I'm going to keep it short and sweet: 2 for 1 drinks!
The special ends around midnight, 12:30PM or so, be there on time to get your specials!
Of course the problem with this is that sometimes the drinks may not be as strong as we'd like them to be so I suggest you either order the strongest drinks and just nurse those babies or go upstairs, there is one bartender that makes the drinks ridiculously strong! -

Apparently the ban on hats at Fiesta Cantina in Weho isn't keeping the hood rats
out.
Last night, Tuesday 2/7, around 11 PM two very intoxicated patrons of Fiesta
Cantina, described as Hispanic males, exited the bar and threw a margarita at
Joe Podojil, who was passing on the sidewalk talking to his friend Jake.
Startled, Joe exclaimed that he was upset because his iPhone was in his pocket
and he was afraid it may have been damaged by the liquid. An argument ensued and
Joe took his phone out of his pocket to call the police.
At that moment two additional Hispanic males, friends of the original attackers,
rushed out of the bar and the four commenced a brutal attack lasting three or
four minutes, punching, kicking, and pummeling Joe to the ground. Outnumbered,
Joe covered his head with his arms and endured the beating.
During this time Joe's friend Jake attempted to pull the attackers off of Joe,
and he took a few punches as well. All the while witnesses reported that the
security crew in front of Fiesta Cantina were watching and laughing, and did
nothing to stop the attack which originated from their bar. Meanwhile other
concerned bar patrons were calling 911.
The beating stopped and the attackers ran toward Rage. Joe and Jake followed
just as a Sheriff's patrol car approached and they quickly informed the deputy
of the situation. The deputy called backup and attempted to apprehend the
suspects, who fought back. All four suspects were arrested and charged and
remain in jail pending bail. -

Returning back to Fiesta after 3 years overseas was probably the biggest mistake on our trip to LA.
Me and my good group of friends got lots of history and many memories in this place, which made our visit even more painful. Fiesta Cantina was THE place to start our night, as well as finishing it for many years and we spent thousand of dollars in Fiesta Cantina throughout the years and were about to spend more but our plans were cut short:
Few nights ago, on our only night in LA, me and a group of my out of state friends went back and visited the only place we actually ever cared about...
Got through the doorman, place was dead, approached the bar and ordered a shot of Patron.
Got my shot, paid and walked back to the outside patio while my friends are in the restroom.
I went ahead and lighted a cigarette while sipping on my shot of patron and waiting for my friends...
Suddenly, I feel a strong SHOVE on my back and somebody's hand on my neck!
Next thing I know, it was the waiter, which started screaming at me.
Apparently, costumers are no longer allowed smocking in the open air outside patio of Fiesta Cantina.
Which I got no problem with - Have you heard about manners?!! How about not touching your bloody costumers??!
I AM NOT FROM LA, DO NOT ASSUME I KNOW ALL YOUR NEW RULES AND DON'T YOU DARE SCREAMING OR TOUCHING ME!
So the waiter, keeps on shouting at me to get the hell out and smoke on the street, which at that point I did not have a problem with.
So I'm walking toward the exit with my shot of patron in one hand and a cigarette in the other hand while trying to finish one of them first.
Suddenly, the rude doorman start screaming at me as if we are in a military boot camp, to throw my cigarette away, then to throw my drink away. With all of the screaming I got all overwhelmed and confused.
Clearly, I can not smoke in the patio, but I can not drink on the street. The crew was SO mean, so loud and so offensive, that I could not even think straight and understand what they all want from me. It looked almost like an ambush.
I ended up getting rid of both the cigarette and throwing the drink in the trash. I remember also trying to explain politely to the rude doorman that I am not from LA and that previously smoking was always permitted at the outside patio, hence the reason I light a cig... The doorman's reply was: "I DON'T GIVE A SH*T!!!!".
I stormed out of your hell hole and swear do not ever come back, they managed to kill our memories and nostalgia as well as kill our night out.
My friends left that place right after I did and would never dare to come back either.
I keep wondering how stupid, (or mean) one can be to treat their costumers in such aggressive and shallow manner.
Fiesta - I crossed your name from my places to visit, recommend or even remember, and so as my friends. Not only that, we would share this story everywhere online, Google & Yelp and with anybody who'd care to listen. You can blame only yourself, the management and your imbecile crew.
Update: Went ahead and called my bank, disputed your charge for the drink as well as the tip - learn how to treat human beings!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Last time I had our Happy Hour there, people have a lot of good times and lots of drinking. It is like a Party Time and happy guys/girls having good energy over drinking, drinking. I enjoyed more the food, I was all for the Mexican Flavor and they have your regular good mexico way to your stomach!

