time circuits with kettle balls, etc.

Melody will kick your butt and motivate you to get your lazy ass into shape!

Melody is the first "real" trainer I have ever found.  And I have been working out with trainers and on my own for decades.  Not one single trainer I have ever met before out of dozens can hold a candle to Melody.  She shows a genuine interest in helping me meet my training and health goals.  And she has an uncanny ability to tell when I am trying to distract her from my workout and helps me stay focused.

The difference between Melody and every other trainer I have ever had is immense.  Melody is the trainer's trainer.  She gets me to work harder than I have ever worked before, and every session she makes it different and new and never boring.  She has such skill and knowledge and she gives you the feeling that she cares about her work.

I went in with a pain in my shoulder/neck and thought she would send me home to recuperate. Instead she sat me down and worked on that spot with some intense massage, including digging her elbow deep down into that screaming muscle (or was it me screaming?).  To my surprise five minutes later, I was pain free.

And the kettle balls...incredible workout.  Melody teaches the teachers to use them and prepares them for certification.  I am impressed and feel like I've found real gold in Melody.  And as if all that isn't enough, she's a genuinely nice person.  As much as I don't like working out, Melody has given me a new feeling of hope that I can do it, and has brought me back from the brink of the health abyss just when I was almost ready to throw in the towel and get the blue plates.  Now I have hope again.  She has a true gift.

I've been training with Melody at her lunchtime boot camp for the last few months and it has been GREAT. She does a fantastic job of pushing each person to their limit without going too far. Melody creatively designs a new workout each day so you never get bored. Meanwhile everyone contributes just enough humor to make it fun without forgetting why we are all there. I would highly recommend it if you can work it into your schedule.

Man, I hate this woman.  I really, really, really hate this woman.  When she's standing over me, telling me to keep my back straight with her GOD D@#@ KETTLE BELLS. I hate her.  I hate her so much; I mutter to myself and give her the evil eye.  You know what my evil eye does - it makes her pour cereal in her tea mug the next day, that's what!  Man does this woman make me mad; especially when she makes me use the BLACK GOD D@#@ KETTLE BELLS.  I hate this woman 5 days later when my legs STILL HURT.

Of course, after about 20 minutes of working out with her, I'm too tired to be mad, and there no recovery possible for my completely deflated male ego.

You know what I don't hate - I don't hate the fact that I can already feel an improvement in my cycling and rock climbing. I don't hate that I can already feel my legs becoming a little less chicken like.  And I don't really hate Melody S.  She'll kick your ass and make you'll love her for it.

Melody does the corporate massage and fitness routine at my employer.  And while the classes are excellent, I have to say the massage is one of the best I've ever had.  I lay down, she tells me to look to the right, and then sticks her finger into that tense place in my neck and makes me scream.  It's pretty much my one time a month where I get to yell obscenities in the middle of the day in a public place.

Last week she got a "fuck yeah!" out of me.

So thank you, Melody, even though I am sure you turn up the music when you see my name on your appointment list.

I'm writing this review right now 'cuz Michael S. is laughing at me as I stumble to my chair 24 hours after my session with Melody because my legs STILL feel worked. I'm also writing this review 'cuz there are muscles in my torso and arms that I didn't even know I had making themselves known. My ass has officially been kicked. And not to sound kinky, but it feels reeeaal gooood. :)

I've never worked with a personal trainer before so I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that though I spend most of my weekends pretty active with climbing, mountain biking, or hiking, I'm not as fit as I'd like to be. And I have no idea how to weight train. After a detailed assessment with Melody, including measurements, goals, nutritional counseling, health history, she's put together different workouts specifically focused on my weaknesses and tuned to help me become a better climber and biker.

After several sessions, I still look forward to each one - unusual for me as I usually loathe and am completely bored by going to the gym. Each session has been challenging and interesting - and Melody has been really great to work with. An added bonus, she ends each session with trigger point therapy which has really helped my chronic muscular pain.

It's hard to explain how I can have such high regard for someone who week after week leaves me feeling like she took a baseball bat to various parts of my body.

I started training with Melody S. about a month and a half ago, and it's been a great experience from the beginning. The first time we met up, it was for a complimentary assessment. Melody asked what I hoped to achieve through training with her, put me through some exercises to see what I could do and where she needed to focus my workouts, and then spent time talking to me about nutrition.

