Without question- my favorite pizza in Boston (and I'd argue the best pizza in the city too).

Stonehearth is excellent and comes close, but not quite.

Zing is fantastic, and the unique combinations are great (latest I had was a roasted potato and ricotta slice), but again...not quite.

While it can be a pain actually getting a table at Figs (it's incredibly small and always packed, not surprising given the quality of food), it's always worth it. One pizza is more than enough for two people (probably too much, but I find room). My personal favorite is the spicy chicken sausage and ricotta pie. But all are great and you can't really lose at this place.

This was a pretty damned good pizza place.  The selection of pies and toppings was phenomenal.... but seating took AGES, and talk about small... I was literally bumping elbows just sitting at the table.  It's ironic too, because pizza just seems to take up a lot of space.

The tight quarters and bustling atmosphere definitely add to the charm of this quaint pizza place.
The price was not bad.

Wow.  Glad to see that everyone enjoys this place.  But I've come to break up the party.

If you make a reservation here, whatever you do, do not expect to be seated on time.  If you're lucky, you'll be seated 20 minutes after your reservation time.  My favorite one was 40 minutes after.  Why the wait, you may ask?  Simply because I feel this establishment is one of the poorest run in all of Boston.

Chaos.  From the waitstaff, noise level of the patrons or the music itself, this place brings the feeling of utter chaos.  I'm feeling a little confused as to the vibe this establishment is attempting to create.  My first impression that this was going to be a relatively nicer place to be.  It's VERY small, yet really beautiful inside, and decorated very simple yet tastefully.  Though the mix of Phil Collins, Brooks and Dunn, to U2 (played at what seems the highest level possible) is really what threw me the most.

The music selection compared to their establishment is like a late 40's year old woman still shopping at Forever 21: a little inappropriate.

I felt as though I had to beg for service here.  From me not getting a chair when we were seated (and standing until I could wave someone down), to asking her kindly for a soda and a salad after skipping right through our order and the request to clear my salad plate so I could have room for my meal seemed a bit much.  Plus trying to get our check picked up was more of a task than it should have been.  It wasn't until I was barked at to move when I was waiting for the restroom that I realized "you know, I think I'm all set with this place and I'm pretty sure I'll never come back again."

And the pizza.  It's just pizza.  Honestly, it's not bad.  It's good.  But it is nothing special.  I don't feel like there is any unique quality to make them stand out except for the occasional "special" ingredient that quite frankly can be found at any hole in the wall establishment for cheaper.

I am a very fair person who's always willing to give someone or something a second try.  A person who does not immediately jump to negative conclusions.  And after giving this place what feels like too many tries, and being consistently disappointed, I feel confidant in my decision to never return.

I am a long-time fan of Figs, having gone to the Wellesley location many times before it closed. The food here is great. My favorite pizzas are the fig and prosciutto and the bronx bomber. The macaroni simone is great, as is the challah bread pudding.

This was my first time at the Beacon Hill location, and I was disappointed by the service. Our server didn't ask us if we wanted anything additional before bringing us the check, and when I said we wanted to eat dessert, she told us that due to the size of the place, dessert could only be taken out. I said fine, but that I was disappointed. The manager then came over and said that we could have our dessert in the restaurant, as long as we did so quickly. While I definitely did appreciate that she made that concession for us, I was surprised that they were so blatantly rushing us. I don't think I'll be back to this location.

Three words that describe this pizza: Snap!  Crackle!  Um.

For all the bias that I have for New York pizza, this place manages to put its own twist in and keep it tasty.  We ordered the Pan Braised PEI Mussels (tart and spicy tomato sauce with such fantastic croutons), Margherita special pie (a tad too oily due to the pesto sauce base), and the Fig & Prosciutto pie (a bit too jammy for pizza).  The pizza crusts were fundamentally very good (cracker-kind of texture), and it's a cute place and a nice attempt at haute pizza, but the service was too pedestrian.

