What a fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch! My only contention with it is that it's only open till 3 since I like my breakfast any time of the day.

On early Sunday, this place gets packed with more senior citizens than a bingo hall. There were so many old people in here, it should have been sponsored by Lincoln Town Car.
It was busy, and we were expecting to wait at least a half hour. But much to our surprise, a booth was cleared for us in less than five minutes. Major points from the get-go for being on their A game when it comes to getting people seated. Because we were already speaking of giving our money to IHOP if we didn't get food in your stomachs soon.
I am not big on breakfast. I generally avoid breakfast and skip to lunch. But pancakes are always reminiscent of childhood, and I felt I should try Flap-Jack's namesake. So I opted for the blueberry pancakes and a side of breakfast sausage links. And I was very happy with my decision.
I had more pancakes than I could finish. It was piled with whipped cream, and came with a blueberry sauce type deal on the side. It was way more sugar than I'm used to so early in the day, but it was well worth it.
As I briefly alluded to earlier, the service here is splendid. Friendly, and on the ball when it gets busy. My coffee cup was never empty. The prices are very reasonable as well.
A damn fine breakfast/brunch/lunch option.Listed in: Dirty Souf Chi & Burbs

This is by far my FAVORITE place to go for breakfast. The food is amazing. They have the best hash browns I've ever had...anywhere. The food is excellent - I use this as my basis of comparison for most other breakfast places. The service is usually very good especially for as busy as they are, but every now and then you run across an off day.
For a while I was actually on a first name basis with the owner and the hostesses because I was there for frequently. -

I came here on a weekday around 11am for breakfast. Maybe that's an off time for breakfast at a pancake house but there was nothing great about our breakfast.
The food was decent but we expected more from what we had heard about the place. Our waitress was OK, not very attentive but she did check on us. I think what really took away from the experience was the bad coffee. How can you have crappy coffee at a breakfast restaurant? Once I tasted the coffee I knew I wouldn't be back again. -

Great place to go for breakfast! Friendly, family owned business. Large portions - always delicious menu items. Usually a wait to be seated.

This busy and loud breakfast and lunch restaurant has some great grub. Their Breakfast menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. The baked apple pancake is HUGE and mighty tasty. If your bringing your kids, try the Mickey or Minnie Mouse pancakes, they are sure to please even the most difficult tyke. Their skillets also also winners. The lunch menu features sandwiches and salads, and most sandwiches come with a bevy of french fries and a bowl of soup. Their "California Delight" sandwich is excellent-a plump moist chicken breast covered in melted cheese and crisp bacon served on grilled sour dough bread. The wait staff is also friendly and quick to fill an empty cup. Our server "Barb" was great! The only draw back is that it closes at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. A gem like this should be open later.

My family and friends really like coming here because the food is so good. The staff is always friendly and the owner will even come sit down and talk to you. The coffee is good too and that is a huge factor for me when I have breakfast. My all time favorite is the jalepeno omelot. Delicious!!! The place is always crowded so get there early or a little later than the 8-10am breakfast time. The place is clean (bathrooms too). The only problem I have with the place is the price. I think it's a little over priced. For 2 omelots, mickey mouse pancakes, side of bacon and 2 coffees cost us $40, ouch!