Review from Liz O.
I must admit, this was my first time making a cameo on the gay strip of West LA. I've never really been a club kid nor was I the type of female who LOVED being surrounded by hot men who wanted nothing to do with her. I mean, caaaaamon! Single Liz would have definitely wanted at least one mojito and a wink thrown her way!
Fiesta Cantina is a Mexican bar/restaurant with all the bells and whistles of a beach front taco shack. This is the Gay Riviera in one of the busiest strips in LA.
I was there for a bachelor party - YES, bachelor party - and was excited to see what was in store at this Fiesta Cantina.
It was crowded and people seemed to be enjoying their taquitos and massive margaritas. I broke through the barriers and headed upstairs only to find a huge space with a bar and booth-stye seating. We were invited to nachos, chips and dips, taquitos, burritos and other appetizers. I also ordered a $16 BIG GULP Margarita that later proved to be a bad bad idea.
The servers were very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the privacy of the party, which featured lots of guests eager to party with two male strippers ready to swing their junk to anyone with a flashing green buck! I stayed clear from that action since the only male stripper in my life is my husband and he is free.
After the party, the upstairs was opened to the general public and like a tidal wave, the pretty boys and their hags consumed the entire place. It became hard to maneuver around and when our table was used as an empty glass station, we decided to bail.
Overall, I probably won't be back any time soon -- only because I can think of a million other Mexican bar/restaurants that are far better than this in terms of food and drink...and if the only thing that's missing is the hot men who are not into me, well...why even bother?! =) -
Review from Lin G.
As some of you know, there's nothing I enjoy more than happy hour in an outdoor patio, which is exactly what Fiesta Cantina provided. In addition to the outdoor goodness, Cantina also throws in awesome street view of Santa Monica Blvd in the heart of West Hollywood, prime people watching location. LOVE.
The walls are painted with live size murals of hot men in tight Euro speedos with their bulging packages barely contained. It's difficult not to be excited under such conditions.
We of course, missed the 4-8 happy hour by 2 minutes and end up paying full price for the big scorpion bowl size margaritas. While the the size was indeed impressive, it was mostly ice (socks stuffed into a speedo anyone?). And at $18-19 each, they were a bit pricey.
The food was pretty horrid. Someone ordered a taco dish and it didn't look great AND they charged $3.5 for a small cup of guacomole on the side. Pretty ridiculous. The chicken taquitos were dry and not tasty at all and came with some sort of Greek salad.
We stayed til 10:30pm at which time the Happy Hour kicked in again and we got 2 more margaritas (small ones) at $9 all together. That's a pretty good deal. The margaritas didn't taste that good though. I felt like i was drinking cyanide, or maybe after 2 scorpion sized margaritas, everything would taste like cyanide.
Bathroom was super weird. There was one just for men, which the door permanently propped open, displaying a toilet while hiding a sneaky little urinal inside. And another unisex one which people like to wait for. They were not the cleanest but then again, I can go anywhere. I kicked closed the door for the men's room with a laugh and a "rules are meant to be broken" comment to the staff and was ready to do my business when I noticed a guy using the urinal. AWKWARD! He tried to assure me to go ahead and pee anyway, citing that "rules are meant to be broken."
Music was really good. Lots of Mariah, Beyonce, Mya, etc. That's right, bring back the old school diva songs baby.
What was really annoying was the waiter kept on coming over to explain that he was on break, and that he was back, and then he was leaving. We don't care! Why should we close or keep open the tab based on your schedule? Handle that in the back with your coworkers. We will close the tab and leave when we feel like it.
One of the security guards kind of had a thing for me and followed me to the bathroom. I was there with a guy who, for once, I actually liked, and it was pretty awkward. He would come over and talk to a us a bit. Nothing too crazy but a bit weird. I would go back to try one of their all you can eat sliders or tacos or whatever deals, from 4 to 8 bitches! -