Craveable. Once you have Figs pizza, you'll want to eat it for the next 2 weeks straight at least. Kinda like Chinese food! (Not the taste of the pizza... just that you'll want to keep eating it... anyway..) The cool part about Figs is that it's not more expensive to get a pizza that's half one specialty thing and half another, so you get to try more yummy pizza flavors! My favorite so far are the fig & prosciutto, spicy shrimp, and the spicy chicken sausage. The crust is so crispy and thin! If you eat at the restaurant, they bring out the best bread and oil. If you request it for take out, they won't hesitate to give you some, and maybe even throw in some bread pudding for dessert! (Which is also to die for). I'm getting hungry just writing about Figs!

This place was great.  I tried about 4 or 5 different pizzas with everything from pepperoni to artichoke and they were all really outstanding.

Service was good, decor was very cute and, of course, the location could not possibly be beat.

Didn't try any pastas to be honest, but would definitely go back in a heartbeat to test out some of the basics.

A little pricey but it has so much to offer.  You can walk around all over the place afterward to burn off some of those calories.  The environment couldn't be better.  You're next to the Commons, a Starbucks, just great.

Enjoy.

P.S. Next door is The Paramount.  Despite how good this place is, it does NOT beat The Paramount.  That place is a perfect FIVE.

Overall, they make some yummy pies!

We had the pizza bianco and the another with caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, arugula and balsamic on top (not sure what it was called).  Both were yummy and well worth squeezing into this tiny not-too-many-frills restaurant.  If you've ever been to Cambridge 1 in Harvard Square, the pies are like that, only they taste yummier and are a better value.  Next time, I'll definitely try out some of the entrees and will break into the wine list.

The service here, however, is less than top-notch.  Took a while for anyone to even come and take our order and I had one fill-up of water the entire time (at the beginning), even though I mentioned to the server twice that I'd like to be topped up.  It wasn't that the service was mean or grouchy... they were just... absent.

YUM!  really really delicious.  We could never get a table on a weekend so finally tried a Tuesday night.  Not only did we get a table right away, but we were immediately given water, menus and the opportunity to order wine (yay.)

We started with the crispy asparagus, which I thought was delicious.  Served on a bed of baby greens with a delicate aioli dressing, they were warm, crisp and totally delectable. We split a pizza with roasted with caramelized onions, preppes and fresh mozzarella - it was fantastic.  The onions in particular were cooked to perfection.

The restaurant itself is a cozy size and everyone is very friendly.  By the end of our dinner we knew that names of all the people sitting around us and were having a big group discussion with strangers.  I love that!!!

Fig's is one of the few restaurants I have tried on Charles Street as a cash-strapped college student on Beacon HIll.

The food was delicious. We tried to asparagus frites, which were GREAT! And we also had salads and a huge, delicious pizza.

The prices were fair, although it was my birthday, so I didn't pay!

The service was good. Our waitress was not overly friendly, but the hostess was so sweet. Towards the end of the night, she gave my friends and I all free glasses of Sangria to try.

The atmosphere is dark, cozy, somewhat romantic. Definitely a place to go  for an intimate meal with people you love.

You should definitely try it! It is always busy, so try to make a reservation in advance.

I have this horrible rep for going to new places and not trying their specialty.  Looking over others reviews, I see that the pizza is very popular.  Ya, ya, I saw the open pizza oven that took up half the restaurant.  I mean, I saw everyone eating pizza, but I didn't order it.  However, this one time, in my defense, by the time I got to the table I was so annoyed, I'm suprised I made it through the menu.

It was a Sunday, and when we arrived there was one other table in the restaurant.  There was a bartender, what I took to be a hostess of some sort, two waiters, and two 'pizza cooks'.  I know this because we stood there watching them all chit chat while we stood at the door waiting to be acknowledged.  Now, this restaurant is TINY...so the fact that there was suddenly four people that just entered the room could in no way have gone "unnoticed".  Eventually, someone kind of said hi.  We were told (not asked) to hang our coats up at the door and , kind of, led to our table.

The food was good.  Thats where the stars come from.  In fact, my in-laws RAVED about their Tilapia.  Mine was good, no complaints there, but I don't remember what I got, if that tells ya anything.

