I had a great experience with ordering delivery tonight. The order taker was extremely friendly, and the food arrived within 30-35 minutes like they estimated. Delivers until 10:30PM.
We ordered the Hunan Eggplant in Garlic Spicy Sauce. It is prepared in a sweet and sour sauce, and was pretty good. The chow mein was delicious, except for the fact that they piled all the meat on top, but it didn't impact the taste. Last, we got the Twice Cooked Pork--some pieces were well cooked and others weren't so much. However, the dish had lots of vegetables and it tasted just fine.
The entire meal cost us less than $25, and we will have leftovers for at least 2 more meals. In my Chinese opinion, the food is as authentic as it gets. I don't get those Chinese cravings often, but Feng Shui really hit the spot tonight!
Oh, and PS. This is a Chinese-owned restaurant. Probably not the best idea to order their Japanese options, though I am not speaking from experience on that... -

This is hands down the worst sushi delivery I have ever had.
I have ordered from them twice now...I had hoped that they has just one bad run the first time so I gave them a second chance - never again!
Both times my rolls were barely held together and soggy.
I had also ordered ramen here once and when I finally received my LATE delivery it has spilled in the bag and all over the rest of my order. I called to complain and they said there was nothing they could do about it.
That's fine, there's nothing I can do but give you an bad yelp review. -

I don't want to be harsh, but for the money I paid (over $60) I'm sadly dissapointed. My first mistake was ordering Japanese food from a Chinese restaurant. My second mistake was ordering Japanese food for delivery.
Their tempura was chewy and soggy. Instead of giving us the rice and salad that was on the menu, they subsituted with 2 orders of soup, even though we had already ordered a large miso soup.
The fish, tho not bad, was not good either. A little too chewy, and no melt in your mouth deliciousness.
I will not be ordering from them again. -

I realize that at this point, no one can be blamed but myself.
But this is the third time I've had dinner from Feng Shui.
And the third time I've nearly $h@t my pants immediately thereafter.
Other than that, the food tastes ok.
Be warned, o ye of fragile tummies. -

Feng Shui definitely was NOT ready for livingsocial's $1 deal today...everything took forever, and at the end of the day I will not return for the food or the service. Feng Shui + Livingsocial instant deal = not worth $1.
It was pure mayhem. -

I have ordered from here a few times and was initially impressed with the food and the quick delivery. The last few times though the food seems to have slipped in quality. Some of the food we ordered seem to have no taste at all. I will probably be trying a different Chinese food takeout place in the future.

An hour and 30 minutes for delivery? Check yourself Feng Shui!

Review from Tim N.
We ordered from Feng Shui off of http://GrubHub.com late on a Saturday night, and I was actually very impressed! Super cheap, very tasty, and quite prompt, we really have every reason to like this place a lot.
The ordering process was simple and our food arrived within 30 minutes. We ordered the homemade pork pot stickers for an appetizer. They were a little on the greasy side, but extremely tasty. They came with a couple different types of spicy, tangy sauces. The sushi tasted very fresh and had a lot of flavor. The California and Chicken Teriyaki Rolls were my favorites, and the Ebi-Kyu and Hamachi Rolls were not too shabby either. Generous portions of ginger and wasabi were included, which was a nice touch, considering that no one ever seems give enough of this.
Feng Shui is highly recommended for that late night sushi hankering. Check it out! -

Review of delivery from Feng Shui
Oyako Donburi (Chicken Donburi)
This was beyond bland and what little flavor it did have was not very good. I tried just adding sauce but that could not even save it. I threw it away.
Vegetable Tempura
This was also very bland. Tempura is a very sensitive dish and the batter did not have the lightness one expects from tempura.
Corn Soup
This was your typical sweet corn soup. It was actually relatively nice. However, it was actually supposed to be a miso soup.
Delivery was prompt, professional, and polite. -

So disappointed. Found this place because required some wine to go with football watching (Big Lantern was closed for renovations) and they deliver that so that's a plus. The food was awful. The worst offenders were the chicken dishes-Chicken Teriyaki (supposedly mostly white meat) and Chicken with broccoli and almonds (also supposedly white meat). Both dishes were full of gristly pieces of non white meat, brown salty sauce that tasted almost the same, and were accompanied by hard white rice (not fluffy or sticky like most Asian restos). BBQ pork, gristly and horrible. Tamago was GREEN (not yellow) and warm (not room temperature). Japanese potstickers were greasy and badly flavored. Yuck. At least there was wine...(although a different brand than ordered). Threw the whole food order out except for fortune cookies. Very sad! They get one star (instead of zero if I could) because of delivering the wine.