I am letting my friend review this one:
the only thing great about this place is the drink specials and the bartenders are friendly and have their game faces on.
but the servers (during the night shift) have horrible queeny attitudes and are not suited to be working in the restaurant business EVER!!
also their is apparently no smoking on the patio and hats with the LA Dodgers or Raiders logos are not permitted... are you serious???? -

Fiesta gone downhill officially.
Once the cheap, young, friendly neighborhood dive bar, it's become overrun by thugs and regulations.
I only still come here because there a couple bartenders who still give me deals, like the old days. But officially they're not supposed to.
Doubles will really be doubles here now. Two shots in one drink.
Management has gone authoritarian. No more hats, no more smoking (what, you couldn't bribe the city like Mickys and Rage did??), Cameras everywhere to record every bartender moves, credit card minimums...
Worst of all, the new bouncers are absolutely awful. In 2009, as late as 2010, the bouncers were super cool. Every last one of them. Now they resemble thugs of a fascist state. Mean, no mercy, abusive, and if you cross them, they'll beat the shit of you.
The well isn't Absolut anymore.. Absolut is call.
The upstairs is now only open on weekends. In the old days, the upstairs was open 5 days a week. Always a chill place to relax, less crowded, have a smoke..
Of course, they've closed the upstairs becuase business is downhill here.
The crowd is mostly now "out of towners" (aka suburbs or inner city) who are belligerant, loud, dangerous.... basically, Crips and Bloods who are gay.
Recently I've ordered food here and some of the wait staff is beyond awful. Impossible to reason with, don't bring any food, etc...
THere are still a couple waiters and bartenders who are relics from the old days and are amaazing. But I know they're unhappy too. This place is falling apart quick. Remember as recently as 2010 this place was always over capicity? Even on a tues or thurs or wed. Now they struggle to get people in on Saturday nights.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Review from Ray R.
During my annual trip to LA, I decided to get a couple of my homies together for a happy hour cause, you know, friends, food & feel-good foolishness go hand in hand. This spot was suggested by them as the venue because a) it was near their job and b) the drinks are cheapcheapcheap, and big, oh and cheap and cheap...oh and don't forget cheap. I mean $4 for the drink you see in the photo? Cmon son, life just doesn't get any better than that. If you say it does, I don't believe you & you need more people.
The food selections were absolutely great as well...and by that I mean, they do the job for filling your tummy for libation saturation purposes. There's a beautiful view out back as well as the scenic deck with water to look at but I prefer inside with all the TVs if you want to catch whatever game is playing. I remained at the bar the whole time so I cannot speak for service anywhere in the dining section. The bathrooms were a little untidy but that may speak for the HH traffic.
Either way, check it out! -

2 for 1 drinks and everyone here knows each other. Except for Kristin C. and me who came here last weekend and needed the assistance of some regulars in ordering drinks and maneuvering around. The place was packed on a Friday night (you couldn't walk around without running into people - literally and figuratively for the regulars) but we were told it wasn't that bad of a night when we were there. What.
I didn't drink that night but....I heard that if you order a drink and you don't have another person to drink your free (2 for 1) drink, you can order a double for the price of a single!!! Booze town city!!!! HOLLA!
This place is chill, the upstairs patio is nice (space heaters on a winter's day makes it a prime hang out location) and from where we were sitting I could smell food and people watch to my heart's content. I will be back to take advantage of the 2 for 1 drinks and hopefully be able to get around without a gay chaperone. -

West Hollywood, CA
Rude staff, rude bouncers, food does more harm than good - the only reason for the 3 stars is their happy hour is 2 for 1, one of the cheapest on the block, we get drunk here first then off to the real night.
Oh they do play the UFC fights sometimes - that is a plus. -

Another place that's probably known not for their food. Went for dinner with a group. Food's average but good portions. Not too crowded (as opposed to earlier when it's packed due to the 2 for 1 HH specials).
Service is subpar. We were upstairs and it was a pretty chilly night. When asked if we could have the heaters turned on, they simply said they were broken and didn't even offer to move some of the working ones closer to our table. Whatevers. -