Now, I'm just one of those dudes.  I have worked in the service industry FAR too long :) and spent many many many hours being a bartender/server in my life.  So, ya, that can make me a hard sell at times.  This may be the case here...But the service was lackluster.  The space is really small.  From our table I got to stare at the 'pizza cooks' stand there staring at us and then quietly (sometimes) talking about the different guests in the restaurant.  A large group came in and stood by our table, meaning we also basically got butts or crotches in our faces while tryin to eat.  I'm glad I got to check it out, but I doubt I will return to the Beacon Hill location.  Are the others better??

Delicious! I just moved back to Boston three days ago, and this was the first new place I tried. I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible Fig and Prosciutto pizza I ordered. Granted I'd been living in California for the last 6 years where the pizza is awful. I loved the ambiance as well, it was a cute, quaint spot that I thought would be a fun date spot. Enjoy!

Hats off to the chefs, big British air quotes to the wait staff.

While the food quality and selection are simply outstanding, the same cannot be said for the abysmal service.  I have visited Figs twice since moving to Boston.  The first time was greeted with a waitress that simply could care less about our table or any others.

In order to avoid that mess again and to catch a train, I then ordered carryout the second time around.  The hostess could not update us on the pizza and then she simply vanished, thereby only adding to the long queue of people at the door.

As they say "third time is a charm" and I hope the next time will be better.  It of course will be delivery.

Let me start by saying that the food was delicious. My table of 4 ordered 2 whole pizzas (each of up selected a 1/2), salads, and wine. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We sat right across from the pizza oven and had fun watching them make the pizzas.

So, all and all the meal was really good but there were two drawbacks that I experienced. First, we arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and waited 25 minutes for our table. There was one hostess who was also doubling as take out food man and answering the phones. While the place is tiny, it seems like he really needed some assistance. It was stressful! The place was packed (a good thing) but it was cold and there was nowhere to stand inside (bad thing). I dragged my friends all the way int o the city just to eat there so the wait was a little frustrating. Twice we got called up for a table and twice were sent back to wait again. Worse than the wait was that every time a new person arrived, they had to push past the whole crowd and struggle to get to the hostess. I couldn't help but feel really claustrophobic. Basically, their crowd flow wasn't working.

Secondly, for being a popular Tod English restaurant we were surprised to see major wear and tear all around the restaurant. Two of the stools at our table were broken, there was a hole in the ceiling above that had been patched with black electrical tape. We also noticed another few bumps and bruises too. Alright - not a major deal, but surprising for such a tiny place right one Beacon Hill.

Anyways, the drawbacks are minor. Great pizza place - perfect place to meet up for a casual, but nice, meal.

I was in Beacon Hill with my parents and happened to remember that this place has great reviews on yelp. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint! We had one pizza for 3 of us and did half eggplant and my dad got something with sausage. The bread they serve before the pizza came out was wonderful and the pizza was great too!
Tiny place but cute!

I have only been here twice, but both times have been really enjoyable. I've never ventured far from the pizza portion of the menu, so I can't say much about anything but that. The pizza is delicious, especially if you like a nice thin crust and specialty toppings.  If you don't feel like pizza they have lots more to choose from. Service can be a little up and down in my experience, but it does get pretty packed so I can cut them some slack.  Definitely a great place to stop in for lunch with a friend after some shopping on Charles St.

Despite the rave reviews, I found Figs to be a disappointment.
Frist of all, the restaurant is very small and crowded, yes, it does seem "cozy" but when it becomes difficult to get in and out of your seats it's just plain annoying.
The service was also extremely lacking. I'm all for wait staff not writing orders down and "remembering" the orders, but only if they actually remembered them. Our waitress had to confirm our order with us three times and still managed to miss something. Very unimpressive within the first 15 minutes of our "meal".
Between the three of us, we ordered a pizza split half and half with spicy chicken and the isabelle, the risotto and another pasta - my friend also had the mushroom soup which was the highlight of the evening.
Everything else was - decent but not exceptional. Honestly, Uppercrust does better pizza and as for the pasta and risotto, it was just average.

Between the service and the quality of the food, I doubt I would be returning to this establishment.

The space is rather small and difficult to accommodate large groups. Nine of us were cramped into a corner and that was pushing the limits.

