Stacy is an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable Yoga instructor. I have been practicing for over 8 years in the Bay Area and I would say she is in the top of her class. Her spirit is uplifting and her tips and suggestions are very positive and helpful. She teaches a synergistic blend of Hatha and Vinyasa, infusing her own unique style with an eclectic hip mix of modern music while keeping the intention of the practice grounded and meaningful.

I love going to her classes and feel great afterward. Check her out if you have never tried Yoga before or if you are searching for the ideal Yoga instructor to suit your own practice.

I reserve 5 stars for only the very best - she's it!

About a year ago, I quit my stressful job and started my own business, thinking I'd have lots more time to cook & exercise & play tennis since I'd be working from home.

Wrong! I learned that I am actually a highly demanding boss. I was probably one of the worst bosses of myself I've ever had.

After getting completely destroyed by the flu & the long hours & eating burritos every single day & being all strung out on caffeine & late nights & deadlines, I decided enough was enough. I wanted to learn how to fit cooking & exercising into my crazy-busy life in a way that worked for ME. I recognized I didn't have all day to doodle around in the kitchen making gourmet meals, but I had faith that someone could teach me how to develop a system so I made really delicious, REAL meals with REAL food myself, without taking any longer than going across the street for a burrito. That someone was Stacey.

Stacey is one of a kind. At first I was worried I'd make changes just because she was watching. So I decided to just be honest with her and tell her what I was really thinking about where I drew the line. Sure, I'd learn how to cook. But no, I didn't want to quit drinking coffee. No, I didn't want to start eating breakfast. And no, I didn't want to cut back on the hours I was working.

Tell me what nutritionist you know will take those 3 things and say, Okay, fine. Let's focus on what you do want.

So, flash forward 4 months. I've quit drinking coffee. I eat breakfast every morning. I am much more productive & capable of taking on more projects because I have more energy. I take breaks from the computer & go for walks. My stress level is way, way down. And I'm now cooking 90% of all my meals--and actually enjoying it! I buy vegetables and then, miraculously--I eat them BEFORE they go bad!

This is unprecedented in my lifetime.

Somehow she got me to do all this without TELLING me to do anything.
I just started wanting to take better care of myself.

I can't really quantify the difference this has made on my life and on my business. All I know is I'm getting more done in less time, and I feel confident that when I go to the store, I know exactly what to buy and then what to do with it all when I get home. I'm taking breaks. I feel energetic throughout the day without ups and downs and highs and lows.

Can one person really do all of this? Yes! It's Stacey!

And I was a very stubborn cookie. I had my things that I didn't want to give up. But she just goes around you and gets you to do things. She's very crafty that way.

What I really liked most was that she brings a sense of respect and lightheartedness and non-judgmentalism, if that's a word. She didn't make me feel bad or guilty for wanting to do things my own way. But then somehow I start wanting to change.

She also is incredibly business-savvy, so I really trusted her to help me figure out how to balanced my work and the rest of my life. She doesn't just talk about eating vegetables. She looks at the complete picture, something that is truly invaluable and that I don't think you can get from anyone else.

So, yes, I guess I'd work with her again. She was okay.

You don't have to work intimately with Stacy to recognize she's great.

    You'll know.

The woman embodies wellness, vitality, and peace. She is an accomplished holistic health counselor, public speaker,  yoga instructor, and director of five point wellness. Stacey is a living, breathing, goddess and a pure joy to be around.

What's her secret? How does she achieve her "happy glow"? How does she find balance amidst her successful career and commitments?  It's her lifestyle..... the one she wants to help you to discover too.

Working in the fitness industry,  I've had the opportunity to collaborate with many successful individuals. Stacy is the cream of the crop, the work she does is honorable and inspiring. One session at a time, Stacy helps others powerfully transform their lives to find fulfilment and vibrant health. I highly recommend Stacy and 5 point wellness - we could all use guidance on the journey towards discovering our best life!

