I really enjoyed my Tuesday evening at Fido's. Having never been outside of downtown Nashville (Ive only been here once before) I wanted to try out a new part of town. The neighborhood that Fido's is in seems to be full of an eclectic bunch of people. There were a lot of students (Vanderbilt, I assume) working on homework and groups of friends getting together for a quick cup.
I had a turkey and brie sandwich on focaccia with a bottled pomegranate cranberry rooibee red tea (rooibos is my favorite so this was a great treat!). The food was great and I savored every bit of the sandwich.
Plusses:
Free wi-fi
Quick service
Lots of seating
Good-looking menu
Breakfast served ALL day
Minuses:
Loud music
Drafty (i had to wear my coat because of the cold air. Middle of Oct and Rainy)
Pricey for a coffee shop (sandwich and bottled tea was about $12)
***I will go back!
Fido is my favorite coffee shop in Nashville. Their coffee is definitely the best. They use Bongo Java coffee, which is fair trade and organic, which makes me happy. Fido actually has surprisingly delicious food offerings. The homemade veggie burger is awesome, but a little spicy.
They also have $2 off coffee beans on Tuesdays, which I never seem to remember on Tuesdays, but is good to know.
The only drawback is the noise level. It can be hard to study, but then again sometimes it's best to have a TON of noise as opposed to just a little, so you can block it out easier. The crowd is an interesting mix of creative types, students, and professionals. They have pretty ample space at tables and outside, but at lunch time it can get totally filled up. The line is practically out the door on Sunday mornings, but they go pretty fast. Fortunately they give you a little buzzer while they make your coffee, so you can go sit down until it's ready.
We stopped at Fido on our way out of town and I'm so glad we did.
Excellent menu, delicious, healthy food and coffee and hey, you're named after my favorite animal--perfect!
I ordered the Village Burrito (spinach, feta, mushrooms, toms and scrabbled eggs in spinach tortilla w/ salsa and sour cream) and my boyfriend had the Hangover Bomb (cream cheese and veggie sausage in a bagel) and both were fantastic! Sure, I could have used more feta (I didn't have much in there :( ) but, couldn't we always have more cheese? Also had a great vanilla latter and OJ.
The place was super cute, very college-town friendly and I imagine I lived here, I be a frequenter of Fido.
Great Sunday brunch. A good place to people watch.
I've been to Fido four times and I've enjoyed it. It has a good atmosphere and, most importantly, they have good coffee. (I've tried their espresso and three different coffee blends.) The food also looks good, although I haven't tried it. And they're always hopping, but I've been able to find a spot to sit and talk and/or work. Just a really nice spot.
They do lose a star, however, because two of the four times I've been there, the carafes (both of them) have been out of coffee, which just seems way too high of an occurrence for, well, a coffee shop.
I really like the idea that it used to be a pet store and now it's a coffee shop. Not just a coffee shop but a great place to sit and drink and do work or just stare at the wall or meet up with friends.
The place is already in a great neighborhood-- one of the only like 2 streets that might be considered cute in nashville-- and the place is pretty large. It has a lot of seating area with lots of students working on laptops, lots of people just chillin. Apart from the great atmosphere was the fantastic drinks. The menu is really cute and has dog related drink names and specialties. Prices were very reasonable. They even sell cakes, muffins, etc. I saw some beer which was good to know as well. Along with the beer and cakes, they also sell Mountain Jim's ice cream which looked hilariously delish! One of the flavors i believe was Wild Cougar Crunch. Haha... Anyway, they had lots of regular coffee and tea drinks you'd find at any coffee shop but still a lot of specialty drinks too. My cousin ordered a dalmatian (i think that's what it's called) and he loved it-- it was all chocolatey and he added a shot of espresso). I ordered the Irish setter iced and I loved it-- it just had some irish cream in it. My other cousin ordered a mocha and loved it. My sister on the other hand ordered a chai latte but forgot to ask for soy milk. She received it and was was completely bummed that she forgot to ask. Instead of hearing her complain about her lactose intolerance for the rest of the day, we suggested she just go ask for a chai latte with soy milk. She hesitated and was too embarrassed to go so my cousin went for her and they were really sweet about it and just got her a new drink- chai latte with soy milk. That's great customer service!