However, Figs would be a good place to go with a smaller group who wants to enjoy a nice meal.

They are known for their pizza and with good reasons. The pizza was delicious and the portion size was large. Make sure to do half toppings so you can try an assortment of different flavors and combinations.

The thin crust was crunchy and delicious without being too greasy.

I recommend getting the toppings- "Red Sox" and "Roasted Pulled Chicken". The Red Sox was hearty and savory with ingredients that really complemented each other very well. My personal favorite was the Roasted Pulled Chicken which wasn't salty but instead, well-seasoned. I liked how the chicken was paired with slithers of scallion which made the pizza taste fresh and balanced out the flavors.

We also ordered the Fig & Proscuitto. If you don't like mixing sweet with salty, this is probably not the dish for you. My friends found that the sweetness was overpowering. I think the balsamic jam on the fig was reduced too much, making it fairly sweet. My one criticism with the dish was that they layered on large sheets of prosciutto. I would have liked the prosciutto to be sliced and evenly distributed, allowing me to experience both flavors in each bite.

In all, Fig offered a delicious and savory selection. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to my friends :)

Oh and the White chocolate bread pudding was mm..mmmmm yummy :)

You might have read in some of my other reviews that pizza was one of my least favorite foods... that was, until my date with Mr. Figs. Because he wasn't expecting me (I hadn't called ahead...), he was not quite ready for me when I arrived for our "date." He actually had a whole line-up of female and male enthusiasts waiting to dine with him! Luckily, within about 10 minutes, he invited me to a cozy table.

At first I was overwhelmed by his extensive and delicious menu. Luckily, my wing-man and wing-woman were there to help me tackle some tough decisions. We started with the mango bellini which was yummy and served in an awesome champagne glass missing the stem. At the same time, the phenomenal bread arrived complete with olive dipping sauce to-die-for. Then, we sucked on the amazing mussels and nibbled a greek salad. Finally, the forplay was over and it was time for the big event. For a super-reasonable $18, we enjoyed an amazing pizza that could have easily served four people. We chose 1/2 Red Sox and 1/2 Eggplant. I cannot describe each 1/2 in all of its glory but can brag that the Red Sox included some of the most delicious veggies I have ever sampled and the eggplant was fried to perfection. On both halves, the crust was thin and absolutely perfect!

I wish I lived on the other coast to visit Mr. Figs more often! Or, Figgy, maybe you could venture out West sometime?!

I didn't even have pizza here last night but I was fascinated watching the chef make the pizzas. He made pizza and then put salad on top of it. Another pizza was topped with a pile of fried calamari. It seems the pizza here really acts like a plate or a bowl - something to hold all of the toppings. Every pizza I saw was gorgeous - true works of art.

I know, I know, then why didn't I try one?  Well, they're huge and my friend & I were not that hungry. Okay well, I actually was hungry but I was also deathly afraid of what I might do to a pizza that size.

So, we shared mussels instead, and a salad. The mussels were delicious. Plump, juicy in a spicy fra diavlo type of base (not really broth, much thicker). And the watermelon salad was the perfect dish to pair with the spice of the mussels. It had Arugula, pistachios and large chunks of ice cold watermelon. I wasn't crazy about the creamy dressing that pooled at the bottom though.

Great wine list and a warm & cozy bar seating. Great service too but not from our bartender (she was in "la-la land" as my mom would say). The hostess did all the work in the place last night.  She was busting her butt. I was tired just watching her.

It was actually a perfect night. The only thing that may have made it better would have been watching snowflakes falling down onto Charles Street. I actually hate the cold but being in here just made it seem like it should be snowing. I can't explain it. Go there and you'll see what I mean.

Figs is one of those places where I've always really enjoyed myself but never been overly impressed by the food. It's a cozy spot encased in red brick that houses a lively crowd on most nights (always reserve). I think that despite the small size of the spot I actually prefer coming here with a bigger group - for a one-on-one scenario like a date you'd probably find the place too loud and crammed.

Their flatbread-style pizza is decent don't get me wrong, but for my tastes I think they rate about average compared to other places around like Cambridge One and Upper Crust. They have creative offerings like their flagship fig and prosciutto pizza, and the Red Sox (caramelized onions, sausage, red peppers and mustard aioli), but despite the grand ingredients the flavor for me has often been flat and the pizza too dry.

