I finally found my haircutter of whom I've been a client for 4 years. I had not gone to her since last December of 2005. She had been on a medical hiatus and had finally opened her own store, Farzy Cuts, 8 months afterwards in Redmond.
Farzy was really happy to see me. She told one of the patrons waiting for her cut that I was one of her favourite clients. Haha! You can tell she was very happy to have her own space, her "home away from home" as she aptly calls it. She is so proud to make her own schedule and show her hospitality to her clientele. Thanks, Farzy!
I've been going to see Farzi for 7 years or so at least, and think she is great. She used to be at a supercuts type place, and everyone wanted to see her, so it's good she opened her own business, and from the looks of things, she has been doing very well. She does my hair just the way I like it every time, she is very reasonably priced, she can almost always get me in the same day, etc. She has had to increase her hours because she is so popular, and with an appt, she is always running right on schedule, not keeping me waiting.
I've been going to Farzi's for about a year now and does a great job! My cut is pretty simple, but I don't even need to explain it, she just says, I know, I know. I keep bugging her that she should hire some more help but she always says, no, no. She's pretty busy, but I've usually been able to call mid-day and get a late afternoon haircut, no problem. Her price is a few bucks more than the chains, but she does a great job.
I have had my hair cut dozens of times by Farzy when she was at SuperCuts in Redmond, and finally, finally, she has opened her own shop! And she is my all-time favorite barber!!!
She is funny, sweet, and extremely good at what she does. She works fast but it always comes out right. This is a good deal too, with prices in the teens. I have a fairly conservative short men's haircut, so can't provide testimonial on colors or long hair. But I bet she's good.
The facility is cute, modern, middle-Eastern themed I'd guess. She often has fresh-brewed tea available if that's your thing.
There is a cute little airplane to sit in for kids cuts.
Farzy is the only cutter here right now, not sure if that will change.

The best parking is right around the corner on 161st in the same building, there are 4 covered spots good for 60 min or less.
Farzy does a great haircut! She does get busy around lunch time, but that is expected of anyone with repeat clientele. She always has such a kind and calming effect, and it is actually a nice break to go have your haircut there in the middle of the day...would definitely recommend her to friends and colleagues looking for a quality and consistent cut.
Just visited Farzy today. I think her appointment scheduling could be improved. I had to wait 15min after showing up on time for my appointment. I didn't mind because I had time and she was just making sure she did a thorough job with the existing customer.
Other than the wait, she did an awesome job and was pretty efficient about it. She's extremely nice too, made me felt really welcomed.
