Q:
What should I wear when eating here?
A:
It is a nice restaurant but it is a mix of what people wear. I have gone in slacks and I've worn jeans. My husband only wears jeans but he puts on a nice shirt.

Excellent food and service. Great happy hour prices. Love the outside bar in the summer, upstairs bar is always nice.

Service: attentive. the service was very nice and came by often. It was nice that they provided suggestions for the autumn menu.
Food:
Local Burrata - Good. Creamy and wonderful. I would go back and ask for more pesto to go with the dish. The fried mushroom ball was bit greasy.
Squash Ravioli - Pass. The ravioli was wonderful but the sauce and shaved brussels sprouts was too overwhelming. The richness of the sauce and the stringy-ness of the sprouts took away from the experience of the ravioli.
Braised Short Ribs - Best item of the night! The short ribs was so tender and the yams were so sweet! it had nice balance and great flavor.
On to my next adventure...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 12, 2023
Came to have our anniversary dinner after eating take-out from the bar and happy hour menus multiple times. Favorites include truffle fries and chickpea fritters! Good ambiance with candle and rose petals for our table, a nice touch by the staff. The dessert was also very sweet of them~
Of the items we ordered, my favorite still remains the truffle fries! Best truffle fries I've ever had and I've had a lot. The other dishes were good, but weren't as impressive or addicting. So for the price, I would just order the truffle fries again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 2, 2023
I do love Fifth Season for its unconventional menu. A bit pricey, sure. But as per the restaurant's name, you can come by any season and try something completely new!
This week, we ended up stopping by for restaurant week. I chose the chicken strudel, vegetable stuffed polenta and almond cake for dessert. Service was quick and friendly despite the rush. And overall, the food was quite tasty.
The strudel was delightfully crisp with a tender interior. The polenta was robust and hearty and the cake was the perfect finish. A bit of crisp on the outside but nice and fluffy on the inside. With that being said, the only flaw I could identify was the zoodles that came along with our entrees were very salty. But, that really could be chalked up to restaurant week antics.
Overall, would definitely recommend! Maybe pass on restaurant week but definitely anytime during the year if you're a locavore looking for a special night out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2022
This year would be the second year I've come to Fifth Season for my birthday celebration. The place didn't disappoint once again. Sunset views were great and the food and service enjoyable once again.
Plus, the place had potato leek soup in the summer. This is a rarity - by far my favorite soup. Plus canned wine. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes or ambiance. The dessert is to die for also. I will be returning here next year for an annual celebration.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Allister M.Rochester, NY0832Dec 22, 2023
I love Fifth Season. It's a bit pricey, but as a treat once in a while, it's great! The food is good, drinks are okay. The menu is always fresh. I brought my grandma here for Christmas last year and she loved it. I recommend it for a nice night out by the water.

We were invited to a party at this restaurant and we were given a nice choice . We had the fillet w/ bernaise sauce . The side was a very nice but different potato side.
I think will visit this restaurant and order from their regular restaurant menuHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan D.Commack, NY1142Feb 26, 2024
My wife and I visited for a date night and were not disappointed. The service was present but not overbearing. The atmosphere was great, and, important to me, the tables were not jammed into the restaurant. There was plenty of space, and you didn't feel like you were in a sardine can. And, finally, the food. The food was amazing. We are very excited to come back in the spring when the menu changes - not because what we had was bad, but we're excited to see what changes! Well done!

Didn't know what to expect - but the place is stunning! Cute and low light decor - very chic - great for a date night and special occasion. Took the guests jackets at entry if they wanted to leave it there. Had a large party outing and had an unexpected extra guest and they accommodated with no problems. The table had an assortment of entrees and drinks. I personally had the braised ribs which was great. A person in our group had a severe allergy to some food products and they were more than accommodating. The group ordered some shared desserts as well - which were all great. Overall great staff and good food. The bill was pretty decent - 75$ pre-tip. If you break it down, 30 for entree, 10 for dessert, and about 12 dollars per drink - you'll see it's actually quite reasonable!

Great meal!! Farm to table with some great choices. The local burrata was a great start to the meal. I opted for the Duck and was not let down. My wife had the sea bass and it was superb. Staff was great and accommodating. FYI - New York or this area now allows the restaurants to charge back for credit card use so hit an ATM first. Will be back for sure!
