Hog Heaven!
This place is phenomenal! We went next door to Taylor's Refresher as part of our Napa trip, and saw this place on the way in. I couldn't believe my eyes!!! A Charcuterie place.
The best thing 'bout this place is everything's made in house! Terrines, pates, salami's, proscuitto, Spanish Chorizo, and the list goes on.
I ended up buying a sampler of assorted goods, and we ate it later that night while at the bar at Cuvee!
I told 'em we need a Fatted Calf in So. Cal. Hope I convinced 'em!

We went to Fatted Calf which is next to Taylor's Refresher & the Oxbow Public Market.  It's next to Model Bakery.

Lots of meats here.  We got: 2 fennel sausages, 1 smoked ham hock, and one saucisson sac salami.

They also carry Rancho Gordo beans; Soul Food Farm pastured eggs, and bacon.  Happy Quail Farms spices sold there too.

Our total was $25.22, credit cards taken.

At last, Fatted Calf is open for business at the Oxbow Market.  They are not located inside the actual building, it's outside next door to Model Bakery and Taylor's Refresher.

I first discovered them at the Tuesday morning Farmer's Market at Copia.  Repeat customer of their duck confit and bacon.
Went to the new store for the first time this past Monday, looking for some meats for our weekly blind tasting group.  The nice lady suggested roast pork and smoked duck breast would pair well with the Oregon Pinot theme we had for the evening.  Both items were crowd pleasers.

I will certainly be making bi-monthly trips to pick-up munchies for the tasting group at the very minimum.

WOW!!!

Every time I go I am simply amazed at the quality and quantity of products they have available. everything from whole cuts of killer meats to confits, rillettes, foie torchon and amazing cured sausages. As well as classic charcuterie accompaniments like salted capers and lentil salads.

The spanish chorizo is the real deal, as good as any I've had actually from spain and high end. It is absolutely superb and starting to appear by name on many restaurant menus around the valley.

I have had about three daily made sandwiches and they have all been five yelp star worthy. Best sandwiches I've had in Napa at a totally reasonable price using what appears to me as only the freshest ingredients.

I would highly recommend and will be returning frequently and don't forget to get a fegatelli before you leave!

The Fatted Calf...oh, what a wonderful place. Now you don't go there for the decor, unless crepinettes, sausages, pates, and various condiments are your idea of eye candy. Works for me, though.

The offerings here are seasonal and depend on what TFC's outstanding suppliers have on hand at any given time. An essential place to shop if you're making cassoulet (in the winter they had both duck confit and Toulouse sausages). I've had three different kinds of crepinettes (rabbit-, duck-, and pork-based) that were incredible, and various sausages, chops, bacon, porchetta, and other meaty items that were of superb quality. Fortunately the lines are not yet out the door and around the block.

FULL DISCLOSURE: My relationship with TFC was sealed when I had a sample of their duck cracklings. Resistance is futile.
