I went there on a date last weekend on the advice of one of my roommates. First of all, it would seem as though your not allowed to even be there in the first place if you happen to be under the age of 65. I swear, it looked like they were shooting a scene from the movie Cocoon. The waitress was very nice but almost seemed a bit nervous or something. She must of come by our table eight times to see if we needed a refill or if we were ready for the check.
The food was pretty good, I have to say I was impressed. The prices were somewhat reasonable as well. The only thing that kind of annoyed us was this guy sitting there playing the guitar. The place isn't THAT big, and the guy was playing just loud enough so that you had to make some effort to talk to the person in front of you. Sort of a weird vibe overall....but a decent meal.
I'm so sad Pescado's is gone. Loved that place. This is no Pescados. Hell, this isn't even on par with Long John Silver's. Blech. Is the cocktail sauce Ketchup+Relish??? Nasty!
Agreed that their food is over priced and not that great. Crappy service, and for the price I could have gotten buckets of muscles at Joe's Crab Shack that surpassed theirs with a blaze of glory. Boo Fins... nasty fish tacos and pretentious decorations to match their wait staff.
Horrible service. My boyfriend and I were trying the place out for the first time. As we entered, the place was not busy, maybe 4 or 5 tables full. The employees stood there and looked at us. After standing there aimlessly, we sat ourselves and got our own menus. Not one person came up to us to offer us water or take our order. Other tables around us were being served. After sitting there for 10 mniutes possibly more, we walked out. As we walked out the workers just watched us. Some sort of discrimination was going on. I will never return or recommend this place. They should receive zero stars.

This should be 2-1/2 stars, but there ain't no half stars on Yelp.
This place serves a variety of seafood, cooked simply. Our actual seafood entrees (shrimp, scallops, salmon) were grilled and done nicely. Unfortunately, my vegetable side prominently featured those crappy bagged "baby carrots". French fries were an abomination; those having never tasted French fries before would take one bite of these and support a boycott of France.
Service is barely adequate. I ordered salmon; the waitress asked, "Wild or farmed?" I went with the wild salmon. Unfortunately, I was not so wild about the bill, which revealed what the waitress neglected to tell us: the wild option is about 25% more expensive. The presence of my family was all that prevented me from throwing a very public fit of mock indignation until our bill was adjusted down.
By the way, the place features numerous framed awards proclaiming it to be Sacramento Magazine's choice for "Best Seafood Market." Either these documents are forgeries, or the voting members of the magazine's readership don't know sushi from shinola. The hilariously overpriced offerings in the refrigerated case look a bit past their prime, to say the least. And no place proclaiming itself to be the best seafood anything should display those nasty scallops sitting in that milky phosphate crud.

I'm sad Pescado's is gone (I really miss the pescado burrito and the VW van) but I have to say I enjoyed Fin's Market and Grill, its Fair Oaks/Munroe replacement, when I met some friends there for lunch on a recent Friday afternoon. We didn't have to wait for a table, even though it was pretty crowded, but our server was obviously covering a lot of tables so it took a while to get our drinks (good iced tea!) and for him to take our order (once he took out order the food came out fast). If you don't like fish then you'll want to steer clear because it's the only thing on the menu. That's not so bad for a seafood lover but it does make it difficult to choose something since there are so many options! It wasn't as inexpensive as I'd hoped but the food was good and there was plenty of it. I can't comment on the "market" but the fish looked fresh (but more than moderately priced).
My friend & I had lunch here. Food was very good. (I had Mahi & she had the fish tacos) Extremely clean & very pleasant lunch atmosphere. Open & airy room. You can buy fresh fish here to take home too.
I travel so often for business & have a difficult time finding healthy lunch spots. This was a nice surprise recommended by a local.
This really ought to be a .15 star. Had the fish tacos which were the worst I have had in my life. Soggy, overcooked mystery fish topped with coleslaw. Simply inedible. The staff was unconcerned and the food is overpriced. Save your money for that great seafood in the city!