The unfun part of the experience was really just the wait. We waited quite a long time for our drinks and it doesn't seem unusual there as they hand you a beeper to inform you that your drinks are ready (so it must be nothing new). I can only imagine they hand you a beeper because it takes such a long time to perfect your tasty beverages or because they don't like to shout out names because it's tacky to do so. Either way, it's worth the wait! If i lived in Nashville, I'd totally come back here.
Fido, what a nice dog you are; well trained and good-natured...
I stopped by Fido this weekend for a quick feeding and coffee fix.
The staff was very nice and cute too, typical of our experience in Nashville. We enjoyed a great latte and simple eggs with herbs. I should have asked for the strawberries too, as they looked delicious on ever other plate that pranced on by...
If I lived nearby, I would certainly make Fido a part of my morning, every day. When you add Fido and Coffee, I'd call it "Man's new best friend."
Great little neighborhood cafe. The internet flows strong and fast, like the coffee. The food is great. Their cakes cheer me up, and they are the purveyors of just about the only healthy breakfast you can get without cooking it yourself in this town. Great atmosphere (local art in constant rotation on the walls), great service, and good food and drinks.
On our way home from Bonnaroo and Fido provided just the lift we needed to make it all the way. Located near Vanderbilt on a happening stretch of 21st Ave, it has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Huevos Cubanos was recommended and outstanding. Great flavors and very clean. Also has meat and vegetarian options, so everyone should be happy. I would definitely come back.
Thought the no-sugar-added blueberry muffin was quite bland, but I suppose that's what happens when you go sugar free sometimes. Other than that, this meal was perfect.
Some people go to Fido to study, some to eat and others for coffee. I'm personally a fan of their breakfast. The line can get a little long on a Saturday morning but does not compare to the neighboring Pancake Pantry. After your order is placed it could take as long as 45 minutes to get your food but it is well worth it.
I'm currently working my way through the breakfast menu and am in love with several dishes. The bagel with banana and peanut butter is fantastic as are the veggie scramble (eggs with spinach, hash browns and salsa). I love how fresh their ingredients are and how light their meals can be. Although, if you're in the mood for grease and cheese they have that too.
The atmosphere, especially on a Saturday morning, can be a variety of people. There's what appears to be a group of cyclists that congregate, college students, parents with small children and the single scene. It's definitely an experience any time of day, but their breakfast is spectacular.
I will forever love this place for not kicking me out my first few weeks in town when I'd spend, literally, ALL day there. haha.
great food, good tea, friendly staff, cool vibe! (and free wifi ;)
Another hit from the creators of Bongo Java and I must say I enjoy this place a lot more than I initially thought I would. It took me awhile to visit here at first because it always seems to be so overly and annoyingly crowded and I don't generally care to hang out in coffee shops like that.
But oh Fido is WAY more than a coffee shop and I'm so so glad that I finally visited here. It was as I predicted unbelievably crowded the day I went and it was a bit confusing at first trying to figure out what the deal was with the seating and ordering situations. Like at the Bongo Javas, you order at the counter and are given a stand with an order number then you seat yourself and they bring your order out to you. Same thing with coffee, you order your drink and get a little vibrating light up thingy you see at restaurants. They turn it on when your coffee is finished and you grab it at the counter.
Their menu is more extensive here than at the Javas and the food is just as delicious, if not more so. Their ingredients are so fresh they make your mouth water and the portions are unexpectedly large for the price. They have free wi fi which a lot of people take advantage of. You'll probably find a lot of people studying or working on their laptops while sitting there for hours.
Really theres only one thing I don't like about this place and that is their seating set up. You have to seat yourself, and the tables are communal style which means if there aren't any empty tables you have to sit with some random people. It was also annoying to see so many single groups of people occupying tables for four with all their crap spread all over the place so no one could sit there, while my party of two had to cram into a table with four other people.
It's location in Hillsboro Village and its great features make this a popular spot at all times of the day. There really isn't a time when they're not busy, just a little less. Also I wouldn't reccommend coming here with a large group of people.
Fido is definitely a place for the "see and be seen" group. It's mixed crowd of Vanderbilt and Belmont students, musicians, music industry types, Moms, and business professionals make it nearly impossible to grab a cup of coffee without seeing someone you know.