For most the food will pass and you'll have a good time here - I just think of Figs as more a mixed bag when it come to the cooking. If you are looking for a cool spot to bring your entourage then they might make your list, but if you are looking for some of the best pizza around I'd turn you elsewhere.

I'm going to give this place 5 stars just because I want their review to go up a tad.

Where else...tell me!...where else in BH can you eat for a 20?  Had the fig and proscuitto, and the mushroom pizza.  I couldn't find any flaws culinarily speaking and the mushroom pizza had a nice subtle aroma of truffle oil.

The only thing that I thought was weird is that you're given bread before eating bread.  Also, you can get breaded squid on top of bread too.  If jesus's flesh was bread, then you'd be eating his entire left leg.

After a sunny morning of walking around Beacon Hill with my mom, we stumbled upon Figs.

Their lighter salad fare was exactly what we had in mind for lunch, and it also proved to be absolutely delicious. After devouring the amazingly good bread & olives/olive oil dipping sauce, our salads--- watermelon and feta with arugula and pistachios for me, a "boston bibb" salad for my mom--- were just lovely and the right portions for a light lunch.

It's a cozy spot that I will certainly visit again due to the wonderful looking pizzas that the diners next to us ordered.

now i know why Figs is always full and diners always happy looking.  the crispy asparagus on a bed of arugula+aioli was a winner;  the spaghettini in red sauce & tuscan meatballs  herby delicious. but the calamari should be renamed fried bread crumbs... where's the squid??

no pb. our most excellent server was happy to take it back and i replaced it with a zesty ceasar salad.  will  return for the delicious looking pizza's. oh, try to score a table at the front of the room, window side 'cuz  space quite narrow and the back a bit cramped.   despite the crowds at peak dinner time, wait was short, and service  friendly-efficient.

Like Kristina B., I also came here before seeing the Sex and the City movie at Loew's Boston Common -- Small world! I thought the movie was better than the food (I laughed, I cried, but I also looked at my watch)...however, I would definitely come back to Figs for a gourmet pizza experience. It's up there with Cambridge 1 and Emma's on the list for souped-up-thin-crust-pizza-worth-your-while-and-do llars.

We got there at 6:15 on a Friday and it was nearly empty so they didn't even ask what name I made my reservation under. Great. My friend and I did a 1/2 fig, 1/2 pulled chicken pizza. If you go, definitely try the fig and skip the chicken, which was nowhere near as special or tasty. Our server dropped two pieces of our pizza while bringing it over to us (those upside-down cookie sheets have no lip on the edge) and so they generously made us a whole 'nother pizza. Too bad it was the pulled chicken slices that fell...but hey, I ain't gonna turn down free pizza. I got a lunch out of the leftovers.

Kinda ironic that the to-go bag has Todd English's quote, "Never trust a round pizza" and my extra pizza that was inside was round.

I will never eat here again.  Read on for the full story.

The wait on a Thursday evening wasn't bad - the longest part was simply being acknowledged by the host.  Sat down with a couple Peronis and the roasted pear salad.  The pears were yummy and sweet but the mixed greens were bulky and awkward and required brisk slicing and dicing - an effort welcomed with thick cuts of meat but not salad.  The crispy calamari pizza was tackled better with fork and knife and the portabello mushroom pizza, while simpler, delighted with the sweet sting of garlic and caramelized onions.  The pizza was good, but honestly, Upper Crust takeout down the street is better and cheaper.

Here's the turning point.  I was masticating calamari when suddenly I bit down on something hard and sharp that just didn't seem right.  Squid don't have shells, right?  From my mouth I plucked a deep fried piece of shredded plastic.  Revolted by the idea of recyclables in my food and worried that this calamity might have affected others' dishes, I alerted the waitress.  She informed me that this has NEVER happened, that the chef will henceforth personally look over everything leaving the kitchen and that the pizza will of course be stricken form the bill.

