Flanigan's, Loggerhead, whatever you call it, you can't go wrong. Flanigan's is another South Florida locals favorites. They've been around for enough years to keep their good thing going. It's always a great place to go whenever you're in the mood for something casual and relaxed to hang out. (parking at this location can be tricky, the lot fills up fast and you'll be street stalking)

Happy Hour? sure. Lunch? sure. Just finished biking Key Biscayne where to go? sure. Monday Night Football? sure Late night stopping place? stop by here for one more beer and some wings or nachos. Their wings are well known by locals. Their seafood isn't what you'll write up about in cuisine magazines, but it does the job and is always consistent. The last year or so they've had a great lunch deal ($4.95) and they have nightly specials, such as Wings Wednesday, buy a pitcher of beer or soda and get a free order of wings, or Nacho Mondays, same pitcher deal and free order of nachos. Make sure to start filling out the frequent diner card, get 10 stamps and your next meal is free.

Flanigans is a great place to come and watch sports with friends. I usually venture there on a Saturday or Sunday during football season not only for a variety of games, but for cheap drinks. They have $1.50 Miller lights that come in great plastic cups you can take home! You can catch almost any game that's on since they have about 30 TVs.
They also have some great deals on a lot of different nights. Mexican Mondays where a plate of their Nachos comes along when you buy a picture of beer. Their nachos are chips loaded with cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapenos, guacamole, lettuce and chili.
on Wingin Wednesdays you grab a basket of chicken wings with each pitcher of beer. You can get them breaded, naked and hot, medium or mild.
So if you can't get enough of Flanigans deals, stop by their liquor store for a good selection of wine and reasonably prices liquor.
Negatives are that during games it can take a while to get a table, but the bar is always open.  Also its open super late night. Grab a Caesar burger where they pile a Caesar salad onto a delicious burger.

I could go back.  NOT a seafood place; you come for the hot sauce and ribs.  Great Chicken Stickers with Hot Sauce and great ribs.  I would consider this to be your typical American Sport's Bar and a perfect place to keep on stand-by if you cannot make-up your mind for any other restaurant.

Ribs, Chicken Wings, Hamburgers, Beer, Oh My!!!

On my last night in Miami my lil sis took me and the fam to Flanigan's. Now being the fly guy that I am I was just a lil turned off by the spot because of the music but once we found a seat /table since we could find room at the bar for our party of five.

Our waitress was really cool and hooked us up with the deal of the night. Buy a pitcher of what ever and get a free Nacho! Boy-I-tell-you-what! Them NACHOS were huge!  Plus delicious and enough for 5. I could of had another one but we had like 2 orders of these things they call dolphin fingers(don't worry its not really dolphin I hope). These bad boys come out hot and still cooking I think with your choice of tartar sauce or ranch dressing. The Buffalo wings are the business as well! You can get them on the bone or no bone! How hot is that!

We even had dessert. Now hold on to your belts for this one because I know you're full. Now picture this a sunday tower build on a warm chocolate brownie foundation, two stories of vanilla icecream, held up with pillars of kit-kat bars, a whip cream penthouse, and a light melted chocolate chip garden to surround the whole structure!

I know I know you feel a lil fat after something like that. I reccomend that you don't eat it by yourself!

When I need a late night adventure in Miami next time I'm there I'm going to Flanigan's !

Ah, Flanigan's.  I agree with most of what was already said, but I thought I'd throw my two cents in:

Wings:  YUM.  Possibly the best I've ever had.

Ribs:  Solid, but not my favorite.

Specials: Amazing.  Just went last night for Mexican Monday - free loaded nachos with your first pitcher (of beer, soda, lemonade, etc).  Wing it Wednesday is not to be missed.

Service:  Friendly and attentive.  The servers are quick to guide you to the best deals, and somehow I almost always manage to score free stuff.

This is a great place to kick back with friends.  I always drink more, laugh louder, and stay longer than I intended, but that's a good thing.

Great burgers, I had the Flanigan Burger (swiss, mushrooms) and I loved that I could substitute the fries for another side (went for the cole slaw, but could have a salad).

Dulce de leche cheesecake was delicious. Chocolate cake was a miss - a little too dry.

Service was just okay.

I could give it a 3.5 stars if I could...I am not sure if I am a fan...so that's why no 4 stars! :P

Went there on a Monday night, friend said it was Mexican Monday. The inside decor made it look like St. Patrtick's Day everyday! I was impressed with the loaded nachos that came free with the pitcher of beer, it was not bad...but the size of it blew me off. I ordered the rib rolls which was a signature appetizer, this one impressed me greatly! I would definitely get that again when I go back.

They had lunch specials for $4.95 during the week...something to consider if you are in the neighborhood. The place was crowded when we got there and was crowded still when we left. I didn't like how all the TVs showed the same sports channels! I mean, yes it is a bar with mostly men...but still!! Music was crazy loud for a bit...but it was turned down...eventually.

Oh, and if you are vegetarian, dont bother going. A vegetarian friend of mine had a hard time ordering anything off the menu. She ended up with a vege pasta...and they charged her the same price if she had gotten the chicken. Not very cool.

