As a medical provider myself I find that I am pretty critical of offices that I frequent. The staff at Dr. Sanders office are incredibly professional and very friendly. I never spend more than a few moments in the waiting room or the exam rooms. They always seem to run on time. I found Dr. Sanders on yelp of course when I was having a lot of foot pain while exercising. After some x-rays and an exam, Dr. Sanders and her team quickly determined what needed to be done. Fast forward 2 months later and I am finally running pain free and buying the kind of shoes that keep me pain free during the day as well. Great office, great staff, great place to go. I highly recommend.

I'm in here every other week for a single pesky problem which might take months (it actually already is taking months) to resolve. This can be a little frustrating, but it's not them, it's me. More accurately, it's the pesky little bugger on my foot. Given this predicament, there are some things I really appreciate about this practice:

-I'm usually in and out in under 25 minutes

-the friendly, downright cheerful demeanor of Dr. Sanders

-candy

-they understand that copays can add up

I hate going to doctors because it's often a waste of time- the make you wait super long before you get to see a doctor and  you have to go in a bunch of times before getting anything fixed  However, this place was a completely different experience. The office is very professional, I never have to wait more than a few minutes before being seen (as long as I walk in on time), they are super friendly, and they worked very efficiently to get my problem fixed.

I started going to Dr. Sanders for ankle pain and shin splints (from running). Dr. Sanders quickly diagnosed the problem, used high-tech equipment to measure me for custom orthotics (shoe inserts), and helped me choose shoes that fit me correctly.  I am more than pleased with my experience here, this is how all doctors offices should run!

It's evident that Dr. Sanders truly loves what she does. She is remarkably cheery and good-natured for looking at and touching people's feet all day. After gimping around for a few months on a messed up foot/ankle that wasn't getting any better and a pending half marathon, it was time to get myself properly checked out. I've visited a few other sports medicine docs in the city, but wasn't overly impressed by them. My co-worker had gone to see Dr. Sanders and recommended her highly.

Dr. Sanders analyzed my gait and measured my hip strength and flexibility, to see where all of the problems could be coming from. I found out that I had tendinitis, brought on by my flat feet, years of playing volleyball and exacerbated by poorly fitting snowboard boots. I got fitted for orthotics and she also gave me advice on how to fix my snowboard boots so they fit better.

The good doctor knows all of the running shoe brands and models and told me which one I should get for my foot. She even has a shoe expert on staff! She also gave me helpful tips on how to pick out regular shoes that fit me properly. Seems logical that the widest part of your foot should match up with the widest part of the shoe, but I had just never thought about it before.

If you're looking for a podiatrist who is caring, competent and has a friendly and helpful office staff, Dr. Sanders is your gal.

I just got to work, and completely shocked. I just had the weirdest conversation with Dr.'s receptionist. I can't believe receptionist can be talking to clients like this, and being so rude.

I haven't had a single appointment yet, and really looking forward to getting into practice as a new client, but because of the receptionist, this door is closed....

crazy!!! I hope I find a way to talk to the Dr. directly, because I'd love to see her, but at this point I am extremely disappointed.

Can a doc actually help your golf score, I mean really help? Yes they can if you have the right one. Dr. Sanders got me running a few years ago with a sophisticated array of machines to properly diagnose and treat.

First of the year, insurance coverage kicks in for another pair of custom orthoitcs. I made an appointment. Once again staff is friendly and attentive as the other visits. Nice to see consistency.

Dr Sanders used the same pressure mapping system that was used to diagnose me for running and was able to evaluate weight distribution during my swing. With a new pair of orthotics and shoe recommendation based on her research I was ready to see if this would make a difference.

Maybe it's all in my head, but I was able to be more accurate in my shots and shaved a few strokes off my game. I don't think that I'll be a pro, but I think this actually helped quite a bit. It's all about stability and this is what I have now.

You'll never find a podiatrist who is more knowledgeable about sports medicine and performance or who will go the extra mile more than Dr Sanders. Her staff is equally as caring and competent.

Amazing service and treatment.

