Granted, Family Dollar can be hit or miss (mostly miss). However, there have been a few occasions where I have hit the jackpot. I found one of my favorite prints in a great frame for $20 (It must have been a fluke!)

Today, I purchased a colorful quilted bag (and I'm not a "purse" person). Family Dollar is good for odds and ends: some cleaning supplies, decorating stuff (e.g. frames, vases, cheap linens, throw pillows, ect..)

Yes, most of the stores are located in the barrios. You can find some decent stuff (occasionally) if you don't mind getting outside of your comfort zone.

I found a really cute garden gnome last year but he fell apart after one season outdoors. RIP...................