I have ordered from this restaurant before, and was happy with the quality. It is usually very consistent and I have enjoyed their speed in delivery.
However tonight was a different story. I ordered a $15 sashimi plate ($20 with tax and tip) and expected some yummy, tender, fresh fish. However when it arrived, I dug in. I started with the soup... not bad. Went on to the California Roll... decent. Got to the sashimi and was VERY disappointed. It was tough, tasted fishy (which is exactly what fresh, properly prepared fish should NOT taste like) and I could not eat any more.
I am usually a very passive person, especially when it comes to restaurants, but I paid $20 for sushi and I wanted my money's worth. I am a starving dental student! I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and I was told he was out on delivery and would return my call. An hour passed and no call was received. I called back and he was still out. About 30 minutes after my second call, he called me back.
I explained my situation, that the fish was tough and did not taste fresh. The first words out of his mouth were that the fish was fresh and there may have been too many tendons. I conceded that this may be the reason, but I was not happy with the quality of my meal. Once again he repeated that the fish was fresh, he cut it himself. And I insisted, that this may be the fact, but it does not taste like it and I am not happy. I asked if I could be refunded my money or get another meal as a replacement. For a third time, he insisted the fish was fresh and the best he could do for me was offer me 15% off my next order. I asked if that was the best he was going to do for me. He said yes, that was the final offer and for me to call in the next time I order so I can receive my discount.
As if. Never again. I say try anything once, but if you get the quality of food I got... You're SOL when it comes to management. Good luck. -

I was really disapointed when I stopped here this trip to the City. I arrived about 20 minutes after the stated open time. The doors were locked, I saw nobody inside. I decided to go elsewhere for my lunch.
The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is that I have eaten here MANY times before. I almost always eat here at least one time when in the City. The food is usually a little better than average, same with the sevrice. It is usually clean and the prices are not bad either. -

I am so bummed I didn't yelp this place first.
*Slaps self on the wrist
This place sucked. I went here because, I was working late and planned on going out with my girls after I was off work. I wanted to get something close to my work and not have to cook something when I got home.Well crap, looks like I should have cooked something myself!
I got the orange chicken.. it was not so good. At first bite I could tell there was something wrong, it was so greasy and made my stomach ache almost right after eating it.
The white rice tasted like someone poured a jar of salt on top of it.
The vegetarian hot and sour soup was the only thing I kind of enjoyed eating. It was so spicy, even compared to normal hot and sour. But it cured my hunger for the time being. Needless to say I ended up getting food later on in the night, because of this place.
I won't be back. -

Superduperfastarse delivery!
Seriously, if you just rolled outta bed after a weekend afternoon siesta, and are sitting around scratching your 'fro thinking about what to eat, these guys arrive in under 20 minutes. So don't go take a shower, thinking you have enough time, otherwise you might miss them or worse, have to open the door in your towel, all wet + drippity-drip, shampoo in your eyes, shaving cream on your goatee, etc.
The only odd thing about the otherwise tasty food, was that the scallion pancakes could be more pancakey and had peanut butter on top!! 4 Stars! -

Who wants to order form a restaurant named Feng Shui....was my thinking. Sounds so cheesy...
BUT, I tried it anyway because i am curious george.
The delivery was so fast I wonder how on earth they got here so fast. It gets to your door in lightening speed. I had enough time to get up and look for money. That's it!! I didn't realize I only had $16, and my order was $15, and I apologized to the delivery man profusely and asked for his name and I promised to send him a tip, but he kindly told me to don't mind and went on his merry way. They are fast and nice. I hope he delivers to me again and I promise to repay his kindness.
Now the food...it tastes so fresh and flavorful. It's definitely flavored with peppers, curry, spices, herbs, etc etc, instead of just msg, salt, soysauce, and sugar. Its also not greasy at all, and dare I say that this Chinese food actually tastes healthy. I asked my sister if she would like to add anything to the review, but she was drinking the curry sauce out of the container.....who drinks just the sauce unless it was that good.
They also have this vegetarian chicken dish which is great. I get bored of eating just vegetables all the time.
I took away one star because the mabo tofu SUCKED. you can't use firm tofu for mabo tofu. I should be able to shove it in my mouth and swallow it if I wanted to and not chew. -

