Thanks Yelp! If it wasn't for you I would have NEVER found this place. It's in kind of a weird not all the fabulous neighborhood, on a street you wouldn't drive down normally. The food was excellent! We went for a work lunch and everyone's food was top notch. The shrimp/chicken special was super yum, a little spicey just how I like.
The service was a little eh since it wasn't crowded, took awhile to get drink refills but the quality of the food more than made up for it.

I couldn't have been more impressed. Our server, Caitlin I think, was stellar- perfectly attentive, made solid recommendations for food and drink, and even suggested buying discounted GC's on restaurant.com.
The calamari was nice and spicy with the peppers, lasagna was delicious and the old lady enjoyed the lemon chicken.
They have a little outdoor patio, an open kitchen and a good bar menu (try the margarita).
We went on a Monday and didn't wait but I can see this place being very busy, and they only take reservations for parties of 6+.

Three of us arrived on a Sunday around 5:30 PM. The place was crowded - they had just completed a bridal or baby shower and the tables were all grouped together in a corner of the restaurant. We had to wait more than 15 minutes to get a table, but the wait was worth it.
Besides the food, things I liked included:
The kitchen is in the center of the restaurant. Cooking and meal preparation is performed in front of the customers waiting to be seated. You get an opportunity to look at the ingredients and utensils and cookware used.
Friendly staff. The two people greeting customers at the front door worked hard to get us seated despite the crowd of people leaving at the party ending.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. You don't have to go to the North End to get great Italian food. Some of my favorites are the traditional ravioli and lasagna, but they also have yummy seafood. The breadsticks are garlicky and delightful. We always take our out of town guests here.
Hidden gem in the burbs. Been coming here since it first opened 6-7 years back. A small family run place with decent parking and solid italian food. It's not super authentic like some North End places but their menu is decent. Reasonable prices too, you won't have to spend North End money here.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you enter this little white building it becomes charming with an open fire and cozy atmosphere. I loved the appetizer sampler platter that was perfect for four people and the bread sticks are great, which makes me think the pizza would also be yummy! Two in our party got a seafood fra diavlo, one seafood alfredo pasta dish and I got the lobster ravioli. While the ravioli were large and pretty (white and pink striped) I was a bit disappointed in the flavor...too much white wine!!!
We had a great server who was on top of things, even as the small dining room became more and more crowded. I will return and try something new every time! P.S. We used a coupon from restaurant.com, nice savings!
What a find! We have driven by Fiorella's for years and never thought it looked like much. Boy am I glad we finally went in. Fiorella's is a little small inside but the food was top notch.
We started with the antipasto and a side of sausage. They were great.
For entrees we both had veal. The veal saltimboca was outstanding and so was the veal gezabel loaded with red peppers, mushrooms and a touch of creme.
The service was great and the prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back....soon
Garlicphobes, beware. You can smell it in the parking lot. And it's still bouncing around my mouth. But damn, it's good.
Fiorella's is really pretty tiny considering all they offer: full bar, basic Italian standbys (chicken parm, lasagna), seafood, nightly specials (swordfish, filet mignon, and scallops tonight), and pizza. Dinner begins with a basket of garlic breadsticks served with Fiorella's red sauce, a somewhat thin but well-flavored rendition. Continue with the toasted ravioli: little puffs of riccota filled pasta deep fried and delicious.
The only disappointing dish I've had here so far is the lobster ravioli. While well presented (the ravioli have a great red and white stripe and it's all served over a bed of nicely sauteed spinach), there was very little lobster to be found. The lemon chicken, a great combination of sauteed chicken, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, and a lemon-garlic-white whine sauce, was a much better option.
We have yet to enjoy dessert on the premises, but they will gladly pack some up for you to take home. At no more than $4.99, the several choices they have like tiramisu, cheesecake, and chocolate fondant cake are a bargain.
Service has always been courteous though never outwardly friendly. The staff moves quickly and gets the job done. As is always important to me, my water glass was never ignored.

A small but welcoming and cozy little restaurant. It almost has a "North End" feel to it when you walk in and sit down. There is a lot of food to choose from and they also offer specials. The antipasto salad was delicious, but big for two people and they don't offer a smaller size. It is a nice local place to try that is not to much money and you will get a great meal! Enjoy!

yummy! garlic bread is amazing! you know you're in a good italian retaurant when the four tables next to you are being taken up by a big italian family. must try the ravioli appetizer (toasted ravioli i believe it's called?)
i gave it four and not five bc i've only been here once and as good as it was it's hard to give any place a five . . .