The coffee's great, they serve Bongo Java, and there doesn't seem to be much turnover in staff, providing you with a sense of familiarity, time and time again. One of the biggest surprises, to me, was just how good their food was. My favorite is their Turkey and Brie sandwich, with a side salad. Though it's a bit pricier than you would expect from a coffee shop, the quality of food makes it worth it.
Free Wi-Fi allows you to hang out and get work done, though I agree it can be pretty loud at times. But every coffee shop in Nashville offers something different, and to me Fido is a great place to network, hang out, and have a good meal or cup of coffee.
Too many hipsters flooding the place. Sandwich was good. But can't get the hipster taste to wash away.
The moment you hit the door into this place you're keenly aware there is some douchebaggery afoot.
Average coffee, ok food, high prices. All served with more attitude than an American Idol runner-up.
Their wifi is terrible.
There are reasons for me to want to like this place, but I just can't. There are just too many reasons not to. Not to mention there are a handful of places closer to home that do a much finer cup of joe (esp. Crema!).
5 Stars, not because the food is 5 star quality, but I just absolutely love Fido. I've eaten more meals there than I could ever count and they are always delicious. It's a great place to come and chill and even get some studying done, but beware there is only 1 outlet and it is near the door.
They also have las paletas when it gets hot out, major plus.
You know, this place is super trendy and you really, really want to like it.
I feel as a resident I'm suppose to love this place through and through, but I just can't. The whole Hillsboro Villiage area is one big horrible place to find parking, but that doesn't mean I don't brave it for certain stores. When you finally find a parking spot you head in, and while the guy who took my order wasn't rude, he wasn't exactly a teddy bear either.
Then we come down to the grub. The food was awesome, I have to give this place that. I wish I could remember what it's called, but it was a chicken, sweet potato type lunch and it melted in my mouth. As far as portion size is concerned, it's overpriced.
I would go back if someone wanted to try it. It's just not a favorite because after circling the block trying to find a parking spot, I don't want attitude.
This was the first coffee shop I started going to in Nashville. They were here before Starbucks was even a household name in TN. I have to give them props for the coffee, especially the espresso based ones, they are all really good.
They offer a lot of seating, some really great menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There food is actually really good even though their thing is coffee and they have a kitchen so it's not just sandwiches. It's a great mix of people that frequent and there is a lot of seating but even still it may be a trick to find seating.
The downside is the parking lot. Getting in and out of the Village is dreadful at this point and you would be lucky to find a spot in the first 15 minutes of trying on the weekend. When I lived that way, I walked.
As far as coffee in Nashville goes, it's hard to beat any Bongo Java coffee house or roast. But more than just a caffeine-dispensary, Fido proves to be one of Nashville's most progressive cafe/restaurants. The food gets better each time I go! Brunch is offered pretty much all day, and the menu has fresh ideas and a rotating daily special. I've had polenta cakes, eggplant towers, a delicious re-take on huevos rancheros, a simple bagel with lox, and amazing homemade cookies. The selection is always diverse and while sometimes a little pricey (any coffee beverage + food will run you around $10 - 20), the results are always worth it. The baristas are very talented as well, often winning local awards for their beverages.
The place is always jammed and the internet is always slow, and I'm docking them a star because they took out a lot of their electrical outlets over the past year to discourage lengthy sit-ins by students or wi-fi addicts. It's in a perfect neighborhood--one of midtown's only neighborhood districts, so people watching is great and you are always sure to see someone you know enjoying a mocha or yazoo beer. And you can't beat this place in the summer time, it just feels so alive! All in all, my favorite cafe in Nashville.
I tend to agree with Tom G. in the abundance of "douchebaggery" happening at Fido. But I tend to look past the clientele and just enjoy that we have a good local coffee shop that seems to do really well at competing with Starbucks! I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but there are some really yummy decadent & calorie-laden specialty drinks that I enjoy... The Milkbone is my favorite! I like any of the food I've tried here from the breakfast items to the sandwiches to the limited selection of Las Paletas flavors that they carry (changes day to day). And, for me, the best item at Fido is this amazing dessert bar. I'm not sure what it's called, but it tastes like caramel, peanut butter, chocolate chips, granola, and maybe cereal... Incredible.
The building has been around for a long time, too. My mom is keen to tell the same story over and over, without knowing it, so I can't count how many times she's told me about the puppy they bought right there at Fido in the 50s when it was Jones Pet Shop and the Cain-Sloan was across the street. They still have the Jones Pet Shop sign atop the building, thus the "Fido" name and theme.
