Home of the only rooftop dining in the North End. I really wanted to love it. Instead, I only liked it. The rooftop patio gets really packed on a beautiful evening, but the crowd at this self-proclaimed "hot spot to drink and dine" was a little older than i expected. Overall, i had a good time, but i imagine i wont ever be back. Meh.

Being a lover of roof-decks I was shocked to discover that there was a roof-top bar in my own backyard. My friend and I walked up the the roof-top and waited for a bar table to open up, the place was a pretty crowded with people having drinks after work i.e. lots of unbuttoned business ensemble...ick.
Because we where sitting the bar area we were required to open a tab at the bar, but had an attentive and pleasant waitress and access to the full menu. We split the "Pizza al Proscuitto Crudo e Scamorza" and "Bombolotti al Forno." The former was a very good and very Italian pizza with fresh mozzarella, rosemary, and prosciutto. The second was one of their house specialties and it was *amazing!* The homemade pasta was HUGE thick zitti with internal structure to keep said tube open for sauce filling, which was a tomato sauce Italian sausages, fresh basil, reggiano and goat cheeses. Delicious!
Bottom line: go to the roof deck and eat the specials.
My friend and I stopped in here after the Pride Parade because we saw a sign for rooftop dining. We were seated promptly on the roof patio and it was just gorgeous! We ordered a pitcher of sangria, and even that was beautiful. I'm no expert when it comes to sangria, but it was so delicious. i've been craving it ever since! perfect for a hot afternoon.
we split some pizzas (definitely should not have ordered two, they were big!) i actually found them pretty bland. not terrible, but definitely not worth $15 each.
despite the mediocre food, i've given this place such a high rating because the service was fantastic, the sangria delicious, and the atmosphere gorgeous. i'd definitely go back, probably just for drinks some nice summer evening. this would be a great place for a date, though i've heard it gets crowded on weekend nights.
Just had a group dinner for 25 people here, and Ristorante Fiore did an excellent job of handling our group. We arrived early for our dinner, which gave us a chance to have a drink on the rooftop bar, which is definitely a cool place to hang out in the North End. If that wasn't enough, there is also a patiobar on the ground floor.
Another plus is the large private dining room across from the rooftop bar. There are three options for a banquet here: buffet, family dining, and plated dinners. We opted for the the family-style dining and were not disappointed. Our menu included 5 courses: Tomato with mozarella and balsamic vinegar, pasta, caeser salad, salmon with asparagus puree and chicken saltimbocca, and dessert. All of the courses were solid, and the saltimbocca was exceptional. The salmon was just okay, but hey, we are from Seattle, so we are super picky about our salmon.
The service was attentive and professional, and I would highly recommend holding a group banquet here. Although the food isn't exactly cutting edge, it is well-prepared and comforting. With a smaller group, there are a ton of options in the North End, but for larger groups, Ristorante Fiore delivers on all fronts - food, service, and location.
Let me begin by saying I am completely biased in my review of Fiore's. The main reason for this is the multiple drinks I had in North End bars prior to my arrival at Fiore's. When I arrived at Fiore's I was smiling, drunk, and happy to chomp on almost anything. Also, the delicious homemade Sangria pushed me into a state where almost anything would have tasted good (I highly recommend the Sangria, holy god was that some tasty stuff).
I will proceed regardless of the disclaimer. The prices were a bit steep but that is about my only complaint of Fiore's. We made reservations and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The Bruschetta and Zuppa de Pesce were delicious; perfectly seasoned and fresh. I tend to think the North End is over rated and a huge tourist trap but Fiore's was pretty good!!!!
A final note, definitely get the Sangria. It will make the food that much better.
I thought the outside rooftop dining was great. Allows you to step out of the city on a hot summer night. Menu was limited but the drinks and service made up for it.
If this restaurant were anywhere else than in the North End and straight on Hanover Street, it would get 1 star. It's absolute convenience bumps it up a notch. Oh, and if I could have sat on the roof (too cold for rooftop decks), maybe another notch there. But as it stands, here's my review:
So the wait wasn't terrible (it was a Thursday and the wait is absolutely unbearable on the weekends) and the hostesses were nice. The service was also fine, nothing spectacular just fine.
My real beef is with the food (though I didn't actually have the beef). It was BLAH! The salmon tasted like lemon, nothing else, which is a sad state of affairs for fish that cost over $20. Oh, and the side dish was plain old mashed potatoes. So, meh.
I was just really unimpressed. Given that it's in the North End, there are just too many options around for me to waste my time on this place again.
Meh!

