Never have your bed facing a door... and if you must, make sure that you have something in between the end of the bed and the door, such as a bench.
For your desk, it is almost the opposite, you should try to face the door, so you can see who is entering. You should also be able to see a window and not have the window behind your head. If the only way to organize the room demands that the desk either look at a window or a door (Meaning that the door and only window are on opposite walls) Then sit facing the door and put a mirror on the side walls so that you can see the reflection of the window from your desk.
Other Feng Shui interesting rules include having a clear entry way to bring in opportunities, keeping a clean basement to have a strong and organized foundation, and keeping any clutter for that matter away... Clutter often promotes stress and overwhelming reactions.
Carole St. Germain came to my house in the Highlands, and gave us much needed advice on an over 100-year old house that we bought as a foreclosure, as you can imagine, the energy fields were way off balance and major renovation had to be done to "cleanse."
* Star one is a shout out to Carole for not being too overwhelmed with our Highlands haunted house
** Creativo star two is for incorporating a different kind of interior design into a buildings infrastructure
*** Balanced out star three is for offering a service that helps people become more balanced and productive
**** Design integrated star four is for Carole St. Germain's cool last name, which makes her seem just as exotic as Feng Shui... Check out Feng Shui and you can't go wrong!