My negative experience at FDFAC was entirely related to its receptionist, which unfortunately reflects on the practice as a whole.

Dr. Sanders is very well known and is an expert on foot issues.  Her blog is great:  http://drshoe.wordpres... .  I would like to note that Dr. Sanders subsequently followed up with me and was very generous in resolving the issue.

However, prior to this, a simple dispute turned into personal attacks, harassment, and threats from their receptionist.  Feel free to message me separately for more details - I have some good horror stories that I'm afraid to post because the receptionist is so maniacal.  It is sad that Jenny Sanders, who is a great doctor, is associated with this place.  Should something change with regard to the receptionist, I will happily re-post this review with much more positive feedback, as I'm a firm believer in promoting great places and great people (for instance, the folks at One Medical Group in SF).

I have removed the details from the post, but I second all of the negative posts with regard to unnecessary visits, billing, and missed appointment stringency.

I hope that Dr. Sanders removes the person that is dragging down her practice, which is otherwise a very professional and great practice.

I've been to Dr. Sanders several times now and have been waiting to put in a review.  First off, the office experience has been great for me- I am generally escorted to a patient room within 5 minutes of my appointment and see the doctor relatively quickly.

Dr.  Sanders was able to solve the problems I had been having through a shoe fitting and the recommendation of some stretches and exercises.  I was extremely impressed that she didn't go directly to suggesting expensive orthodics for my plantar fasciitis problem.

Altogether, I have found it to be an ideal experience - my problems were effectively and efficiently solved.  I have always found the staff and the doctor to be friendly and helpful.  I would recommend her to anyone who is having foot problems.

I've been coming to the FDF&AC for a couple of years, ever since having 8 ingrown toenails extracted on the 1st and 2nd toes of both feet. I came here because I needed relief, which I got. I came back because I realized how much my feet benefitted from regular care. But why do I keep coming back?

They don't operate like an assembly line. They don't over-book their schedule. I arrive on time and am seen immediately.

Doctor Sanders, who I don't actually see during my appointments, always greets me by name when I come in to the office. Even though I have never had an appointment with her, she knows who I am and speaks to me personally.

The office administrator, Richard, is always friendly and even when I call in, he knows exactly who I am right away.

Jonathan, the staff orthotist - who I also have never "seen" for an appointment - apparently thought he saw me at a local bar one evening and came up to say hello. When the guy turned around, Jonathan discovered that it wasn't actually me - and then spent the next hour fending this guy off as he tried in vain to get Jonathan to go out with him! I heard this story during one of my office visits - when Jonathan stopped in to the room to say hello during my appointment.

The person I actually "see" during my appointments is Sam. She is great and takes fantastic care of my feet. My feet are eternally grateful that she decided to go into podiatry instead of becoming a super-model or getting her own TV show about teaching dogs to become professional bloggers (or any of the many other things she could have become).

So what's my point? I don't just get treated like a patient when I come here for my appointments. I also get treated like a welcome friend. It's like we really enjoy each others' company. I've never had that with any other medical relationship - ever. I know everyone in the office by name - and they know me. Even the people I never see. They even go up to strangers in bars that they think are me just to say hello. To me, that's pretty special.

And I get great care for my feet, to boot. (was that a pun?)

I will admit, I was a little turned off by the $100 fee for cancelling an appointment (if it's less than 48 hours away). But they were very transparent about that up front, and like I said, they don't over-book their schedule - and I understand that involves a level of risk too. The ONE time I had to cancel an appointment the day before, they were understanding and waived the fee for me. So I think they just don't want you to abuse that, and need a leg to stand on.

So this place gets a strong 5 stars from me.

If there were negative stars, I would have selected them. If you are looking for somewhere to order you orthodics or to trim your toenails,  this is the right place.  BUT, if you ever have a serious issue do NOT go here.

The service is inconsistent... there are at least 5 people who see patients, but only one podiatrist- Jenny Sanders. They never explain the real issue and are more concerned with shuffling everybody out of here than describing the actual problem -- maybe it's because they don't understand it themselves.

