I joined this gym a few months ago because it was the only one near my house.  I recently quit.

Positives: the staff are always friendly and willing to suggest a new excercise to target whatever you are trying to work on.  Its never crowded so, don't worry about waiting for the treadmills.

The hours are limited compared to other gyms I've joined (I think it closes at 9pm).  

Other things they could improve on include:  changing the magazines ever so often, turining up the air conditioning a tad, and splurging on a water bowl for dogs.  Also, fyi-snap fitness just opened up in Glenwood Park: it's less expensive, open 24 hours, and has more of a fun atmosphere. (No free weights though)

The second Fitness Factory location in Atlanta, and the only gym in close proximity to East Atlanta Village. This location is a lot smaller than the one in Midtown, and the limited room forces it to scale back on the Fitness Factory experience that many are used to in Midtown.
This location has free weights, treadmills and elliptical machines, and weight machines. There isn't room for the tanning, smoothie bar, classrooms, etc. that you would find at a larger gym. There is a membership option that lets you take advantage of the classes at the midtown location while using the EAV facility if you can't live without them.

I like this location due to the small size and the simplicity it offers. Most gyms feel like social scenes or meat markets to me, but this one is small and no nonsense. There isn't really room to hang out and people watch without being really obvious about it.

Like any gym, this one is most crowded early in the morning and in the early evening. Also, expect to find more people there after New Year's resolutions are made (but they'll go back to normal as people start forgetting about the twenty pounds they swore they'd lose).

Smaller than most gyms but that may be the reason I like it better. It has all of the machines that I need and it's so close to my house and work. Running into friends and neighbors always makes my work out more fun. Word on the street is they are adding the tanning beds soon.