Tip-bits:
Go early on nights with specials? There was a wait when I went on Monday.
Parking is available in the lot, if not pay for it along the road.

My wife and I like to have a date night about once a month -- we go out sans children and enjoy each others company. Last night we ventured back to the place where it all began for us -- "our" oldest haunt. Flannigan's in the Grove, or to the initiated, Loggerhead's. Flannigan's has undergone lots of changes over the years, but the core of what makes the restaurant great remains the same -- excellent food and a great atmosphere. Some say it's a sports bar, some say it's a dive, I say it's a great place to hang out and enjoy the company of whoever you're with.

The servers are friendly and helpful; the food is great -- try the rib and wing combo or any of Joe's Meal Deals; the beer on tap is very varied; the dessert menu will never leave you wanting more. Add to this, the great music playing on the jukebox and the sporting events on all the TVs, and the marine décor, and you've got a great place to hang out. Try it, you'll like it.

now this is a good bar with really good food. I actually prefer to go here to eat rather then drink....well, ok, ok, I'll do both. this is really a sportsbar-y bar with televisions everywhere and the general tone of the place being pretty darn loud.

they have pretty good drink specials and although they don't have any fancy beers on tap, they do have a varied enough selection so it's worthwhile if you're a beer drinker. bartenders and wait staff are nice but always pretty busy as I've never seen this place empty.

I know that a lot of people have reviewed the food as being average - but I would disagree. they have a large menu with a fair amount of choices. their salads are good, their sandwiches (particularly the chicken philly and the cheese steak) tasty, pretty great hot wings, and their burgers are pretty kick-ass (and big) - plus their seasoned fries rock. but the best thing they have to offer are their baby back ribs...literally falling off the bone, so tender, not too much sauce, always ALWAYS just right - some of the best ribs at a non-bbq place in all of south florida.

If you want a $4 cosmo during happy hour, go to Flanigan's.  If you want to eat, go anywhere else.

The two stars are for the cheap good drinks and the trivial pursuit cards on the tables that kept my husband and me entertained for the half hour we spent waiting for our friend to show up.

I have severe dairy allergies, so I was worried when I noticed that not only was everything on the menu drenched in butter or cheese, but on the back of the menu it says "don't ask because we won't modify any item on the menu," or something to that effect.  So despite the warning I made my case to the waiter.  He told me to order the ribs, they don't have any butter, I said I don't eat red meat.  This continued, and after going through the menu and asking the kitchen if they could possibly cook several of the dishes in olive oil rather than butter, and having them refuse, I chose the seared ahi tuna.  It was bad. That's basically all I can say about it.  It was dry and just plain bad.

So my suggestion is, go for happy hour, read all the trivial pursuit cards, and then eat at home.

Oh Flannigan's how I miss your cheap drinks and fabulous bartenders.

I used to live nearby and would often stop by for drinks instead of dealing with the hassle of going to the center grove. They are open rather late and always have amazing drink specials. The food is average bar food but after a few drinks it's pretty darn amazing.

Oh don't be fooled by the cop cars that are often parked outside, a lot of them hang out in the back room after work.

This is one of my favorite bars to hang out at!  It's 3 blocks from my house, which is perfect walking/stumbling distance!  :)

The happy hour specials are always great.  The servers have all been there a while, know the menu, are helpful, and very friendly!  Most of them make it a point to recognize you when you return, remember your drink, etc.

Happy hour does get packed, so be prepared to look for parking and wait for a drink, but you will always run into someone you know!!!

The food is always really good - from salads to burgers (they have an awesome Cesar salad burger - YUM!), to steak and seafood (their specialty), you never leave there disappointed.

They also do random specials throughout the week.  For example, on Tuesdays, you get free wings when you order a pitcher of beer!  Who can resist?  No wonder everyone becomes a Regular!!!

I have long been a fan-o-Flanigan's. Located literally down the street from  my childhood home, I suppose I had taken their no frills finger licking goodness for granted....Until I visited Miami last week for the WMC and re-experienced their heaven sent chicken wings on a plastic high-density polyethylene platter with a side of carrots and ranch!
(its almost like these chicks actually volunteer to be martyred knowing their better purpose)

The food is cheap, even for Miami. Their ribs are a fall off the bone BBQ saucy festival for your taste buds. The chicken wings are seriously the best I have ever had, with a choice of mild, medium or hot and/or breaded in some locations. The Philly cheese steak sandwich with curly fries is as satisfying as a "Swedish masseuse" on house call.  The seafood here is another specialty, something quite obvious as the whole place is decorated collage style with picture frames of infamous daily catches dating back from the 1930's! I am totally HOOKED!

Flanigans offers a ton of deals like:

Monday- buy a pitcher, get a huge plate of nachos.  Free.
Wednesday- buy a pitcher, get an order of wings.  Free.
Every night after 10: buy a pitcher, get an order of wings.  Free.
4-7 pm-50% off all mixed drinks
Daily Beer specials
Joe's Meal deal- $13.95 for salad, garlic rolls (these aint not Texas toast rubbish)an entree (ribs, steak, grilled fish etc), side and beer/beverage of the day!