I'm sure that Figs didn't intend to poison me physically or emotionally with their trash, but whether real or imagined, I left  with some digestive discomfort.  It will take a personal invitation from Hot Toddy himself before I return to Figs or any restaurant staffed by the "Todd Squad."

I want give this place three stars, but I just can't find a reason for it.
Anyway I'll give you my advice first.
1. Don't dine in, order the takeout.
2. If you're ordering Beacon Hill pizza take out, just call up the Upper Crust. They even deliver and the crust is tastier.

The only time that I can imagine anyone choosing Figs over Upper Crust would be if that person valued presentation over flavor.

I walked in hopeful, ready to enjoy a creative and well-made pizza. I was willing to wait a little while; it would be nice to enjoy the beautiful night. However, could I determine how long the wait would be? NO, because the host was absent for a minimum of 10 minutes. Can you ask the guy behind the bar, right beside the door, how long the wait will be? NO, that's the host's job. When the host arrived, did he ask for a name and a party size? No. That's your job. Get on the list if you can. Anyway, the normal thing a host says after taking your name and party size is "It will be a ___ minute wait." Again, the host failed. Luckily, not a long wait and we are seated. Normally, a host brings you menus when he seats you. The host failed again.

The only person on point here was the waitress and she still forgot to bring over the last beer that was ordered. However, she did do a wonderful job of handling the most appalling part of the night. . .

We ordered a 1/2 calamari, 1/2 portobello mushroom pizza. It was pretty. I love squid no matter how it's cooked, so it's a little chewy (not rubber-chewy though), but I can enjoy chewy squid. The portobello mushroom pizza had a nice garlic and olive oil flavor. The crust is thin and bland. The real problem was that there was a strip of plastic fried up in the squid legs. Battered and fried, it blended in so well. GROSS! Anyway, they say that never happens and I'm sure it's not the norm, but... how can you keep enjoying a pizza after you found trash in it?

Anyway, they handled the situation as well as any restaurant can, but I doubt I can go back there. Especially since Upper Crust is just a few steps away.

The manager (female) is fantastic.  Great sense of humor, charming, and a pleasure to deal with.  Two of the five stars are just for her.

Great pizzas and salad.  Eggplant pizza is great, proscuitto and fig is incredible, grilled pear salad woohoo!  Seriously though, great food.  The manager (mentioned above) gave us a complimentary white chocolate bread pudding.  Holy moly, really great.

Figs makes good pizza, don't get me wrong. I just don't understand why the only onions you can get on your pizza are fucking caramelized.

I despise caramelized onions, but I love onions on pizza. Oh, the horror of the Figs menu! Figs is the hell of one thousand caramelized onions!

That fact loses Figs a star, along with the fact that Figs is a chain that couldn't keep a location alive in Wellesley. That loses them another star.

(NONCARAMELIZED) ONIONS!

On a sunday afternoon, after doing 10 laps at the pool I was famished! I walked in to Figs around 2 ish, they said the only place they had was the bar to seat two people. There were plenty of empty tables, but the waitress said that those were reserved! Did I mention this was 2 o clock on a  sunday?? While I was waiting for my b/f, at the bar. The waitress said, that they had a cancellation and we could get a table? Seriously, i dont understand the secrets of reservations at a pizza place, no matter how fancy?
The glass and the silverware on the table was super dirty we asked for new ones. They promptly replaced those. The music was awesome.  We ordered a shrmp pizza which was quite nice, thin crust very little cheese with a glass of pinot noir. Uneventful and nice, just like a sunday late afternoon lunch should be!

The best meal we had in Boston was here!  I was glad I found out about being able to make reservations, as when we arrived at 7pm, there was a line up on the sidewalk of people waiting to dine.  With no waiting, our table was ready.

We started with the Rhode Island Calamari which was fantastic!  I can seriously say this is the best calamari appetizer I've ever had.  Delicious with the peppers and the lemon aioli.

We split a pizza, my son had 4 cheese and  I had the fig/procuitto.  My son loved his, ate his whole half.  I managed 2 pieces.  Can't say I really liked the figs, but it was interesting.  I saved the last two pieces for breakfast before our day tour and I could only manage to eat one piece.  These pizzas are huge!!!

