I love Fishtails during the day, after a looooooooooong night spent at Seacrets!! I always end up here the next morning, for some much needed bloody mary's and some food to cure my nasty hangover. The atmopshere is perfect for doing just that.

I always find myself sitting at a table in the sand overlooking the bay, with a cold drink in hand, a BLT in front of me, reggae music, and good company, and life is GOOD!

I love just hanging out and lounging around. The hammock chairs are a little piece of heaven. I need one in my back yard. The service is good. The only complaint I have is that they are super annoying about id's. They card you once, but then will card you again, and again, and finally give you a wrist band. Hellllllllo isn't 1x enough!?!?

Anyways I'll never let those pesky bouncers stop me from my favorite hangover cure, bottom line Fishtales is a great place for lunch, drinks, and just a nice chill time. Can't wait to go back next summer!! :)

This was probably my favorite place on our last OC visit.

We went for dinner and waited happily at the bar, for 50 minutes before being seated.  After downing some tasty libations, the hostess finally led us to an outdoor table nestled in a sand floor.  Our waitress gave us the best service I think I've ever received, in addition to making some amazing recommendations.  Everything we ordered was great and reasonably priced, but I think the kicker was really the atmosphere.

We were able to dig our feet into the sand, while watching the sun set on the bay.  Though the table limit is one hour (until 9 or 10pm) from the time you are seated, if you go for a late seating, they'll let you linger as they set up the tiki torches for the late night crowd.  Honestly, I felt like the partner and I were on a first date again - it was absurdly romantic in a not so likely atmosphere.  It was...very california.

Even for day drinking, I'd prefer to hang out here than seacrets - though it's nowhere near on the same size/craziness scale.  If you get a chance, take a minutes and stop by FT.

Great seafood. I'm not a huge seafood person and the slightest fishiness can really put me off but this was amazing! So fresh! I had the seafood burrito which I was definately hesitant about but it turned out brilliant in the end! I was with a large group and there were rave reviews all around!

You can't beat the ambiance (esp in Ocean City), sitting with your feet in the sand & a beer in hand as the sun goes down...

Another nice bayside water front restuarant/bar.  Atmosphere is very cool.  I just happen to like restaurant/bars that are at Marina's or just on the water.

The biggest disappointment I have with this place is the 1 hour seating limit they place on you.  I think that's BS and should be eliminated.

Definitely a fun place.  I went with a small group and we sat at the bar outside.  It was cozy and not too loud.  The service was good, but to be honest, one of my group was friends with the bartenders, so that never hurts.  We got the conch fritters as an appetizer and a few fish meals for dinner.  It was all yummy, and the drinks were well-prepared, too.

I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a casual and fun night.

My family recently ate at fishtails for the first time over the 4th of July holiday.  It will be our last.  We waited 1.5 hours, ok typical for a holiday weekend.  My son ordered a cheesesteak and as he finished it he found not one  but two rubberbands one would wear for braces!!
They did comp. that meal but I would of rather paid for it than to find two rubberbands in the meal.  Wonder who was doing the cooking that wore braces.  I ordered STEAMED clams and they arrived stone COLD.  They replaced then with warm steamed clams that was like eating a small mouth full of sand with each clam!!  We aren't a family to complain but the meal was down right nasty!!  The only good thing I can say is the marina atmosphere was nice, the chicken nachos were awesome and the sunset beautiful.

I have been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years and it is a shame that it has gone from a great local restaurant to some kind of tourist trap.  Since I have a beach house only a couple streets away my family and I love to drive the boat right up to their docks go eat.  But now a days if you want to sit down and eat you have to wait 2 + hours and its packed to the rim.  Its not a relaxing place anymore.  The food is still good, the fresh fish and shellfish are always good.  If you can afford to go super early for dinner (around 4pm) than it is worth a try.  You should definitely not miss it if you are already in Ocean City.

This is a must-stop place in OC if you have kids, and want to have some peace while drinking something with coconut and rum and umbrellas and crap in it.

First, they have a giant play area for the kids with tables all around it, and it's fenced.  For the older ones, there's an arcade.  And the plates for the kids meals are frisbees.  So that takes care of the troops for at least an hour.

Now for the generals overseeing the troops.  After a long day's battle on the boardwalk, you want to sit, eat, and drink.  They do all that in spades.  The food is above par -- I had a cheesesteak that was stuffed full of peppers, mushrooms, onions, and most importantly MEAT.  My long-suffering wife had the fish tacos, and pronounced them excellent.  Kids had fish nuggets, which were actually really darn good.

We also had the conch fritters as a starter, and they were excellent.  They didn't have that weird fishy taste that speaks of frozen or not-fresh conch -- they were very flavorful and generously portioned.

They also make a mean mojito with 10 Cane rum -- perfectly sweetened and with plenty of mint.  Just the right thing to sip while watching your two year old attempt to climb off a ten foot tall pirate ship.

We first tried to go on Sunday at about 5pm, but there was a storm coming in and there was no indoor seating available.  If the weather had been cooperative, the 5pm hour looks pretty safe.  So we tried again and went on Monday, at 1100, and it was nicely uncrowded until about noon, when people started really showing up.

After spending the day catching some rays on the beach we wanted a fun meal so off we went to eat in the sand on the bay. Fish Tales is set in the center of Ocean City's sport fishing headquarters.  The offer something for everyone- they have a kids play area, drink specials and food.  Be ready to wait however:  we got there around 7ish and had a hour and 45 minute wait till it was our turn to sit- but the view, food and atmosphere is worth it.

