I agree with the comment above by Lacy D. That even, if you're not (as she put it) a "girlie-girl" you can feel really comfortable walking around in FEZ. I wear light make-up, but I don't even wear make-up everyday or never spend a lot of money on it. But, even going in there after a sweaty bike ride and toting my bike helmet, I felt comfortable walking around and looking at their products. There was no pressure to buy, but Fez and the other guy there were really helpful in answering my questions about products. I love that a lot of their products are made from natural materials. My lipstick was made out of Vitamin E, Aloe, Mango Seed and all kinds of natural oils yet it still maintained a high pigment of color. I've never seen lipstick like that! A lot of their products are what they call "Eco-Luxuries." Definitely will be going back the next time I want to pick up a product.
Fez did the makeup for my wedding and I LOVED it! Everyone thought he was a lot of fun too. He did makeup for about 15 people, I think, in total, and everyone looked fantastic. He helped me relax and have a good time and was extremely professional. I recommend him extremely highly for event makeup.

In Short: Fez is an expert on skin & makeup, modest, fun, humble. I wholeheartedly recommend his… Read more »
I completely agree with everything everyone has already said, but would like to add that what really makes Fez Studio a special place is Fez himself. He is just concerned with making you look and feel spectacular. He remembers your name and little personal details even if you aren't in every week.
I recently took a friend in during our latest snow storm and Fez provided some much needed distraction and glamour.
He is truly the best make-up (and feel good) studio in the city.
I love shopping for make-up and looking at all the beautiful colors and products. When I shop at Fez Studio I have a great time.
Fez has many products I can't find anywhere else in Portland, he is extremely helpful and honest about what looks good and what doesn't and never tries to oversell me on anything.
Several times I've had a special event and Fez has done my make-up. I felt so glamorous and extra special. I love the personal attention and his great memory for what I've already purchased!
It's personal, fun and the products are really good. I'm nuts for the Kevyn A. mascara, it's truly amazing.
Finally, Fez was wonderful in hosting two special events which benefited wonderful dog-related causes. He was so generous. Have fun shopping with Fez.
I love Fez Studio for many reasons.
Mainly it gives me a chance to be all giiiiirly. Plus it allows me to embrace the younger part of me that ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted one of those creepy Barbie heads that you put the makeup on. (come on...they WERE a little creepy!)
But Fez is awesome because not only is the selection of products pretty damn impressive, but also because you get to play with EVERYTHING.
Go in and get a consultation and see what works for you, or just admire all the glittery eye shadows to choose from.
I have always had really crappy makeup that I deemed acceptable while running through the Rite-Aid in a rush for allergy meds, so when I say I was floored by this place I mean it. Figuring out how to apply bronzer was never high on my list of to dos, but i discovered something when I went here...it's really fun. The store is a sea of colors. Tables filled with little jars and pots of glosses and greatness. It's so pretty and tempting my inner-girly girl was jumping up and down with glee!
Fez has done professional make up for many photo shoots and celebrities, so he know he shiz. He showed me how to use brushes and tools of various sizes and gave me lots of tips so I could recreate all of the magic we created. Awesome.
Of all the thingys I got from Fez, the stuff i love most is all the awesome skin care stuff from Arcona. Smells like cranberries and feels amazing and clean and apparently Katherine Heigl uses it, which is always a good sign. ha.
Anyway Fez himself is really the reason to go, because he loves people and is super excited to join you in your kid-in-a-candy-store experience in there. He loooves it. It made me feel like I was 12 again and at a sleepover during makeover time. He is full of good ideas, will be straight with you about stuff and not try to give you the hard sell, and mostly is just too damn nice. :)
In a nutshell. I love this place.
Screw the Barbie head. This is waaay more fun.
Fez is the greatest!
He carries products which are easy to use, lovely on and presented by Fez in a relaxed, caring environment in which he takes time to help choose the right products and to teach us how to apply them beautifully.
I've used very few cosmetics in the past 20 years because they seemed to be overwhelming for my lifestyle (the costs, the heavy look most shops present, the inappropriateness to the life I live), but Fez gave me a beautiful, soft and natural AND easy to achieve look I'm loving to live in!!!