I've worked with Stacey a couple of months now and am very impressed.  Not only is she knowledgeable in a way that earns instant credibility, but she makes nutrition feel accessible.  I'm a very busy professional and she gets that I require some very specific, targeted guidance in the form of a tactical plan that can be implemented without much thought.  No other coach or trainer has been able to do that for me.

I've also got to point out that I was pleased and surprised to find that we could talk about the heavy, personal stuff that contributes to bad eating habits; pretty much a form of therapy.  She's warm, genuine and, when necessary, can kick some ass.  A rare combo.  I highly recommend her.

After four months of working with Stacy at Five Point Wellness, I have changed the messages inside my head. I am no longer searching for the "perfect" diet. I no longer wake up and make a mad dash for the scale to see what effect yesterday had and, as a result, what my mood will be today.

I now understand what is healthy for me, and that is where I am able to focus my energy. It's become very easy to prepare foods, do my shopping and eat at restaurants. This is not just another diet or another exercise regimen. Instead of feeling deprived, Stacy has helped me change my approach to abundance!

The best part, for me, is that I have gotten out of my head and I am no longer obsessive about my weight. What a relief to have let that all go! Since working with Stacy, I feel more confident and healthy. My clothes fit me again, I have tons more energy and I feel more balanced in every area of my life. I always look forward to talking to Stacy because I know I am going to come away with something new, healthy and exciting to try.

update...i just finished my second "semester" with stacey in her five point wellness program.

what i like about five point wellness and stacey, is that you can take the class over and over and each time is a totally different experience. yoga, nutrition, discussion are all incorperated in a really balanced way.

as i said in my original review....stacey is definately someone i am honored to have learned from, and only can hope to pass on what she gave me to others.

I took Stacey's 4 month wellness course which takes the saying "You are what you eat" to a whole new level.  I learned so much about food, the benefits of filling your diet with nutritious tasty food, and started examining the outcomes when I fill myself with pizza and beer.

She took us on a field trip to the Rainbow foods, where we went down the aisles and she showed us her favorite foods.  I listened into a phone conference where she talked about balancing the diet and the yin and yang's of healthy eating.  Creating balance in your food, creates balance in your being.  This is the reason chocolate covered pretzels are SOO good.

She never suggests to eliminate food, but rather, fill your diet up with good nutritious food to leave less room for the other stuff.

Besides the food part, Stacey also looks at many other areas of life and realizes they are all connected.  I had a follow up call with her about two months after the class ended.  We went over the troubles I was having with fiancs and how I was not feeling happy.  We discussed action steps I could do to take control of my spending ways to bring more joy into my world.

One problem I was having was I would make food on Sunday but was tired of it by Tuesday and had no time in the evenings to cook.  I then was going out to eat and spending money I didn't have. She suggested sauces to make a stirfry very in flavor through out the week.

Last month I made more money than I spent and I wrote letters to my best friends telling them how much I appreciate our friendship.  It's amazing to see how these steps affect every area of my life and improve my overall well being.  I have gotten to a point where instinctually desire good food for my body as norm.  Sure I have a craving every once in a while, and walking by pizza hut I find myself drawn in from time to time.  However, I know I it's not the end of the world.

Life is all about growth and learning, Stacey knows this.  Her method really works if you open to it.

I've been doing yoga for 10 years and Stacey is my favorite yoga teacher in San Francisco.  I'm usually loyal to my studios, but I follow her as often as my schedule permits.  The reasons being: 1.) her sequencing is amazing, challenging while still encouraging, 2.) her corrections, adjustments and suggestions are soothing and help you go deeper, 3.) she flows between standard yoga poses and incorporates others, 4.) she takes requests, and 5.) she plays groovy tunes that I have on my ipod (so you know it's kismet).  I highly recommend you drop in or take a workshop with--just please don't take my spot!