I love this coffee shop. Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for dogs, and I like the concept of the place. I usually stop in for brunch or a great, sweet, indulgent latte -- like the milkbone. And you can refill your latte or espresso drink with regular coffee (if you pay the refill charge) which is a nice touch. When you order your food, instead of giving you just a number, they give you a card with a doggie on it. Nice, even if you get an ugly little dog.
There's usually a line at Fido since it's in Hillsboro Village and is crammed with Vandy students, but everyone seems to enjoy the place: big groups, people with with kids, everybody. I like the veggie scramble (sans tofu) even though I'm not a vegetarian. I think it's pretty cheap and tasty for brunch.
A great outpost of the Bongo Java franchise, Fido is a fun coffee shop. There are even tables outside so you can people watch.
I know there are a gazillion reviews for Fido already, and most are glowing, but I have to put in my two cents on this place. I'll preface by saying, I'm not a coffee drinker. So this might sway my two star rating but only by a bit.
I never wanted to go near Fido because I felt it was too hippie-trendy, always packed with pompous "do-gooders" even though it's questionable what good they were actually doing by hanging out in a coffee house all day, and the drinks were too expensive. But, after persuasion by about six friends that were going for breakfast one day, I felt I would give it a shot. Here's my take, and I've been back once since then. For lunch.
Breakfast: good enough, I got an egg sandwich with basil and tomato, along with some hash browns that were just decent. It took absolutely forever though, so I'm glad I was with good company and was distracted. By myself though, I probably couldn't have handled the wait. Since I don't drink coffee, I got Diet Coke. Yes, luckily they have it. But it's in a can. Oh well, can't ask much for a coffee house I guess. A little overpriced for the food I ate too. Let it slide that time though.
Lunch, about a month later: I came here because I was in the area, and needed to pick up lunch to go. Line was pretty long, and took me about 15 minutes to order. I ordered a salad--lettuce only--with grilled chicken and cheese on top. That was all. Nothing else. After another 20 minutes, and seeing people in line after me get their food, I asked the server about my order. He said he would check on it. Never came back. 10 minutes after that, I asked another person (I wasn't so nice this time--let's face it, I was starving by this point!) about it and he went right back and brought it out. He said it had been there for a while. Nice. No apology or anything. So, after a grand total of 45 minutes and 11 undeserving dollars later, I walked out with limp lettuce and sub-par grilled chicken. Oh--and they forgot the cheese.
I guess I'm the Fido review bitch, but I won't be back. Guess if you like coffee you could check it out for that, but for food don't bother.
Although Fido has been reviewed over 30 times already, as a regular, I like to think I have something new to say about it. I have found the service to be consistently friendly and fast. Even when the line stretches as far back as the restrooms, the wait is never as bad as it looks. The one time a server made a mistake on my order, she caught her own error and let me keep the incorrect plate, along with bringing me the food I'd actually ordered a few minutes later. Fido can get pretty busy and loud, so when the weather's nice I like to sit outside where it's quieter.
I recommend the mug of coffee, with the option of 50 cent refills. Try mixing the medium and dark roasts together to achieve the perfect balance of flavors. My favorite vegetarian breakfast dishes are granola with bananas and strawberries (about $6.00) and egg mcfido (about $5.00).
Back in the day, I didn't know better and thought this cafe was for people that were just "too cool". Turns out, the people there, both employees and customers, are actually cool -- not just pretending to be. I'm so happy I saw past my first impressions because it's one of my favorite spots in Nashville. I've moved away from Tennessee, but every time I'm back, I find myself at fido at least once.
The brewed coffee is always excellent, and thanks to their 50 cent refills I can enjoy as much as my little caffeine-fueled heart desires. The times I've ordered food I have been more than satisfied. (I recommend a bagel sandwich -- toasty and quite tasty.)
fido is a great place to meet up with friends, and catch up over a cup of coffee.
(And take extra quarters for the gumball machine with chocolate covered espresso beans!)
Just visiting town and came here for late lunch and tea. Yay, they have 2 leaves and a bud tea! And good veggie options (had the hummus veggie sandwich) as well. Love the atmosphere and looks like it morphs well into a good nightspot. Hip college crowd, good place to come study and be inspired. Curious about ties to BongoJava as it seems to be their website. Sis had gorgeous veggie scramble and a ymmy chocolate cookie, all looked super fresh and good sized portions.
