Review from Christopher M.

I didn't quite know what to expect when I walked into Fat Boy Bill's at 6pm on a Friday. It's a good sized space, but every light in the restaurant was off, save the ones right over the bar. And the lights weren't needed, because the only people there were two bartenders and three regulars drinking Bud Light. Kristin P wanted to run away, but I wanted a martini.
I choose wisely. Our night at Fat Boy's (apparently they're dropping the "Bill's" from the name) was outstanding. The bartender (Denise) and the owner (Suzie) were wonderful hosts, and probably why we stayed so long. I think they were pretty excited to have a bunch of classy folks from the city drinking martinis at their bar (boy we had THEM fooled!) Or maybe it was because when we left at 9:30, the place was just as empty as when we arrived. But next time I'd like to stick around until the band goes on... -

How are the bands at Fat Boy Bills? No, seriously, I'm asking because I don't know. We weren't there for that, but we'd like to come back and find out!
I'm getting ahead of myself again, and it's not funny because I can see my ass and that makes me think I should head to the gym... wait. what? I know... I'm off track. That's what happens when you put a bunch of Yelpers in one spot. You're brain gets all wibbly wobbly and you jump from subject to subject. Even now, in the aftermath.... wobbly.
So a bunch of us were planning on heading to Mendon for the Drive-in but needed a place to meet up and consolidate cars, etc... I called around it was the guy I spoke to at Fat Boy Bill's that said "No Problem. Come on down. Leave a car or two in our lot, sure. Come in and have a drink, don't worry if you don't come back after, although you're welcome..."
And so we met at Fat Boy Bills after 6pm and there were few people in the joint... aren't there businesses in Milford? Where do you people drink after work on a Friday? This place would be perfect for that! Gheez...
The staff was fantastic (we even took photos with our bar tendered) and we were enjoying ourselves so much that we lingered... okay, also, God thought it proper to make it rain we we wanted to go to the Drive-in... blasted! Still, we could have moved on, but we didn't quite yet.
The place has exactly the right ambiance for a blues bar. They really did it right. And although all we ate was fried bar food (so I can't speak for much else), it was well done. My only gripe is that they apparently only had soo much room in the fryer, so when we didn't order all together we had to wait for one group to get everything for the next group's food was even started... but half of that was our fault, no?
We left before their night really got going with the band and the crowd... because we had more gabbing and drinking to do.
And we never got to the drive in because it rained. Yes, God failed, but Fat Boy Bill's was a win!
It's time for a nap, me thinks... still wobbly. -

Denise & Suzie.....
Margarita & Wine...
Jalapeño Poppers & Mozzarella Stix....
Yelpers & a bar...
Good Times... Good Times...
These ladies (D & S - bartender & owner) know how to hang with us folks. It was a pleasure talking with them. They were super friendly. They know how to get us Yelpers going. Thanx for serving us and feeding us.
Spanks a lot! Another night out west and we'll be back for sure! -
Review from Kerri O.
So, we came, we ate and drank, and we made friends with the staff....
I can get behind that. Most of the Yelpers got bar food, and I got Kale soup, which was great...It took a good while, so I think they made it from scratch for me.
I was amused by explaining how to make my Dark and Stormy. Dawn ended up whipping out her Blackberry to explain the recipe for a Sidecar...
Good music on the Juke Box...
The staff is Super Friendly, and the food and drinks were good and super cheap. That's all a terrific blend of "Gotta Go Back".
Too bad Milford is so far from home. Though, next time we attempt a Drive In trip, we are definitely meeting up here! -

FatBoy's is now closed. No shocker there. The food service was a afterthought.

This is a great local place to see some awesome blues and rock bands up close and personal on Thursday-Saturday nights (mostly Fridays and Saturdays - Thursdays are usually open mic night so it's give or take). Bill's is clean and newly updated inside and out and you can always get a beer no matter what. Its under new management so they're really trying there best at the place. The doormen are nice guys too, i guess i say that cuz I'm one of them, hehe. Over all, it's a great place to come dance or to just sit back, relax and listen to the music.