Delicious food! A great spot for spring/summertime outdoor dining.
I love dining on the roofdeck at Fiore. We usually call ahead and request it if we're doing dinner (they can't guarantee seating times for the roofdeck) and you'll typically wait around an hour post your arrival for a table outside. In my opinion, it's worth the wait and if timed right you'll be sitting and dining at sunset and/or under the stars. It's gorgeous.
Last visit, we ordered a seafood sampler while we waited which came out like a huge poo poo platter of assorted seafood and sauces, etc as well as several other appetizers, including their pizza which was also very good. Dinner options are many and super tasty and the service is "on" especially considering it's a little crowded up there at dinner time.
There is also a bar up on the roofdeck with table tops but they don't really turnover for obvious reasons. We still enjoy drinks at the bar and stand in the general area with no issue. Bartenders are attentive and polite. Fiore is For-me :)
Have you ever held off on reviewing a place because you really didn't have anything all that exciting to say? That's how I feel about the other night at Fiore.
I was afraid Mamma Maria was going to be too stuffy for a wedding rehearsal dinner party so I suggested we check out Fiore. Turns out, as a private party venue, it's not much cheaper than Mamma Maria - it's just not as nice. Plus, it's a heck of a lot more hectic and less professional. We didn't actually dine in the private function room - we just scoped it out. And let me tell you, the print on that carpet was L-O-U-D.
As for dinner, the food was really quite good. The man & I split the special anti- pasto with fresh mozzarella and marinated veggies & random Italian meats (they're not my favorite but I like the cheese & veggies). His mom had a spinach salad that looked delicious. The entrees were also really good and portions were beyond generous. My guy was pleased with his lamb with risotto and his mother with her lobster ravioli. I had the Zuppa de Pesce and the portion was so large I barely made a dent. I just kept eating and eating and nothing was disappearing from my bowl - it remained loaded with whitefish, scallops, clams, mussels and squid in a spicy tomato broth.
In the end, there were just a few too many things that made us decide to stick with Mamma Maria. The place is really loud and frantic (especially on a weekend night). We were given a buzzer that would tell us when our table was ready (like you'd get at the Cheesecake factory) even though we had a reservation and we told them we were considering renting the function room in the future.
Also, our waitress admitted she knew next to nothing about wine and said she'd get another waiter to come over and talk to us about the wine list. It took 10 minutes for him to come by. Overall, our waitress, although efficient, was annoying. She pointed at my future mother-in-law's salad so fiercely that she nearly put her finger in it and then very loudly asked "HOW DO YOU LIKE THE SPINACH SALAD?" Mind you, future mother-in-law is not feeble nor hard of hearing, in the least. The waitress just lacked a certain sophistication that we found among the wait staff at Mamma Maria.
But the deciding factor, was this - it actually cost more for the 3 of us to dine at Fiore than it did at Mamma Maria but the service at Mamma Maria blew Fiore away.
Granted, that outdoor patio would have be a nice respite come June but it was hardly a selling point on a frigid April night.

I tried Fiore this past weekend as a trial to see if I wanted to have my rehearsal dinner there. I came up with a resounding NO.
The hostess was very sweet and got us in to a table right away even though we were 15 min later for our reservation. Our waiter was ok - nothing spectacular, but he was decent and attentive.
The food was the big let down for me. I got the chicken parm and my fiance got the Saltimbocca di Pollo so we could sample a couple different flavors the restaurant offered. Both of our dishes had very weak flavor. The sauce was watery and the entire meal didn't do anything for me. Huge disappointment.
Even bigger disappointment - I had to stop half way home from the restaurant because I was sick. Just what you want after a nice dinner, right?
Definitely not going back here again.