This is a cute little place, with amazing Italian food. It reminds me of being in a small, remote place in Italy, where good food keeps coming, the wine keeps flowing, and you forget/don't care about anything else. I would suggest making reservations as it's a popular place.
They make their own sauce, which is finger-licking good! I had a seafood pasta dish and chocolate cake. YUM! Can't wait to go back. My friend is a regular, and she told me that you can get on their mailing list and they'll send you a bday gift card/credit, so you can use it next time you come.
Definitely 5 stars for me!
I went to Fiorella's on a Monday night so there was basically no wait. We got there and was seated immediately. Since the restaurant is small I really liked that you have the option of hanging your jackets on the coat rack rather than stuffing it behind your chair. Once we were seated our waiter brought over complimentary bread sticks baskets with marinara sauce which were amazing! For an appetizer, we ordered the sampler which included fried raviolis, bruschetta, and stuffed eggplant. The bruschetta was delicious...the bread was soft and flaky.
For my entree, .I ordered the shrimp scampi. Now you would think that you can't go wrong with this since it's the "staple" dish of many Italian restaurants. On the menu it said the linguine was cooked in a lemon butter sauce. At first I thought maybe I was being too critical of my dish but another person at the table had also ordered the same dish and thought the same thing. I thought the lemon taste was a bit over-powering that you couldn't really taste the shrimps or any other flavors in the dish.
Overall, I thought the atmosphere and the service was good. The waiter was attentive...kept re-filling our water and bringing us new baskets of bread. I would go back just to try out their other dishes.

Edible. It's a shame, this place used to be so much better than it is now. We used to live around the corner from here and would go somewhat often. But I can easily and more cheaply make a dinner of the same quality at home, and without being ignored by waitstaff.
Excellent food - you can't make a bad choice. HUGE portions (think leftova's). SLOW service. Restaurant.com GC's are the way to go. Don't go at lunch unless you are off the clock - you'll never make it back in anything close to an hour if you worked next door.

The restaurant is small and cozy with an open kitchen. I've only gotten take-out from this place and it has been good every time. My favorite is the meat lasagna. The gnocchi isn't bad; it had good texture. I think I like Maggiano's gnocchi better though. The shrimp ala vodka was a little heavy, but still good. The portions are fair sized and you get garlic bread with your take-out order.

I almost don't want to write about this place because I don't want it to get too popular! The service was remarkable. The food is fast, delicious, inexpensive and the portions are huge.
We had a great experience here. It's a very small restaurant. As the other review says, the kitchen is open, and in fact it's the first thing you see when you go in. We also had the fried ravioli, which was delicious. I forget the name of the dish I had but it was pasta and chicken and artichokes and olives - yum. They bring you tons of garlic bread that is sooo tasty. The wine selection is good and I enjoyed the pinot grigio I had. It's definitely a cozy place with a neighborhood feel. You don't need to dress up, but you could if you felt like it. There was some sort of radio broadcast going on when we were there, they weren't loud or anything but we weren't quite sure what they were doing.
We're excited to go back now that it's warm because they've got outdoor dining on a little enclosed patio!
And here's a tip: they're on restaurant.com. I bought a $25 gift certificate for about $5. Pretty sweet, and had no trouble using it.
Update: we went again for my birthday (Jen) with Tim's parents. I had the tilapia provencale. Oh. my. god. SO delicious, definitely recommend it!

After reading the reviews here, and the fact my friends moved down the street from this place, we had to try it. Outstanding comes to mind! The place is small, can be a bit cramped with people waiting for take out, but they have a small bar area at the back so waiting isnt too terrible. We were seated right away, but since they only take reservation for paries of 5 or more, I can see where this place can get packed. They also have an outside dining area in the summer that would add more seating. Our meals were amazing, two of us had the lemon chicken, my friend's bf had the eggplant parm, and my fiance had the steak tip/pepper/gnocchi special. All dishes were hot, delish and large. We shared a couple of desserts and enjoyed wine. Our total bill was only $126. This place reminds me of Ristorant Molise in Wakefield but smaller. Home cooked Italian food and its only a 10 min drive from me. We will definitely be back for take out, or sit down. Bravo!

I've been here a few times. The food was very good. You can't go wrong with the chicken parm. The place itself is too small. I had the privelege of sitting next to a group of 10 drunks who happened to be good friends with the owner. Needless to say, after 20-30 F-bombs and obnoxious behavior me and my wife left. We left because the staff did nothing. The manager didn't charge us for our 2 drinks and offered to seat us across the room. He said the group was "friends" of the family and said sorry, but did nothing. Needless to say, you just lost yourself a potential loyal customer. Don't get me wrong the food was great, but for a family restaurant to allow that to go on is unacceptable.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants that is perfect for a 'date night'. The lighting is dimmer, the seating more intimate and the food, delicious. They have lots to offer, with every dish I've had (or tasted off others) been great. They also have the best 3 layer chocolate cake that is worth the extra time on the treadmill. Though it gets busy (lots of early birds) the food is worth waiting for. The service is good, with a lot of attention to water and how your meal is. They can even accommodate large parties (I would call in advance though). Very fun place to be for couples or a group of friends.
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. It is a small place but the atmosphere is great, with the kitchen viewable from the dining area and a brick-oven for their delicious pizzas. They offer exclusively Italian foods and have a rotating specials menu. They have an impressive bar and wine menu and I've literally never had anything on their menu that wasn't delicious. Their fried ravioli appetizer is one of my favorites, as is their gnocci, and the chocolate tartufo is amazing. The manager is there just about every night, and will often come over to find out how your experience is. The servers are extraordinarily friendly, very willing to make substitutions and make recommendations. If you are in Waltham or Newton, please stop by for one of the best meals you'll ever have.
