I agree with Stephanie K: best swim lessons in Tacoma! Reasonably priced, good teachers, decent changing room, nice pool - outside, and just a happy vibe about the whole place.
The price is reasonable: This year, daily - half hour lessons for a two week session is $47 for a non-resident of Fircrest.
The only downside is...lessons can only happen in the summer! -

Which means, I guess, if I were a parent with a young child, this would be a 5 star review.
3 star if you are a grownup looking to swim for exercise or relax by a pool.
5 star if you are under the age of 12 and looking to cannonball. -

BEST swimming lessons in town! Only during the summers, taught by college students. For younger ones, there is also a wading pool.
This is designated for Fircrest residents. Lucky dogs! So the wading pool is for Fircrest residents only during certain times, I want to say 12-4.
Lastly, the lessons are open to Fircrest residents first! So non-residents have to sit in line for HOURS, literally. WORTH IT!! Quality instruction!

The Fircrest Pool is open Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
