I love Fannie May - every time I go anywhere outside of Chicago, people always ask me to bring Fannie May chocolates, especially the Mint Meltaways. It's a Chinese tradition that if you go visit relatives or family friends, you want to bring them something sweet to wish them a sweet lifetime of prosperity (or something cheesy like that) and Fannie May boxed sweets are the way to go (they even have sugar-free stuff, too!)

Great Fannie May location. This shop is huge and always well stocked with great chocolate combinations. They have pre-boxed chocolates and also loose ones that you can make an assortment out of yourself. A great chocolates place!
One of Chicago's best - even though the recent change in management caused a rukus with disgruntled employees.
This location carries a wide selection of standard favorites such as Trinidads and Mint Meltaways. Seasonal specialities appropriately wrapped and ready to go make for great hostess gifts.