There are several people at work who swear by Jenny Sanders. I decided to give her a try, despite the fact that she has put 3 coworkers in "Boots" all for different ailments. When I came to Jenny with a sore foot, she also gave me a boot. I questioned whether this was the proper diagnosis, especially since it took her TWO months to diagnose the situation, and I had seen others in the boot for various ailments.... Not to mention, I had a sore toe, and wondered if a giant boot was necessary.

After six weeks in the boot (and also after running into a friend who was wearing the exact same boot for a sprained ankle diagnosed by none other than Jenny Sanders) I decided to finally get a second opinion and see a real doctor. He told me right away that there was absolutely no reason why I should have been in the Aircast BOOT, and that the problem would be better addressed with a small insert.

I decided to see a foot specialist who confirmed- again- that there was no reason to be in the boot, and that the boot would be a simple diagnosis for somebody who DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

And, the man at the front is very creepy-- beware of the candy jar, which he verbally forces onto you.

Dr. Sanders has helped relieve my plantar fascitis with custom-made orthotics. I had actually seen another podiatrist who looked at my foot and told me to wear Asics and do some stretching. This wasn't helpful.

When I arrived at FDFAC, I was greeted by very friendly staff. Steve at the front desk is very sweet. Dr. Sanders did a complete evaluation including observing me walk and x-raying my feet. She found that I had a bone spur. She then set me up for an orthotic fitting. Jonathan, the physiatrist, did a great job at evaluating my foot. It did take a little while to get the right orthotics. The first pair were made too narrow, and the adjusted version didn't quite work. But Dr. Sanders kept on until we got it right. I now have a pair of well-fitting cushy orthotics that allow me to run again! Yeah!

A few things to know is that the office requires patients to call their insurance companies to figure out your insurance coverage BEFORE scheduling the appointment. Although this might seem tedious, I actually was relieved to know exactly what would be covered and not covered. After this, the insurance billing went smoothly.

I have never been to a doctor's office without having to wait for ages- Dr. Sanders gets you in right away. Dr. Sanders and all the other doctors and staff in her office are so friendly and do an amazing job! I was having knee pain from working out and always walked slow. When I finally got the orthotics from Dr. Sanders my pain started to go away and my fiance was impressed that I was finally keeping up with him on our walks. Highly recommended!

The Yelp reviews were overall very good so I gave FDFAC a look on the internet and faxed in all my info and waited impatiently for my appointment.  The day finally came and I was very, very happy with Dr. Sanders and the staff that I met.  Dr. Sanders explains everything about your pain and why your shoes are good/bad.  If you read her blog, you can get a lot of information about future shoe purchases there, too.  She's so practical with her advice and so nice and friendly that I didn't feel like I was being preached to like I usually feel at a physician's office.  Even though soccer is the main reason I have foot pain, she's helping me figure out a way to keep playing more comfortably, where in my experience, most doctors would probably say, stop playing. Everyone in the office was nice and I, too was amazed at how much time Dr. Sanders spent with me.

I just went back for my orthotics measurments.  I seriously love Dr. Sanders.  She is so cool and tells it like it is.  She told me to bring in several pairs of shoes and watched me walk in them.  She put in some padding on several to make them fit better and make them more comfortable.  I've never left a doctor's office feeling so good.

They run their office like a collections agency.  I felt treated like a deadbeat the whole way through: they wanted a credit card number before even granting an appointment, their signs in the waiting room threatened big charges if you miss an appointment (though curiously they didn't pay me when they lost track of mine).  They ended up needing to bill me after the visit, and their preferred mode was phone calls demanding immediate payment, rather than a more conventional statement in the mail.

Clinically, Dr. Park was pleasant and competent but not extraordinarily diligent.  I felt she gave me workarounds rather than cures, and I didn't come out a lot better than I went in.

I have never witnessed such an overall friendly, helpful and knowledgeable establishment in my life. I was impressed from the second I walked in to my final minutes of departure.

