9 reviews for Fellini's
Excellent pizza, particularly when you factor in some great happy hour pricing. ($5 off regular pizza if you eat at the bar.) Nicely cooked thin crust, with fresh ingredients. I had the Fellini special: Italian sausage, blue cheese, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, and tomato sauce)
The service was adequate, albeit somewhat indifferent. I don't expect too much while eating at the bar, but it could have been much better.
Not quite sure about the smoking laws in va, but if you don't like cigarette smoke, this is not the place for you.
Altogether a good place that, with a few adjustments, could be excellent.
Went here once with my girlfriend while staying in Norfolk for one night. We loved our dishes -- the Ziti Fellini and the Shrimp & Grits special. They were huge portions (we get another meal from them) and were quite tasty. Given that they also came with a huge house salad and garlic bread (for the Ziti dish), you may want to consider splitting one entree (and then trying a dessert that appears to get great reviews).
My only complaint is that there is a smoking section, and since it's one big room, even though I didn't smell smoke (it appeared well ventilated), I know that sharing any indoor area with smokers is not smoke-free.
Otherwise, highly recommend!
We went with a group of about 15 and had a great time. The servers were exceptional given the size of our group and were very attentive. Some of the appetizers were a little on the smallish side, but the portions on the entrees were good and I don't think anyone went home hungry.
Good atmosphere (dudes - there are some interesting photos in your bathroom)
We stopped in last night before a show at the 40th Street Stage. We were in a hurry, so we didn't order much.
The tomato bisque soup was really good, but just luke warm. It would be great if it was hot. We didn't have time to send it back.
The pizza was ok, nothing too special. Actually, just a step up from frozen pizza, but tasty frozen pizza.
I'll try something else next time we're here.
Good Italian food, much better than the Olive Garden. I always get the eggplant appetizer [for my meal] and end up taking 1/2 of it home! Serve a variety of specialty pizzas, if you go before 7 they're $5. Desserts are killer too, try the Reeses cheesecake. Staff is always pleasant and happy to see you.
Great choice!
Seriously good Bar staff and food. The menu has something for everyone and the Bar has everything one could want. A great neighborhood place.
Good Italian. The pasta is always decent, the vegetarian pizza has been hit or miss. The veggie lasagna is really good. My boyfriend likes this place so we go pretty often.
This place is so close to our house in Colonial Place we eat there a couple of times a month. The food is good and there are a lot of regulars there. There is something for everyone. Best known for their Greek Salad and pizzas!
Fun atmosphere, decent food, close to the Ted Constance center.