I had the SEAFOOD BURRITO ($14.99)- combination of shrimp, crab, scallops, and cheddar cheese stuffed into a warm sun-dried tomato tortilla, topped with a mild enchilada sauce and sour cream on the side. Served with a chilled black bean and corn salsa on the side.  It was very good however it was a bit on the dry side.  The taste was good and there was lots of crabmeat.  I do feel they could add more of the other seafood.  The salsa my favorite salsa and was sweat- but it was average.

My Husband had the ROCK & ROLL DINNER ($18.99)- a large rockfish filet fried to perfection. Accompanied by garlic roasted potatoes and corn on the cob.  The fish wasn't overly fishy or strong and the potatoes had perfect seasoning.  The filet was huge.

The 14-year-old had CHEESEBURGER ($8.99)-8oz. of char-grilled, prime Angus beef, cooked as you like it, with cheese.  The burger came perfectly cooked at medium-well as she ordered it and was huge.

I saw the JUMBO STUFFED SHRIMP ($24.99)- colossal shrimp stuffed in to a bread bowl with our own house blend of shrimp and crab dip topped with cheddar cheese and baked to perfection. Served with fresh veggies and garlic roasted potatoes.  The presentation was great and looked wonderful!  Next time I want tot try this!

Overall, the food was average but I will be heading back to wiggle my toes in the sand and watch the boats.  They also have an extensive drink menu.

One word:  TERRIBLE.  Ordered the mussels with asiago cheese "sauce".  I got ice cold mussels with ice cold marinara dumped on them.  they were OBVIOUSLY not cooked to order, and brought straight out of the refrigerator.  kinda silly in that mussels take like 2 minutes to cook.
My wife had a BLT.  TERRIBLE.  again, ice cold bacon.  they couldn't even fake it and microwave it.  almost inedible.
could barely get our waitresses attention but when we did she took the mussels off the check and we suffered through the BLT.
Perhaps we caught them at the wrong day, at the wrong time, or perhaps should have simply gotten something straight out of the fryer.  my bad.

The service was good, the atmosphere was fun but thats about all I can say this place has to offer. Everything we ordered was terrible. The food was typical for this type of place. I never plan to return unless it is at night for drinks ONLY.

I do miss the old Fish Tales.  It used to be a great place to go and relax.  They had  a wonderful waitress named Tammy who doesn't seem to be there anymore.  Maybe it is making more money now, which is great, but it just doesn't have the same friendly atmosphere and service that it used to have.

This is our favorite place in OC -- you can go here with two little boys (2 1/2 and 4) and EVERYONE will have fun!  My oldest loves the pirate ship playground, and my youngest loves walking around the marina looking at the boats.  If you come around 6:00 in the summer, you might see the fishing charters coming in with their day's catch, which your kids will love.

The food is fairly good (not excellent, but very good considering you are in the culinary vacuum that is OC), the service is excellent, and EVERYONE from age 2-80 will have fun here.  If you have kids, wait for a table on the beach, so you can eat and still keep an eye on your kids climbing around on the pirate ship.

Fish Tales is fun for drinks with friends, for dinner with kids, or anything in between.  If you want to eat, go early (before 7:00) or expect to wait!  No reservations, but there is lots to do while waiting for your table.  That said, it probably isn't worth it on a Saturday Night, as it seems that everyone with kids staying in OC tries to go there.  This is the ONE place we always have to go while in OC!

This was a fun little place to stop and get some lunch while in the OC area for a weekend. The food was very good, especially the calamari and the sweet potato fries! The drinks was great and the service was mostly on par. There were a few times we could have used our waitress but didn't see her around, which is why I've only given 4 stars.

I went to Fish Tales for the first time ever on a Thursday night.  We went there with 10 other people so we had a looonnnggg wait ahead of us.  They told us that we would have to wait for an hour and a half, so being the restaurant of choice from one of our peers, we decided to wait. While we were waiting we of course decided to drink some beers which were not to badly priced ($2 a draft for bud light).  An hour and a half passed us by and two hours sneaked up real quick.  Finally we were able to sit down and unfortunatly not altogether (tables next to each other).  It literally took 20 minutes for the server to come to our table for drink orders.  Yes they were busy but the server even came up to us when we first sat down to tell us that we were her only table and she would be right with us.  Most of the entrees were pretty pricey, so I went with the calamari (appetizer) and the 1/2 pound of steamed shrimp.  When we finally recieved our meals i was satisfied with the steamed shrimp for how can anyone mess that up real bad? The calamari; however, i was disappointed with for on the menu it said it was lightly dusted with breading and when I recieved my order it was DEEPLY fried and very greasy.  At the time I ate it with no regrets (the beer had a lot to do with that, plus how long we had to wait in general), the next morning I did not feel so well ( that had nothing to do with the beer).  A couple of other people from our group also said they did not feel good the next morning either (they had no alcohol at all by the way), and they also had deep fried stuff such as the flounder and the popcorn shrimp.  So i am not sure if it was the oil they fried it in or just a coincedence, anyway I would not pay nor wait as long as I did to eat there ever again.  But if you wanted to go hang out there to drink a few it is a great atmosphere on the water and they had decent priced drinks ....