Terrible. Went here for the $1 Living Social deal for lunch and got sick about 10 minutes after we left. We ordered a sushi plate. Between 2 of us, we left half the plate of sushi; my boyfriend has never left a piece of sushi on his plate, let alone on anyone's plate around us. Don't waste your time.

Review from andrea v.
We ordered tofu and broccoli and vegetarian chicken in spicy sauce. The meals were decent, but not much better than what I would expect from a steam table at a take out restaurant.
When we were seated, the server brought out two bowls of a clear broth vegetable soup. When he came back, I asked him if it was vegetarian, did it have chicken broth or anything in it? He said it was vegetarian. Then as I was asking about the chicken broth, he said, it's vegetarian, it has fish broth. wtf. That is not vegetarian. So then he realized I meant *real* vegetarian. And he left the soup there until much later when I had to ask him to take it away.
I made sure our entrees really were vegetarian. I give them 3 stars because they do have a decent number of vegetarian options.
We ate here about a year ago and I thought I liked it, so I ignored the bad reviews, but when I came back, I remembered that it was only so-so. There are much better restaurants in SF. It almost seems like they are trying to do too many things with the Japanese and Chinese menus. (Jack of all, master of none?)Listed in: I should have been born in…

Consistently fairly decent, plus free delivery.
I live just a few blocks from here in Pac Heights, but I'm lazy so I always have food delivered through http://GrubHub.com. I really like this place because the Japanese dinner box is a great deal (2 entrees plus soup, rice, "salad") and the threshold for free delivery is only $10 (dinner box is $11.95).
Usually arrives w/in 15-30 mins.
Usually they get the order right, but one time they forgot the katsu sauce (I almost blew an o-ring), twice they've given me veggie tempura rather than the shrimp and veggie, and once they gave me chicken teriyaki rather than chicken katsu.
It's my go-to for a cheap, fast, satisfying meal when I don't feel like cooking. Reminds me of my fave teriyaki place in college. -
Review from Matt G.
Matt and co-worker ate here for lunch. Matt ordered the Curry-Chicken over rice (#12) and he ordered the General Cho's Chicken over rice (#13). Both of our under $6.00 meals are one of 20 lunch specials from this restaurant. We wanted to dine-in, but we were forced to take out because we were dispatched by HQ. So we had to eat our lunch an hour later. The waitstaff understands our crisis and hurried the chef with our meal, and indeed they were fast
Both of our dishes were indicated as spicy items, but Matt was not in the mood to excite himself with the spiciness at that time, so Matt requested and enjoyed his Curry Chicken on the mild side. Co-worker's Spicy General Cho's was very tangy and good, eventhough the claim-to-fame special contained no veggies. Matt had a bite his Spicy General's Chicken and was amazed how good it tasted and will be a purposed choice on Matt's next visit.
Matt and another co-worker came back the very next day. This time without any distraction and with the rain approaching, we dined in. Matt enjoyed first co-worker's General Chicken from the first visit that he ordered the same exact dish, but "spicy" on this visit. Matt was amazed on how much big the portion was. There must be at least 50 chicken pieces from the claim-to-fame lunch special on Matt's huge veggie-less rice-plate. Co-worker ordered the Spicy Eggplant over rice (#9). Her meal had a spicy savory sauce over the veggies and egg-plant, which made it a perfect combo. Our lunch special comes with a bowl of house soup, wedges of sliced Oranges and Fortune Cookie, which was stale. The friendly waitstaff also gave us a plate of complimentary Fried Bananas, which was very good and tasty. All of delicious meals from both worthwhile visits were prepared very fast.
For a Marina restaurant, this Szechaun place is very good, although it hiding on traffic-heavy Lombard St. This place does delivers, but you get a bigger portion when you dine-in. The Feng-Shui for this place is
Yin: tasty food with big portions
Yang: cheap and affordable prices for a Marina restaurantListed in: 500-600th review, "Second time around"