Well, that was the easy part...since then, she's put me through the wringer, pushing me harder than I thought I was possible, and still making me laugh while doing it (as opposed to wanting to kick her in the shins.) She has a great sense of humor and she's incredibly encouraging. She never pushes me past my breaking point, but she never goes easy on me, either.

One of my favorite things is that every week is different: she's had me boxing, working out with weights, using machines, and doing aerobic exercise. It's definitely never boring, and every week, a new part of my body is sore and aching the day after my workout.

In addition, after each session, she massages out the knots that I inevitably have all over my neck and back from work and life stress. She has a unique style that makes me moan in pain (seriously, it sounds like a porn shoot in the gym sometimes) but leaves me feeling so much better after she's done. She's even walked on me!

The personal attention and relationship that we've established have made it much easier for me to be motivated than I ever was when I had a gym membership. Melody has given me useful knowledge about nutrition and exercise that I can continue using to do more on my own. If you're in the area and looking for a trainer, I recommend her without reservation.

Another five star review for Melody!  Last night was only my second time having the fabulous Melody as my personal trainer but I am already hooked!  Although it is hard to type this review because Melody's workout kicked my butt so hard even my fingers hurt!  But, that is why I love her!

My evaluation last week was pretty impressive.  I filled out an extensive questionnaire about my goals, my current exercise regimen, medical history, etc.  When I had a trainer at Bally's they didn't do that!  Very cool.  Then Melody took my blood pressure and did a body fat analysis.  Again my trainer at Bally's didn't do that either.  Then we did these endurance and strength tests so that Melody would be able to personally cater a work out to my needs.  I was so impressed after my evaluation I raved and bragged about my cool new trainer all weekend long.  Oh, and did I mention I got to meet the fabulous and lovely Ericka Sparkles?  She has a wonderful smile, doesn't she???!!!!

OK, so last night was my first actual workout and although I am so sore I would cry if I knew if wouldn't hurt I actually feel great!  I am so proud of myself for working so hard.  Melody kept encouraging me, cracking jokes, laughing, and just has such an awesome vibe.  Great energy.  I didn't feel like I was over exerting myself and although I was dubious that I could do all of the weight training stuff that we did last night, I finished all three of the circuits!  It was great!  Even when I was adamant that I would lose my balance and go crashing to my death Melody encouraged me and assured me that she hadn't lost a person yet!  And you know what???  I did everything she asked!  Yahoo, Melody ROCKS!  Oh, and after the workout Melody did this trigger point therapy thing that made me feel like a new person!  It was great!

Melody is awesome.  Great workout, friendly, very energetic, and really encourages you!  And she pm'd me today to see how I was feeling, very impressive!  Love her!

How can I get started on Yelp without showing some love for Melody since she got me into this site in the first place?

This woman is amazing -- not only is she a quality and genuinely good person (and if you know how cynical I am -- she certainly does -- you'll know how rare it is that I'll say something like that!) and one of my favorite people of all time (I used to just say "one of my favorite people in southern California" but she has definitely made the transition to "of all time" status), but she's also an excellent trainer, which is the point of this post! Melody has an amazing ability to take you to limits that you didn't know you had -- she intuitively knows when your whimpers of "Mel! I can't do this anymore!!!!" are just a lot of whining and when you genuinely need a break. She's given me the best massages of my life too -- which is the other half of her business besides the personal trainer part.

How's that for kissing your ass, gangsta? :~P Every word is true, though!

There's not much more to say than that every word you read on here about Melody is absolutely true! She deserves every ounce of glowing praise here. Of course, could it be that no one DARES give her less than a five-star review because they sense, somehow, that the regular ass-kicking they get might get bumped up a notch? That would be more than they can bear:-) There is no messing around with Melody, and as someone else here said, she seems to have an uncanny ability to distinguish between genuine fatigue and theatrical whining. She'll get the best out of you every session.
No only is Melody a funny, warm person who genuinely cares about your success and knows how to help you achieve your goals, but she is also a bona fide expert in her field who can answer any question you might have.
She's helped me reach my fitness goals, but, even more importantly, applying her attitude about training to other areas of my life has helped me immeasurably.

Just don't plan on walking or sitting without screaming in agony the two days after your first training session...

Melody's massages have helped me greatly.  There have been several times when I have walked into her studio in pain and walked-out an hour later feeling significantly better.

Melody is always professional.  She doesn't  mind the endless questions that I ask and has even helped to teach me stretching techniques so that I can keep my body in good order between visits.

I have recommended Melody's services to both my mother and my girlfriend and I recommend her to you as well.