Love this bar in Weho. Especially on Taco Tuesday's! You can enjoy endless tasty taco's :) The initial plate comes with a side of beans and rice. Get a margarita and you are SET!
The place is very noisy so its not the place to go for a first date or if you are looking forward to good conversation.
In the end, a great place for a fun stop. -

Inhumane!
Yes, it was Halloween, and I was drinking. And I tried to use the men's room because the line was shorter and I was about to explode. Does that mean I deserve to get kicked out after paying $15 to get in?
Even if the security guards felt I needed to be kicked out, I dont think anyone deserves to be kicked out of a club by being thrown out the back door and into an alley. The friggin security nazis refused to let me talk to my friends and let them know I was being thrown out. They also refused to escort me out through the front entrance after pleading with them not to leave me abandoned without my friends in some back alley.
They literally closed the door and left me outside. Thank God I didnt get mugged or attacked. The owners may want to go over procedures with their security before somebody gets hurt and then sues. Oh wait, I might just do that. -

My favorite words combined - 2 for 1 drinks.
The best friend and I went up to West Hollywood one Friday night for her co-worker's birthday and Fiesta Cantina was the first stop on our very fun, yet very long, night of bar hopping.
We got there at around 11 and sure enough, the place was starting to get super crowded. They have a drink special after 10:30 - 2 for 1 drinks. The best friend and I beat our friends there so we already started and lemme just say, they make them strong out in WeHo, which is TOTALLY worth it. I'm pretty sure the Henny and cokes we got were like $10 or something, so super cheap. Bartenders were super chill and soooooo hot. Just sayin'.
Anyways, this place has two floors and from what I can remember, two pretty decent sized bars on each floor. The atmosphere is super fun and the people who come here were absolutely wonderful. There was definitely a mixed crowed - old, young, straight, gay...no matter - everyone I encountered was super nice and so full of energy. Loved it!
One of the things that I didn't like was the huge ass line for the girls' restroom. It was REDICULOUS. Other than that, I had a wonderful time and I'm so glad we hit this place first on our bar hopping list. By the time we were leaving to hit up the next bar on our list, the place was PACKED. Like you could barely get through, packed. I guess it's a pretty popular place. Regardless, I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in WeHo again.Listed in: Places to Drinkkkkk, Places to go Dancing, Bars, WeHO, Gay Bars

Pretty much live here. 2 for 1 drinks are strong. Lighting is dim enough to hide how buzzed you are and music brings out your inner Dancing Queen.
Just make sure to use some of that Jedi mind power to will the urge to use the bathroom away. Only one stall for the ladies. -

gigantic margaritas, but not-so-good service and sticky sticky tables.

This place BLOWS.
Ate here with a couple of classmates during our break from the Design Center and it was the worst experience EVER!!
We ordered and waited almost 30MIN. for our food. That's insane!! We were the first ones there then people started trickling in and it seemed liked everyone was bored- waiting for their food to arrive.
Anyway, I ordered the fish tacos and they were just okay. . . and the rice tasted stale. I paid almost $15 for a shitty meal and shitty service. -

Happy Hour!
I love this place. Fun atmosphere great drinks and great price. We showed up around 4pm which is happy hour (4-8). I was ordering double Rum and cokes and dang were they YUMMO. The bartender was hot and nice. I have been to the Fiesta in San Diego but the one thing that I must say that fiesta La trumps SD is the upstairs Patio. I love it. Its open sunny. Enjoy friends drinks and the outdoors. -

2 for 1 drinks for happy hour is golden. We got there a little bit before 11 on a Friday night. Easily found parking in the residential area behind Santa Monica Blvd. No waiting in line to get in. And the best part? As soon as we walked in, a topless man approached us and asked if we wanted to order our margaritas from him since the bar was so crowded. Ok, loving the service already. Then he explained that there were like 8 or so different flavors. He recommended peach and watermelon so that's exactly what we got. aaaand yummmersss!
Anyway, I was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in 6 years there. It was crowded but not so much so that I couldn't catch up with my friend while standing around in the back. The atmosphere's really fun, drinks are good, and although I was only here for an hour, I have no complaints. -

