Just as this summer started, I was running past Fitler Square one evening, and a bunch of fireflies twinkled as I passed by. In the middle of the city! Lovely.
This is Rittenhouse's smaller, less crowded brother.
This is the sort of place that makes me wish I had kids. It seems like every kid taken here loves to just run around the fountain and chalk up the walks like the budding little taggers and graffiti artists they will become.
I personally enjoy playing a little bocce ball along the grass and enjoying some wine. It's not a huge park but I think that's what makes it so nice.
Great place to grab a seat on a bench and read, listen to music, hang out with friends. Small one block size park - but big enough for many benches and a fountain in the summer. Sometimes there's a farmers market there on Saturdays.