This place was pretty good, and regardless of what others are saying, I had great service when I went to this place. The valet parking was a bit expensive, $20; however if you are considering driving to this place and finding your own parking... good luck.
I went with my family so I was able to get a wide variety of food to taste from. I ordered a seafood and pasta dish, which is something I won't ever get again. When you eat good fish, it shouldn't have that gross, fishy taste. The reason I gave it 4 stars, was because everyone else has an amazing meals. And my cheesecake was pretty good as well. Give this a place a try if you feel like spending a decent amount of money on a good meal. Just stay away from the seafood.
Oh how I love the North End.
Went to Fiore last summer, sat outside. Service, decor, atmosphere, food... all great.
I give it 4 stars becuase I think it's hard to go wrong in the North End, it's such a perfect location... makes it easy to succeed... also, I'm sorry but I dont find Italien food hard to go wrong with.
Let the disagreeing comments come in now.
Anyway, about this place... I'm saying GO!
So the weather is finally warming up. Ppl are breaking out of thier sweaters and jackets and it being one of my good friend's bday, what better way to spend a Monday evening than wining & dining on the roof top at Fiore. It was soooo beautiful and we got the best table in the house, right in the corner.
To get a table here, your whole party needs to be here. In our case, we were waiting for one more person, 3 present, 4 total. The hostess gave us a hard time saying we needed to have our party there but seated us anyway. The waiter also kept asking us if someone else was coming....sure it took our last person like 40 mins to come, but so what..she was coming!
we started off with a bottle of white wine. It was one of the cheaper prced bottles, but we couldn;t really justify spending a ton since none of us were wine connoisseirs. finally our friend arrived, we were already on our 2nd bottle of wine.
our waiter was really nice, he was attentive and always made sure our wine glasses were full.
we orderd dinner and it was sooo goood. i had the bombolotti al forno which is spicy italian sausgae with pasta and its baked. yum yum yum!
my friends entrees looked good too. one had pasta with salmon and the other had some pasta that had bacon.
for dessert, we shared the tiramisu and gelato. the tiramisu was delic but the gelato, well we got the assorted flavors which was pistachio ( which i dont like ) , strawberry ( which tasted lke penicillin/pepto bismo) and chocolate which was the best but unfortunately on the bottle and melted by the time we got it.
i highly reccommend coming up to the rooftop when its nice out and having some wine. its soo nice and some days, our waiter told us you can smell the ocean..hmm, we didnt believe him so we will have to come again to see if thats true.
Dined at Fiore over the weekend and wasn't blown away. Our table was in the middle of the room, and like other reviewers mentioned, it was very loud.
We started with drinks. 2 of my friends got dirty martinis, but they had to return them as they tasted bad. Not a good sign. As far as entrees, I had the lobster ravioli. Others ordered eggplant parm, chicken parm, a seafood risotto and one of the house specialities. We also ordered calimari to start.
The calamari was big enough for five, but they did not serve it with enough lemon or sauce. That bugged me. The pieces were very largely cut though. It was a popular appetizer as many tables around us ordered it.
Our entrees came out fairly quickly. I liked my ravioli as it had a marsala creme sauce which tasted pretty good. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals too.
I don't think I'd make a special trip back here as it wasn't terribly exciting or delicious.
Came here for a double birthday dinner, and was surprised at the wonderful service, delicious food, and (free) wine! We came in on a Sunday night around 8:30 and there were empty tables everywhere. After flirting with the GM for a little bit, we got a free bottle of wine and were well-taken care of. We got a half-dozen oysters on the half shell and calamari for our appetizers, and I ordered the salmon with asparagus and potatoes. For dessert, I ordered the assorted gelato, and it was oh-so-sweet! Couldn't have been more satisfied!
I also tried my friends' dishes; one ordered the New York sirloin (cooked to perfection at medium rare) - so juicy! And the other ordered eggplant parmesan - simple yet tasty! The creme brulee and cannoli were great ends to a fantastic meal.
Our waitress was attentive (and so was the GM), and the atmosphere was quite pleasant for a Sunday night. I think it would probably be much more different with crowds, but I have to say I was quite pleased with the food and service. I definitely want to come back (and hopefully get another free bottle of wine)!

