We always shied away from this place due to low ratings but damn we give it 5 stars from the fast friendly service to the excellent food with the best damn red chile this side of Santa Fe along with awesome crispy rellenos, olla beans, rice and an excellent margarita. Check it out

This place wasn't crowded on a Tuesday night so we were sold! The decor is cozy, the place seemed clean. The food was good. The chips were crispy and delicious but the salsa was a bit too spicy for our table. It was fresh though!! We ordered the chicken enchiladas and the vegetarian Spinach enchiladas which also had mushrooms and cottage cheese...? According to the menu. They were good too! Both entrees came with beans and rice, and a fresh pico type side which was better with the chips for us!!! The only thing was, the wait staff didn't check on us once, or ask how anything was. Weird. Even borderline rude. One guy came and asked "all done with everything?"I asked for more chips and he told me they charge for the second basket and I said that was fine. But everything tasted good so we'd probably return.

Food is overpriced for its quality and taste. Don't recommend the pink water, or should I say lemonade. Service is okay, some staff does not understand english. Ambiance is ok.

How this place gets voted 'best of summit county' I'll never understand.
The overpriced food is ok at best. I've had good, bad and terrible service. But never great.
And if I'm sitting there for hours drinking cheap beer and devouring chips and salsa, I get why they'd charge for more chips. But if I'm sitting with a party of 2-4 people ordering premium margaritas, appetizers and entrees and you want to money grab for another basket of chips? That's pretty cheap imo.
There are several businesses in Summit County that only survive because they are in a resort community. This is one of them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gayline C.Huntington Beach, CA9810Nov 10, 2023
The food is not great Mexican. The service is sub par. And don't dare ask to watch a game on one of their many TV's. It was too much effort to change the channel. I'm not Mexican and I can make way better tacos than the slop they serve. Don't waste your time. Go to Tacos and Tequila in Dillon to get real Mexican authentic food.

This place is absolute trash. Service is terrible, drinks watered down, the only give you 1 basket of chips per table, they only do 1 check per table. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Food is mid bruh. Poor representation of a tourist destination. Absolutely taking advantage of their customers.

Really liked this place. The portions are pretty fun good and the taste of all the food was good as well. Service was friendly, ambience was nice, not much to dislike here.

Okay, I lived in San Diego for over 30 years and eat Mexican food in some form more than most people living in Mexico City. I just returned from Puerto Vallarta a week ago. I will go on record as saying this might be the worst Mexican food restaurant I've ever experienced at every level. Our server was polite but too 15 minutes to contact us. Food took almost 45 minutes and drinks were never re-filled. The cheese enchiladas were the worst I've ever had...mostly sauce related. My taco shell may have come out of a store bought package. Oh...and the chips and salsa were inedible!!! It's pretty bad when the rice & beans were the highlight. I know I'm piling on but yeah, it was that bad.
I had already submitted this review when we got our bill. We had 2 margaritas and a Dr Pepper but they added a Coke and had FIVE margaritas on the bill....so nearly $40 over!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa U.CO, CO02Nov 4, 2023
The food was good.
Service not even close. Sad discovery a 15% tip is mandated for parties less then 6 people because of the guaranteed tip service suffers because they know regardless of how they treat you they will still get a tip. Oh did I mention they also charge you for a take out box. I would give 1/4 of a star if it allowed me to.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Davina S.Denver, CO1042145Jan 16, 2023
This place has some of the best micheladas I've ever had! Me and my man always stop by after skiing or when we stay in keystone. They definitely are underrated! I think everything is great especially the food! Definitely give it a shot! Nom nom
