I seem to find my car drives itself here when I'm headed up to Santa Rosa to visit friends. Strange... but always tasty!

I love their deli - FANTASTIC sandwich options made while you wait. My usual is the turkey-cranberry on ciabatta. Soooo good. They also have a great selection of unusual sodas and vegan cookies which I like, even though I'm clearly not vegan! The peanut butter is to die for.

They also seem to be BBQing in the parking lot pretty frequently and man does it smell good. If only I could double the size of my stomach so I could get my fave sammy and sample the BBQ... will have to work on that.

Love that this is a locally owned grocery, it's convenient too. That being said prices are a bit high and items are often out of stock, plus some meat I have purchased was starting to turn,

I was listening to a forum on NPR this morning about independent bookstores, and I was surprised by my neutrality. There are a few truly wonderful independents, but honestly, most of the time, I don't find them that useful. I usually hear about books from friends, or in reviews, or online in the first place, not from my local bookseller.

But I hate to think of our world being taken over by chains...so I got to thinking. Why is it that I'll defend used bookstores to the death, but just can't get worked up about a new bookstore going out of business? I realized the answer standing in the produce aisle at Fiesta Market: used books are like peaches. There are too many variations, too much subtlety in the choice.

That's why it behooves us to support places like Fiesta, newly remodeled and full of great, local products. The produce is beautiful and fresh, they have an amazing selection of cheeses, the deli is great (although it can be pretty slow at lunch) and everyone's friendly. It IS important to support local businesses, or you'll end up with moldy, pre-packaged nectarines at Trader Joe's, or even worse, hard, will-never-ripen ones from FreshDirect.

I was introduced to Fiesta few years back when my boyfriend, who worked off the 116 at Iron Horse, recommended I stop in to buy us lunch. It's been regular stop ever since with friends on the wine trail.

It is full of great local and organic/natural products. The produce and cheese sections are great as is the natural beauty/bath products section.

The deli makes decent sandwiches (although I agree with Arwen O., that they can be slow behind the counter when it's busy), the soups are delicious! I recently had the tomato bisque with some of the BBQ ribs/tri-tip from the grill outside. Excellent!

I also love that they carry a vast array of items from local producers such as bread from Bennett Valley Bread & Bakery (I love the kalamata olive, sun-dried tomato, garlic feta rustic bread), and treats from Gianna's Artisan Baking Company ( l love the peach rugalach).

The staff is always super helpful and really nice.

I love it!  Prices are a little too high but then again, it's an independent store.  It's not Costco, it's not Safeway.  They have my delicious Kombucha, organic produce, wonderful cheese & deli section, artisan breads & sushi.  Lots of yummy bath salts and Burt's Bees.  Ooh!  And magazines of all sorts, not just Yoga Monthly or whatever.

I know they have to do it, but their prices on basics like TP and such are a little high...  again.. it's not Costco.

So fun, I love to go there!

I stumbled in today and rubbed my eyes, checked my red sparklies and made sure I wasn't swept into a Whole Foods by a Kansas tornedo.  But, luckily I wasn't...

This place looks very much like a Whole Foods, except MUCH better than the one I went into earlier today.  I picked up some very soft sour dough rolls, some local cracker flat bread and some Corn Souffle.  All was excellent.  They had a fancy cheese section that does not come second to Whole Foods at all.  The bakery was much much better than anyone would expect in such a little market.  They also had a large deli section with hot and cold foods, a sushi counter and a nice wine selection.

Rumor has it that there is an amazing BBQ here every Friday and Saturday.  I may go back tomorrow and check that out!

While tasting wines on a recent trip to the area south of Healdsburg, I stumbled into Fiesta Market in search of some tannin-free nourishment. Though independently-owned, the recently-remodeled market has the upscale feel of a Whole Foods or Andronico's  with a terrific selection of foods to match. A well-stocked deli has everything you need to stock up for a picnic in the wineries to the north.

I had perfectly toasted turkey and havarti panini. An array of salads were available, fresh fruits were wonderful, and the cheese aisle offered abundant selections. The market also offered barbequed and roasted meats, good selections of lesser-known wines and soda, bins filled with olives, and many other temptations.

There wasn't much of an area in which to enjoy my haul, but the less-visited wineries off of highways 12 and 116 offered plenty of scenic spots to enjoy my lunch.

Not too far from the 101, Fiesta Market is a great place to begin, interrupt, or finish a trip to Sonoma.

I just gave Fircrest 'best grocery store in Sebastopol' but Fiesta is great, too, for so many reasons. It's locally owned, they have great-smelling barbeque outside when in season, they have wonderful selection, they have huge, wide, clean aisles, plenty of organic things (enough for me, anyway) and the checkout clerks are always friendly (and if you shop often enough you can start calling each other by name). Also, they cook up some awesome dishes in the deli section (I remember being particularly fond of the stuffed sole).

Had a great weekend in Guerneville for Labor Day weekend. On the way up we stopped at Fiesta Market to stock up. Driving from SF, taking Highway 116 through Sebastopol helped bypass Santa Rosa traffic. And, it was a pretty drive. Fiesta Market was similar to a Mollie Stones, kind of like a Mom and Pop version of Whole Foods, we loved it. Great pricing and great selection of produce, meat, cheese, everything we needed.

This place always has pretty much everything I am looking for (and great meat/fish) but I can't justify shopping there very often with Andy's just down the street for a fraction of the price on most items.

The tri tip on the weekend in the summer is great.  They also can offer some excellent prices on their weekly sales however everything else is  somewhat pricey. Excellent take out selection from salads and sandwiches to hot foods. Nice selection of cheese and wine.  It's a wonderful all around store.

for the Studabaker cheese cakes alone! not to mention the ever tempting BBQ out in front. or the great selection of produce, meats, baked goods, and deli. and that it succeeds in having so much product while not feeling like a cavernous, run of the mill, mega market.

better than Whole Foods by a long shot, but still could use improvement. decent selection and service across the store, but meat department needs an overhaul and deli is too small for the number of customers it serves. produce is a bit pricey for the quality. good selection of fancy groceries. meager bulk section. good selection of breads and baked goods. decent weekend grill. very good cheese selection. nice people.