Maybe not the best place in the city, and while up on the roof I am always waiting for a rat to go by... it is really great to sit up there in the summer and have a nice dinner. The bar on the roof is great, as well, but can be crowded with, well, a crowd that is a little old for my taste.
Honestly, I don't think I would even go here if I wasn't eating outside on the roofdeck, so I couldn't say much about dining inside the restaurant.
Sothis is for the roof deck and not the restaurant. I go there every once in awhile and the roof deck is cool for awhile and then it gets stupid. Crowded, annoyingly loud undergrad girls that really think they are something special. The hot ones don't have to act. I think people should go especially go on an off night, unless you're an attention whore...then you'd love Saturday night. I went in the summer with a few friends from school and it was pretty chill but then went with my wife and some friends and it was crowded and obnoxious. So hit or miss...but definitely go once.

My girlfriend and I went the other night and I must say the food was phenomenal. We are both fairly simple in terms of taste and both ended up ordering the Chicken Parm. We both agreed that it was one of the best Chicken Parm dishes we had ever had. The sauce had a great balance of sweet and salty and the portions were quite large. The service was wonderful as well and I think it is one of the few North End restaurants where you are not elbow to elbow with everyone in the room. Overall I would definitely recommend for a nice quiet night out.
Overpriced, mediocre food.
We ordered the calamari, which was thankfully not greasy, but disappointingly lacked flavor. My companions ordered the Parmigiana di Pollo and I ordered the Bombolotti al Forno, baked pasta with sauteed spicy Italian sausages, tomato sauce, basil, reggiano and goat cheese. It was a decent dish, but I would question the use of the term "spicy". John and Careena's entrees came with a side of pasta (rigatoni, I think) with marinara, which looked unappetizing. Neither of them took more than a perfunctory bite of the pasta, though both said the chicken was nice.
Our service was fine during the meal when we were ordering our appetizer, wine, and entrees, but when we failed to order dessert, the waiter suddenly disappeared for nearly half an hour. Seriously, it was as though he thought if he abandoned us, we'd change our minds about dessert. What a flake.
I've heard there are any number of excellent Italian restaurants in the North End; we simply had the misfortune to pick Fiore's instead of one of those.

Went for an early dinner on a saturday night (1000 open table bonus points for a 6:30 PM reservation)- and had a great dinner. Our server was attentive (a little like a used car salesman, but very good). The prosciutto and melon app. special was amazing, but huge! I definitely plan on making it at home. The gnocchi was good too. All in all, a good dinner- the front room was a little loud, but fine for a North End restaurant. The granache blend was a great red wine by the glass.

Ok, so being able to sit on the roof deck is awesome. Having to deal with the crowd on the roof deck? Not so much. Food was ok. It wasn't bad, but neither was it spectacular. Would I go back? Sure. Am I dying to go back? Not really. Make of that what you will.

For a "Fancy" Italian Place in the North End, it sure is pretty average. The chicken parm is absolutely amazing, so it's not like the place is bad, but besides the amazing blueberry salad, the fresh bread, and the chicken parm, I didn't really taste anything or see anything above average in here besides the prices. My Dad didn't like the Ceaser salad because it was overly "fishy" and my Chicken Dish (the only cheap one on the menu besides Chicken parm) was pretty disgusting, remniscent of what came out of my guests' mouths at 4 am of my Halloween party. Decent service definitely a plus here, as is the atmosphere and the cleanliness, but to be honest with you, I won't be coming back here. Ever again. I'd eat somewhere else in the area. Trust me, there's a lot more choices around here than this average place.
Amazing. I'd been dying to go here for months because that outside patio is so damn inviting. Feels like you've left Boston for an hour or so once you sit there! Food was absolutely delicious. I had the gnocchi, which hit the spot on a semi-chilly day. My husband had the salmon and scallop pasta, which was just yummy. Great wine selection. Very nice waitstaff. Reasonable prices too, and you get every cent's worth. Didn't try dessert because we opted for a take-home from a nearby bakery (gotta love the connollis!). Perfect outing, would go back in a heartbeat!