Fido is a good coffee spot for underclassmen, locals, musicians, and people wanting to meet up in the afternoon to get free wifi. It is on 21st Ave in Nashville near Vanderbilt so it is a popular spot for students. Musicians seem to congregate here too, probably because they have tables outside on the sidewalk and the area on 21st Ave gets good foot traffic, so the 'people watching' is pretty good here.
The atmosphere is pretty communal too. People are always open to sharing a table, and don't mind being chatted up a bit. I actually met a couple good friends at Fido when I first moved to town. We probably decided to start talking just because we both had that, "I don't know anyone" look of desperation, and needed to share an outlet for our laptops.
Fido serves locally roasted Bongo Java coffee, which is really good to drink. Fido also has a full espresso bar and cafe food menu. The fish tacos are my favorite here. The only thing you should be warned about with Fido is that they take a ridiculous amount of time to make espresso drinks. It is really bad for some reason. They usually have several baristas, but they never seem to be able to get their act together. If you have any intention of getting a quick cup of coffee this is not the place to visit. If you are going to hunker down for a couple hours to work or socialize then you won't mind waiting for your coffee, I once waited for over 25 minutes for a cappuccino, ouch. But, alas, the coffee finally was ready, so I could hang out.
This place is a lot like the cafes found in SoCal...um...I may compare it to Solar de Cahuenga...maybe even Insomnia.
I tried one of their coffee drinks...it was a white mocha with honey and some other stuff...keke...I can't remember the name, but I do remember it being delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day like it was that day...
The lunch specials are great daily! Fresh product you can tell the chef goes through extra trouble to make these specials. Portions are adequate and priced fairly. Keep up the good work.
Fido's Iced Americano is really good. Probably one of the best I've had in Nashville. It's hard to find a coffee shop w/ good espresso beans and Fido is good. I haven't had any of their food/snacks, but all of their food looks and smells good.
I really dig the decor here. From the looks of outside, the place doesn't look to big, but it's big enough. It's a fun place for you to go to just chill out and browse online w/ your laptop per they have free wifi (always a plus!!!).
This place was great. My friends had a variety of egg dishes, I had the veggie (tofu) scramble, and we all cleaned our plates. Plus it feels like a cool coffee house, and the ingredients were really fresh.
The coffee was pretty tasty, although special coffee drinks take a long time. I agree with another commenter about their latte drinks, they are quite lovely.
The environment is very cool, so this would be a great place to go with friends.
Fido is a fairly popular little...well, medium-sized coffee joint in the Village. It's a great spot to pop in for a coffee or a sandwich, but your wait might be a bit long. There's plenty of seating and the staff is pretty nice, though they don't necessarily offer the best or cheapest cup of coffee in the city.
As is the case with most businesses in Hillsboro Village, Fido's best attribute is its location. It's the only coffee shop in walking distance of the Belcourt, Provence, Pancake Pantry and Jackson's, and there are a few outdoor tables that are pretty lovely for an afternoon cup of coffee accompanied by a copy of The Scene.
Fido's sandwiches are pretty good, but they're awfully puny for the price you pay, and if you order food you'll likely be kept waiting for a while. Fido offers a pretty big variety of drinks, and the whole canine theme is relatively novel and adorable, I suppose. The place has a tendency to get packed, but seating is plentiful, and if you can stand super-trendy wi-fi hotspots, you'll probably enjoy your visit.
Fido is the Bongo Java-owned and operated breakfast spot for the Nashville veteran and tourist alike. The atmosphere is wonderful, the coffee is of course fantastic, and the selection can't be beat. Hipsters and rdnecks alike can enjoy a breakfast here, as the menu features everything from vegan peanut butter toast to cheese grits!
One of my favorite ways to kill a spare hour in the morning is enjoying a late breakfast at Fido's hanging out on my laptop and watching people drift in and out of this busy sanctuary for the Nashvillian of any kind.
this is my favorite little trendy coffee shop in nashville. i have spent many hours over a pink poodle (one of their signature drinks) at this place laughing and talking with friends. their joe is pretty good too! don't forget to try their pastries... yummy!
grab an old science class table and your grandma's dining room table and stay for hours!