Bill with tip was $60!  It was less than we paid for lunch at Ned Devine's at Quincy Market that day, and 100% better food!  I had a couple of glasses of wine too.  The restaurant was surprisingly small!  Service was great.  We absolutely loved our dinner here.

This place is very cute, very small and very good.  At first I thought the pizzas were hideously priced at $15-19 each until we realised they serve two, at which point they become a total bargain!  They were everything a pizza should be - thin and crispy, delicious toppings and delicious base as well.

As an added bonus the couple on the table next to us were having a loud (and interesting) conversation  - two ex f*ck buddies, the girl trying to get the guy interested into starting things up again. Even her promise of remote control vibrating underwear couldn't lure him in. Hilarious!

I took off a star for the sole reason that I got a little too acquainted with the table to the left and right of me.  We were bumping elbows the entire time - drooling over the other's meals  and by the end we were having conversation all together.

On the upside, since they squish all the tables together there are more tables, hence less of a wait.  Which is fine by me, because that means I got to my thin crust flat bread pizza, with spicy chicken sausage and caramelized onions, that much faster.

If you're a party of two and you haven't just ran the marathon - just get one pizza to share.  That will be plenty!  And if one of you likes spice and the other likes plain ol' cheese, then they are more than happy to make it half & half.

For $17 bucks + wine, that's a tasty meal in a super cute area.  Great for dates or a catch-up dinner with friends.

For a pizza place, this restaurant seriously lacks garlic. While I thoroughly enjoyed my meal from the moist foccacia, dipping oil and olives to the asparagus frites and Biano thin crust, my boyfriend was displeased. He's a fan of acidic tomato sauce and Figs' is mild but it was the prevalence of sweet onions on everything that justified his "meh."

We found the service to be helpful and kind; they managed to squeeze us in on a Saturday night and in trying to accommodate a 5 top asked us to move tables, comping our pizza! Very unnecessary but nice nonetheless. Similar to Cambridge 1 without the modern decor, but homey and comfortable.

One of my favorite places in town, but danger!  It can fill up quickly and you'll end up waiting if you don't time it right.  The service can sometimes be a little slow, but the bartender sometimes ends up serving so you can't blame them and the staff is always friendly and fun.  I love that you can pick four different kinds for one pizza and a pizza is big enough to even share between three.  And let me tell you...their pizza is to die for.  They also make their own bread!  There are some lovely wines, my favorite being a $28 prosecco.  It just has a cozy atmosphere for dinner or a fun lunch place.  It all ends up being $20 a person - not bad for a little slice of heaven.

Another Todd English achievement.  This place is fantastic.  Just thinking about it now, makes me want to dash over for some grub.

The other reviews do a great job of summing it all up, but this is my two cents:

Food-the pizza was served on an upside down baking sheet and dripping off the side like the pizza in All Dogs Go to Heaven.  It was insane.  Honestly a really great gourmet pizza, and every time I go here, I am not disappointed with my selection.  The salads were fresh and crispy as well, and when accompanied by half a pizza(they are massive) it's a perfect meal.

Decor - A very VERY small space.  Thin and small.  If this place gets busy, I'd imagine you would have a very difficult time getting a seat.  Tiny tables where you have to put your butt on someone elses plate, or take out their wine glasses with your rack in order to get situated.  So, hopefully you are OK with getting to know your neighbor.  Dimly lit and candles makes this a good time for a Party of 2.  But if you want Lacey Chabert and co. to roll up, you might want to choose a different locale.

Price-Fair pricing, especially for such a nice meal, which is good when you want to impress, but don't want to break the bank.

Service- Some people have said the service was bad, but I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff, and even made sure the salad came out quickly so we wouldn't starve.

This review really doesn't do the place justice because nothing quite captures my yearning for Figs, and now I'm stuck at work. Like a drooling emoticon.

Please Todd English please go away. Way, way over priced with a waitress that had a tude (like Todd)  Can I have more ice tea? More? More? More? ...so she charged me for 5 ice teas!!!! I asked why didn't she tell me each one was extra , unlike every other place in the world, she just gave me a "whatever" look.
Please Figs...go away.
