This place must be good since the wait was an hour! I was impressed with the service and the salad we had was fantastic! the pizza, was good, but too greasy.

After Aimee and I had such an amazing dining expereince at the Henderson location I wanted to bring my fiance to try fireside, but I thought we'd try this location and try to skip some of the wait. It worked! We shared the 4 cheese salad and it was really good (felt healthier than the 4 cheese bread I got last time) and another hot and crumbled pizza. The sausage tasted extra spicy (spicier than last time) but the tomatoes kind of tamed the spice of the sausage somehow. We resisted dessert this time (not sure how though because their desserts are TO DIE FOR- probably because we had sprinkles earlier and I still had some waiting at home).

Went on a Saturday night with 6 people at about 6:45 and only had to wait about half an hour for a table - though when we left shortly after 9 there were still people waiting for a table. Also, service was a little slow.
I had the red passion sangria to drink and it tasted so fresh and yummy! To start we had the Fireside Fondue which was sooo good - cheese and pizza sauce served with pizza dough crisps - yummy! Then we shared the Italian and Fireside Cheese salads - our favorite was the cheese salad but the Italian definitely had nice flavors. Pizzas were "Stuffed" (the calzone style), Fireside Meatballs and Hot 'n Crumbled. All three were delicious though the Stuffed and Hot 'n Crumbled were the favorites. For dessert we split the cheescake and the peach cobbler. Both very yummy.
We will be back.

Good pizza, but I don't know if I would say that it is any better that that of similar places such as California Pizza Kitchen. This place would rate higher in my opinion if it wasn't for two things: The prices and the location. The location seems like a nice prime spot, and it is...for them. For those waiting to get in, not so much.
If they open up another one of these in a less crowded location I would probably be more willing to go. As is, I only cave into my wife's request to go here if its the middle of the week. I just can't see waiting an hour or more for pizza. Heck, if I wanted to wait that long I could have Brooklyn's deliver a pizza to my house, and at a much less cost for, in my opinion, a better pie.

I've heard a lot about this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We went a little later on a Saturday night and were immediately seated outside (though it was still a 15-20 minute wait inside). The patio is nice and I preferred sitting outside as inside seemed a bit loud.
The food is all family style so be prepared to share. We ordered the brushetta as an appetizer and it was like no other brushetta I have ever had. The bread was thick and piled with cheeses (including yummy goat cheese), tomatoes and pine nuts.
The pizza was perfectly done. The crust is thin and well cooked so it's not soggy. We ordered the slice spicy sausage and it was really good, but spicy so hence the name.
We also had a bottle of Kaiken, an Argentinian Malbec red wine, and it was wonderful. Service was quick and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try some other selections.

This restaurant is only open for dinner. The menu is in courses and is served family style - BIG portions to share with the whole table. We started off with 2 drinks. The mangotini was a steep $9 but oh so tasty! The sangria was $6 and it was good - almost grapefruity.
For our shared appetizer we ordered the $10 Serious Caesar salad. But it was iceberg lettuce DRENCHED in dressing. It was terrible. The menu described it as "chopped hearts of Romaine" but all we got was iceberg lettuce. Yuck!
We waited about 30 minutes for one 12-inch pizza ($12). I do understand that they have to prepare them one by one. But the restaurant was not busy at we didn't understand the delay. When we asked our waitress about the delay she condescendingly said, "Oh don't you worry, it's the next one out." She was so patronizing that I almost expected her to pat me on the head and give me a lollipop.
To be honest, the pizza was ok but it didn't really impress me. I liked it; didn't love it. The service was horrible. The salad blew. I doubt I'd ever go back.

Good but not good enough to warrant a trip back. We ordered the cheese bread appetizer, the italian salad, and the peta pie pizza.
Pros: Great service. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Chic atmosphere filled with the after-work crowd. Cheese bread was delicious - crusty bread topped with a 'heavy hand' of cheese.
Con: Cheese bread was expensive for what it is (just bread and cheese). Salad was made with overripe tomatoes (mushy!). Combination of flavors didn't match on the pizza and the salad. Pizza had a soggy middle crust. Crust wasn't as flavorful as it could be considering it was baked in a wood-fire oven.

The claim good pizza and it was really good when we went there. My dining partner and I went after catching a movie across the street. We had no wait getting in. Our waitress was a cute girl with a little attitude from the knox location. She was really helpful and entertaining. The area we were sitting in was dimly lit with spot lights on beautiful wooden tables.
We got the bruschetta appetizer and it should of been on the pizza list. Four thick slices of very good break piled high with mushrooms, tomatoes and who knows what else. It was delicious and a meal in itself. My companion doesn't eat meat so we opted for the arugula pizza. I had this once in Italy and really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to what I'd get here in Dallas. It wasn't the same, but still delicious. I wish they covered the whole top of the pizza with arugula for a little extra spice. There was a lot of other items on the menu I'd like to try. Even with a couple glasses of wine the price was very affordable. It's probably one of the better values near the Shops at Legacy.

I heard so many good things about this place and personally, I don't think it lived up to the hype. We tried to eat here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and the place was packed with a 45 minute - 1 hour wait. I tried to make a reservation but they said they do not accept them. We came back at 6:30 pm on a Sunday night and there was no wait. The service is excellent! Our waitress was very friendly, happy, and full of great recommendations. The ambience was also very nice. Lovely romantic lighting and nice decor. The bruchetta appetizer was very generous and creative but didn't really taste like bruchetta and was a bit filling. I was not really impressed by the selection of pizzas. We ordered the North Beach pizza and while it was good, I can't say it was the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was very thin and a bit soggy. I'm the type of person who likes to eat pizza with my hands and I had to eat it with a fork and knife because the crust couldn't hold up the toppings on its own. After trying this place out, I prefer California Pizza Kitchen if you're looking for gourmet pizzas. They have much more variety and you don't have to compromise with your date on which pizza to get. (Since the food here is family-style, there is no individual sized pizzas.) The one thing that may bring me back to Fireside Pies is the dessert. The Market Pie is the best dessert I've had in a long time! It's a yummy apple pie-like filling served underneath a crunchy crumble with coffee ice cream. It was the best!!

Touted by some as the best pizza in the Metroplex. I'm not sure that is completely accurate, but I'm willing to taste any challengers that think they can wrestle for the crown. Visited the Plano location (the one on Henderson is always packed to the gills). Waited a few minutes at the bar but with a quality specialty martini in hand, it was no bother. Above average service but excellent food. Start with the Italian fondue as an appetizer. Rich pizza sauce baked with cheese, accompanied by a garicky pizza bread is enough to satisfy on its own. Salads appear fresh and well-proportioned but save room for some pizza or you'll be sorry. It's a great combo of light crust, flavorful sauce and outstanding toppings. Be sure to split with your friends or you'll be eating it a few more times. The only flaw is that the place is really LOUD, but if you're stuffing your face, who really needs to talk.