I was personally greeted as I entered with a handshake and a, "Hello, Julia." I waited a total of 3 seconds before I was ushered back and sat in a comfy chair for evaluation. Once the Dr. arrived they were completely thorough in their examination - I felt as if they were truly trying to figure out how to help me; it was very personalized.

After my appointment was complete, I went to check out and pay my copay. The receptionist noticed that I had eaten a 3 Musketeers Bar from their candy dish and proceeded to give me a heaping hand full of them to take for my journey. He was so darn friendly! He's the kind of person that every Dr.'s office should seek out. It really does say a lot about a business when you can tell that EVERYONE is happy working there.

I had started going to see Dr Sanders after a few of my friends, (who all happen to be kaiser doctors), suggested that I go outside of the Kaiser system for orthotics to aide my super flat feet. That was ten years ago. Dr Sanders is very personable, hands-on, and when I'm at an appointment with her, its more like visiting with a long-time friend. Keep up the great work.

I really liked Dr. Sanders. Very matter of fact, helped me out, left it to me whether or not to start the cortisone shots or not and didn't waste time fussing with things. Third year med student who did the shot (under Dr. Sanders guidance).  ..well, not sure if this is normal or not but a week later I still have a gargantuan bruise. X-ray specialist was very friendly and they gave me a disk with my x-rays right then and there. Reception was very helpful and kept trying to give me candy.

On my second visit she spent time checking my feet in all my favorite shoes and giving me advice on how to get a proper fit in high heels and such. I was completely surprised by how I was suppose to be sizing shoes - I certainly learned something new!

Getting an appointment is a bit of an issue though, the first time. You have to fill out your medical history AND provide a credit card number by fax. I'm really  not all that keen on faxing my life history and credit card off. I'm a bit of a security freak.

Because of you, my girlfriend can walk without horrible pain. I am so thankful that you helped her.

A little background...

She went to Kaiser because she was experiencing severe (I mean baaaad) foot pain. The doctor took one x-ray of the foot and said she needed surgery. Even gave her the paperwork to fill out.

Seeking a second opinion, I turned to Yelp (thank you) and found FDFAC. Sent her in, they took an extensive amount of x-rays....comparison between L and R feet, bearing weight, different angles, etc. and determined that all she needed was adequate support in her one shoe.

Now, a couple months later with a special insole, she's walking pain free and enjoying activities that were once lost.

FDFAC also made financial accomodations for us, since Kaiser would not reimburse for the second opinion.

The staff were all so kind, polite, helpful, and witty.

From the bottom of my loving heart....thank you for making my girlfriend comfortable to walk again.

I would add on more stars if I could.

Now, I'm not a 'go to the dr. ' sorta gal. In fact, I went to Dr. Sanders because two of my friends raved about her, and I thought she might be able to do something about my bad ligaments. It turned out that I had been walking on a broken ankle for 3 weeks. (and a hole in my cartilage, and two damaged ligaments) Whoops.

So as a result, I've seen a lot of Dr. Sanders, and a lot of the staff here. Everyone has been so nice, so fantastic, and they've really made was has been a fairly crappy experience as nice as possible. Seriously awesome practice. Count me as one of the many fans.

Dr. Sanders has been a great help with a broken toenail that wasn't growing back properly. She came highly recommended by my physician who is top notch. We also checked out my running shoes while we were at it to make sure they weren't part of the problem since I run a lot. Always happy with the service, expertise and promptness that they see me when I have appointments. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful as well. I recommend Dr. Sanders if you need to see a foot/ankle specialist.

Thanks to Yelp I found Dr Sanders. I've never seen a podiatrist until today. Lately my feet have been hurting and I suspected that it might be bunions so I made an appt to see Dr Sanders. She is great! From the minute I stepped in her office, I was greeted by my first name and the staff is super friendly.