I feel like I don't even need to write a review for this place, just tell you guys two things that matter: 2 for 1 drinks after 10:30, and hot bartenders. Need I say more?
I do? Well then if you're not a regular WeHo clubber and only come up during weekdays, then give this place a stop by on Tuesdays. As the name suggests, they do Taco Tuesdays and it's amaaaaaaaazingly cheap and delicious. Good food and drinks, if I have to say more to convince you to go then there might be something wrong with you =P
The only downside is how crowded crowded crowded CROWDED this place gets on a busy night, but busy means that you came to the right place, correct?Listed in: Gay Friday Night Adventures

I REALLY liked this place. The people here are soooo friendly and full of energy. I know this is classified as a "gay bar" and I myself am not gay but I really did enjoy my night here. The drinks are also really good. Try the 32oz. Blue Margarita!!
The only thing that is a problem is that it gets beyond packed. So the earlier you get there the better. -

Yes this is a gay bar and no I'm not gay. Regardless, I had fun here. I was here with a few friends as a pre-game bar for cheap drinks. Everybody is so damn nice in WeHo I don't get it! As long as you aren't homophobic, you'll have a good time here...until you move to your next location. It's no wonder my friend always comes here first.

Somehow I always end up here when barhopping in weho. It's usually super crowded on weekend nights, and I make my way upstairs for some space/air. Vibe is always fun, and the bartenders are nice! One the bartender upstairs hooked up my friends and I with a round of patron shots ;)

This is my favorite bar in WeHo to meet with friends for drink without dancing or really making a night of it. It can also be a good jumping off point for a longer evening.
The drinks are good, decently strong and very reasonably priced. Happy Hour from 10:30-12:30 is great because that is right when we're getting warmed up. One complaint that I do have is that they do not carry Redbull (REALLY?!). I have ordered food here before and was satisfied one time and disgusted another so I really can't evaluate on that level very well. It probably depends on who is in the kitchen.
Fiesta is usually full of attractive guys meeting up with friends and getting drunk before they go out. The noise level makes conversation easy and I enjoy being able to smoke on the front patio. They used to allow smoking on the upstairs patio (which is great for people watching, though I do sometimes get the urge to throw things.... check it out - u will too) but recently stopped, which makes me sad.
The bartenders and wait-staff are attractive and friendly (sometimes shirtless) and the security tends to be big and burly, but not mean. The bathrooms can be a bit tough to navigate as they are down a long hallway, there are only two of them and while taking care of business is easy for guys, I would hate to be a female trying to use the facilities here. -

I'm not exactly one of those gays who do the circuit and know the scene. But when I do indulge in some gay bar activities, this is definitely a stop. Normally we begin the night drinking here cause the drinks are cheaper. 2for1 is awesome!
My normal stops are always the same. Rage, Cantina, and then end the night at Abbey just because its always a lot chiller at the end of the night. I'm a creature of habit.
Parking is ridiculous, if you can find street parking take it, but if not just park down the street at the lot. -

You know Fiesta. It's that run-down shack with straw thrown about its roof and hideous pink gate inviting u to get wasted with their two for 1 drinks. That's about the only reason to visit this dump since consuming food their would be like auditioning for an episode of Fear Factor back in 2001. And speaking of 2001, the barstools they make u sit on appear to have come from at least 10 years before that. They are sticky lopsided rusted metal stumps that u use to support uself to avoid touching those sticky filthy scum ridden tables. Best to roll up in there with some disinfectant and extra napkins to avoid resting ur elbows on those rickety hunks of shit. Maybe they use them to slice their rotten lemons on, the stickiness would suggest so.
Also, if you happen to drop your phone on the floor like the many queens who frequent this dump, be sure to grab it quickly or the cockroach chillin on the wall by your now filthy shoes might take a walk on it. These things are almost like those cockroaches on Fear Factor, only dirtier. Avoid the "food" at all costs. I don't even think those illegals that work out back would even eat that mess.
Oh and try one of their pre-mixed "margaritas" which consist of 99 cent store margarita mix and a homeless person's tequila. Mmmmmm.
K bye. -

I've been going to this place since I was 19 (I borrowed friends IDs). I'm now 24! I'm definitely a regular. This is my SURE THING spot. I always know for SURE I'll have a great time. I am definitely a loyal patron.