One little problem....its loud and boisterous which is not usually a problem except for the noise mainly emanates like the clash of the Titans from an army of 22 flat screen tvs lining the perimeter of the 2000 sq foot location. Either way its no hindrances you must wing it if in Miami!

Also....late night food service every day until 4 am and bar is opened until until 5 am- 24 HRS on weekends!

This place is my favorite bar and grill.

It's got good beer, great burgers, amazing hot wings, finger-licking-good ribs, and quite frankly the best hot wings, plain or breaded, and a really good cesar salad. Plus, $2 pina coladas and margaritas! Their deserts aren't bad either.

They've got fish mounted on the wall and pictures of fishermen with their catches covering every inch of the wall just like any good South Florida bar should. Sometimes you'll notice some of the fisherman's faces at the bar. It's very much laid-back Miami. If they only had outdoor dining and a water view they'd be perfect, but then they probably wouldn't be as affordable.

When I lived in Miami (stumbling distance away) I would come here all the time. Now I go whenever I come back. It was always a good place to hang out with friends and grab a few drinks and some food. How I wish they would open one in Seattle, for two years I've been looking for something comparable and I haven't found it yet.

this is really really good! at least for what it is.  It's a bar-ish, diner-ish, neighborhood-ish place with no pretense! it's got old furniture, old crap all over the walls and ceiling, old wooden fixtures - and all of that makes it absolutely wonderful.

It has a very friendly atmosphere and the food is great! a pretty big menu and at friendly prices.

I was there when I was traveling and I was looking for a simple place to eat and have a beer and hang out. this was perfect! I could see myself coming back time after time to just hang out with friends if only i lived closer than across US.

Oh yeah - did I mention they have "Dolphin Fingers"? :)

Well - so?  the name "Buffalo Wings" gives me creepy scary jeebies too ))))))

I'm really starting to like this place for their ribs and spicy chicken wings.  All of their food is reasonably priced and pretty tasty.  The staff is always friendly and I find myself unexpectedly coming in on days when they have great drink specials.  It's a great casual place to drink beer, eat wings, and watch sports.  What more can I say?

Well it's a Flanigan's. For those who haven't been to a Flanigans's it's what I'd consider to be Florida's bar food at it's best.  Order an appetizer of Rib Rolls (BBQ Rib Meat in an egg roll) or the Dolphin Fingers (actually MahiMahi fish), a Polar Beer and a Prime Rib then get ready for a treat.  They have reasonable prices and great specials.  The staff at this location I've consistently found to be good, fast and friendly which is a rarity in Miami.  Also, like most of Miami, parking can be a challenge.

This place has a fun atmosphere, with lots of  photos, decorations  and "stuff " hanging on the walls, from the ceilings, etc.   The staff is usually very friendly, prices are reasonable and I see everyone from families with kids to groups of friends/co-workers to older couples dining here.  There are lots of TVs around the bar, so this is a good place to grab a beer and take in a game as well.  Decent selection of beers on tap, and they always seem to have a drink special of some kind advertised.  The jukebox has a wide selection of music from different genres, and you never know what  kind of music you'll hear from one song to the next as the crowd is so mixed.  While this is a good place to eat occasionally, in my opinion the menu is a bit limited to consider eating here often.  I've seen other reviews on here saying that it's mostly bar food, others have commented on how most foods are fatty/deep fried and are covered in butter or sauces and it's true.  Don't get me wrong, the ribs, wings, nachos, etc. are all good, but not something I could dine on constantly.  If you're looking for a very causual, laid back place to have a drink, some wings or ribs and watch the game in a place with lots of repeat customers, this is definitely it!

I'm gonna go ahead and make you a promise.  You will NEVER EVER have ribs that are better than the ones you will have here.  They are phenomenal.  They are juicy, they fall off the bone, are soft, and just all around perfect.  That's not the only thing.  If you're looking for a thick, juicy, quality burger, you got it.  They have curly fries that will stimulate your senses and a rice/black beans side dish that will enable you to see the future.  Try their barbeque sauce and truly appreciate how quality it is.  They also give you large drinks in signature Flanagan's cups and are prompt on the refills.  The service is inconsistent, however.  You will either get amazing service or upsetting service depending on how luck follows you around.  This particular one in the Grove is definitely more reliable than the one on US1 and 112th st.  Overall, a fantastic restaurant that has withstood the test of time and you will never be disappointed in the food.  Also, try the rib rolls! AMAZING!  Let's not forget the grilled tuna and the caesar salad.  This place will satisfy your every need.  Trust me.  If you go there for the first time though, have a FULL RACK of baby back ribs with fries.  And be generous on the barbeque sauce! I must also point out that although this has become a chain, it wasn't initially.  The one in the grove opened a LONG time ago ( i was a little kid) and it was so successful and peope loved it so much, it started opening other locations.  The quality has not declined though.
