If you're looking for an indoor pool in the area don't waste your cash on a year membership at the Berlin location of First in Fitness. This pool is almost completely unusable. The combination of excessive quantities of chlorine and the pool's ridiculously high temperature causes problems for many users. Unfortunately my partner and I made a year commitment before we knew this, which is our fault. Don't make the same mistake.

Additionally the social atmosphere of the regular workout room is bizarre. Due to space limitations the work out equipment has to share space with the weight lifting room. This includes a lot of weight lifting dudes standing around staring and having the kind of conversations I'm more comfortable hearing secondhand at a bar. The women's workout room, no doubt developed in direct reaction to this scenario, is small but sufficient.

Tennis aficionados may like this place for its popular indoor courts. It seems to be the most significant feature of the Berlin location.

We changed our membership to the Montpelier First in Fitness which has no pool and no courts but a better floor plan and location.