Dr Sanders is very professional and knowledgeable. She suggested that I get xrays today and that's exactly what I did. The bad news is that I have bunions. The good news is that it's not my fault -- apparently bunions are hereditary. Instead of assuming that I need surgery, doctor's orders is to bring in a sampling of my shoes. That's right, you heard me, I have to bring in 10-20 pairs of shoes so Dr Sanders can determine the next steps. She wants to see my comfy shoes, non-comfy shoes, heels, super high heels, flats, sandals, you name it. She says I can even come in rolling a suitcase full of shoes if I want ;) I may just need to do that!

Go, Yelp, Go!

I have grumpy, sports-abused feet and decided it was time to take care of them again; I found Dr. Sanders on Yelp and thanks to the good reviews of you kind people made an appointment.

Part of me was expecting a 15 minute "poke, prod, here's the deal and get out of my office" experience.  I am so happy to say I was completely wrong.  The moment I walked in the door I felt like I'd been a patient of Dr. Sanders' for years. Jeremy is great and super chill at the front desk.

Dr. Sanders spent at least 45 minutes with me examining my feet, ankles and shoes (cleats, running shoes and daily sneakers) the whole time explaining what was good, bad and ugly (not my feet - she complimented my little feet). She explained why things hurt and what can be done.

The next time I went in to get casted for my orthotics she looked at my running shoes again and suggested it was time for a new pair; then she wrote out a list of things to look for (illustrated, even!) and sent me off with the instruction to come back with a couple pairs for her to check out.

I just took a couple pairs of new shoes in for her to check out and as I was leaving there was a woman setting up 10+ pairs of high heels in the back for the good Dr to take a look at. Dr. Sanders is serious about helping folks get out of pain - high heels or not.

Seriously, if you're feet are hurting get over to Dr. Sanders with no hesitation.

Dr. Sanders and her entire staff are great.  I am getting married and went on a massive exercise program.  My foot started hurting and I saw Dr. Sanders who fitted me with the right type of shoes and orthotics! I no longer feel the pain I had and can get on with my exercise program!! She is a wonderful doctor and genuinely cares about her patients and their goals.  Additionally, every time I see her, I receive a very warm welcome from her receptionist, Steve, who is the best! He squeezes me into appointments at the last minute and gets everything right with my billing.   He always greets me with a smile.  I recommend this place to anyone with foot problems or anyone who wants to make sure they are wearing the right athletic shoes for their activities!

Dr. Sanders is great. I found her through Yelp and highly recommend her to others with foot problems.

My story: I've been experiencing pain in my left foot for the past year or two. I ignored it for a long time, then brought it up with my chiropractor and my masseuse, both of whom suspected I had plantar fasciitis. I bought some over-the-counter Superfeet insoles, which seemed to help a bit but didn't entirely get rid of the pain. So, I finally decided to see a podiatrist.

Dr. Sanders is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and her staff is great, too. The office is clean, inviting, and comfortable. I was able to get my feet x-rayed, have the x-rays examined, and get a night splint all on the first visit. I later had a more extensive analysis of my gait, muscular tightness, arch height, and even the fit of my different pairs of shoes.

Today, I picked up my custom orthotics, and I can already tell they'll help me a lot. I got the $540 bill before today's visit and was annoyed that my insurance didn't cover more (well, any) of the cost. What's great is that the office is going to taken on part of that cost so I don't have to pay so much. Nice! Dr. Sanders and her staff seem to really care about their patients.

I love Dr. Jenny Sanders!  I went to see her for the first time when I realized I had a bunion forming.  Oh how I hate that word.  Anyway, Dr. Sanders is awesome!  She fit me for a custom insole to wear in my sneakers and other shoes I could fit it in.  She also asks you to bring in your most worn shoes so she can give you tips about what shoes are good for you and how to shop for cute shoes that won't hurt your feet.

She occasionally has seminars about shoe shopping for the ladies so check out her website and give them a call.

Dr. Sanders has nursed me through multiple ankle injuries. I have broken my ankle once and sprained the same ankle twice. And I also sprained the ankle on the other foot too. OK, so I must have weak ankles. Every time I have injured myself she has treated me with the utmost care and respect. She is the only doctor in my life that I like seeing! I am never nervous when I have an appointment with her. She also fitted me with custom orthotics for my plantar fascitis and I have always been impressed with the care and thoroughness of her expertise.