Update: 2/27/08: I noticed they have a new CleanScore rating of 94 with no major or moderate violations...What a huge jump from 6 in Dec. I hope they keep this up! My low rating was based on past scores so I'll try it again and see if they deserve more stars!
********************
I'm at odds with how to score this and here's the reason:
Feng Shui has good fast Chinese food, which is ultra guilt inducing because I can't seem to stop ordering General Cho's chicken. The hot and sour soup is very good and they have nice lunch specials. The one dish I didn't like was the crispy Hong Kong style noodles.
Here's the very big problem...it has a very low (one of the worst) clean score ratings and the violations are disgusting. I'm afraid I can't go here anymore until they clean up their act. If it had a better clean score, I would have given it a 4 for good Chinese fast food and friendly service. Oh well, there's always Dragon Well. -

This place is pretty bad. I can only comment on the Japanese food they serve. We went here because the prices were too low to pass up. I realize that most people on yelp seem to be judging their food based off of delivery. Has anyone eaten in the restaurant and seen how filthy it is? We were seated in the front room and the carpet was stained. Very dirty. When we saw the quality of the restaurant itself, we decided that sushi may not be the best option here, so we went with some bento boxes with 2 rolls as an appetizer. We usually just order all sushi when we go out. We ordered some type of tuna roll. The tuna tasted like it came out of a can. We couldn't even finish it.
They received a 76 on the SF Inspection Score. This was due to improper holding temps, rodents, food in poor condition/unsafe, food contact surfaces not clean/stanitized, etc. I will post the link so that I don't have to type it all out.

The only reason they get 2 stars is because the service was great. The person serving us was very sweet. -

I like this restaurant in my neighborhood, because some time I'm super busy that I can't go out to the restaurant.
I would call Jimmy the owner, who would cook special dishes for me and my clients. I had it delivered
Most of the dishes that I ordered were good I had not try the Japanese dishes here so I can't comments on it.
I suggest you check it out for yourself and see what do you think?

you're paying Marina prices for a-okay-tasting Chinese food. Suit yourself. Or suit myself... I took the plunge.

I used to live in the Marina, and for great Chinese and good Japanese food this is the spot down there. Jimmy the owner is really a great guy and is very accommodating with whatever you need.
I also was really surprised when they added sushi, Pleasantly Surprised, my friends & I would eat here a couple of times a week. -
Review from Kelly P.
Got take out here one night (since they liter the streets of the Marina with their take-out menus) and it wasn't bad. It wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't bad and it was fast. Ordered a Kung Pao chicken, some veggies, and egg rolls. Pretty fried, pretty standard take-out you regret ordering about an hour after you scarf down.
Although recently I looked up their clean (or not so clean score) and they score a 43 out of 100. Granted, I've never been in the place to inspect it myself, but getting docked for multiple major and minor violations (including the crawling kind you want as far from your food as possible) isn't cool. Can't say I have the urge to ever order from here again until they clean up. And start a recycling program for all those damn menus. -

Went there only because the place we wanted to try ended up being closed even though fellow Yelpers said it was open on Tuesdays...
Soup was bland. Spicy eggplant was very good and the Beef in Oyster sauce was okay.
Spring rolls were as they should be.
Atmosphere...your average Chinese place. -

Is there anyone in town that can get sushi delivery right?!
Ordered from these guys through http://delivery.com and was kinda disapponited when the food showed up. Not that there was anything terribly wrong with it but the sushi just wasn't on point as I was hoping. I guess the search for GOOD sushi delivery in the city continues.
At least it'll be that much sweeter when I finally find it. Suggestions anyone? -

Ordered delivery from Feng Shui and I wasnt too thrilled after it arrived.
We ordered an Unagi Donburi, Rainbow Roll, Philly Roll and a Dragon Roll. The unagi was tasty, but the fish on the rainbow roll was not fresh at all. I also disliked the imitation crab itself- why couldnt they put a little more effort for the crab salad instead?? (my own preference, of course.) The tempura also had way too much batter on it.
I think we could have spent $45.00 elsewhere on better sushi... -