Gotta love global warming!! It is amazing how wonderful the weather has been this October in Boston. The fact that all the windows are open and the October 70 degree air rolls through the Italian restaurants on Hanover street, just gives me one more reason for Fall to be my favorite season.
We were sat at the prime table table in Fiore, front and center, right in front of Hanover St so we could people watch while we enjoyed a delightful Italian lunch. The martinis were strong and tasty! I ordered the lemon drop and I liked that there wasn't sugar on the rim cause that can get messy. The antipasti appetizer was perfect with prosciutto, heirloom tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese soaked in olive oil... It makes me smile just remembering the taste. My boyfriend ordered the crab cocktail and said it was the best crab he had tasted in a good long while (and he lives in Hawaii). The pizza was perfect for two... I know.. how romantic.. but it was a date! with olive oil dressing, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. The service was perfect and I would go back again. The prices are high, so call me a sucker.. but I will pay whatever for Delicious Italian food.
I love Hanover Street, it has truly authentic Italian cuisine.. but I guess that's why its in the Italian district, my favorite!!
Fiore is the ideal dining location in the North End. They have two outdoor dining areas including a roofdeck. This place is perfect for a large party. We were pleasantly surprised to find that two other parties next to us were people that we knew! The service was phenomenal. We had to call a couple of times because we were running late...that's what happens when you try to gather 8 girls to go out! They were very accommodating. We thought we were going to lose our reservation as we were running over 20 minutes late but they sat us promptly. Our server was attentive and entertaining.
Everyone enjoyed their dish. The homemade pasta is delish. I ordered one of the house specialties and although I do not eat many carbs..I scarfed it down...no leftovers here!

i've been here three times.
#1 was with my mother. i had surgery in the morning and this was the first meal i was eating in two days (i had to fast for the day before). anyways, i must say i was happy to heal my insides with fiore! the food was excellent, no wait, the waiter we had was so charming! i couldn't recall having better service.
#2 was with a friend comming from out of town. he loved it! he said, and i can agree with this, it was one of the first times an american restaurant cooked his steak rare when he asked for it rare. we had a sweetheart for a waitress. no wait once again!
#3 was with my boyfriend. i never had gnocchi so light and fluffy before! the sauce was perfect. no wait, fine service.
overall...i love it here! it's the perfect place for family, friends, and dates!
HA HA you're funny and like to spend a lot of money. Who am I laughing at, is it you? No, it's me - I can be a serious douche with my money sometimes. Like, when I decide to go to Fiore's in the summer with my buddy because we can smoke on the rooftop deck. Yup, the idiotics of smoking and drinking - you seek out shitty places to do it in public. Fiore's is a total meat market, at least the deck is in the summer. Which I guess is cool if you are loaded with cash, ambition and a strong desire to get your buns gooched (girls) and your egos bruised (guys). The food is really expensive and honestly pretty ehhhhh ok. Come on, it's the North End it's gonna be expensive and its gonna be a small portion so it's expected but still sucks. Overall, meh - unless it's a quiet night, in the summer, and you just got paid.