I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a high quality podiatrist.

I saw Dr. Sanders for the first time three weeks ago.  I was diagnosed with plantar fascitis on my right foot; and I have known that I have flat feet for a long time but just ignored the pain forever!  So I knew going in that I was going to have some intervention such as orthotics.

Dr. Sanders and her staff were very friendly from the start of the visit to the very end.  She was extremely professional and took the time to explain my problem and how to treat it.

Now three weeks later, I have started using my orthotics and LOVE them!  Just bought new shoes and now have to go to her office to make sure the shoes are ok with the orthotics!

I was really impressed with this place....reminder phone call for appointment, no waiting time, and I never felt rushed at all.  She made sure I understood what was going on and explained everything in detail.  As a healthcare professional, I really appreciated the time she spent with me.  I recommend her to anyone that needs to see a podiatrist!

update: I went back with my shoes and Dr. Sanders instructed me on what to look for and how to fit my orthotics in my shoes.  Its been two weeks now and I have noticed a tremendous improvement in my foot health! Working as a nurse, I am on my feet all the time...I wish I would've taken care of this years ago!

As far as patient care (including service) goes it doesn't get much better than this.

One of the things I love about this place is that the office always seems like it runs on time.  That means that if I arrive at 10:05 for a 10:15 appointment, that I will be in an exam room at 10:15 (if not earlier) and someone will be in to see me within two or three minutes.
Also, Dr. Sanders will actually call me herself to follow up on a visit and it's SO nice that the front desk is willing to do some of the legwork with my health insurance company.  Dr. Park is great, too (the whole staff is, really).

I stumbled upon Dr. Sanders a few years ago when I was having trouble with my knee.  I run (and bike, swim, hike, etc.) and she was very understanding about my need to be back on my feet as soon as possible.  I brought in a couple of pairs of running shoes and she gave me excellent advice about the fit and what to look for in a shoe.  She made me orthotics to wear with my new shoes and since then I have been more or less free of pain in my left knee.  Added bonus: I now have ten toenails because my shoes fit properly.

I really appreciated the fact that she was willing to fix my knee and get me running again (and prevent future injuries) as soon as possible.  In the past, I feel like a lot of doctors have simply said, "Just stay off it until it feels better;" an attitude I find to be most unhelpful for my situation.

I recently tore a ligament in my ankle, and they are taking great care of me.  There is no way I would have even considered going to see anyone else.

It all started after I started ramping up my training and adding more miles. Unfortunately, the pads on the bottom of my feat began to burn. I looked around and ended up seeing Dr. Jenny Sanders at the Financial District Foot and Ankle Center. I was immediately happy with my choice because she was willing to take time to address my problems. Also, while the problem sounded simple, it wasn't easy to solve.

She's very personable and very knowledgeable. I found that she catches all aspects of the problem.

I had a similar experience as meg b.  I went to get orthotics because I have major pronation issues and my old custom orthotics were worn out.  I was told everything including the visits would cost $550 before insurance, which I knew would pay $200.  Five office visits and over $1000 billed to my insurance later, after seeing Dr. Saunders at only 2 of these visits and for a very short period of time, I am not even wearing the orthotics they made me.  They were made out of material that did not support the weight on which I roll onto and I started to have knee problems. One person tried a quick fix to address this issue at one of the follow up visits but it did not help.  I did not see Dr. Saunders at any of the visits after the orthotics were made - maybe she would have had more insight into this issue as she was the expert I was expecting to help me.
In all, I am really upset with how I was treated during this office visits and I would not recommend Dr. Saunders office if you need custom orthotics.  Getting custom orthotics should not take 5 office visits and should not cost over $1000.
I will say that the man at the front desk comped me a visit after I complained about the billing, which was nice of him, but I still ended up paying way more than I was originally told.  Not ok.

Can't say enough good stuff about Jenny Sanders and her office.  I've never had a problem scheduling an appointment or getting someone on the phone.