Great place, great food and nice staff from what I can tell. Wireless is good but scarce on power. Have a full charge if you plan to do some work. Acoustics - very loud place, so good 'scene', not perhaps the best place to get lots of work done.
Fido's one of the best, if not the best, coffeeshop that Nashville has. I know that those frou frou drinks can take a while, but if you don't have 10 minutes to go wait for a drink, just grab a cup of the divine coffee (they will make you love black coffee again where Starbucks made you hate it) and go. The food is also quite good. One of the best bargains on the menu is the Spuds McCheesy, which is a (normally) generous serving of hash browns loaded with cheese, tomato, and onion. It really is inexplicably delicious. The cheese grits are also the best of their kind. For lunch, all the sandwiches and salads are a good bet, and the sweet potato fries are quite yummy.
Fido gets busy, but if you don't mind the normal urban bustle, you won't mind this. The people are generally pretty pleasant, and the atmosphere is very nice once you get used to it. Beware: If you and your friends/co-workers/classmates frequent the area, get ready to run into everyone you've ever known.
Absolutely the best coffee-house in Nashville, Fido's ideal location in the Village and its eclectic menu are only a few reasons to love this spot. Fido makes an amazing cappuccino and draws a diverse cliental of local college students and creative professionals who are always friendly for a chat. Much more than just a good place for a coffee and breakfast, Fido also has a small list of beer and wine as well as tasty dinner specials. Down side? It can be a bit loud at times if your sole purpose is to study so bring headphones.
Fido has an awesome vibe, and I thought it was really cool when I went there. Very artsy, and hip little joint. It is a hipster scene, but seemed really chill. It may be as said a place to be seen, but there are so many people dressed in a wide variety that it has more of a vibe of a typical artsy hip big city coffeeshop. If your looking for the unique hip crowded people-watching coffeeshops that you find in bigger cities this is the place to go in Nashville.
The drinks are great. Very good flavours. I have not personally tried the food because I am usually en route to another restaurant later.
Always a fun place to drop by when in Hillsboro Village. Be sure to check out some of the cool shops on the same street.
I liked this place. Hipstery urbany, free wi-fi and maybe pretentious to some people but I grew in up in a city that isn't really big on coffeeshops that let you linger for a bit, have the space to do it and don't charge for wireless (Boston), so that is still a big novelty for me and I am majorly and easily seduced by any combo of those three factors. The food is a touch pricey, the sandwiches pretty good but small. however definitely a fan of the space and the friendly service.
Ever since I moved to Nashville, friends have suggested meeting up at local coffee-space Fido, one of the few coffee/food establishments under the also local Bongo Java umbrella. I have never been disappointed by Fido, either by their food or their drink. Their coffee is great quality, and they have a nice selection of "specialty" flavored-desserty drinks if that's what you prefer in your cup. I had breakfast there this morning and enjoyed a tofu scramble with smoked salmon and capers, alongside fresh fried hash browns and some of the best wheat toast I've had in town. (The person behind the counter said they get their bread from Bread and Co. This wheat toast was right up there with the hearty tartine I experienced at Marche.) They're everything friendly - carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, and can adjust to your preference. Fido is one of the few places around who serve up a bagel, lox and cream cheese sandwich, which according to me is the best meal in existence. I've had soup, pie, a cookie, a bagel sandwich.. I'm always looking forward to trying something new at Fido. I know it will be great. If I recall, they're open til 11p, so don't look Fido over if you're looking for a place to find a later meal.
overall i am a fan, even if sometimes i feel as though i am not cool enough to hang here. ok just kidding. we all know how terribly cool i am. i'm so cool i don't even know the new word for cool. seriously, what is it these days? phat? sick? narly? shitty? is shitty the word for cool yet? i feel like it will be. mark my word as the coolest person eva.
anyway, the espresso drinks are really not the best, i have to be honest. but they do such beautiful latte art! however, if i had to pick between latte art and tasty latte, i really do pick the latter. so if they work on the latte, i'd give them 5 stars.
the food's alright. the ambiance is fantastic. and they have wifi free! i mean, starbucks is so cheap (on many levels) but particularly on this front. i mean, what does it cost to equip all of your cafes with wireless? based on the profit they are making, probably next to nothing, yet they are cheapy mcheapertons and have to scrounge every single penny they can get. jerks.
but fido is not a jerk and is very nice.
