You learn something new everyday. This is true if you take a class at First Class Inc. Most classes are only an hour or maybe an afternoon evening. Classes can be as basic as learning to organize your closet or the more complex LSAT prep (which would be several weeks). They've expanded to include online classes.
Instructor bios and class reviews are available. The prices are pretty reasonable. In this day an age we are all either looking for more professional or personal development options. 1st Class is another option to doing that. I've taken a couple of classes and am thinking of teaching one.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dee H.Arlington, VA21056Feb 24, 2009
I've been to two classes here so far, and they were decent. The first was a soapmaking class and the second was a voice-over class. I highly doubt I'll pursue soapmaking outside of that class (too complicated and too many caustic ingredients for my tastes), but voice-over is something I have an interest in pursuing beyond the First Class class. I like how you get to take things home related to that class---we got to take home soap made at the workshop (as well as purchase from many already-made soaps) and got fliers and a free phone analysis for our voice-over work (recorded in that class).
The age range steers mostly towards the higher end. In the classes I've been to so far, I'm usually the youngest (late 20's) amongst a group of folks mostly middle-aged and up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2011
Rude customer service. I should note I did not get a chance to attend a class. This is because their system of notifications did not show me any class and I received no email reply from them. If you're going to use them, I recommend getting paper confirmation of your registration, otherwise kiss your money goodbye.