We went here last night to celebrate my cousin's and my birthday. They started out with five stars -- I like to think I follow our country's judicial code when sizing up restaurants: innocent until proven guilty. I heard through yelp they had outdoor seating on both a downstairs patio and the rooftop. So we made reservations. Perfect. They said they could write a note for our request to sit outside, but could make no promises.
When we arrived, they laughed at us for wanting to sit outside, telling us that the wait for those enviable al fresco spots was two hours! HA! And that if we just wanted to drink outside, we'd have to wait 45 minutes. So we said, ah, hell just give us some food inside and we'll get out of your hair. We went to the bar to wait for our table and sat there for the better part of an hour drinking yummy margaritas and dealing with the loud customers and bitchy hostesses who kept asking us if we were this party or that party. Finally my bold cousin decided to take matters into her own hands and tell them we just wanted to eat so could they please seat us. As she explained her position to one of the oh-so-stylish bratty hostesses, a lovely gay gentleman intervened and told her he'd take care of us.
Finally, a few minutes later, someone came to retrieve us (about an hour after the time of our reservation). We followed her dutifully to the table, bypassing the first floor, and then the second, until suddenly she led us onto what I can only describe as a rooftop Italian utopia. I was so delighted, after being rejected and dejected for so long in their poorly lit, overcrowded, loud bar that it was like returning to mecca. It was as close to divine intervention I've ever experienced.
Our waiter, although incredibly busy, was wonderful. He forced us to get a better bottle of wine than the chianti classico we requested (for the same price) and accommodated all of my spoiled birthday girl wishes (like tomatoes in the antipasto please and asparagus instead of salmon in the pasta). He was kind, polite, and funny and even put two birthday candles in our tiramisu without trying to sing to us.
The biggest problem (after the incredible inadequacy of the early hostesses) was my paparadelle with mushrooms and asparagus (not salmon). My first thought was Hammie the Hamster, an old friend who passed away in middle school. I made my cousin take a whiff of the dish and she used the word "urinaceous." But the espresso, along with all the other plates, appetizers and desserts, was quite lovely.
All this is to say that while they began with five stars they dropped to about two for a little while with the initial service, then back up to five upon meeting our gay savior and then dropped again to three with the urinaceous entree, but redeemed themselves to a final four, with the delightful table service.
I have to say, never have I experienced such a dining-induced roller coaster of emotions.

I had an excellent dinner at Fiore! This past Christmas my family and I decided to do dinner in the city, and ended up at Fiore. I'd never been there before (even though I'd lived near Hanover St. the year before, oops!). I was glad there was no set holiday menu. I was also thinking the prices woudl be MUCH higher, but out of the 5 of us there, I think the most expensive meal we got was $23 or so, and it was seafood. Not bad! I mean the place is pricier, yes, but it wasn't ridiculous.
They had a really nice wine selection and the decor inside is so cozy. I haven't yet been up to the roof deck but definitely want to check it out sometime!
Tonight was my first visit to Fiore. My boyfriend and I made reservations, and were really pleased when the hostess led us to a cute two-top placed in the corner of the roof deck. We both enjoyed our food- he had the oysters, and the chicken saltimbocca, I had the spinach & goat cheese salad and the eggplant lasagna. We were full, but agreed that the prices were a bit high for the portions. Our server was ok, but not very warm or personable- though the timing on everything- wine, apps, meals, was perfect. I should mention that my boyfriend became very ill almost immediately after leaving the restaurant....maybe some bad shell fish?? That put a damper on the evening. I guess I wouldn't be opposed to trying Fiore again, but given all the options in the North End I would be more likely to try some place new.
There's only one reason to come here (and it's a good one) -- the rooftop seating.
A full bar, bartops, table seating, tall heaters and ambience like a Roman rooftop add to the buzz and excitement. WIth no reservations for the roof, you need to camp out and wait for something to open up, but on slower weeknights, it's a great place to go after work with a group of friends.
The food is just average, but sitting up here on a June night with shared appetizers and bottles of wine, it just doesn't matter that much!
Next time you're in the North End, just pop up here for a cocktail before your reservation at another restaurant...or bar hop from up here to around the corner at Bacco!

BEWARE: Hospitalized after eating at Fiore!!
I thought I was going to have an amazing evening out with old college friends! I ordered the spaghetti with seafood and 5 hours later I started vomiting profusely for 3 hours straight. I was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with food poisoning. The worst part is that I have called Fiore and they have refused to refund my money; even after the Health Department was called. The customer service is absolutely ATROCIOUS and I would highly recommend YOU not take the RISK of eating there! And by the way, the food is tasteless unlike anything I have eaten in Italy.