I've been seeing Dr. Sanders for almost two years and she's helped me through multiple foot problems, mainly related to neuromas.  She has called me on evenings and weekends to check in on me.  She's made last minute appointments for foot emergencies, squeezing me in between appointments.

I've recommended Dr. Sanders to a number of people and no one has had a bad experience.

Darci is a sweetie.  She's been a great help to making sure I don't abuse myself too badly.  Very knowledgeable, personable, and effective.  The office staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

Warning: don't miss an appointment or cancel without 48 hour notice; there is a $100 fee.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. Everyone is careing, kind and informative. (even the receptionist!) Dr. Sanders and Dr. Park both have gone out of her way to help treat me.

For example:
While they were treating me for my foot I fell off my bicycle the same week and broke my left hand. What I was surprised by most was, they gave me emotional support, gave me advice on what to expect with insurance companies and suggested a surgeon that was able treat my hand.

Since I'm young and I know nothing about the medical community or how its run I trusted their judgement because they've been so kind to me in the past and it couldn't have worked out better. I also was amazed at how even though they study podiatry they still care about your personal well being.

How many doctors do you know that do this?

I went to this office partly because the doctors were within my provider, but really, I think I got super lucky.  I also chose it because it was downtown and they had a good website!

I'd been having foot (right) problems for at least the last 3 years, though I think it's something that has continued to get worse over the last 10+ years.  Now that I'm with a company that has insurance, I figured it was high time I got my foot sorted out.

I saw Dr. Park and she was immediately welcoming.  She was super personable and had me do a few little tests here and there to see what my foot was and wasn't doing properly.  I did some xrays and the xray tech was nice.  I'd never had xrays done before and she was very good about telling me what I needed to do.

Dr. Park then had me come in and look at the digital xrays a few minutes later explaining to me what the bones were doing and how my feet compared to each other.  After concluding that the pain I was having was possibly caused my bones crushing together (eek!), she said that I needed to get orthopedic inserts and that it was time for me to go to physical therapy.  I thought "Oh goodness, therapy??  Am I that bad??"

I've returned to their office to do casting for my orthotics and also when my orthotics arrived (woot, 2 days ago!).  She's a super cool doctor.  She has always checked in with me every time I've gone to see how I was doing, if I was having any other problems and of course, how the physical therapy was going.

When I went on Monday when my orthotics came in, she had me walk with them in my shoes and she immediately said she could see the difference in my walking.  She was amazed.  When she first saw me walk, she said I kind of shuffled my feet and that my hips were probably tight.  Well now, I've been making longer strides and making a conscious effort to literally move my whole leg from the hip down when I walk.  She was very impressed.

I'll be returning in 6 weeks to see how my inserts are working out for me and how my foot pain is coming along.

I love Dr. Park.  She's always happy to see me (maybe she's that way with everyone!) and likes to ask about what's going on with me, like if I have any plans that weekend and so on.  She definitely has a sense of humor so that's a plus.  I also feel that she's very informative and tells you everything in simple English because we all know that things get complicated when looking at xrays or using medical terms!

The office is nice.  Jeremy (front desk guy) is always nice and chatty.  You can tell when he's tired or is stressed, but he's always polite on the phone with people or in person.  Oh, and they have yummy candy bowl too!!  I think they had some Snickers and Milky Ways.  Either way people, good stuff to choose from when you're signing in or paying a bill :P  Snag a candy!

They've always been on time so far (I'm normally the first appointment of the morning) and haven't left me waiting for more than a minute or 2 for the doctor.  How's that for a cool doctor's office?  They have a good selection of magazines, but you normally don't have a lot of time to flip through them because chances are, you'll be called in immediately because the doctor will be ready to see you when you arrive.

All and all, I wish all doctor's offices were like this.  Punctual, super friendly, appointment reminder calls, clear and simple explanations of diagnoses and genuinely concerned about your well-being.

Nothing short of 5 stars folks!