Super quick delivery, but maybe the food would've been better if they took the time to cook it right?
The hongkong style crispy noodles were drenched in a somewhat dark sauce, even though it was ordered with just vegetables. Shouldn't the sauce be clearer, since its just chicken/vegetable broth. That was a clear miss.
The orange chicken made my boy happy, but what does he know about Chinese food :P It was heavily batter coated and soaked in another dark sauce with the sprinkle of pepper for the "hot&spicy" classification.
:/ It just wasn't San Francisco calibur Chinese food. There's better out there. -

I see a lot of reviews not happy with the sushi...duh!!! you don't get sushi from a place that makes anything but sushi because chances are you'll taste whatever else they serve in your sushi.
Now for the Chinese food...
Love this spot for the freshness factor. With as many Chinese food places to eat around town I am sure the experiences could run together as one time out. However I had to highlight this place for being a cut above the rest. Never have I felt rushed or the typical hurry up and buy. Great service, excellent Fresh Food and a clean environment. Seems like these are basic things for any place serving food but I'm sure we all have learned better....oh yeah, try calling for delivery, it gets there before you know it. -

I got the sashimi dinner delivered...too bad they stiffed me on the miso soup and salad that was supposed to come with it--and it's not worth the 30 minute wait to have them fix their mistake and deliver the forgotten items.
But, delivery was pretty snappy (about 35 min).
I may give them another try, but I'll definitely confirm ALL the details on the order over the phone to make sure they don't forget anything, again. -

The food is decent here, but the delivery service is terrible. We ordered last night at 7pm and after an original 20-40 minute estimate, the food didn't arrive until 8:45, after I had called them twice - once at 8pm and once again at 8:25. At 8pm they claimed the food had been out for 20 minutes, and at 8:25 they claimed the driver was stuck in traffic (going from lombard in the marina to north beach - i'm highly skeptical). I told them several times that we had to leave for the airport at 8:45 so they might want to tell the driver to hurry - needless to say we never received the food because we had to leave.
I'm glad I said I would pay cash so I didn't have to choose between shoving cold chinese food down my gullet while racing late to the airport or having to eat the cost of the food. The owner wasn't even prepared to make it up to us - he just kept saying that he was sorry. It was truly bush-league and I won't be ordering from them again. -

Feng Shui has grown to become one of my favorite Chinese places in the city. And that's saying a lot because we all know there're more Chinese restaurants in the city than there are humans that live in the city.
I like how Feng Shui lets you substitute your side of steamed rice for a side of fried rice (for free, I think, or its something like 50 cents). I've tried the chicken, the lamb, the lunch specials, and I love them all. The service is phenomenal - the folks there take an extra effort to be nice, and I really appreciate that. They deliver, and the dishes are not really that pricey.
Check it out, yo. -

Thank you Yelpers! I just found my favorite new Chinese restaurant for delivery. Good bye Tai Chi, Bamboo, and Brandy Ho....well, I might keep Brandy around because the deep-fried potstickers are still damn good.
But anyway, I ordered from Feng Shui for the first time last night because of all the positive reviews, and I was still impressed with the food! The hot and sour soup is the best I've found for the area, which means it's good but not great. :) The Kung Pao chicken was really yummy, with just the right amount of salty saucy goodness and large chunks of chicken. The General Chau's chicken was really good too - the pieces of chicken stayed crispy throughout our entire meal, which is saying a lot for delivery! Liked the steamed dumplings too, and a healthy change from the usual oily pan-fried variety.
Yay for finding new restaurants you like! -

I am at work and I just finished eating from Feng Shui. I ordered delivery since my lazy ass didn't want to go get food. i ordered the sizzling rice soup and i loveeeeeed it. Not only that, but my soup was steaming hot when i opened it. I burnt my tongue, but im not complaining because i love my food extra HOT. They also gave me a good amount of seafood in the soup compared to other chinese restaurants where they only give you like ONE shrimp.
They were fast & nice...so the delivery guy got a nice tip from me :) -