I've been here twice.
Experience #1
My antipasto was good, but miniscule and small at $14. In contrast, the veal Saltimbocca was well done, and the portion was great.
But I felt as though I was in a foreign country. We sat in the front diningroom, 8:00p.m. on a Thursday...and it was so incredibly loud...I couldn't believe it. I couldn't hear what I was saying, fat chance of hearing what my friends were saying...and the poor waitress had a heck of a time getting our attention. Soundproofing on the ceiling would be an idea!!!!
Experience #2
Friends were in from out of town and we wanted to check out the famous Fiore roof deck for drinks. 10:30p.m. on a Saturday. It was busy, but not overly so. We were treated with the worst display of disgust and disregard by the waitstaff ( 2 different waiters) that we put a $2 tip on the table after finishing our cocktails and left. Also, if you're expecting to see Hannover St. from the roofdeck- forget it... while it is open air, there's a sort of garden wall type structure that runs up high on all sides. Probably for saftey reasons but still- be prepared.
Headed to Fiore again for a friend's rehersal dinner- and I'll give it one more shot. But at this point- not impressed.

This is one of my favorite places in the North End. It may not be the most intimate of atmospheres, but it's definately exciting. There's a lot to do and many choices to make between the myriad of dining rooms, roof deck and garden. It's more of an amuzement park than a restaurant. Either way, I've sent numerous people to this palce and none have been dissapointed.

My friend Lucy had her birthday party here on the roof deck and it was a pretty good time. If the weather is nice, and you want a drink in the North End area, then I would definitely stop in here. The crowd is quaint, manageable, and above all, friendly (which, for some reason, doesn't always happen in Boston). The drinks are also pretty good and reasonably prices. AND if you're a smoker, enjoy the once and a lifetime opportunity to enjoy a smoke and a drink, gasp, at the same time! Check it out!

Expensive and quite elegant North End Restaurant. It is spaciuos, great service, nice decor. I suggest it for al fresco dining with a group of friends! The food is good, it has Northern Italian influences like exotic seafood and lively spices such as rosemary and sage and a great t selection of Southern-inspired dishes. Among them I recommend steak with creamy mushroom sauces, bold cheeses and plenty of garlic!

baby, i'm bored. i used to think this was one of the best restaurants in the north end... so i went there over... and over... and over... and finally i realized it's not that interesting and the seafood's not THAT great/fresh. They serve traditional gourmet Italian food, but for the price it's not that great. ALTHOUGH i believe they have an outdoor patio which might earn some points. the place is quite large and has multiple floors... including a separate room upstairs for large parties. Worth going to once.

Last night, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered Taglietelle al Amatriciana, which was an okay portion size for $17. My fiancee ordered chicken parmigiana. The waiter asked if she would like a side of pasta with it. After that, we both were thinking, ok how much is this going to cost? Well, the chicken was $17 for one large piece of chicken. They added another $7 on to the bill for a side of rigatoni. While her food was good, $24 is not a good price for chicken parmigiana anywhere. Also, it came out to the table somewhat cool. We had to send it back to get it heated back up. They had no problem doing that for us, so that was good. Anyway, lesson of the day is watch what you order here. My food came with a price and portion you would expect. The chicken was not worth the money. Also, we would've ordered an appetizer, but the cheapest one started at $10.
I'd go back there again sometime, but chicken parmigiana will not be ordered.
So it may not be the most amazing restaurant out there, but at least there is no fuss about the place. Last night I had a reservation for five in the dining room at 8:30. I inquired with the hostess about sitting on the roof deck and she was able to seat us up there right away. Our waitress was attentive and speedy with our drinks. Our entrees were brought out in a timely fashion. My girlfriends and I enjoyed our meals, the company, and the atmosphere on the roof deck. Thanks to Fiore for a decent mid-week soiree.