Dr. Sanders is a very friendly knowledgeable doctor...however I feel like my visits with her are rushed and abbreviated. Also, from making my first appointment I told them I needed insoles for my arches and had to wait until the second visit to actually get to the heart of that matter. I feel like the first visit was a waste and I would have appreciated being asked to bring my running shoes and shorts to the first visit to save me my co-pay. If you are going for insoles, bring your running shoes and shorts to the first visit. Finally, I was 10 minutes early the other day and the office was still closed for lunch and Dr. Sanders came out and told me to wait in the hall until they reopened. I don't see what the big deal would have been to let me into the waiting room. Later I think she felt a bit guilty and sent me home with some free dress shoe insoles.

Nice doctors but pissiest receptionist you ever did see. I'm certain there's a missing display insole shoved up somewhere inside him.

I found Dr Park through Yelp (thanks, Yelp!) and she has set a new, very high bar for me in terms of health care. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and Jeremy at reception is great. I had been having pain in my right foot from an injury. Dr Park explained what was going on, why it was happening, and all of the options we had for trying to treat it.

Since I walk to work every day and take dance classes, we decided to try avoiding surgery by having custom orthotics made for me. Within a week of wearing the inserts, the foot pain vanished. And better yet, the nagging pain my knee from an old snowboarding injury eased as well.

I adore Dr Park and highly, highly recommend her.

I think those few complainers below must have gone to the wrong office.  I went yesterday for my first appointment with Dr Sanders and her team, and they were all preternaturally affable, to a person.  Every single one of them strove to make my time there as easy and pleasant as possible.  The whole shebang was as close to perfect as I've ever experienced in a physician's office, and I went away with very concrete ideas about how to right the wrongs I've been doing to my feet.  What more those others could want, I can't imagine. (That said, I agree with TM S about faxing in my life's story ... that was a bit uncomfortable, and if they absolutely have to collect that info before an appt, I think they ought to do it by secure server in the future.)

Updating my review based on the on-going billing saga. I'm sorry to disagree with the many positive reviews here, but I have had a very bad experience with Dr. Sanders.

Dr. Sanders and I (or rather Dr. Sanders' husand and I, which is really wierd) have been going back and forth about my bill.

Basically, they told me that they were in network with Aetna when I became a patient. It turned out later that they weren't in network at the time of my appointment. It's all pretty shady and now they are charging me $515 (when I expected to pay only my copay of $25).

Needless to say, I'm pretty mad, especially since the only thing Dr. Sanders really did was tell me to stop running for a while. I'm not sure how that merits $515 to begin with, but anyways...

So, i've now been hung up on by the new office manager and I just a letter from a collections agency over this. At first I was surprised by the number of positive reviews, but then I noticed that some of the more recent reviews are a bit less positive and I think that there have been some changes at the office recently and it's gone downhill.

I would definitely not recommend going here, but if you do...be very cautious about their billing. Double-check everything or you may end up with a much larger bill than expected and then end up in collections!!

Do you have true love in your life? Someone who really REALLY loves you?
If you do, then ask that person to run over your foot with the car just so you can have an excuse to go to FDFAC.
I love it that much.

I was walking around for a year with turf toe (hallux rigidus) and pretty severe bone spurs - nothing would ease the pain. Dr. Sanders hooked me up with custom orthotics and Dr. Park did an AMAZING job on my cheilectomy surgery - it was so pain-free I didn't believe she'd actually operated. I didn't even need my painkillers.
I've still got a bit of swelling, but I anticipate a really solid recovery and no more limping around - if you've ever had chronic pain, you know how big that is.
The doctors and all the staff are just outstanding in every way. If your appointment is at 10am, it's AT 10AM...not 10:45 like most doctors.  All that paperwork that you have to do when you see a new doctor? You can download it from their site ahead of time so you're not madly scribbling in the lobby. The doctors are super nice and spend a ton of time with you, the office is modern and well-appointed...I love this place.

They even sent me flowers after my surgery. Who does this?

If you've got foot pain, turn off the computer and go.
And thanks to you other Yelpers for pointing it out.