It has been a full year now that I've committed to healthy eating - meaning leaving those simple sugars and refined  foods in the dust...  Stacy and her Five Point Wellness came into my life at about six months into my journey as part of a lecture series with Whole Foods Market (where I work).  She lectured on Superfoods and her personal discoveries and beliefs about healthy eating.  I learned a lot  of valuable information about seaweed and use it often.  My favorite thing, however was the way she pointed out how we sometimes choose sweet foods because we need more Yin in our lives at that moment and helped us see other Yin things we can do other than consume refined sugars.  I never saw eating and cravings as a way to acheive balance before.  My other food mentors have all been vegan or raw food based people.  It was great to get the healthy perspective of a meat eater.

Stacey has a subtle way of finding out where you most need help in your path to better nutrition. And shes ready to be your personal cheerleader for even the simplest obstacles. Mostly what I have found is that its not the big stuff that impedes my goals. Its the tiny, almost imperceptible patterns and routines that limit me. And with Stacey's guidance and patience - she really feels like a close friend - I have begun to notice and  overcome most  of them and still keep a sense of humor about it. I love that she's not preachy, but rather straightforward. I also cook for myself now more than I have in the last ten years! Kudos to Stacey for that assistance.

I can honestly say that I achieved everything I wanted from this experience and in fact far surpassed my goals.

First, a little bit about me (only because it's relevant to the review).
Prior to working with Stacey, my only means of losing weight was to enter into "weight bets" with my buddies. I  would succeed every time in losing 20-25 lbs. I had done this at least 6 or 8 times over the past 8 years. It worked, but then I would always put the weight back on. The weight would come off in 12 weeks, and get back on in the next 2 or 3 months.

What I wanted from Stacey (Five Point Wellness) was to get RELIGION!! (no, not the Jesus kind). I wanted to truly learn about healthy eating, truly learn about the effects on my body and my energy levels, and then make a true change in my habits that are SUSTAINABLE (no more crazy bets!)

Results: Within the first 2 weeks of working with Stacey, I put the scale away and have literally not pulled it out since (it's been 8 months). I have no idea what I weigh (cuz that's not the goal... healthy eating is), but I can tell you this... I have had to alter all of my jeans because they don't fit anymore. A conservative estimate is that I went from 200 lbs down to 185 lbs, and have stayed there.

I augmented my work with Stacey by reading the materials and books she gave me. I encourage anyone to be extremely honest and to learn as much as you can. Push for extra homework!

Have fun with it. I told Stacey from the start that I wanted this to be easy, and I didn't want anymore bets or hardcore/stressful motivators. It had to be sustainable to work. And it did!  Thanks!

Stacey is an amazing soul. Her energy overfills any space she is in and her wide smile melts a room, but besides all that she is also amazing nutrition counselor. I found Stacey completely by accident but over the last six months she has helped me over come some of demons and learn how to love myself enough to make positive changes in my life. Her kind yet assertive techniques are highly effective. She is extremely supportive and has your best interest in mind. She is definately worth it!

Before I started working with Alice I ate a lot of processed foods and refined sugars. Alice taught me how to integrate whole foods into my diet by giving me practical recipes, helping me set clear, manageable goals, and providing boundless positive energy and support for my busy lifestyle.

I hired Stacey to be my Health Counseling Business Coach.  Before working with Stacey, I was unclear about my business approach and direction. Seeing how Stacey had taken off with her practice, I knew she'd be the right one to give me the push I needed to get clear and focused about my health counseling practice.  Stacey is super supportive, motivating and she holds me accountable for my action steps.  I feel that I'm getting much more clear and focused around my ideal client profile and ways to market myself.   Thank you Stacey!

I have studied and taught yoga for more than ten years, and I can unequivocally endorse Stacey's classes. When I need a fresh, thoughtful sequence to shake me out of my rut, I turn to her. She is very perceptive and attuned to her students. She takes her work quite seriously, and it shows. And at the same time, her teaching style is very kind and accessible. She's a musician, too, and puts together some beautiful mixes for her classes. Thanks for your strong hands, Stacey.  -Tristan
